Daring Destiny

Rate this book
Chloe and Ronan know what it feels like to be in limbo with each other. They felt it when they first met—when they were more than friends but not quite dating—and they feel it now, two years later. The difference? Instead of sneaking glances at each other and flirting like they used to, now they’re avoiding one another and ignoring the elephant in the room. They broke up three weeks ago and still have to survive a weekend together.

After calling it quits just a month before their best friends' wedding, they knew they had to keep the news a secret until after the big day. This is how they find themselves sharing a bed together at a joint bachelor/bachelorette trip—just the two of them and the bride and groom.

Chloe will continue to play the role of Claire’s funny, outspoken, and bold maid of honor, and Ronan will be Jay’s calm, cool, and collected best man. Together, they’ll pretend they’re still that couple that can’t keep their hands off of each other and fake their way through a romantic getaway. They’ll act like everything’s fine, so they don’t spoil the wedding while keeping not just one secret but two—the breakup and the reason behind it.

Think it sounds easy? Try it. I dare ya.

Daring Destiny (Maple Grove Series Book 2) by Cassandra Moll

5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Quote: “We all have that one fear that stands in the way of creating the future that we truly hope for. Sometimes it’s easier to talk ourselves out of something, rather than run the risk that it might not work out.”

Why does she keep doing this to me. My emotions are on a roller coaster and I feel like I am in the story living the ups and downs with Chloe and Ronan. At times I am smiling, at times I am angry and at times I am heartbroken and at times I am in love. Her writing her character development are top notch. And the way the characters from her first book Beautifully Broken are intertwined into this book is so absolutely amazing and fit perfectly. Chapter after Chapter leaving me wanting more - hoping after hope that Chloe and Ronan can find their way back and how my heart hurts that it might be over?

ARC Review - Daring Destiny by Cassandra Moll
(Maple Grove Series Book 2)

"But she's hot."
"You're hotter."
"She's got these lips—"
"That have nothing on these." He plants a gentle kiss on my pout.
"But those eyes! They're like a cartoon's!"
He tilts my chin up. "But I don't look at them like I look at yours."

I have to say, those lines got me! I loved this book! It was so fantastically written. It took me on a journey from laughing one minute to a roller coaster of emotions the next. I loved Chloe’s sassy banter and Ronan’s thoughtful and calming presence. I enjoyed how her characters from Beautifully Broken are wrapped into the storyline of Daring Destiny perfectly.

From friends to lovers, Fake Dating, One Bed, Enemies to Lovers, you go on a journey with Ronan and Chloe on the realization of their destined relationship and fighting to come back together. Pages full of ups and downs that have you on edge to find out what the ending will be. It is a definite must read and if you haven’t read Beautifully Broken then I urge you to read that one to. You don’t want to miss out! RoChloJaire 4ever 🤍

I was completely hooked from the opening chapters. The tension between Chloe and Ronan was palpable, and I found myself frustrated that they were not together because their love for each other was so obvious. The flashbacks were a great addition, giving insight into their past and how their relationship evolved over time. I also loved seeing how their friends and family spoke about them as a couple, which added so much depth to their dynamic.

Jay and Claire were absolute standouts for me. Their personalities brought so much warmth and fun to the story, and I would love to read more about them. The book was packed with some of my favourite tropes, including one bed, friends to lovers, forced proximity, fake dating, and second chance romance. There is definitely a fair bit of miscommunication, so be prepared for that if it is not your thing, but I enjoyed how it all played out.

This was such a romantic and engaging read. I loved the journey of Chloe and Ronan, and I was rooting for them the entire time. If you love angsty but heart warming romances with strong friendships and great character dynamics, this one is worth picking up!

Okayy…. We have friends to lovers. We have enemies to lovers… but THIS!? This is freinds to LOVERS to enemies BACK to lovers 😍 I mean absolutely nothing could go wrong when someone has commitment issues right??

I LOVE that Ronan is your average man. And his LOYAL to a fault! HOWEVER….. Chloe’s wit and sarcasm is my absolute favorite. OH and we get to see Jay and Claire’s baby in this book! It doesn’t get any better than that!

