I did not expect this to pull me in so quickly. I was glued to my Kindle the entire time! I needed this to be at least 200 pages longer.

This little novella was exactly what I was looking for, fast paced, spicy and an interesting storyline. It hardly felt like it was only 100 pages. The dynamic between Corbin and Poppy had me giggling IT WAS SO GOOD.
This is a prequel novella to what seems like a really good fucking story and I can’t wait to learn more about the characters that were introduced at the end, like I NEEEEEED more. I am SO intrigued 👀

Solid prequel novella, I am stoked to read the first in this series if it’s anything like Bloody Seven. Poppy is everything!!! I do love a female serial killer, especially one who is on a revenge mission. Corbin is the perfect “good boy” to her crazy, and I’m excited that we will get to see more of them as side characters in the next book.

Great Novella, a prequel to Their assignment coming soon. Poppy is a strong FMC who uses a tragic event to seek revenge on men over seven years. BUT then Corbin messes up her plans. Loved their dynamic and the fact he likes being called a 'good boy' is brilliant. Definitely recommend.

Wtf was that ending… I suck at reading the content warnings bc did not expect it to end on a cliffy 🥲🤣 but I absolutely loveeee the feminine rage in this book! Poppy’s fiancé was brutally murdered in front of her and her mission is to kill any man that commits any of the 7 deadly sins on Valentine’s Day. That’s until she meets our bagel boy Corbin! One hot fuck has her forgetting her mission until she finds out that her fiancé and Corbin have a dark past together. They were in a secret society whose mission is to marry wealthy women in order to gain their fortunes. Our killer queen poppy was not wealthy and Drew left the society out love for poppy. That backfired and he was killed for it. Now that poppy has 1 deadly sin left, she is determined for it to be the rulers of the secret society. Trent is a slimy mf.

What an awesome prequel novella! The first page had me instantly hooked and so intrigued, by page 15 my jaw was already on the floor. I really loved the revenge, Poppy & Corbin’s characters, secret society, and the instant attraction. Poppy’s character is top tier, due to her dominant nature and courage, we love a woman in control. Hehe 😉 🔪❤️🔥

I can say I do love to hate Valentine’s Day! This is a prequel to something thats going to be action packed and I’m here for it. If you thought roses were the staple to Valentine’s Day think again on this twisted beginning that’s going to have you panting and waiting for more in equal measure!!

I can't believe that this was only a novella for a series we are going to get. I went in basically blind other than knowing basic points of the book, and it was so much more than I could have ever imagined. The author really did put all the characters we met through hell, to be honest, like give them a break.
Especially our FMC Poppy, seeing her fiancée being brutally murdered in front of her, definitely screws up a person, but instead of letting it get her down she turns into a serial killer, you gotta love it. I really felt for Poppy, though, which is why when we got introduced to Corbin, I was rooting for them as soon as we met him.
All of this book was unexpected, and finding out the truth behind everything and the deaths of many other people the main characters have been in contact with was quite shocking. Although this book was short, I would definitely say so much happened, which to me completely changed how long and detailed I saw the book as being.
The writing was beautiful in this novella and I can only wait impatiently for this series, the way it ends is shocking and meeting 3 new characters was very exciting especially after seeing the series will follow them, although I do hope we get to see alot of Poppy and Corbin and maybe a book of their own.

If you're looking for a cutesy Valentine's story then this is not for you but if you're looking for a story about a woman fulfilling a promise to her fiance to avenge his death and becomes a serial killer where her trademark is the deadly sins and a rose then this is the book for you. But there is so much more to than just that this is only the start.
The only bad part about this book is that this is a novella and only a hundred pages of it where I'd gladly would have loved hundreds of pages of it and it still wouldn't have been enough.
If you want a short spicy novella about a female serial killer who has insta love and finds about some big secret society then go and read this you will not be able to put this down. It's the perfect Valentine's Day read if you're looking to escape the mushiness of it all.

When she goes looking for her lust victim she comes across Corbin. After some unexpected bedroom fun with him she finds out that he was actually friends with Drew. She also finds out that things with Drew weren’t quite what they seemed.
I loved that she came back looking for Corbin and the fact that instead of continuing with the original mission she now has a new one. I can’t wait to learn more about Poppy and Corbin. I’m also looking forward to Faylon, Ghost and Raiden’s story.

The plot was plotting, the spice and connection between Poppy and Corbin was amazing! But that cliffhanger almost made me throw my kindle away! How could you do that to me! I LOVED IT! But now I’m super excited for Raiden, Faylon and Ghost’s book🤘🏽

This novella my oh my! Kiley is definitely an auto author buy for me 🤭
This book had me hooked from the prologue, the way it’s fast paced and every time you turn the page you just get take by surprise.
Poppy loses her fiancé on Valentine’s Day, (I won’t tell you how) which sets her up to become a seven deadly sins s3rial killer.
She then meets Corbin and he’s the perfect “good boy” to match her, I can’t wait for the next book, because this novella was just not enough for me 😭

Oh my gosh this book was AMAZING!!! We love some good feminine rage! After losing someone she loves tragically, Poppy is out for vengeance on the city. 7 men, 7 years and 7 deadly sins! When she is back in the city on year 6 on another Valentines Day she sets her sites on Corbin and she quickly finds out what a good boy he can be ;) I can't wait to see where this story goes and to get more of Poppy and Corbin in The Assignment. Also really interested in Fay, Ghost and Raiden :)

Nice, easy and quick read, which was exactly what I wanted when I picked it up. I kind of wish it was longer and that we could have gotten more of the story. I am curious to see where the next book goes with it and how the main characters in that one are.

3 stars. I fear I may have over done it with romance novellas. This I'm not gonna lie left me personally on a cliff hanger. So I didn't feel satisfied. I think I might have liked the stabby fmc but I just over did it. So this just didn't connect with me. I was just a tad bored throughout. The story for me didn't really go anywhere and yet it did. I wasn't crazy on the romance either. I'll try again next year maybe.
