Looking for a no-strings-attached way to go through heat, Gideon signs up with the Titanoboa Clinic to become a surrogate for an alien species. He’ll carry alien eggs in exchange for an ecstatic heat experience, and after ten days, his body will return to normal. He doesn't expect to befriend the odd yet charming alien, let alone fall in love.
The omegaverse romance novella contains hints of sci-fi and tentacles. HEA for the main couple.
Queer fiction author Roe Horvat was born in the former Czechoslovakia. Equipped with a dark sense of sarcasm and a penchant for Czech beer, Roe traveled Europe and finally settled in Sweden. He came out as transgender in 2017 and has been fabulous since. He loves Jane Austen, Douglas Adams, bad action movies, stand-up comedy, pale ale, and daiquiri, with equal passion. When not hiding in the studio doing graphics, he can be found trolling cafés in Gothenburg, writing, and people-watching.
1. kinky, tentacle-laden, porny extravaganza 2. featuring an alien (in and out of his human form) and a human omega 3. having oodles of furious, acrobatic heat sex 4. with a plethora of orgasms and oozing fluids 5. and the added bonus of erotic, ummm, egg laying ...
you're in for a treat because this story is exactly that.
If you go in expecting some world building and character/relationship development (like I did), you'll be disappointed because this story is NOT that.
I couldn't get my mind around a species of aliens who needed an external living vessel for procreation, like it made no sense that the aliens who produced the eggs couldn't also incubate and lay them.
And why did the aliens who fertilize the eggs automatically own the eggs (soon-to-be children)? Were the eggs empty vessels and only the fertilizing alien's genetic material was passed on? Were there no partnerships/parental relationships in that universe?
As you can see, I waaaay overthought the whole thing lol.
But everything was so vague, with the entire story taking place in a hotel suite (a lavish one, but still), and I know Roe Horvat is capable of much more.
OV still makes me cringe but the way Roe Horvat writes it is probably the only way I tolerate. But: TENTACLES. And a caring, gentle alien making a human orgasm till he faints. How did Roe H. make oviposition hot ? It's a mystery.
Now this was different. I was so rocking with it, though. So basically aliens are a common thing in this world. Cool. These are also egg laying aliens. Even better. They have discovered that an omega’s womb is the perfect incubator for their eggs. There is this clinic that pays the omegas to spend their heat there in exchange to incubate alien eggs and basically hatch the eggs when the heat is over so they can finish their incubation process. Honestly I would sign myself up for this, too. Call it curiosity. That’s what the MC here does. He wanted a stress free heat that he got paid from. I get it. He also falls for his alien which makes the whole thing much sweeter. And Mr. Alien is such a fun dude because he doesn’t really understand human culture and sarcasm so he is very blunt with everything it was so funny. He was like “I want to see you and have sex with you but nobody else”, and MC was like “okay so dating?” And alien was like “yes that thank you”. Love him.
Beware that there is a sharing scene. I wasn’t a huge fan of that, but it’s not very intimate if that makes sense? Like Mr. Alien lays the eggs into the omega, but another alien has to come in and fertilize the eggs. Obviously the omega enjoys it, but it was like a job for the alien. And MC alien is there the whole time. And only the MCs are focused on each other. So like I didn’t like it, but it could’ve been way worse.
This was a really fun short story to read to take my mind off other things. How can you be stressed when reading about tentacles?
I’ve said it many times before…Roe is one of my favorite authors. He writes it and I read it.
This though. This. Was. Amazing!
I loved everything about it! I love when characters aren’t supposed to develop feelings and both do by the end of the book! I love how straightforward Siurin and how open Gideon is. They are the perfect match for each other.
And…tentacles…lots of tentacles…
I also really adored that the equipment was not humanoid, this made the story deliciously interesting.
This was fun-my first book with oviposition & I’m not mad at it 🫣 yes this was a novella, but I wish we got to see a little bit more of Siurin & Gordon as a couple!
What a great take on the omegaverse. Even though Roe laid the groundwork throughout the book to help understand this world overall, it never felt like I had to just get through it to read the book. Every new piece of information was so interesting and delightful.
With that being said, this book had all the heat we are used to from Roe with two highly compatible MCs. There wasn’t a single aspect of this book I didn’t like. Even with sharing not being my favorite thing, it fit perfectly with the flow of the book and didn’t feel intrusive at all.
Siurin was a breath of fresh air with his no nonsense attitude and blunt way of speaking. Even Gideon was charmed from the start. These two were perfect together. I didn’t want their story to end. I hope we get so many books set in this universe so I can gobble them all up.
Gideon signed up to become a surrogate for an alien species, in exchange for them to take care of him during his heat. Siurin paid a lot to get the chance to put his eggs in this fragile, beautiful human omega.
Watch them during this heat, and the cycles of ten days. Gideon and Siurin couldn’t get enough of each other. Hot hot interactions!
