He’s dangerously sexy. Way too charming. But I had no idea he was also my brother’s closest friend.

After getting burned in my past, I don’t trust easily. Especially men who seem too good to be true. Then he shows up in Silver Ridge for the ski resort grand opening. A mysterious stranger, tempting me with his tousled dark hair, a way with words, and a wicked smirk.

When he steps in to protect me from a handsy creep, I decide to take a chance. One night. Until I get cold feet.

Then he turns out to be Dane Knightly, billionaire owner of the ski resort. And my brother’s best friend from the Army.

I’m a simple, small-town girl, and that’s how I like it. Yet after Dane arrives, my life takes a turn toward the exciting. I’m suddenly swept up in a mystery with deadly stakes. Dane swears he’ll keep me safe. And he insists on spoiling me, too. Before I know it, Dane says he wants to keep me forever.

But how could I ever trust him with my heart?

In this small-town romance, you’ll find a self-proclaimed nerdy girl, a cocky ex-solider turned executive who sweeps her off her feet, a glamorous trip to NYC, and heart-racing suspense. Each book in the Hart County series can be read as a standalone.

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC and just like the first book, I loved this one.

Grace and Dane know of each other but have never met so when they run into each other at a coffee shop and at a masquerade party (where sparks fly), they don't recognize each other until a dinner where they both realize who the other is and that nothing can happen but the both of them can't stay away from each other, especially after something happens at her house that leaves them both uneasy.

As this book goes on, you see Grace's walls break down, and starts to trust Dane after her past experience with someone has left her hurt and wary of men. Dane will do whatever he can to prove to Grace that he means what he says and backs his words with action.

"Moonlit Colorado" will be available on April 30th and I hope you all give this book a chance and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

"She’d noticed something was wrong from the look on my face, and I’d felt this click inside me. Like Grace was the exact answer to the emptiness I’d been feeling." - Dane

i was given an opportunity to read this as an arc for an honest review and i can tell it's easily five stars for me. she did that romance and suspense thing so well that it keeps you hooked in since start. and it's small town romance, another charm added to the story.

i fell in love with grace since the start, she is so like me, loving the 'boring' because boring is safe. but she isn't like it at all, she has fire hidden in her and it shows along with the story. she is kind, down to earth, strong and loves to be independent. i could understand her skepticism towards dane at first because of course if you see someone so perfect, you are bound to overthink.

and dane is everything you expect from a billionaire, my man literally spoils her and i love every bit of it. he isn't arrogant but actually so respectful, understanding. i could understand his dynamics with his family and his need to make his mom happy. also the way he didn't take it in his ego and did everything he could to make grace comfortable and become her friend, that's actually interesting.

their chemistry was shown since their very first coffee mishap and the tension was clearly visible. but i loved how the brother's care, protectiveness was not over done and they handled it pretty well. dane and grace's relationship is so healthy. they knew they liked eachother and even if they were skeptical at first, but they moved in a steady pace, earning each other's trust and letting walls down. i was screaming at them to kiss since beginning but when they did, everything just fell right at place because it wasn't just one time thing, they went in knowing each other. their flirting, tension, sweet moments everything just makes you want to fall in love. also the fact that he was so protective and possessive of her but didn't take away her independence, let her indulge in what she wanted and didn't coddle her like others tried. he became her partner in all sense. that was when i completely fell in love with him.

and of course there is this friendship dynamics that just adds so much happiness to their story. the way they all care for each other is so endearing. and suspense part was done so well, just adding the mystery and keeping you all guessing. can't wait for next book and next couple to swoon over.

ARC REVIEW

The MMC falling hard is always a win for me!

Dane is Grace’s brother’s best friend but they’ve never met until an accidental coffee spill. Dane is immediately enamored but Grace is on a strict no dating pact with her BFF.

The next encounter at a masquerade party at Dane’s new resort left me eating all the breadcrumbs from one night to start the slow burn between the two.

Grace is shy, reserved and self proclaimed “boring girl” while Dane is outspoken, pushy and full of confidence. The two characters juxtaposition melted perfectly into their love story.

