Caparelli Crime Family #3

Unforgettable Underboss

Rate this book
She’s been following me for days now but I don’t know why. The curvy brunette with deep green eyes and the weight of the world on her shoulders keeps showing up while I’m engaged in Family business, distracting me and throwing me off my game.

The woman is a terrible spy and an even worse liar. Even so, I'm hit with a possessive streak a mile wide after I confront my unsubtle stalker. She can hardly speak, but I know she’s in danger. Everything in me shouts for me to protect her.

When I find out how my sweet Valerie is connected to our enemies, however, I’m not sure where her loyalties lie. One wrong move and the woman of my dreams slips out of my grasp. I have to find her before it’s too late.

Valerie has met Enrico awhile back, but he doesn't remember her now. She's been sorta stalking him so he can help her out with her abusive . and is also a cop trying to take down the family. val goes to him and makes a mistake, thinking he'll be mad when he finds out who her brother is.

when the drama hits he does get angry, but he knows why she couldn't tell him. they make up pretty fast. no real big drama.

next up is the boss!!

No ow/om drama, no cheating, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore

Mafia lite and damsel in distress are some of my favourite tropes, so this one was great for me! Trigger warning, this book does deal with familial physical abuse, but she runs to Enrico who saves her. The whole way through I was not wanting to get to the when he finds out who she is part, but it really wasn’t bad. I found Enrico’s reaction to be realistic in the sense of anger and betrayal so that was good. He really only had those feelings towards her for a minute though, and I liked how fast that whole situation was dealt with. There were a few plot holes like how her brother knew where she was, and Enrico as an underboss not thinking of the family when it came to bringing her in/not getting her story right away. But it had some drama and suspense and overall was a good read! No cheating or OM/OW drama, very small third act breakup…kind of? Lasted only an hour though! Dual POV, HEA and an epilogue a few years in the future. I can’t wait for Aurelio’s book, the tension in that one I think will be top notch!

This is book number 3 of the Caparelli Crime Family series and focuses on Enrico and Valerie. Enrico is the underboss for the Caparelli crime family and has been aware that someone had been following him. One day, he decides to confront the person who’s been stalking him and in turn finds Valerie. Valerie had been enduring abuse from her brother, who happens to be a cop, for a while but when she finally had the courage to run away she knew that Enrico would be the person to protect her. Enrico took one look at Valerie and immediately felt protective over her and knew that she was his. When her connection to her brother is brought to light, Enrico is angry but also knows what Valerie means to him. He doesn’t let anything stand in his way and is determined to love and protect her. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Oh how I love a damsel in distress and of course the Alpha hero who saves her. In Unforgettable Underboss by Cameron Hart, we get everything we want in an Instalove book, although it is not quite an Instalove book. Actually our heroine, Valerie, had met Enrico before she ran to him. They met years before when Enrico, although he worked for a mafia family, he protected a neighbourhood that had gotten caught in crossfire. Now Valerie needs help, she needs to get away from her cruel, abusive brother, and she can only think of one person to go to, Enrico. Enrico knew someone was following him, stalking him really, but when he came face to face with his “stalker”, his whole life changed in that instant. He didn’t know her, but he knew he had to protect her, from anything and everything. Then their love is tested, and Valerie runs, and Enrico needs to get her back. Marvellous story, and the spice is so good!!! Loved Unforgettable Underboss!!!

This is book three in the author’s Caparelli Crime Family series and features Enrico, the second highest ranking member of the Family, second only to Aurelio, the Boss.

Enrico may be this big, bad, underboss but secretly, he’s a big ol’ softie—not that he won’t do whatever it takes to protect the Family, he’d do it in a heartbeat—but it’s obvious by the things he did when Valerie, our FMC, was a child and then the way he took her in, he’s got a soft heart for others.

Valerie had had enough of being abused by her older brother and walked out with nothing to her name but a backpack and the clothes on her back. Having nowhere else to go, she took a chance on the kind mobster she remembered as a child to protect her from her crooked brother. When her brother comes calling though, bringing trouble to the Family’s door, will Enrico still think she’s worth the inevitable fallout?

I’m loving this Caparelli Crime Family series! Far from being the cruel and thoughtless mob, the Caparelli’s protected and provided for the people in need in their territory. And Enrico…that man is s3x on legs! Loving one minute, filthy in the sheets the next with his dirty mouth and tenderly dominant ways…who WOULDN’T fall in love with him?

Aurelio’s book is next, if Enrico’s and the two previous books have been THIS good, I can’t WAIT for the Boss’s!!! For Enrico and Valerie though, 5+ stars!