If you have never read any of Cassandra’s books…. YA NEED TO! I dare ya 😉

Daring Destiny is a cute book about second chances, found family, and the importance of taking care of mental health.
There was so much tension, so much heartbreak! The two main characters will hurt your feelings, make you frustrated, annoy you, and also make you love them so much. These characters had so much depth, were incredibly self aware of their flaws, and all around really developed characters. I had such a good time - even when I was yelling at Ro and Chloe to get it together.
I love the way Cassandra Moll writes her books and have already made her an automatic buy for me!

I listened to the audio of this book and it was done really well, few foreign noises.

ARC REVIEW: Daring Destiny by Cassandra Moll
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Quote: “The truth is, I’m embarrassed to say, but I got a breakup haircut—my straight blonde hair once reaching the middle of my back, now sits layered across my collarbone. But I needed a change. I needed to do something I could control.”
“Change is scary, girls, but so is living life unfulfilled.”

Friends to Lovers to Enemies to Lovers 😂 Give it to me: THIS WHOLE CYCLE! I want it. Chloe and Ronan!!! THE TENSION!!!! The cliffs that hang within that TENSION! I can’t y’all! I can’t! Aaahhhhh ☺️🙌✨If I had a lighter skin shade my cheeks would be red without a doubt. One bed in a cabin???? Are you kidding me? 😂 WHAT IN THE ‘TWO CAN PLAY THIS GAME IS THIS????? 😂 Y’all this book damn!!!

“The best thing about Ronan though, is the way he treats almost everyone he knows like extended family.” RONAN, you cute patootie of a man!!! 🤩⭐️🤩 C’mere! 😊💛😊

“You’re the good thing,” Chloe, my darling girl…same! I’d say the same thing. This man got you and I simping. 🤣🤣🤣😩😩😩💛💛💛💛 How is he so fine inside and out??? Tell ME!
“Funky shirts with cool sayings are kind of my…thing.” Me too, Chlo. You and I are literally besties, LITERALLY!

Trope, trope, tropety trope tropeeeeeee, yes sign me up pleaseeeeeeeeeee… enemies that were once lovers 😂 that have no choice but to be around each other because their best friends are loverssssss????

OMG!!! 😂 I loved this so much!!! In a feral manner!!! Forced proximity!!! Fake dating!!!✨💛🥳 All the cute tropes are in here!!! The BANTER!!! 😂 All the feels in this book. All of them from the high giddy ones to the low tones…EVERYTHING! The miscommunication where I just want to knock some sense into Chloe and tell Jay everything but I can’t apparently. I just gotta let everything unfold excruciatingly slow. Ugh 😣

CASSANDRAAAAAAAA 🗣️ I can’t wait for everyone to read this obviously. 😂 and as a person who’s not read book one, I’m so glad I got to see Jay and Claire. But mostly Jay! He’s entire vibe is 🥵. Hiding all the goey sweetness of his under all those tattoos and 6ft something height of his. And the fact they fit so well with Claire. I know whoever reads “Beautifully Broken” is in for a treat.

ARC REVIEW - 4 STARS

I was beyond excited to dive into Daring Destiny, the second book by Cassandra Moll, especially to finally see what would happen with Ronan and Chloe, who had been such a strong presence in Jay and Claire's story. I couldn’t wait to see where their relationship would go and how their individual journeys would unfold.

Initially, I wasn’t quite sure about the change in writing style from a dual point of view (POV) to a singular one, especially when it came to Ronan’s and Chloe's perspectives. I had hoped to get a glimpse inside Ronan’s head in the same way we did with Jay’s, and I found myself missing that deeper connection with his character. However, by the time I reached about 87% of the way through, I had an epiphany—when Ronan delivers his emotional speech, everything clicked for me. Suddenly, the decision to focus on a singular POV made perfect sense, and I understood why Cassandra Moll chose to build the emotional weight toward that particular moment.

From that point on, the intensity of the emotions in Daring Destiny is almost overwhelming. There’s an undeniable depth to the way the characters wrestle with love, friendship, heartbreak, and the tough decisions that shape their futures. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with moments of love, laughter, and a profound sense of togetherness, but also exploring more painful themes like indecision and the struggles that come with facing past curses.