The mystery threaded throughout the story as Dane tries to come to terms with difficult family matters left me wondering who was behind all the turmoil - that twist was shocking!

I can’t wait to read more of this series!

I read Starcrossed Colorado back in February and was so excited to be accepted for an ARC of this to head back to Hart County.

The little snippet of Grace and Dane in the epilogue of Starcrossed Colorado was the biggest tease and it set the book up for good things. It didn't disappoint and I loved it from the start.

This was such a fun book, romance with a bit of mystery suspense. I really enjoyed it!

Dane and Grace shared an instant, undeniable attraction from their very first meet-cute, and that chemistry only deepened during their second encounter at the masquerade ball. I really appreciated that even with their masks on, they recognized each other—because when you’re that drawn to someone, it makes sense you’d know them anywhere. Their connection built naturally throughout the night, and the slow burn of sexual tension between them was well done. I also liked that the story didn’t rush them into a relationship immediately; instead, it let the tension simmer, especially after they realized their connection through Grace’s brother, Ashford.

While their relationship did move a little quickly toward the end, I appreciated that Grace made a strong, believable effort to resist those feelings before giving in. It made their eventual coming together feel earned rather than forced.

Another highlight was the shift in setting from a small town to New York City, which added a fresh dynamic. Dane’s billionaire lifestyle—with private planes and luxury shopping—was fun to see, but it also gave us more insight into his background and family, adding depth to his character.

I was thrilled that the mystery element kicked off early and was woven throughout the book with just the right pacing. It built suspense without feeling rushed or dragging the story down. Finally, I loved watching Grace grow into her bravery—not only going after what she wanted but also standing up for herself and others. Her character development made her easy to root for and added another layer of strength to the story.

ARC review

4⭐️

After receiving book 1 in this series as an ARC few months ago, I was thrilled to get the chance to read this one early as well and it did not disappoint!

Grace likes safe, even if that makes her boring. Her family has been through enough. When her best friend Piper drags her to a fancy hotel opening party she meets a handsome stranger who turns out to be her older brothers best friend Dane Knightly who just bought the local ski resort. After some strange interactions at the hotel opening, Grace finds herself tangled in a mystery which could put her, and those she loves in danger.

I’m just obsessed with this series as a whole! You’ve got a kick your feet romance, a charming small town, with dramatic twists which are truly propel the story forward and aren’t just thrown in to try and make the book more interesting.

Dane is protective over Grace, but Grace is a badass who can also take care of herself and I loved that about her. I also liked the New York society aspect of this book, it made for a nice change up from the small town setting we’ve been in so far in this series.

This was my favourite in the series so far, I couldn’t put to down and finished it within 24 hours. I will definitely be continuing with this series (and am thrilled to see 2 more books are due to come out this year!)

Thanks to Love Notes PR for the eARC 💌 all opinions are my own.

I’ve really enjoyed Hannah Shield’s stories in the past, and Moonlit Colorado delivers another inviting mix of romance, charm, and small-town suspense. With fan-favorite tropes like brother’s best friend, he-falls-first, and a protective billionaire hero, this story has plenty to hook readers from the start.

Grace is a down-to-earth, relatable heroine with a quiet strength, and her initial skepticism toward Dane—mysterious, charming, and not quite who he first seems—felt completely believable. Their connection builds slowly but sweetly, and Dane’s desire to protect and care for her is a definite highlight.

While this one didn’t quite become a personal favorite, there’s still a lot to enjoy. The Colorado mountain setting is lovely, and the suspense adds an extra layer of tension that raises the stakes without overwhelming the romance.

Moonlit Colorado is a solid addition to the Hart County series and will appeal to fans of small-town romance with a hint of intrigue. Can’t wait to see where the series goes next!'

(Devoured in 2days)

Moonlit Colorado had everything you need in a good romance
- easy to read and good pace
- hot, ex-military, swoon worthy billionaire (who also happens to be the brothers best friend)
- story alongside the romance (cannot stand one that’s just about the love, give me some other grit to it!)
- no third act break up but there’s drama
- loveable characters throughout, and not just the main characters

Overall this gave me Lucy Score romance vibes and I’m here for it! I would highly recommend getting your hands on a copy and give it a read!