She has her bag packed and is ready to go. She can't do it anymore. Her brother has hit her for the last time. Ever since their parents died, his temper and behavior has gotten more dangerous and erratic. He is a cop so no one looks at him twice. She has no one else, but the memory of someone who once helped. She knows he is the wrong choice, a mafia man, but the kindness he showed all those years ago still stick with her. So she approaches him. He is enchanted with the young beauty and has no idea why he feels compelled to take her home with him. She is amazed by his caring and generosity but worries he will kick her out when he finds out who her brother is and the trouble he could bring to his family. This is a bubblegum mafia story, a few elements and a little danger but not really a lot of dark or danger. This is a short form story so there is not a lot of page time for character development or complex plot lines, you get enough to quickly invest you with the characters. There is some fun passionate spice, very hot, descriptive spice and a happily ever after.

**Saved by the Underboss**

"Unforgettable Underboss" is the third book in the Caparelli Crime Family series. When Valerie finally escapes her abusive brother, she seeks out the only person she feels safe with—Enrico, whom she met 12 years ago. When Enrico notices that someone is following him, he decides to confront them. However, everything changes when he locks eyes with Valerie and sees her bruises. In that moment, he realizes she is meant to be his, and he vows to protect her from whoever has hurt her.

Their instant connection and chemistry are off the charts, but Valerie knows she must reveal more about her past to Enrico before it catches up with them and threatens his family.

This instalove story features lovable characters and a fast pace that makes it easy to read in one sitting. There’s just enough drama, steamy moments, and family misunderstandings to keep you turning the pages. I can't wait for the final book in the series! Happy reading!

Another wonderful addition to the Caparelli crime family, a gripping read
This is a wonderful cover of Valerie and Enrico’s story; you will find the story of how Valerie who has run away from her home having to leave her brother alone at the house. She runs to Enrico he is fortunate enough to find her just prior to the house going into lockdown.
Enrico is the underboss and he is a protector for the family and the family has been put into lockdown because they are aware there is a threat of the police infiltrating them with a plant so this is a way to hopefully prevent this from happening.
I enjoyed the story immensely and am sure that other readers will find this to be as captivating a read as I did and will look forward to future books by this author.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

This is Valerie and Enrico's story. Valerie ran away from her home and her brother. She ran to Enrico. He finds her just after the family went into lockdown. Her brother is a cop who's a drunk and Enrico is an underboss. That's trouble waiting to happen. They are in lockdown because they fear the police may attempt to plant someone. The story was short and mafia light. I was disappointed in the fact there was really no plot. It just seemed as if the author wasted a great opportunity to have a really good story. The brother rarely made an appearance; Enrico was really only wanting one thing and ignored the business. It needed to be fleshed out more and the characters to not be one dimensional. As far as a brain break, it served its purpose. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book is FANTASTIC!!!!!

Unforgettable Underboss is so deliciously filthy while also being beautifully touching….

She is so strong despite being let down and beat down by all who should have loved her…she has the courage to leave…to run to the one man who has ever taken care of her, never mind that he didn’t know who she was and she was a child…their love is furious and desperate and filthy and beautiful….😍🤗🥰🔥🌶️

He is dominant…But utterly at her mercy for his obsession with her…..always her protector… he is fierce in his desire for her…. hungry for her….always…..🌶️🔥🤗😍🥰🥵🤩.

Enrico and Valerie

I know if I'm reading a Cameron book... Its gonna have Insta love, a curvy and sweet FMC and a growly and possessive MMC. That's exactly what this book has.
Valerie comes from a broken home, her parents were k*lled in a car wreck and her brother became her guardian. Instead of bein protective of her, he is abusive. So she makes a plan to get away and she's going to Enrico for help.
Enrico knows someone has been following him but he doesn't know why and when they meet, he doesn't care. He just wants her in his home where she will be safe.
Valerie has a big secret that she's keeping from Enrico. It could end their relationship when he finds out. He has to make some tough decisions. Will he forgive her or will he walk away? How will his boss/best friend react to Valerie's secret giving the fact it has something to do with the family.

I absolutely, undoubtedly loved reading this book it was fantastic, I was hooked from the start like the other two books before this book. This series "Caparelli Crime Family" this book we are reading about Enrico and Valerie, she had met him years ago and he helped her he was so nice to her, now she needs help again and this time she has secrets that could jeopardise their friendship. The chemistry between them was deliciously hot from the start of them seeing each other. When Enrico seen marks on her he became overprotective with her, Enrico doesn't show emotions and when her secrets start to unravel, will he want her still.

Valerie and Enrico, I really enjoyed their story. She has been following him, mainly because he makes her feel safe even though they don’t know each other. Valerie has had to leave her home that she shared with her violent brother. Enrico sees her watching him (again) and takes her under his wing.
Insta attraction, lots of passion and then things go belly up when her brother comes. She runs away, Enrico finds her and we get a swoon worthy ending.
Lots of spice, strong characters, a misunderstanding that is resolved quickly and lots of love that jumps off the page.