The friendship at the core of this book, and really the entire series, is beautifully developed. Watching these characters grow and evolve—not just in their romantic relationships but also as friends—has been such a rewarding experience. It’s clear that Cassandra Moll has a talent for weaving strong bonds between her characters, and it’s something that shines in Daring Destiny.

In the end, Daring Destiny is a beautiful continuation of the series, filled with complex emotions and real growth. The shift in narrative style may take some getting used to, but once it all comes together, the emotional payoff is well worth it. Fans of the series will be left with their hearts full, eagerly awaiting what happens next.

Daring Destiny by Cassandra Moll
🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

I was completely captivated by this book and gave it a full 5 stars because it was one of those stories I couldn’t put down. I ended up rearranging my day just to dive deeper into it—it pulled at my heartstrings, taking me through every peak and valley before piecing me back together. It was such an emotional journey, and I loved every second of it!

The dual timeline was a huge draw for me. It gave me a front-row seat to Chloe and Ronan’s love story through vivid flashbacks, and I felt every emotion with them—the frustration, the joy, and everything in between—as they explored their feelings for each other. I was glued to the pages, going through a mix of frustration, tears, and even laughter.

This is book 2 in the Maple Grove Series, and while it can stand alone, I definitely recommend reading the first book to really appreciate Ronan and Chloe’s backstory. Watching their friendship evolve into something more was so heartwarming. The shifts between their bachelor/bachelorette weekend and their past made the story feel even richer.

I loved how we got deeper insights into their relationship, which made me love them both even more. This book hit all the emotional notes, and if you’re a fan of romance that makes you feel everything, you need to read this series!

Daring Destiny took me on a crazy emotional rollercoaster! Chloe and Ronan’s chemistry was undeniable, and their journey through love was frustrating but utterly compelling. The flashbacks made their connection feel even stronger. My emotions were all over the place. I felt like I was living the ups and downs right along with Chloe and Ronan—sometimes smiling, sometimes angry, but always feeling.

Cassandra Moll’s writing is incredible, and I loved how she brought in characters from her first book. I laughed, I cried, I swooned—this is a must-read! I dare ya not to love it!

*ARC Reader Review*
Cassandra Moll does it again! Daring Destiny is book two in the Maple Grove series, and I absolutely fell in love with it from the very fist page. The story picks up where book one left off (though, both can be read as a stand-alone) and follows Chloe and Ronan's love story...and what a story it is! These characters are written so perfectly that it literally feels like I'm inside their heads and can perfectly understand why they feel the way they feel and make the moves they make.

Chloe was my favorite character in book one, Beautifully Broken, and it was wonderful to read her story. I love her sense of humor and the banter between her and her best friend Claire, as well as between her and the other characters. She has a refreshing energy that I just can't get enough of. And Ronan? Well, Ronan is now my #1 book boyfriend. He's sweet and funny and intense in a way that makes you wish that he was ACTUALLY your real life boyfriend. We all deserve a Ronan in our lives.

The book is a slow-burn romance with the perfect amount of tension, spice and "will they or won't they?" energy, and it made me root SO HARD for these characters. Some of the tropes in the book that make it so great are: second chance romance, forced proximity, fake dating, and one bed. Told from dual POVs and in a "then" and "now" timeline, Daring Destiny takes you on a sweet and swoony ride that you'll be thinking about long after you've read the last page.

Cassandra Moll has quickly become one of those authors whose books I will immediately buy and read without even knowing what they're about because she's JUST. THAT. GOOD.
No notes, I highly, highly recommend this book, this series, and this author.

You guys!!!!
this was amazing my heart could not handle.
This was the most amazing second chance story i have ever listened to!
And the narrator She did an absolute outstanding job!
It is entirely from Chloe her POV so we had one narrator. But let me tell you she was amazing. How she changed her voice for the different characters and how that fit.
Everytime Ronan was speaking I didn’t even realise she was speaking because thats how good she was!
It really felt like all different characters brought to life in my ears.

Now the story itself the emotions brought over by the author I felt every single one of them.
Not only Chloe her heartbreak anxiety and unsureness.
But also the longing the tension the love thats still there.