4 Dane and Grace Stars

Another enjoyable read from Hannah Shield. Book 2 in the Hart County Series picks up where Book 1 , Starcrossed Coloradoended , but features a different couple. Dane is the best friend of Grace's brother , Ashford. The two had never met before but an encounter at a Masquerade Ball sets an intriguing chemistry rolling.

Great secondary characters and a decent mystery that keeps you turning the pages.

I hope Teller's book comes soon.

HEA? Yes
Cheating? No

Having just read book 3 in this series, I was intrigued by Grace and Dane’s story so I decided to jump right in! I’m glad I did, because I loved it! Give me a sexy billionaire any day of the week…and then having him completely smitten with the small town nerdy sweetheart? And doing whatever he can to make her his permanently? Yes, please! We also get a good suspense plot line, lovable side characters, so smutty spice and sugary sweet romance. I’m loving this series!

Safety:
- No OW/OM (both have a few moments of jealousy, but nothing big)
- No cheating
- No separation / no third act break up

I was an ARC reader for the first book in this series too. Both books are very well written. I love that everything gets wrapped up in a nice little bow by the end. I cannot wait for the rest of the books in this series to come out!

Dane being so protective of the people he cares about is swoon worthy. I also adored how much he wanted Maisie to like him. I always love seeing characters from past books in a series of interconnected standalones.

Moonlit Colorado is the second book in the Hart County series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first.

It's been a while since I read a billionaire romance and was excited when I realized this book had a billionaire romance aspect to it.

I really enjoyed the book. The storyline was great, their relationship felt natural, and I loved the suspense.

Great addition to the series!

A brother's best friend romance with a masquerade twist. This is another great book by Hannah Shield! In this book we get all the fun of a slightly forbidden 'oops I didn't realise it was you' trope mixed with a romantic suspense scandal. The FMC has a bathroom encounter with an odd stranger that sets off the suspense plot which further intertwines the main characters. The MMC spoils the FMC and the brother is supportive of their relationship with no over the top reactions. When the scandal breaks and the danger resolves the MMC sees some healing with his relationship with a parent and the main characters get a HEA. The book flows well and is a perfect read for when you're looking for a mix of mystery and romance.

“Moonlit Colorado” is the second book in Hannah’s new series “Hart County Series.” In this small-town romance, you’ll find a self-proclaimed nerdy girl, a cocky ex-solider turned executive who sweeps her off her feet, and heart-racing suspense. Everything to keep you hooked from the start to the end. Grace has been hurt badly in the past, hence never letting her guard down enough to trust someone. Then she meets Dane Knightly, the new owner of the ski resort, neither realising who each other actually is.

The physical attraction between them is instantaneous. Her first reaction, when he accidentally wore her coffee, was YIKES… “Dark lashes rimmed his steely gray eyes. His wavy brown hair was short on the sides, tousled on top. The sleeves of his sweater were pushed up, revealing tanned, veiny forearms.” Her best friend Piper knows Grace well and the type of man she needs…. “However, I recognize that you, Grace O’Neal, are the kind of woman who enjoys a hefty serving of brains with her brawn. You need a touch of elegance.” Maybe Dane is that man….

Piper drags her to the VIP grand-opening party for the new hotel at the ski resort. Arriving at the hotel party, all dressed up and wearing masks, she wondered if the guy from the coffee shop with steely grey eyes will be here. Maybe he was in town especially for this party…. Standing at the bar drinking a bourbon, Dane notices a woman in an elaborate red mask step up to the bar. “Her dress hugged her curves like a Porsche on a mountain road. Her hair was a mixture of golden and auburn strands, which fell in waves around her shoulders.”

Grace’s night is getting weird. First she could not find Piper, then there was the woman in the bathroom that gave her the mask, then accosted at the bar by a complete stranger in a possible case of mistaken identity and then rescued by the guy from the coffee shop! The two of them hit it off, both mentally and physically. Dane invites her up to his room and then she disappears. “She’d ghosted me. Dashed off like Cinderella about to turn into a pumpkin.”

