Zak was first introduced at the end of Mated to Alphas. In Bound to Exiles, we get to know the mysterious new hybrid. Y'all, Zak made my heart bleed. It was easy to like him right off the bat. He's warm, kind, confident, and very flirty on the surface. However, underneath all that good is a world of pain. He's a hybrid, meaning he was never fully accepted anywhere, including his coven. Zak has been manipulated, abused, and broken. All he wants is to belong. Gods, he had the tears building behind my eyes. Through it all, he just took whatever he was given; that includes Freya and the guys. I understood their leeriness, but they could have done a little better.
The story was fantastic. Equal parts romance (with some long and steamy scenes) and plot. Not only are Freya and the guys adjusting to Zak's arrival in the group, which shook things up, but with the bonds growing, the previous pack dynamics are changing as well. There were some rough moments, but no real angst between them. We also learn a little bit about Freya's fifth mate. I liked him immediately, and I can't wait until he joins the Howling Echo. The Frost Fang pack was struggling big time. They gave me an uneasy feeling in the previous book, and now they've gone and proved me right to feel so. Flint's sister Fern is right in the middle of it. I can't stand her. How she is related to my cuddly Flint, I don't know. There was more magic, familiar faces (some good, some not so good), and more than one betrayal. As if that wasn't enough, Traci gave us an incredible twist. I didn't see it coming, but it fits the rest of the story. So yeah, I was having a good time with this one.
Things are coming to a head. The Howling Echo is facing multiple threats and being forced to make impossible decisions. Bound to Exiles was amazing. There's only one book left in the series, and I, for one, can't wait to see how it all ends.

Freya and her mates face more challenges even with her newest addition, Zac is helping her learn and she is able to reason through his teaching to put her own twist on what her magic can do. Her sixth mate has made an appearance, that has also boosted Freya’s confidence. Heath’s dad has made an appearance deal with the witches that cause the pack to nearly lose hope, with this steamy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ book leaving off on another cliffhanger 🧗.

I loved every single moment of this book!! It was a delight to see how Zak fit in with the rest of the group and how we got insight into each individual and their relationships with each other. I loved watching Freya grow in her power. The timing throughout the book was perfect and the spice level was definitely turned up!!! I can’t wait to read what happens next!!

I love how the story is turning out. I'm enjoying the plotline, and wondering how the final book is going to be. We have Zak getting to know them and the rest of the pack getting to know him.

This is my favorite story of the series to date ! Zac is added to Freya’s growing reverse harem. Gage, Rowan, Flint and Heath aren’t sure what to make of another magic wielding hybrid, but the heat levels are rising amongst them all, and swords are crossing. The Beta wolves are causing trouble, but what they didn’t take into account was not all Alpha’s are like Freya’s men and when push comes to shove those alphas had no problem causing trouble and using hostile ways to take over. This is probably the most adversity filled book of the series ! The characters are well written and the storyline kept me engaged throughout. 5’s ! I can’t wait to meet Tor in book 6 ! Very explicit ! 18+ due to content !

Reverse Harem, Wolf shifters, Witch, multi POV chapters, Harem grows over the course of the series.
Sheer perfection! I have actually read it three times, the last time after rereading the whole series again from start to finish to get the full effect, to say I am a fan is an understatement.
Just bought the paperback too!
OK I waffle, here goes...
So hard to write this review in particular without spoilers as all the major events are spoilers but I will say this book evokes so many emotions. The story is so expertly crafted, you feel the pain, loneliness, joy, love so deeply, alongside the characters that you forget real life at times.
The story is tumultuous, filled with action, hard decisions, and revelation.
Pack life, traditions, mythology all blended seamlessly, old friends and new start to rally whilst the Howling Echo go from strength to strength in the most sizzling, mouth watering ways; get that air con on prior to reading! Heat wave warning!
It also has one delicious, no scrap that, many delicious surprises that are the chef's kiss! Mmmmm!

Thoughts: I love this book and this whole series! Warning…for your own safety, please have the number of your local fire department on hand, because this book is on fire! The author seriously cranked up the spice in this book and I love it. She does such a great great job of finding the balance between continuing to evolve the story and throwing in some great spice.
The end of the last book introduced us to ZAk. At the start of this book, we get to learn more about the mysterious Zak, see if he can work his way into a place within the ever shifting pack. Can Zak fulfill his destiny and help Freya control the magic that stirs within her?
It was great seeing the continued character development of the individual characters and the growth between them and within the pack. The pace of the book was great and I never felt like there was a lull in the story. Traci is so consistent in keeping a great balance between pace, plot, character development, action and spice. I always have a hard time putting these books down. They’re just a really fun read! I highly recommend this series and book, I can’t wait to see what happens in the final book.