And how heartbroken Ronan was.
Who is the absolute standard of a man!
Like can i pretty please have HIM come at my doorstep? And the man can COOK?!
I glady eat Italian for the rest of my life.

Back to the story.
I loved how you could see the character development and growth.
And be a part from their journey to find each other again.

Cassandra Mole is one of those authors you just know that after one book she will be an auto buy author who deserves all the love and hype!
By the end of this book I was so emotionally invested I was crying happy tears!

Thankyou so much to the author for providing me with a copy of the audiobook for an honest review. This in no eay affected my review for this book!

First of all, the MMC💀😩 oh gosh, I didn’t like him at all. Like, “oh go do whatever you want, I’ll just be here waiting until you see me and realize I’m the one for you.” Please. He proposes to her, knowing full well she has issues with marriage in general, and the second she doesn’t immediately say yes he just shuts down, leaves, and that’s it- they break up. He doesn’t even want to listen to her. Meanwhile, she would’ve actually talked about it if he gave her the chance.
And by end of the bachelor/bachelorette weekend, suddenly we find out he’s about to leave the town. This man literally does nothing to maintain the relationship.
The FMC was similarly exhausting🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️🕳️

And then…the writing. Honestly, it just wasn’t for me. Half the book was in the past. Every single chapter switched between “now” and “then,” back and forth, back and forth. And the past chapters didn’t even do anything for the plot. Like, it wasn’t just a handful of flashbacks to help us understand the characters better- it was half the book. And from the very beginning we already knew why they broke up, so what was even the point of dragging it out like that? Even in the present timeline, there were still more flashbacks or just the MC spiraling in her own head. So honestly, not much was happening at all. And the present chapters were equally boring.

I ended up skimming most of the past chapters, and by the time I got near the end I was skimming the whole book. At this point I could’ve dnfd it but I genuinely did want to know how they would resolve this- this is the only reason for 1,5✨.
The end doesn’t add up if you think more than two seconds about it. This man was packing his stuff and LEAVING, but all of a sudden he says that he understood for a moment now why she didn’t accept the proposal, they kiss, and happy end. What???

The epilogue? Didn’t even bother. I just couldn’t anymore. I already got half the book full with cute scenes and moments- the past chapters literally felt like an extended epilogue.

But I’m still counting this as read because honestly? I deserve it.

💔🔥 Fake it till you (don’t) make it? Sounds easy… until you’re stuck sharing a bed with your ex. 😏💋

Once upon a time, they were almost something… then they were everything… and now? Well, now they’re nothing—except for two people trapped in a weekend getaway, pretending they’re still madly in love. 🫠💃🕺

She’s all sass and chaos. He’s cool, calm, and totally not collected. Together, they’re putting on the performance of a lifetime. 🎭💞 The flirting? Fake (or is it? 👀). The lingering looks? Totally for show (sure, Jan 🙃). The accidental touches? Oops. 😏🔥

But here’s the thing about pretending—sometimes, those old feelings refuse to stay buried. And when secrets start bubbling to the surface? Let’s just say, this weekend might not go as planned. 😈💘

✨ Tropes to Devour: ✨
💔 Second Chance Romance – Because breaking up was easy… pretending they didn’t still want each other? Not so much.
🔥 Forced Proximity – One bed. One weekend. One very questionable idea.
🎭 Fake Relationship – Smiles for the cameras, but behind closed doors? Oof.
👀 Angst + Tension – Every glance? A loaded gun. Every touch? A spark ready to explode.

