Dove is a girl just doing what she needs to do to survive. I feel that. and Angelo... 🥵 That man goes from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye while having all of his red flags that look somewhat green in the right light (or maybe it's the other way around 🤣). This was a spicy, funny, filled with moments of darkness story that I absolutely devoured.

Dove has had a rough life riddle with poverty and as done everything in order to survive. Second Circle brothel owned by the Amato crime family. It is supposed to be a safe haven for girls because of the Amato name. Dove is working there as a sex worker selling her body to clients in order to survive. Romero Amato and Angelo Amato runs is running the family business after their parents retire and move back to their home town. Romero is running the brothel and he does so with a iron fist. He's nasty piece a work with his abusive tendencies. Dove doesn't have no friends at the brothel the girls all hate her. One day Romero wanted to be with her just like the clientele but his approach wasn't good and when she turned him down he started to beat her.
Angelo Amato is the head of the Amato family and he allows Romero to run the brothel to ease the load. He had come to the brothel to visit the brother and walked in office and saw him beating Dove and he was livid and wanted to kill him on the spot and took care of the incident here there. One look at her and he knew that she was the one. He was going to make her his queen owning every inch of her. He knew that his brother was vile and learn even more about all that he was doing. Angelo decided right then that he must put a stop to Romero rain of power and terror at the brothel. Second Circle should have been a place where she was safe, where his family's name protected her, where she had the power to choose her path. But it was his own blood who pulled her into the depths of hell and rained violence upon her already fragile soul. And from that moment he vowed to be her shield and her sword because one look was all it took for her become his, his entire world.
Angelo took from the chaos and a rough life and changed her life forever. He doesn't treat her like a prostitute, he treats her like a delicate broken flower that needs restoration, care and love. He wants to give her the life that she deserves one of luxury and pain free. He will take her from rags-to-riches. He vowed avenge her battered body and put her shattered soul back together while ensuring the life he breathe into her will never be without power or prestige. And all he asks for in return was her love, but consequence if she doesn't give it willing since she'll look so pretty in a glided cage. Angelo is ruthless, powerful, and violent but he treats Dove with care and patience. Angelo helped Dove gain her self-esteem, self worth and power over a time and she stood by him like the true queen he knew that was inside of her along. A swoon-worthy story that demands to be read.

Dove is a “working girl” at Second Circle. She doesn’t have friends and her coworkers are pretty much her enemies on a good day. She hasn’t had an easy life. I found myself crying a lot while reading this book, it just hurt me with what she had gone through. Romeo Amato runs the Second Circle for his brother Angelo, who is the head of the crime family. Their parents are retired and are away. The Amato name keeps the women there safe from raids and prosecution and they have mandatory time off while they get checked medically to make sure there are no surprises for their clients. Then one shift, Romeo decides he wants Dove. She doesn’t fight him because she knows it will just make him worse. Then we get to meet the Big brother, Angelo. I was impressed with how he thought of things, much like Kiril Volkov and the Volkov Bratva. To see them and Oaklynn again in the book was great, I loved it.

Learning about the past of the Amato family was very interesting. Angelo is his father’s son and Romeo is just a big problem. Angelo knew he was, he just didn’t know how bad he was. But, he learns a lot after he stops his brother. He knows from the instant he sees Dove, that she is to be his wife and his Queen. Salvatore is Angelo’s second in command and he is hilarious in how he just handles everything almost before Angelo says a word. He is more brother to Angelo than Romeo. The difference between Angelo & Romeo is like night and day. The book has a lot of things happening in it. I love the fight scenes and how Angelo handles things. The fact that he is so loving and wants to spoil Dove is epically romantic. I fell in love with him as soon as he meets Dove at Romeo’s office.

The book is fun, funny, sweet, dark, romantic, steamy, heartwarming and heartwrenching. It made me cry, laugh, need the AC on because I freaked every time Romeo showed up near Dove. I love how protective Angelo is. Yes, he is Alpha, but he also knows that he can’t do everything for her, if he wants her to truly become his Queen. I was really impressed with him and her. The end really rocked. I can’t wait to see if Salvatore has a book. I so want him to.

His vengeance is swift and merciless, especially when betrayal comes from his own blood. The way he balances protectiveness with possessiveness blurs the line between love and control—and the story knows exactly what it’s doing with that tension.