The next day Dane realises that Ms Red is Grace O’Neal. Ashford’s little sister. Grace realises that Mr. Black is Dane Knightly, Ashford’s best friend. Oh boy, let the fun begin! Feeling towards each other change very quickly. The physical attraction grows to emotional feelings….dare I say love? Both have been hurt badly in past relationships, can they overcome and have a future together? The chemistry between these two is strong, but first, they must learn to trust each other….

You will fall in love with Dane and Grace, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Moonlit Colorado is the kind of romance novel that sneaks up on you — not just because the chemistry between Grace and Dane is off-the-charts, but because it's wrapped in an irresistible package of mystery, scandal, and small-town charm.

What I adored most is that this wasn’t just a steamy, slow-burn romance (though trust me, the tension between Grace and Dane is chef's kiss). It’s also a suspenseful, twist-filled story with real stakes. There's danger, hidden truths, and just enough darkness to keep you flipping pages late into the night.

Grace is one of my favorite FMCs in a long time — glasses-wearing, food-loving, loyal, and so capable. Her decision to learn martial arts? Total badass move. And I love how she doesn’t let anyone (not even her overprotective brothers) put her in a box. She’s strong without being hardened, sweet without being a pushover — exactly the kind of woman who can go toe-to-toe with a reclusive billionaire like Dane.

Speaking of Dane... how refreshing to meet a billionaire who doesn’t act like an entitled jerk. He’s down-to-earth, respects his employees, listens to the community, and genuinely wants to do good. That combination of brooding charm and decency? Irresistible. The way he and Grace tease and challenge each other is pure gold, and the slow build of their relationship had me hooked. I do think the whole best-friend’s-sister dynamic could’ve been even more explosive with a bit more tension, but hey — the swoon was still strong.

And shoutout to the side characters! Margot = queen. Every scene with her was a delight. Grace’s brothers were protective without being overbearing, and Maisie? Too adorable for words. Even the subplot with Dane’s family — especially the heartbreaking bits about his mom and the cold indifference from his dad and adopted brother — added so much emotional weight.

But let’s talk about that mystery plot. WOW. The suspense was perfectly paced and actually left me guessing. I was turning pages like a maniac, desperate to find out what would happen next. And the twist at the end? Didn’t see that coming, not even a little. Grace and Dane as a crime-solving power couple? I’d read a whole series of them sleuthing together.

Overall, Moonlit Colorado is a gem — cozy, thrilling, romantic, and packed with heart. I’m already itching to get into the next book.

ARC Review
Thank you to Love Notes PR and Hannah for sending me an early release of this book!

Compared to the first book in the series, this one had a slower burn, but still kept me hooked. One of my favorite things was how Grace, the main character, wore glasses—and remained confident while doing it. As a glasses-wearer myself, I love when authors write heroines with glasses who aren’t reduced to quirky or cringey stereotypes. Grace had real, relatable awkward moments, but nothing that made her feel exaggerated or unrealistic.

I loved that she was smart and fully owned it. Even better? Dane—the love interest—noticed and admired that. One of my favorite scenes was when he bought a book on stocks (or business—I can’t remember exactly), just to connect with her. So cute.

Dane really stood out for me. He saw Grace for exactly who she was and preferred her in her natural state—glasses, baggy clothes, all of it. But he also hyped her up when she stepped out of her comfort zone. I melted every time he complimented her when she dressed up. Their dynamic made me feel so warm, and yes—I was fully kicking my feet.

My only critique of Dane is that I wish his military background had played more into the plot. There were moments where I expected him to be more alert or tactical, especially when it came to threats like Ansley and that other guy (whose name escapes me). A scene where he really stepped into that protector role with some strategic action would’ve been incredible.

As for the mystery element: I felt it lacked the depth and suspense of the first book. The concept of Ansley running a prostitution ring through one of his hotels had potential, but the reveal didn’t hit as hard as it could have. The girl in the red mask? She grabbed my attention early on, but the payoff felt a bit underwhelming.

