Arianna Isabella is an author of gothic and whimsical dark fiction whose work explores the tangled roots of betrayal, identity, and survival.

Known for plot-driven narratives wrapped in poetic prose, her stories linger at the edge of the forbidden, where relationships unravel, power is never clean, and desire rarely comes without consequence.

Writing through a Black, queer, polyamorous, and AuDHD lens, Arianna crafts emotionally rich fiction that resonates with readers who crave depth, danger, and beautifully complicated characters. Inspired by her love of reading of visionaries of fiction, who shaped her belief that fantasy is political power, and that power must be personal

Her body of work includes the Cyndicate series, a cinematic dark academia thriller exploring institutional power and interpersonal fracture, and Neverwraith, a haunting fantasy reimaging that casts lost boyhood in shadow.

In addition to her work as a writer, Arianna is a junior lecturer and the force behind Ink & Rebellion, a dark fiction brand built on intellect and defiance. She lives in the UK, building worlds where the fantasy is lush, the danger is real, and the politics are never background noise.

I enjoyed the premise of the book having familiar characters such as Smee, Pan and Pan’s children but this book is LONG and made it difficult to hold my attention. I think the story would have been better told in separate books instead of all ran together. I did enjoy the narrators pause to kind of catch you up and give things to consider.
Overall, unless you have the time, energy or attention span for a 1000+ page book i would skip this one.

This is a high Epic fantasy book with little spice (it’s more about building that delicious tension). That is not a bad thing at all, that is just to make readers aware of what this book is. This book was such an adventure to read with amazing complex characters, adventures and amazing story telling. Arianna has such an amazing way of writing that you don’t see often so it may take you a minute to adjust but once you do it will blow you away the way she writes and builds a scene. The story can be a little complex to understand with all the different POVs and storylines but honestly once you buckle up for the ride and just let the story sweep you up it just all comes together. Now this book is THICK but I like them that way but don’t expect a quick story but that is the only way to build such amazing characters and a world like this. Obviously, the fact there are dragon riders was so cool along with all the other creatures that I am having trouble choosing a character/scene that I loved most (but honestly, I think I am a darling girl, so I am def interested in where his story goes). I think the MMC mourneborne who is one of the main protagonists was so cool to read about as his story unfolded but also a lot of the side characters were so interesting such as Ophilia or even one the fae towards the end who liked to drink (I forget his name) were some other characters I enjoyed. But keep in mind that all these characters are complex so they won’t always do what you expect them to do, and they may not always do the right thing but that is what makes them so interesting to read. Overall, this was a fantastical story inspired by Peter Pan and while it’s in no way a retelling you will definitely see the elements and themes from Peter Pan, and I really enjoyed them. So, if you’re ready to read a high complex fantasy with multiple POVs that ends on a cliff hanger that will take you a while to get through then you need to buckle up and check out this book. Again, I just love the way Arianna writes and the way she describes a scene. I have read a few of her books and I am always just so surprised by the way she writes things because it’s different and refreshing from anything else I have read.

Oh, and she did something really cool with this book that I haven't seen many authors do but there were these narrator pauses that were little breaks from the story and felt like someone just talking to you like breaking the 4th wall or whatever it's called that was talking about what happened or give nudges to what might come. It was interesting and I enjoyed it felt like something that happens at plays sometimes with one of the actors.

This book is about Mourneblade who was betrayed by the crown killing his mentor who was like a father to him. But in his mentor's death some of his secrets came to light that opened up the world of dragon riders to Mourneblade. People who were thought long gone but were just in hiding but now these otherworldly beings are colliding with dark Fae magic as well as the haunting powers of the shadows. The Person at the helm seemingly to lead this charge of nightmares and destruction is Peter and his brothers who has sets his sights on Mourneblade our reluctant hero who will have to sail through the darkness but who knows what awaits him when he does.

I was a beta reader but I will always give my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this book! As a huge fan of Peter Pan growing up, seeing familiar names throughout the story made me so happy.

That said, this book is big! If lengthy reads aren’t your thing, this might not be for you. I did struggle a bit with the sheer number of pages and think it might have worked better as multiple books, but honestly, I didn’t mind it much! More story just meant more to enjoy!

The writing was incredible, and I absolutely loved the characters. There are a lot of POVs to keep track of, but I really enjoyed how unpredictable the story was. Just when I thought I knew what a character would do, I’d be completely surprised!

If you love dark fantasy, I highly recommend this book!!

This was the most pages I have ever read and I read the whole book in three days. To be highly degree, the author did her due diligence to ensure the story was accurate from beginning to end. I fell in love with the characters. Melbourne is a strong, fearless Caotain of Smee’s Folly. And there’s no better friend than Havelock. Sorry but Peter Pan turns out to be a very dark character but I felt myself hoping he would turn around. Thens there’s Ophelia saving the world. Someone is not what you see and her name is Mira. You are going to meet pages upon pages of so many characters you will need a pen and paper to keep track of all of them. I can irrefutably leave with you this comment, you will be a better person for reading this story. My heart is now full, I have read the “best of the best” fairy tale retelling of Peter Pan.

Neverwraith is a dark and epic fantasy story that immerses the reader in a world of secrets, mystery, and adventure. I enjoyed most about this book is the feel of peeling back layer after layer of each character’s background as well as the story itself. Just when I thought I had them figured out, I was complet surprise. You’ll find familiar elements in this story, but this is definitely its own epic tale. I was 100% invested in several of these characters and still need time to recover 😭😭😭 Definitely recommend this read if you’re interested in an epic high fantasy take with gothic elements.

This is a dark fantasy reimagining of Peter Pan. I love a good retelling when that retelling is done right and oooo was this one so good! Mind you she is a thicc one so be prepared for that! This is my first read from this author and I can't wait to read her other books just based on how much I did love this one! Once I got used to the writing and everyone's POV's and story lines I throughly enjoyed this book. It did take me a bit to read because I have been kinda in a reading slump but this is just what I needed!

This Peter Pan retelling is out of the alternate timelines Hall of Fame. I love Mourneblade, his backstory, his mannerisms, everything is awesome, and to say this and it not take away from the rest of the cast to me shows the quality of the writing in this book. I love the merge of myths with the Vampires, it didn't feel forced and flowed so effortlessly with the story and the book. if you are into fantasy books, this is a must read. It is a epic so get comfy this isnt a quick read but every single page is worth it.