This book is spicy, messy, and full of tension so thick you’ll need a chainsaw to cut through it. 🖤💋 If you love drama, banter, and enough longing to make you scream into a pillow—grab this one NOW. 🫠🔥

Okay, can we talk about how AWKWARD but amazing this setup is? Chloe and Ronan broke up three weeks ago but have to pretend they're still together for their friends' wedding weekend. Sharing a bed. Acting all lovey-dovey. While secretly dying inside. Chef's kiss for the angst!
What I loved most about Daring Destiny was how Cassandra Moll structured it differently from the first Maple Grove book. Instead of dual POV, we get chapters bouncing between past and present, slowly revealing what actually broke them up. It's like putting together a puzzle and I was HOOKED trying to figure out their secret.
The fake relationship while actually broken up thing had me stress-reading through my fingers. The tension! The chemistry! These two are obviously meant for each other but watching them pretend everything's fine while falling apart was beautifully painful.
Chloe is hilarious and bold but has real depth, and Ronan's quiet exterior hides so much emotion. Their reason for breaking up actually felt realistic and important, not just some silly miscommunication drama.
But honestly? This hit all my second chance romance buttons. Perfect for a weekend binge read, especially if you love forced proximity and characters who are terrible at hiding their feelings.
Can totally be read standalone if you missed the first book!

"You want to know about all of that?"
"I want to know all of you, Ro. And then some."

4⭐️

Daring Destiny broke me a little bit, I think. I was rooting for RoChlo the whole time! Their love is everything. I recognized it from the start. From Chloe's thoughts about Ro, to Ro’s actions, to the words exchanged between them, I was convinced they were made for each other from the start. There is something about their love that is all encompassing. I don't know how to describe it.

This book gave Happy Place vibes, where two exes must pretend they are still together one last time. I think it's something about this trope; the forced proximity and the journey of recognizing that maybe they should give each other a second chance drew me in. And the author's beautiful writing!

The only critique (more of a personal experience) for this book was that I found the two POVs (one from when they started their relationship and one present day) a little frustrating at times. I recognize how they connect and how their backstory is essential to make us invested in the characters, but I just wanted to know what happened present day! (This might be just me being impatient haha).

You should give this book a read! I'm daring you to🌄

Thank you so much Cassandra Moll for an eARC of her upcoming release!

The five star read Daring Destiny Cassandra Moll story tugs at the heartstrings. Ronan and Chloe’s story is complex. The growth occurs with both Ronan (Ro) and Chloe throughout the novel but the most growth comes from Chloe for reasons you must read to find out. The duel pov and duel timeline perfectly fits the complexity of Ro and Chloe’s romance. Drama is a major part of what causes the main MMC and FMC to grow separately as individuals and together as a pairing. This romantic Romcom is unique in the fact that Ronan and Chloe aren’t simply a happy couple without problems to work through. Cassandra Moll interweaves finding one’s way back to their best friends/soulmate and finding oneself in an exceptional story. The writing of the story is both heart wrenching and heartwarming all at the same time. I highly recommended Cassandra Moll’s Daring Destiny and for readers interested in how Jay and Claire fit in read Beautifully Broken, which just happens also to provide further back story for Chloe and Ronan’s romance. One of my early favorites of 2025 Daring Destiny releases March 1st,2025.

ummmmm. Hello???

This book had me so up and down, talk about a roller-coaster of emotions! There were times I literally forgot I was reading it and thought I was watching a movie. The tropes were troping in this book:

Friends to Lovers
One bed
Forced Prox
Fake Dating
Enemies to Lovers

Yes please and thank you. This book is literally everything you could want in one book.

Chloe and Rowan were straight giving me whiplash, but it was so nice to see Chloes insecure side come out, immediately followed by her sass. And I do not blame her one bit for falling for Ro because same girl. Same. Ro is like, the perfect man??

But Cassandra.. that ending... I'm so upset. Not because it wasn't good, because it was perfect. But I wanted.. No.. NEED more. I need so much more of their story. As Claire said drunkenly a hundred times over:

"ROCHLO FOREVER!!!!"

Both this and Beautifully Broken are my first 5 star reads of this year and I recommend them to everyone I talk too.

