Obsessed: A Young Adult Romantic Suspense
Avery has high hopes for summer before senior year, hanging out with friends again. Especially since she’s finally free of her toxic boyfriend.
At least, she thought.
Even though Zander’s going away to college in the fall, he refuses to accept that they are over. Showing up everywhere she is and calling her nonstop. The only thing that may get him to understand she’s done with him is to show that she’s moved on.
Faced with no other choice but to ask a friend, Braden, to be her fake boyfriend. Soon, fake begins to feel all too real when she realizes Braden is the type of boyfriend she always wanted and the more time she spends with him, her feelings become real.
When random inconveniences begin to happen to both her and Braden, Avery wonders if she’s only thrown gas onto the flames. It seems all she’s managed to do is make things worse and put a target on Braden’s back. Avery is faced with either letting Braden go or risking the worst happening to him as the torment escalates, threatening not only Braden’s upcoming football season, but possibly his life as well.

Page turning, hard to put down and kept me engaged from the first page to the last page!
Avery’s got a stalker and he’s tracking her every move! Everywhere she goes, he appears! Avery was put through the wringer in her last relationship! Maybe, a fake relationship will stop the stalking, or will it only entice him more?
If you’re looking for a binge able, hard to put down, somewhat dark themed suspense I would highly recommend picking this book up! Emily did a FANTASTIC job!

I had the privilege of being an ARC reader for this book, and let me tell you, the excitement I felt was unmatched. Emily Camp's books always hit the spot, and this one was no exception. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The story immediately drew me in, making me put on my detective cap as I tried to unravel the mystery. The twists and turns were everywhere, making it nearly impossible to predict what would happen next. The entire book had a constant, nagging feeling (in a good way) of not knowing who to trust. This sense of uncertainty kept me on edge and fully engaged. As a heads-up, the book does touch on some sensitive subjects, including attempted murder, rape, harassment, stalking, and humiliation. If these are triggers for you, I recommend reading with caution. If you’re utterly triggered, then this book is 100000% for you Ultimately, this was a page-turner, binge-worthy, dark suspense that I couldn't put down. If you enjoy this book as much as I did, I highly recommend exploring more of Emily Camp's work. She truly knows how to craft a captivating story that keeps you guessing until the very end.

Obsessed is a fast-paced YA romantic thriller that pulls you in with its relatable characters, growing tension, and a realistic take on obsession and fear. This follows Avery, who’s just trying to move on from a controlling/abusive ex when things start to get weird—texts, run-ins, unsettling vibes. To keep her ex at a distance, she pretends to date Braden (yup—fake dating trope 👀), and the tension between them builds in such a natural, slow-burn way that I couldn’t stop reading.
It’s got the perfect mix of teen drama, sweet moments, and that low-key thriller feel where you’re constantly side-eyeing every character. Nothing felt overly dramatic or too far-fetched, and I appreciated how grounded Avery felt. It’s a clean YA read, but still delivers on emotional connection and suspense.

I was so engrossed in the book that I ignored messages and phone calls for an entire day. I could not put this book down and got about 2-hours of sleep before I picked up the book again to finish it.
Obsessed will have you questioning a couple of the character's integrity and wondering if you can trust them or not while knowing one of them is completely trouble. Another character will come across as a two-bit whore as a friend of mine would call her.
There are some sensitive subjects within this book. There is attempted murder and rape, harassment, stalking, and humiliation. If these are triggers for you, I would read with caution.

I could not put this book down, once I started it. Emily is an amazing writer and knows how to draw in her audience. This story although probably one to tell and write, can relate to a lot of people in abusive relationships! This story follows Avery,the FMC and Zander the piece of crap MMC. He’s toxic,manipulative, possessive and abusive. When Avery has finally had enough, she breaks up with him, but Zander refuses to accept that. As Avery starts dating Braden, Zander gets more jealous and starts threatening Avery and Braden. Lives are on the line and Avery is terrified, she doesn’t want to involve the cops, because she’s scared, that it will make Zander act out more. To find out what happens and if they survive, you have to read this book! It’s soooo good and unputdownable!!!

What a wild ride that was! I loved every minute of it. This book was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from the first page. This is top tier Indie writing at its finest. YA romance suspense thriller all wrapped in one. Crunch you will be missed!

I am completely OBSESSED with this book! Emily Camp nailed this YA Romantic Suspense. She kept me wondering what would happen next to Avery which each turn of the page. Your heart will get attached quickly to Braden (and Crunch).

I completely enjoyed this book, even though the characters are younger than what I usually read, this book kept me interested and was written beautifully. I have read a good amount of books by this author and this was one of my favorites.
The relationship between Avery and Braden starts out as fake, she's trying to detour her ex Zander from bothering her. When she starts to feel like someone is watching her and he keeps showing up wherever she is, she's at a lose at what to do. Braden and Avery start spending time with each other as friends, but Avery notices that she likes him and can trust telling him things she hasn't told anyone. As they begin spending more time together, Zander keeps showing up to where they are. Avery tries to brush it off and tells him that Zander would never hurt her. As things start to pick up with Braden, things to start to get weirder and more dangerous. Braden and Avery have to find a way for to prove someone is messing with them and who it is. Will they be able to do that before someone gets hurt and will they be able to stay together while figuring it out?

This was a good book. The parts I loved most about reading this is that I find it to be a read recommendable to young women .It tells the story masterfully on what to look for with safe intimacy. It realistically addresses the scares alot of young women experience. We claim objectively what it is we would or wouldnt do and throughout this story yelled at the main female character on what she should or shouldnt do as its easier to think logically. There was a brief period where I allowed myself to try and be in the scene and understand "what on earth is she thinking?" and quickly realized that "fear" and "hopelessness" is very real.
The ending of this story was not at all what I thought it would be, nor was the experience at all what I aniticpated. I encourage young adults to venture this story . Some may relate to the main female character in this story if anything they may know someone like her.

This book was such an easy read and I genuinely enjoyed it! This is a small town romance suspense story with closed-door romance. The book touches a bit on a heavier topic—abuse in a relationship—but handles it thoughtfully. Highly recommend this story!

Emily Camp (as always) has written an amazing book. This was my first thriller of hers, but I loved it just as I have everything else I’ve read by her. The romance was sweet and endearing. The thriller aspect kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next without being scary. The narrator for the audiobook was clear to understand and engaging for me to focus on the story and not be distracted.

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! I couldn’t put it down. The story and plot was amazing. Avery the MFC broke up with her ex boyfriend Zander. Then Zander began stalking Avery. Always following her around and knowing where she was all the time. Then Avery began dating Braden and things got worse. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

Stalker, obsessed, abusive ex, one that's willing and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. high school and have to say watch for you triggers with this but I will say once I started I couldn't put this down. I wanted more.... this is a Ya so not my usual read but still very good!!!

Emily!!! What a start in this one! I was hooked from chapter one and the suspense kept coming. I absolutely loved it. I won't give anything away because this is one needing to be read without assumptions. Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely loved this book. I loved the build-up and waiting for the climax of the book. The climax had me so stressed out and scared for the main character and the book wrapped up beautifully at the end. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed reading this book. I don't really like third-person writing style, but I would recommend it because that is just a personal preference. This is YA and pretty clean but does have some triggers like stalking and adult topics.