That said, I still really loved this book. Book one is my favorite in the series so far, but that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed Grace and Dane. I’m especially excited for book three—Ayla’s story. With the stalker setup, I’m expecting something darker and more intense. And if Im right about Grayson and Teller’s sister… I’m going to lose it. I need that book.

“It felt like Dane had claimed me as his. And to my surprise, I was completely on board with that.”

✔️romantic suspense
✔️brother’s best friend
✔️billionaire MMC
✔️he falls first & hard
✔️small town
✔️no 3rd act breakup

I highly enjoyed the first book in this series, but I think this one was even better and the bar has been set high for the rest of the series. Grace (FMC) and Dane (MMC) have never met before the events of this book, but they are connected because Grace’s brother Ashford is Dane’s best friend from when they served in the military together. On the surface these two are complete opposites and a relationship probably wouldn’t work — Dane is a billionaire living in New York and is content there (though something feels like it is missing) and Grace is a small-town girl through and through with no intentions of ever leaving Colorado or falling in love after the disastrous events that occurred months before (would be spoilers for book one so I won’t give that away here) and the way she was almost swept up in it all. Watching them come together and figure out not only their relationship but why Grace is being targeted by some very dangerous people is equal parts sweet and suspenseful, with the most perfect conclusion.

I love that the suspense in this book was different, but no less twisty, than what happened in the first book of the series. It was intertwined with the romance plot perfectly, but both main characters were honestly just innocent bystanders who got swept up into a bunch of craziness and I was totally caught off guard by who the mastermind of it all ended up being. There are a couple of things that were left open-ended and didn’t feel totally wrapped up (like the MCs relationships with their estranged brothers) but I know one of those plot lines will continue in future books with the FMC’s siblings so I’m not too concerned about that loose thread at this point.

Dane is a little overbearing but well meaning, and Grace is initially hesitant but strong and capable. The different facets of their personalities fit together well, and who doesn’t love a fictional man who just wants to spoil the FMC? I devoured this book and am so excited to read the next one!

- Billionaire MMC
- Ex-Military MMC
- No Third-Act Breakup
- Slow Burn
- He Falls First
- Suspense/Mystery

Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶/5

I have not read the first book of this series (Starcrossed Colorado), but don’t worry, you don’t need to. This interconnected standalone is a first person dual POV featuring Grace (the sister of the male lead from Starcrossed Colorado) and his best friend Dane.

Dane is a smooth talker. He’s very confident in himself and is persistent in pursuing what he wants. He’s respectful of boundaries and is keen on consent. He’s also aware of the advantages of his lifestyle. Dane is not known for having long-term relationships, however, when he meets Grace he starts rethinking that lifestyle. She makes him happy, something he hasn’t felt in a long time because of his family situation. I lived for his flirtatious banter with Grace. Their conversations were always entertaining. I don’t usually like straightforward men, however, Dane knows when to push and when to hold back so his personality didn’t bother me.

Grace has been hurt before, so she’s afraid to trust others. She is an independent and hard-working woman. It’s difficult for her to be selfish, but with the help of her friends, family, and Dane, she can grow and go after what she wants. There were times her actions annoyed me, but given the circumstances, they were understandable. I loved how respectful and kind she was, without coming off as a pushover.

The whole book focuses on their relationship. It’s not an extremely slow burn—they “get together” halfway into the story and the relationship continues to develop thereafter. The addition of the suspense/mystery subplot was a nice touch to a classic small-town girl x billionaire romance story. I was actually more interested in this subplot than their romance—or at least it’s what kept me reading.

If you’re in the mood for a light romantic read, give this a try.

This book not only includes a captivating romance, but also danger, intrigue and family drama. Grace is the town darling, the person everyone counts on to help whenever and wherever needed, with a smile on her face. She is a caretaker at heart, but doesn’t believe love is for her and is afraid to trust anyone with her heart. That is why she practically runs away from the handsome stranger she inadvertently dumps coffee on even while he is trying his best to get to know her. They cross paths again at the Masquerade Gala for the opening of the resort in Silver Ridge, neither knowing each other, nor their connection to her brother, his best friend. Their evening includes odd incidents, his rescue, scintillating conversation and an invitation to his suite, one Grace agrees to before another incident brings her to her senses and has her scurrying home.