Siurin is so adorable polite and considerate towards Gideon, even possessive. He wants to pleasure this precious human.
As they start, it feels a bit of a clinical deed, but further into the story when both get to know the other somewhat better, it changes a lot.
You get what it says in the blurb. This is a fun and quick erotica read with some feelings thrown in there. I wanted to see more of them as a couple after their initial arrangement but you only get a short glimpse of them together years later.
Content Warnings (may contain spoilers): - Graphic sexual content between consenting adults - Explicit language - Tentacles and special peen - An Intense Heat - A changed state of consciousness during sex - Brief mention of alien abduction in the past (the main characters are not involved)
Verse: No HEA: Yes POV: Dual Breakup: No Cheat: No, but another alien is used for fertilization. OM/OW Drama: No Ages: Unknown
Quick read, but the tentacles just aren’t my thing. I found it hard to picture what they looked like and how it worked. I also wasn’t a fan of it being in third person.
Holy moly! This was so hot and sweet at the same time. Gideon was surprisingly spicy for a sweet omega, and Siurin was such a teddy bear for an alpha. It was a great mix and so sweet when it needed to be. Really good little alien omegaverse novella.
Omegaverse meets alien tentacle smut.. yeah, there's no way I could resist that. It was filthy and depraved just like I knew Roe Horvat would make it.
I also enjoyed the emotional relationships; the smut doesn't carry half the weight without an emotional connection between the characters. Maybe that's due to my demisexual nature. But I think most romance and smut readers like it when they enjoy the characters outside of sexual situations. I would have loved for this to be a full length novel involving their interests and history outside of the relationship.
What a perfectly erotic sweet novella with absolutely stellar world building. I am in awe of how Roe Horvat is able to give us a complex world with a completely alien species, history interwoven with the human race, layered with omegaverse codes and make it completely comprehensible and dare I say exceedingly interesting - I was completely invested and I hope we see more. This was my first tentacle romance and though I have read alien romances before the MCs have been quite human adjacent - not so with this one and I have to say I loved it. Actually I have yet to be disappointed by any book of Roe Horvat’s I pick - have loved them all this was no exception. If you’re looking for a scorching hot, sweet omegaverse mpreg romance with alien anatomy and peens look no further, you’ll definitely enjoy this novella. I adored Siurin honestly wanted to wrap him up and give him a big hug, he was so courteous and sweet.
Slithery Heat is an omegaverse romance/erotica novella. Here's what you can expect from Siurin and Gideon:
🩷 MM omegaverse romance/erotica 🩷 Third person dual point of view 🩷 Guaranteed happily ever after 🩷 Interspecies relations between omegaverse humans and aliens 🩷 Human/alien 🩷 Tentacles 🩷 Hints of sci-fi
As always, ensure you review the content and trigger warnings to decide if this book is right for you. Note that this list of warnings and triggers may be incomplete. Please take care of yourself while reading. Note that all interactions between the main characters are consensual.
I was in the mood for something short, spicy, and a little bit different and this definitely fit the bill after seeing it floating around Goodreads/Bookstagram over the past few weeks. This was my first time reading this kind of pairing in an erotica, and I thought that aspect made it super interesting, on top of the spice. This book delivers exactly what it promises. There was just enough world-building that took place to understand the dynamics of what was happening (every author has their own omegaverse nuances, but when you throw in a completely new alien race you have to do a little bit of world-building). I thought it was neat that there was a society where humans and aliens existed not only peacefully, but had figured out a mutually beneficial solution in terms of heats/procreating at the Titanoboa Clinic.
Gideon is promised an ecstatic heat and experience, and my goodness, does he get one (it's very messy, I don't even want to think of the housekeeping required for the clinic). It was spicy watching him go through each stage of his heat, with the oddly charming Siurin at his side. On top of the spice, I loved how thoroughly Siurin cared for Gideon as well as seeing the alien in his multitude of forms. I thought the ending of this novella was super sweet, and I would definitely read anything else in this type of universe that Roe chooses to write!
**I received an advance review copy for free, and I'm leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you, author, for the opportunity.
What to expect: 📍Erotic novella 📍Omegaverse 📍Alien x human 📍Tentacles 📍Monster peen 📍Egg-preg 📍Dirty talk
An erotic omegaverse novella with tentacles??? Of course you can count on me to read it! The book surprised me in so many ways. As always, this author managed to captivate me and make me feel for his characters even in a short text like this one. The world-building with the alien races, though brief and lightly mentioned without much depth, was enough to make me wish for more stories with this interesting setting. I want more tentacled aliens!!! There is so much of this race to explore and the possibilities are endless.
I really wish to know where the author got the inspiration to create these aliens...I couldn't believe some of the descriptions and the *ahem* curious anatomies they possessed. I could lie and say that it was disgusting to imagine, but the truth is that I'm so deep into the monster romance pit that I found most of it sexy 😭. And on top of that, if the alien is all green flag, polite, attentive, friendly and generally perfect... how am I supposed to fear a possible alien invasion? At this point I'm look forward to it.
