Honestly, the angst was a bit too much for my taste. However, I absolutely loved Buck's yearning and pining for Opal. The fact that he texted and called her weekly for an entire year after just one night of talking was delicious to read. That devotion and dedication? I was here for it. ✨️
What really frustrated me, though, was Opal. She didn't return a single text or call from him over that entire year, and frankly, I felt she was being unnecessarily stubborn. I understand her ex, Edwin, messed her up after five years, but come on, girl! Get your head out of your ass! It was hard to root for her when she was so closed off. 🙄

I meet Opal in a previous book, and thought she was a character worth getting to know. Her past with Buck, the big country star, was much more than he talked to her ,one night a year ago. Turns out he's been texting her every week trying to find her. Once he finds out she's on the Mail Order Ranch as the head chef, he books a cabin. Waiting for the perfect time to see her. Lots of Angst, and mistrust needs to be put aside, so they can have any chance. Of course they get their beautiful HEA ending!😄😍

This book wad amazing and I could not put it down! What a beautiful love story to reaf. Opal had serious issues from a previous relationship that had left her to believe she was unloveable but Dalton didn't have that problem and fell for her right away!