Dane is surprised to discover the lady in red from the gala, the one he can’t forget, is his best friend’s sister. Despite the bro code (or best friend’s code) which makes Grace taboo, Dane can’t stay away from her. He proposes that she be his guide around town, introduce him to the business owners and residents alike so that he can garner some goodwill and build business relationships. The real goal is to get close to Grace and hopefully get a chance to claim her as his own. There is just something about her that tells him that they are meant to be. When it appears that Grace has somehow become a target, Dane whisks her off to his suite at the resort, much to the dismay of her brothers and their friends. Seems Grace has any number of people willing to protect her from any danger coming her way, including from him. A family wedding that Grace agrees to accompany him to leads to drama among Dane’s family, more intrigue and danger with a tie in to the resort and the strange incidents at the Gala. As they grow closer, can Dane protect the woman he has discovered he doesn’t want to live without as the danger escalates?

This riveting book has my full recommendation.

Talk about twists!

This book had so much going on and in the best way. I had to keep reading because I needed answers! And also I loved the love story that was unfolding. The fmc and mmc, falling for each other was the only thing I was able to predict. The ending caught me by surprise and I was here for it.

Grace goes to a masquerade ball and ends up meeting a woman in the bathroom who seems to be stressing about something. She is nervous too so might as well talk this woman down. But when Grace’s mask breaks and the woman she has been talking to gives Grace her mask, she thinks nothing of it. But that all changes when she is mistaken for that woman and both are not good encounters. But in between those encounters, she meets this mystery man who is completely captivated by her. So when he invites her to his hotel room, she’s not shocked. But she gets spooked by someone thinking she’s the woman she met in the bathroom and decides to call it a night. Even if she really wanted to spend all night with him. A missed opportunity, but Grace accepts it wasn’t faith and she will never see the man than made her weak in the knees without even touching her.

With Moonlit Colorado Hannah gives us the perfect mix of romance and suspense. I was hooked from the start and couldn't read fast enough to see how things all ended.

Dane has come to run a hotel at a ski resort he's bought in the small town where his best friend Ashford lives. They became best friends while in the Army and has always wanted to live where he was happy when coming on vacation. He's got a troubled relationship with his father who never approves of anything, his brother hates him with a vengeance and his beloved mother is suffering from Alzheimers. His dream is to make the hotel a big succes to make a point to his father and he'd love to take his mom there because she used to love the place when they visited when he was young.

Grace is Ashford's sister, she's quiet but sarcastic, nerdy and volunteers for any project she can help with. Grace literally bumps into Dane whom she doesn't know is her brother's best friend. When she's persuaded by her best friend Piper to go to the masked ball organised by Dane, she reluctantly agrees. Unfortunately thing take a dangerous turn when weird things start to happen and she is threatened.

From that moment on Dane, who fallen quickly for Grace, turns into protective mode, does everything he can to keep her safe. While the attraction is mutual, Grace holds back a bit more due to her being hurt in the past.

The story starts a bit slow concentrating more on the relationship between Dane and Grace but once we hit halfway the suspense is turning up. From that moment on I couldn't read fast enough to get to the end.

Moonlit Colorado was a fantastic read and I can't wait to for Teller and Ayla's story! If you like smalltown romance with a pinch of suspense than Hannah Shield's books are just what you need!

This was my first book by Hannah Shield that I've read, and honestly I just added her entire backlog to my TBR.

"Now that I’d acknowledged how much I wanted her, I also knew I’d do whatever it took to make her mine." - Dane

She gives the perfect amount of romance, steam and suspense throughout. I devoured this within a day and barely gave myself any breaks. ALSO, side note, if you haven't read Book 1 (Starcrossed Colorado) you won't have a difficult time catching up. A lot of what happened in Book 1 was sprinkled throughout, so I understood the premise of each character and a brief telling of their back stories in order to enjoy this one.