This was a really enjoyable mafia lite romance and I was in awe of how Valerie was able to take an important childhood memory and use it to make her brave enough to ask for help. Enrico was a hero in her eyes and, although she knew he really wasn't, she didn't doubt he could help her escape her abusive brother. Enrico, I got a kick out of. His perplexity at her following him around and then being all tongue tied when she first tried to speak to him was cute. Of course, he steps up and helps her but he also is rather OTT for her ;) These two were on fire together but they have drama to deal with to get their HEA. The included epilogue, I also loved. Definitely recommend this fun and steamy read :D

Valerie has been living with her abusive brother, who is a cop, since their parents died in a car crash. She is determined to make her escape, she believes that Enrico Masini, Underboss of the Caparelli crime family, can help her. She follows him for a few days before she puts her plan in motion and packs her stuff.

Enrico would not have moved up the ranks, if he had not noticed the cutie that has been following him. When he surprises her, he gets a surprise himself, she has been hurt and he wants to protect her. He brings her back to his house in the Caparelli compound.

This is a sweet and steamy read, even bad boys have a sweet side for their girls.

Her protector

Valerie doesn't need words to steal Enrico's heart, it only takes one teary look and his protective instincts go into overdrive. I love the men of the Caparelli Crime Family, they may be morally gray but they are growly, protective, Alpha and fantastically filthy! Enrico may want to protect Valerie from harm, but he also needs to claim her and corrupt her...which he definitely does.
The Caparelli's are still waging war with the corrupt on the police force but have they finally got the evidence they need? Who would have thought the Crime Family would need to crush corruption in the police....are they changing their ways?
I read this on Kindle Unlimited and look forward to the final book in the series.

This is the next Novella in the Caparelli Crime Family series. And while I liked it, it wasn't as action driven as the first two. A good percentage of it is smexy times. Both main characters are well written and I liked them, the story was good but it just didn't grab me like the first 2 books. It felt kind of like it was setting up for the next books. There was no resolution with Valerie's brother or really anything else, which i understand to a point because it's a part of the over-arc of the series. So while still liked it it didn't really feel finished. I can't wait for Aurelio's book. I have to give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Unforgettable Underboss is another good read from Cameron. I enjoyed it, and the it adds to the Caparelli Crimson Family series nicely.
Valerie is looking to escape her abusive brother, she knows the man to go to. She remembers his kindness from 12 years ago, and hopes he'll extend some kindness to her today.
Enrico knew someone was following him, she wasn't hard to miss and once he saw her he was intrigued. Anything she wants she can have. Except she's got a secret that could jeopardize their future if doesn't come to light soon.

Mafia light, insta romance with some spice thrown in the mix 4/5 stars.

This book was so good I went looking for a similar series also written by Cameron. I had already purchased one years ago. Binge reading at it finest!

Valarie is in need of help and protection.

Tropes:
Bruises, damsel in distress, mafia, virgin, police corruption, Las Vegas, curvy woman, age-gap, possessive protective hero, forced proximity, spanking and other kink, HEA romance.

A huge thank you to Cameron Hart and Booksprout for providing me with an eARC book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Mafia romance.
Valerie is a young woman living with her older brother in a caravan after the death of her parents. One evening, after her brother became more violent with her, she decides to flee and take refuge with Enrico.
Enrico is a dark man who works for the mafia. One evening, after being followed, he meets the beautiful Valerie. He has a crush on her, but in the midst of a war between the corrupt police, he doesn't know how to protect her.
Will Valerie and Enrico have a beautiful story, or will Valerie's secrets make him lose his trust…

Enrico is a savior of Valerie's past and her future. The way he takes her in without a doubt in the world that it's the right thing to do shows that the mafia isn't always bad. And this time the author highlights just how crooked the cops are and that they aren't always the good guys. Love that role reversal. It's also very steamy once Enrico breaks down enough of Valerie's defenses to worship her. And worship he does - very thoroughly!!.

Unforgettable Underboss is a mafia-lite insta-love romance with a sexy blend of action, drama, alpha-protector hotness, and so much love. Enrico falls hard and fast for Valerie, an abuse victim who refuses to take any more from her awful brother. I love how Valerie and Enrico connect on a soul level. Their smexy times are so incredibly hot, and the third act drama really notches it up! This was a fast and engrossing read that I’ll enjoy again.

Yes it’s a mafia story and there is a one scene with shooting but it is so much more. A love story between an abused woman (not by the male lead but a family member) and the mafia underboss who is so much more than his title. The tension is there and it builds with side glances and lingering looks - so sweet. Great read.