If you are looking for a dark, sweet, steamy, Christmas romance with a protective, obsessive MMC , a strong willed resilient FMC from completely opposite worlds with a twist you don't see coming. This is the book to read.
Dove is a "working girl"'who works at Second Circle that is owned by the Amato family. Romeo runs it and decides one day that he wants her. But instead of being nice to her, he abuses her. His older brother Angelo walks in on the incident and immediately wants to kill him because he instantly falls for Dove. Angelo takes her out of there and that is when her life is forever changed.
Dove has not had an easy life by any means. Angelo wants to give her the life she deserves but it is not that easy for Dove to accept it.
This was an amazing storyline to read. It is about acceptance but the same time empowerment. The twist in this book you do not see coming at all. I was completely shocked when I read it. But at the same time cheered that it happened that way.
This is a dark violent intensely emotional brutal holiday romance where loyalty is absolute and love is forged in blood. I absolutely loved every page turning moment and highly recommend it .

Brilliant, mafia instalove set at Christmas with high heat, high chemistry, drama and HEAs.

Angelo and Dove are great leading characters their chemistry is undeniable and the heat between them is leg kickingly great.
Angelo is the head of the Amato family, and as such he is hard to miss and difficult to ignore. He has a possessive streak that comes out when he lays eyes on Dove.
Dove is a great FMC and to see her come into her own and accept her place fully as Angelo's Queen was brilliant.

Fast paced read that I didn't want to put down as I was gripped from the start.

I LOVED the Bratva Souls duet, so I was so happy to see Angelo get his story and for the characters from those books play a role. This one was definitely darker, so make sure you check all trigger warnings. I wasn’t sure if I would like this one, with Dove working in a brothel before him, but it was really well done. Angelo was the perfect mafia man, controlled and dominant, but soft and so loving with his woman. He never judged her, instead he respected her bravery more because of her past. It made her the perfect woman for his world and how he tested her while keeping her safe? Loved it. He built up her confidence in herself and allowed her to slay her own demons instead of taking control. He was simply amazing, while also being absolutely filthy in all the right ways. No cheating or OW drama, small OM drama in the form of a psychotic brother (MMC’s) but nothing neither of them wanted and a satisfying conclusion, dual POV, breeding kink, HEA and 2 adorable epilogues. I know he didn’t play a big role, but would love to stay in this world and get Salvatore’s book!

Angelo and Dove are from completely opposite worlds, but he knows she’s his heart and soul from their first encounter. Ember Davis has a special place in my heart: her characters feel like family, their struggles seem real, and the love fills me to the brim! It’s an instalove, age gap, morally gray MMC, and an FMC whose entire life has been loveless. She’s more than his woman and I love her metamorphosis into her role as his queen! Her power, grace, and strength shine as he basks in her presence. His encouragement and confidence is palpable, but their intimacy melts away all of her doubts! 10/10 spice!! Every scene is an exquisitely intense experience and the emotional energy makes it exceptionally beautiful! The magic of Christmas as the background is perfect and the epilogues are the best ending!.

Raised in foster care Dove has learnt the hard way that the only one she can depend on is herself and has worked for everything she has. While working at an adult club Angelo comes to her rescue and takes her to his home however she stopped believing in fairy tales and Prince Charming long ago.

Angelo was enchanted by Dove from their first meeting and knows that she is meant to be his even if it means crossing his family. He is determined to show her that she is destined to be his queen but that means showing how strong and worthy she is until she believes it as well.

Angelo is protective, possessive and will do anything for the woman he loves and when it is required Dove shows how strong and resilient she truly is. This story has an underlying dark premise and includes great chemistry, an all-encompassing love and a few surprises.

Dove is a sex worker at a mafia-run brothel who is being mistreated by her boss, who happens to be Angelo's (MMC) brother. When Angelo meets Dove for the first time, with his brother's hands on her, he fixes the situation immediately and whisks her out of there.
Their love story is all about acceptance, empowerment (he helps her find her own worth and power and it is *chef's kiss*), and their love and passion for each other.
There are some tie-ins with Souls Duet, and we get a visit from those characters in this story.
This is a great semi-dark, mafia-lite steamy romance.

She has always had to rely on herself and has had to fight so hard just to survive each day. Things seem just as bleak as they always do when she goes to work her shift at the Second Circle when her whole world gets tossed on its axis when she meets Angelo, the head of the Amato family. From that moment, her life changes drastically and quickly. I absolutely loved Angelo and Dove! Angelo was everything that Dove never knew she needed in life. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

This book is part of a multi author series called 25 Days of Christmas - Bikers and Mobsters. I absolutely loved this book. Dove is a strong heroine doing anything to survive a world that's been cruel to her even working in a brothel. Angelo takes one look at Dove and knew she was his queen. I loved how Angelo didn't try to fight Dove's problems for her instead gave her power to take on her demons. Angelo was a morally grey hero with a dirty mouth which I enjoyed. I read this book in one setting because I couldn't pug it down. 5 stars for me.