Also, it's important to review the trigger warnings before reading because there are topics that may be uncomfortable for some readers. There is an instance of sharing, graphic sexual scenes with monstrous anatomies, surrogacy, pregnancy with eggs and a scene of giving birth to said eggs (also graphic and highly sexualized), among others.
Roe consistently writes some of the hottest omegaverse around these days. I continue to love his take on things - contemporary omegaverse, dragon shifters, bears, and now sci-fi aliens with tentacles!
The premise fits well within some of his previous omega shifter stories - a heat is coming up for the omega and he needs to spend it with an Alpha. This time, instead of a dragon or bear, we have aliens!
I enjoyed Siurin and Gideon's story together. They had instant chemistry and I loved allllll the added tentacle elements to things. I do feel like maybe Siurin's speech that kinda threw me? I know, I know, he's an alien, but just something had me feeling just the slightest disconnect between the two, as compared to some of his previous omegaverse romances. Not sure how to explain it.
Still - hot as ever, a great take on aliens and mpreg and tentacles! I always look forward to the next book from Roe!
Roe does it best! Please more alien mpreg with aliens being unaware of human customs!
NSFW infos: human omega who needs alpha for heat Alien who needs to deposit his eggs (Poor dude has a 13 inch dick he can only insert fully once in a full moon, well less often) oviposition tentacle sex womb breeding
I question what my past self was thinking. Another short one crossed off the TBR. Sex. Alien sex with tentacles, quick pregnancy and dating. Does what it says on the tin. I lost interest and skimmed a bit.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
But there’s also the sweetest romance ever. I adored how honest and outspoken Siurin was. The way he always asked permission was so endearing! And Gideon had a dirty streak for a tiny omega human. He LOVED being a surrogate and the way he wanted all of Siurin was so cute.
All in all, a smut-fueled alien omegaverse romance with all the heat and heart you could ask for. Roe Horvat is the master of omegaverse and I’ll always stand on that hill.
I don’t really have adequate justification for rating this one 4/5 stars. Other than I like and am entertained by what I like I guess. This novella is all alien smut, with such little plot in addition, it’s almost not worth mentioning. In this world, aliens have come to Earth and they coexist with humans peacefully. The whole novella revolves around an Omega signing up to be an egg incubator during his heat for one of the alien. The alien MMC recently found out he has eggs to fertilize and ends up bidding on Gideon (the omega) because he looks fragile. Don’t worry though, he’s not into hurting him. The rest of the book is the two of them fucking nonstop throughout Gideon’s heat, filling his womb up with alien eggs, his “pregnancy,” and then the delivery of his eggs. The aliens have a humanoid form and a form that has an ovipositor and tentacles. So many appendages in orifices! And the freaking gymnastics required for these positions they get in to can only be described as intense. Throughout the process, the two of them fall for one another and decide to date outside of their paid arrangement at the end of their time together. It’s kind of sweet. The alien specifies is very straightforward and blunt, and that leads to a lot of extra hot scenes in my opinion. I would say the spice is 4/5 peppers. In summation, this is a MM alien smut novella that was quick and easy to read. It was filled with nothing but sex and the two characters falling for one another and ending up in a long term relationship. Hot as hell, kind of sweet at the end.
Just say this author can do no wrong is to just say that this offer can do no wrong. Roe knows smut but with the an absolutely wonderful story and this was no exception for as brief as the story was it could’ve been 500 pages and I still would’ve just wanted more. This was apparently their first introduction into tentacle play and I am so here for it sign me up. I will take easily a dozen more stories of this. Read it. You will love it. We need more that’s that’s it. That’s the review.
This was a simple erotica involving a mix of tentacles, heat, eggs, and omegaverse. It does deliver its purpose, the smut scenes are interesting and there are things that combined together create something I haven't seen yet. Kudos to the author for writting an idea a bit different from their past works.
Although I enjoyed some elements from it (as example, part of the smut scenes that are typical from this author's books), I still felt that something was missing. This had instalust, which is something I'm not into but I can give it a pass in Roe Horvat's books because the writer is somehow able to make me enjoy it.
But here I couldn't fully be into it because I felt that the couple lacked chemistry. I know RH can do much bettert. Part of the writting style -especially the dialogue- was done in a very juvenile way, it needed some editing. I also didn't like how the alien talked, I don't care if it's because he's an alien, it took me out of the story. Other than that, I felt like the alien's real apperance was something out of a horror lol. I guess this helped me realize I'm not into erotica with aliens that don't have an all-time humanoid appearance.
Overall, it's good to pass the time. I liked some elements from it, but I think they weren't mixed/used up to their max potential. I guess this wasn't exactly targeted for me, and that's okay, not all books are for everyone. I'm still looking forward to their future works, since I'm more of a fan of their typical omegaverse.