Dane is everything you'd imagine from a Billionaire looking for some peace. He rolls into Silver Ridge for the grand opening of the family hotel he's going to oversee, and he's hoping that maybe this trip will trigger the happiness he's looking for. And in walks Ms. Grace O'Neal - gorgeous bookkeeper, book-lover and SR native. They hit it off and it's only up from there.

When they both get mixed up in an absolutely insane scheme (can't reveal a lot here!!), they're brought even closer together. The chemistry between the two of them is instant, and even though Grace TRIES to withstand it - you can't help who you fall for. I loved seeing Dane absolutely spoil Grace and try anything he can to win her over. I also enjoyed the friend group dynamic and the absolute protectiveness of Grace's older brothers.

Having everything fall into place, and a happy ending that's NOT a wedding or pregnancy, was really something and I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I plan to go back and read Book 1, just for further insight, and I'm very excited for the next chapter!

Thank you Love Notes PR and Hannah Shield for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

✨ARC REVIEW✨
5/5 ⭐️
3.5/5 🌶️

When I TELL YOU… I finished this in less than 24 like I did the first one 😮‍💨 I thought I had a ride during Starcrossed but Moonlit came and made me into a puddle 🙌🏼 🫶🏼 Hannah Shield is now an auto buy author and I WILL be going to order ALL her books 👀

I knew I was going to love Grace in the first book so I was so thrilled to have her be the main character in this one!! This whole “boring is safe” clearly WASNT her and I loved watching her get that fire and confidence back with Dane❤️ She’s not afraid to protect a woman and she knows how to protect herself 🙌🏼

Dane.Dane.Dane. You could NEVER make me hate you. A misunderstood billionaire who only has eyes for one woman? Give me 10 of them 🙌🏼🫠 My man SPOILS Grace… as he should. He just wants to make his mom happy even if it puts him in a not so fun situation with his dad. I loved watching him learn to love and be patient with Grace. He only ever wanted her to be comfortable and happy❤️

Their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS from the second they interact!! And it NEVER LETS UP either. I also loved that there wasn’t miscommunication with them. Yes they were skeptical at first but they trusted eachother enough to talk things through!! We love a GREEN FLAG❤️ I was kicking my feet during ALL their intersections.

Now… the SUSPENSE part of the story was EVERYTHING!! Hannah did an incredible job at balancing the romance and suspense. It blended so well with the story and flowed amazingly. Again with the first book, I did NOT expect the plot twist!! Usually I guess them fairly quickly but Hannah is throwing me off my game 👀

This romance is PERFECTION… throw in some mystery, deaths, and found family? You do NOT want to miss this series🙌🏼 AGH I can’t wait for the third book already!!

Dane and Grace’s Story

In book 1, Starcrossed Colorado, we meet the O’Neal family. Ashford was the main character, but we get introduced to many others, including his family. His sister is Grace, and his best friend from his military days is Dane.

Dane was headed to Colorado in book 1, as he was buying a local ski resort. He watched Ashford, and he admired the life that he had. Dane’s life has been complicated lately and he used the CO ski resort as a getaway. It was grand opening week and he had arrived in town. While out and about the small town, a local woman ran into him spilling coffee. He couldn’t help but to take notice of her, there was something he liked.

The VIP event, and everyone in town wanted an invite..the resort grand opening masquerade ball. Grace, and her best friend Piper, had tickets and were going. Grace had a very weird encounter when they arrived, and now a man was coming to her rescue. The same man from the coffee shop. She couldn’t deny he was something nice to look at, and fun to be around, and they end up spending a few hours together. With an invite upstairs, Grace has every intention of going up, until another weird encounter freaks her out and her and Piper take their chance and leave.

The next day, Ashford invites Dane to join him and his family at the town festival and he agrees. He is introduced to Ashford’s fiancee Emma, his daughter Maisie, and then running over…his sister….Grace.

Grace from small town Colorado and Dane from New York. They lead such different lives but none of that matters when they are together. The O’Neals have had their problems but Dane Knightly’s family has their own issues. Add in those weird encounters and you have lots of drama from beginning to end.