Okay, easily a 5 star romance! My heartstrings were constantly pulled - I giggled, I cried, I was awestruck - I felt it ALL. Author Cassandra Moll definitely threw me onto a rollercoaster of emotion! I mean dual timeframe - fake dating - forced prox - one bed - friends to lovers and some spice! ugh and the characters! Chloe and Ronan..the tensiiiooooon between those two! The tension alone had me on the edge of my seat. There was emotional turns and surprises - love and heartbreak - the writing in this book is so. good! I truly felt like Chloe was sitting in front of me telling me the story herself. Every emotion she felt - I felt it too. And Ronan, ugh I fell in love with him. This book is the end of the Maple Grove series and I think I’m gonna need some time to mourn that. And with that being said - I already know I’m going to be rereading this series again 🩷 #ROCLO

I wax so excited when this book ended up being about Chloe and Ro who are introduced in book 1 of this series. Chloe is my absolute favorite character and I completely adore her!
The whole time while reading this one I was screaming at my phone and wanting to cry. Sometimes I wanted to reach into the world and shake both Chloe and Ro to knock some sense into them.
But I loved every second of their story!

The story flows naturally even with mild jumps in time. The romance was romancing and the narrator was perfect! I love that she included so much life into the character with giggles and feelings that had my heart aching and soaring throughout.

PS: I did this as an immersive reading. Listening to the audiobook and reading along with the KU edition of the ebook. If you’ve never tried it I highly recommend!

Such a great debut series! I’ve had the honor of receiving an advanced reader’s copy. I do recommend reading the first book before starting this story.

I am so glad I get more of Jay and Claire in this book. Chloe and Ronan go away with Jay and Claire for the weekend. Little do Jay and Claire know is that Chloe and Ronan are no longer together. The two are pretending they are still together for the sake of their friends…Oh, and they have to share a room… With one bed! I absolutely love this book and found the time to simply devour it. And pizza!! Oh boy can’t forget about the pizza😂! Cassandra Moll has such a great writing style and I love that her characters are so relatable. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more of her work. Don’t hesitate to start this series!!

This book had me laughing, crying, yelling. Holy! It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I'm an hour post reading it and I can't stop thinking about the turn of events that happened throughout the book.
The Photo Booth🥵
The shock and awe of Jay and Claire's events (so freaking happy for them even though I didn't read their story
so sorry Cass, I promise I will)
When a song by Ed Sheeran was mentioned the first time in the apartment I knew it was my wedding song before even looking at the playlist and I might have teared up alittle
There were many times I want to grab Chloe by the shoulders and shake some sense into her and tell her she's insane. And Ronan, that man is something rare.
I loved it!

This is book two in the Maple Grove Series! While you don’t need to read book one it would be a good start to get insight since this is where we’re introduced to them and get a glimpse of these two. Chloe and Ronan I loved them sooo. They had such a great friendship before they become a couple their connection was just so sweet to read. The story goes between the bachelor / bachelorette weekend and some past events. You get to see how they started and what was happening throughout their relationship. This had all the feels you guys!! It was so relatable with their feelings. Again there are glimpses in book one but we got so much more in this one! Definitely a favorite for me and highly recommend reading this series

✨ARC REVIEW✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

This book was a wonderful and emotional ride with a beautifully written story, fleshed out characters and every trope you could possibly ask for!

Chloe is our sassy yet lovable FMC who is going to be maid of honor at her bestfriend’s wedding. Only hiccup is, she’s fresh off of a breakup with none other than the best man, Ronan! So things get interesting when the bride and groom to be decide that they want their best man and maid of honor to join them for a joint bachelor/bachelorette weekend getaway! 🤭

As you can imagine, Chloe and Ronan have no intention on ruining their best friends’ special day so they of course decide to keep up the facade for the weekend. So what happens next you ask? You guessed it! Forced proximity, fake dating and a whole lot of heart will leave you feeling like you just survived the most beautiful rollercoaster ride. 🩷

Cassandra Moll has become an auto buy author for me after reading Daring Destiny and I will definitely be running to read Beautifully Broken next! I absolutely loved this read and can’t wait to see what this author does next!! Thank you so much to Cassandra for providing me with this gifted ARC 🫶🏻💕

I've officially read all of Cassandra's published work, and wow!

As someone who holds Jay from the first book in high regard, I was a bit worried I wouldn't connect with the new male protagonist as much.
However, this book was another hit from Cassandra!
I loved watching Chloe's character develop, and getting a glimpse into Jay and Claire's life was a fantastic bonus.
The heartwarming friendship and love between Chloe and Claire made me miss my own best friend a little extra. And even though Ron struggled to express his feelings, I really appreciate how he later owned up to his mistakes and worked to understand Chloe's fears, no matter how "crazy" they seemed.