I'd recommend this if you are in the mood for a spicy story with a walking red flag mob boss, a young woman doing what she can to survive, and their instant connection.

Overall, I rate it 3.75⭐out of 5 based on the following: 🤩Enjoyment - 4; 👥Characters - 4; 📖Plot - 3.5; 🗺️Atmosphere - 3.5; and🖋️Writing - 3.5 with the first 3 categories being most important.

What worked for me:

This was the first story I have read by this author and as a short mafia dark romance it was impressive.
A chance encounter between between the two main characters Dove and Angelo provides a great start to a plot that was both engaging and well paced.
The personal struggles, difficult choices and personal growth, especially with Dove, illustrate a chemistry that was off the charts and some pretty spicy scenes that kept me turning the pages. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend. I look forward to reading further works by this author.

Angelo always thought he would be immune to falling in love , but the second he saw Dove he knew she was his.Angelo rescued Dove both from a rough life where she struggled to make ends meet, but also from his brother who was her boss and cruel and crazy.the two fell hard and fast and even though Romeo kept popping up and causing trouble Angelo wasn’t having it and both him and his parent knew at some point he would need to be dealt with. Great story these tomdefinitely knew right away that they were meant for each other.

Dove has not had an easy life, she works a brothel to survive. Angelo is the head of the family and is brother, Romeo, on his chance. Romeo is in charge of Second Circle and he is screwing that up, and dodging his calls. He decides to give him a visit, catches man handling one of the girls, his girl but she does not know it yet.

The pair an instant connection, but with the way life has beat her down, Angelo will need to show her she is fit to be his Queen. This is a steamy read with some violence and drama. The author never disappoints.

She can't see a way out from her life and working in the awful club. The owner likes to get a little something from the "merchandise." He was doing exactly that when his brother comes into the club to check on things because it really is the mafia and not his. The moment he sees her, there was no going back and she will be his. It is an instalove story and he pushes her to find her worth and not let people push her around because she is meant to be his queen.

Angelo Amato is a powerful dangerous entity but when he feels the “Fate's hand” he falls hard. Dove is a woman who has done anything to just survive. When she is brought into Angelo’s world she struggles. I adored Angelo’s possessiveness but also his patience in helping Dove find her power. Well written and filled with dangerous family dynamics, obsessiveness, vulnerability, humor, sizzling sizzle, THYD vibes and a beautiful HEA.

Dove hasn’t had an easy life. Her childhood proved the world wasn’t a nice place and as an adult she’s barely surviving. Angelo took one look at Dove and knew she was his. He’s unhinged in the best ways and determined to make her his. I love that he sees her and loves her but also wants her to be powerful in her own right. Their HEA is both sinfully hot and sweet. Honestly this is a darker romance but still hits all the right notes that makes you love Ember Davis’ books.

Power And Presents is a part of the 25 Days Of Christmas Bikers And Mobsters world and takes us into the D'Amato Mafia. It's Dove and Angelo's story and it's a fast-paced, insta love/attraction story. Dove has lived a life of hardship her whole life. That's all she knows and expects. So imagine her surprise when Angelo D'Amato, Head of the D'Amato Family decides she's his. Their journey is impulsive and intriguing, intense and dramatic. A definite must read!

This was a first for me with this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the way she put this story together. There is nothing better than when a woman feels she is at her lowest that she get rescued by this hot Alpha man and he takes her home to make her his queen. The way these two come together is both sweet and fun to read with how he builds up his woman to become the queen she is. This is a must read!!

What a great read! The Mafia man and his broken doll.

The plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. The characters drove the storyline and they were complex, complicated and totally perfect together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Dove barely has a life. She’s living, but struggling. Angelo steps in during a violent moment and takes over her life. She likes it, but is wary. Is she just his flavor of the month or his future?

A bit darker than I like but not as dark as some stories: violence is prevalent in their world and important to the story.

Fate's hand

You have to love Angelo, even though he lives in the shadows and is a morally grey hero, he is devoted to Dove. He's her defender, her protector and her biggest champion, lifting her high and supporting her without question.
It's dirty, depraved and delicious and it is lovely to see Dove from a close bond with Oaklynn, as Angelo strengthens his bond with his allies, Oaklynn's men.

Dove "works" at a club owned by that Amato crime family. Angelo is the head of that family and Romeo is his brother and runs the club. On one occasion Romeo decides that he wants Dove. Angelo walks in and meets Dove while they're in Romeo's office. Angelo falls instantly and will do what it takes to make Dove his. He doesn't treat her like a piece of property, actually quite the opposite. They go through things together and find their HEA, mob style.