Oh my goodness, what a book. I'm sure my tablet melted with the heat that came off the pages of this one!
So it's book five, please read the others before you read this one to make sense of what's happening and to understand this world.
The author has built up a great set of characters with their own rules, laws and regulations which will be too many to put in this review. The story is the main thing driving this series but the erotica, oh my. ( Excuse me whilst I faint)
Lots of action including mm, which is seriously well written. In fact none of the sex is gratuitous it just strengthens their bonds and is so seemlessly added, none of it is out of place.
We have a new Mage, Zak, who is lovely, humble but so wants to join in. Freya, our heroine has really come into her powers and is learning more day by day.
I knew we were going to have trouble with Fern, the beta wolf, who I can't believe is lovely Flint's sister. I'm pleased to say she gets her comeuppance but I won't give spoilers. Our four other men are just so wonderful each with their own personalities which I love it's hard to have a favourite. If pressed maybe Rowan.
So a great book, loads of action in the story and in the bedroom. I can't wait for the sixth book to see how it all wraps up and we get to see her sixth mate in the flesh rather than in Freya's dreams. I highly recommend this series.
However I must add this is an adults only book due to sexual content.

This story development is amazing!!
This book was amazing! The plot twists and turns, character development, and world building are all fantastic. We get to dive deeper into the dynamics of the howling echo and truly get to meet the newest mate Zack! We got introduced to him at the end of the last book, but this book we get his back story, how the dynamics are changing for all the mates, and how he will fit in 😉. I definitely recommend this as an 18+ due to the explicit content, but it is such a fantastic read. The story development is phenomenal and the spicy scenes are a can’t miss! I will say that I love how Traci uses her spicy scenes as a way to emotional dive deeper into these characters and the story. They aren’t just thrown in there for no reason! It truly adds to the story line itself and your love for the characters.if you love fantasy with a modern take, strong female main characters, steamy scenes, and men who LOVE their woman then do not hesitate to start this series. It is one of my favorites! I cannot wait to see where the story unfolds from here!

I loved everything about this book. At the end of the previous book, I was a bit nervous at how Zak would integrate into the pack, but I fell in love with him from the start. He portrayed confidence and a little bit of cockiness through his flirty banter, but then we learn that this is covering up pain and trauma from his life in his coven.
In this book, we are able to witness the growth within the Howling Echo pack as soon as Zak shows up and shakes things up. The sexual magnetism that he has makes everyone in the pack confused and they learn things about themselves by the end.
I am so glad that we were able to see more of Heath and Gage’s relationship blossoming, and we learned more about the bonds of the pack and how unique and special they are.
Book 5 was fabulous and now I can’t wait for book 6 and meeting Tor!!

I have enjoyed every second of the time spent reading this book. I actually read it twice. This series has lived rent free in my head for a while now.
We follow along the adventures of our Howling Pack. The concessions they must make, the dangers they must face, the trust they need to build and the people they need to find to help them along the way.
The relationships are so deep and meaningful that you are bound to understand them and feel for our favourite characters.
Spoiler alert : if you do not enjoy cliffhangers, you might want to wait for the last book of the series to be published before you read this one.This ending is heartbreaking while still heartwarming. I really can't wait to see what happens next !

Freya is finally settling into her magic and we get to meet her fifth mate, Zac. He is such a sweetie while being a powerful teacher for Freya's magic. Plenty of action, both inside the harem and out in the wider world. There are all kinds of changing relationships and discoveries among the packs and the pack members. The guys are finally ready to admit feelings for each other, not just Freya. And the whole pack is getting stronger with the new bonds. I can't wait for the next (last?) book.

This pack is just so right, they are so great together, every book i read i fall more and more in love with them. And with Zak being new, it just added so much more to the pack. The difference between them, the love, the banter, it felt so good, so right. The group scenes are epic, i don't wanna spoil anything but OHHH i love them! It had more action and the next one will probably have even more because of what's to come and who will come next, i am so excited for the last one, for freya to finally have her happy ending with her mates.

Traci lovelot has a way with world building and characters that I absolutely love!!! This pack has become one of my favorites to read about!!! I really love how unique and different each wolf is but how they all love each other in the most beautiful way...Now Freya and her mates are preparing for war and I can't wait to see what's going to happen when she uptains all her power and her odinswolf mate.

What a roller coaster Traci has sent us on in this book!! I just couldn't put the book down. Lots of action both in and out of the bedroom. I didn't trust Zak at firs when he was introduced in the previous book but I certainly do now. Really looking forward to when he get to be with Freya. Also looking forward to the male Odinswolf to be welcomed to the pack. Absolutely stunning book!!

love all the books in this series!
I didn’t review each book individually because so eager to start the next. Freya is strong and loving and smart and sll her mates are perfection! The story is very good. Leadership and loyalty are key lessons. Gage is a perfect alpha and I love that he overcame his issues and embraced his feelings for Heath. I can’t wait for the last book!

5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good.

I like this series a lot. Is it too slow and could we have avoided a 6 book series situation? Totally, but it's fine. So now everyone is totally bisexual teehee. And there's one more mate to go. I'm thinking Rowan will come back with two Odinwolf.