The little moments these 4 passed together is just so relatable, and It genuinely made me happy while reading.

Just amazing , Ronan and Chloe two soulmates who break up because of a curse . Their best friends are couple so they end up becoming one and one week before their best friends wedding they share a joint bachelor/bachelorette trip and they must pretent that they are a couple . Two days on a cabin will make her realise that the Carlson curse is maybe not able to real for them . Ronan is one of best book boyfriends I have the pleasure to read , and I hope for more books with all the characters .
I received this book from the author and the publisher as an ARC . Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .

My heart is so full after reading this book!
I knew I would love Ronan and Chloe when I met them in Beautifully Broken. They’re so stupid cute together and pure perfection! I knew I was in for a ride when they had to try to get along in front of their friends.😆 They were forced to be in the same house, same room, SAME BED. The TENSION. Holy crap, you could slice that shit with a knife! You could feel their sexual attraction even though they were fighting it! The hot and cold between them gave me whiplash but I loved every damn second of it.
I screamed STOP BEING STUPID AND JUST LOVE EACH OTHER until they finally did.🤣
The Photo Booth is hands down one of my favorite parts! IYKYK🤭 I will always mention when a book has the hair washing microtrope in it! It’s my literal favorite thing ever and I swoon immediately.🫠

Chloe is a sassy little firecracker. I mean, she is a sasshole after all!😆 Her and I are the same when it comes to sicknesses. I’m just as miserable as she is.🤣 #worstsickpersonever I absolutely adored her! Ugh! I just love her so much! Her believing her family was cursed just made me so sad!😭

Ronan. MY MAN! The things that happened between him and Chloe and his childhood made me want to cry. Spoiler alert, I DID CRY!😭 I just wanted to hug him. The way he cares for the people close to him makes him top tier book boyfriend!

Of course getting to see Claire and Jay throughout the book made me so happy!🥰

When the Cassandra dares you to go completely feral in her DMs while reading… what do you do? YOU DELIVER🤭

I think you get the point, I’m obsessed!

Chloe and Ronan are off to spend the weekend celebrating their soon to be wed best friends at a cabin. The problem? Chloe and Ronan secretly broke up weeks ago and do not want to mess up the happy couple’s vibes. Can they keep the ruse going?

I enjoyed this book. I like that the author did not allow a lot of time to go before they reconnected at the cabin…like when some let 10 years go by before the couple sees each other again. The spice was good, but would have liked more with the amount of chemistry these two have plus their sexual tension at points in the story. Overall, solid second chance romance.

Cassandra Moll does it again! 👏👏

Again, the yearning was insanely good! I wanted to take Ronan and Chloe and bash their heads together! 🤣

Ronan (MMC) – cool, collected, loyal, a complete 10/10!
Chloe (FMC) – Sassy diva, hilarious, I love her and want her to be my best friend!

Seeing Jay and Claire again after book 1 was such a delight too! Plus this book had my all time FAVE trope, one bed!

I loved the journey that we went on with Ronan and Chloe, I laughed, cried and audibly aww-ed on more than one occasion whilst reading. I was in their corner the entire time, cheering them on and I loved every second!

Cannot wait to read more from Cassandra!

This book is about Chloe & Ronan. This is the first book I’ve read from Cassandra & I was not dissapointed! I am a sucker for friends to lovers and a second chance romance 🤭 Them being forced to pretend like they’re still together for the sake of their besties, I LOVEEE.

If you enjoy the following tropes, this story is for you:

★ friends to lovers
★ fake dating
★ second chance
★ one bed
★ forced proximity
★ dual POV

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion. Thank you @author_cassandramoll!!

After reading the first book, I knew I’d enjoy the second. Once again, as someone who isn’t usually a contemporary romance reader, I found myself on tenterhooks and giggling uncontrollably all at the same time.
The new main characters have clear, distinct voices from the characters from the first, and the new format which bounces between past and present was excellent. There was more tension, and higher stakes in this book, but not so much that it isn’t a cozy read. This is the perfect book to treat a hangover from an epic romance series 🥰
