Autumn Wishes & Fireside Kisses is the latest release in the Little Duck Pond Café series, it could be read as a standalone, and it's absolutely a good read.

Sylvia and Mick have chosen an historic gothic mansion for their Hallowen wedding, they are excited for the spooky atmosphere, but a mischievous ghost risks of ruining their joyful day. Cora is Sylvia's friend and a famous florist who accepts to do the flower for the party, but when she sees her first love at the same event, all the memories come back and yet again she doesn't know what to do: leave him again or fight for him.

Rosie Green delivered a story full of emotions, and some mysterious and inexplicable events that set a perfect Halloween mood. I read it at the right time of the year and the experience was even more enjoyable.

I liked the characters, old and new. My favourite is Cora, she is a workaholic, nice, kind, and lonely woman. I saw so much of myself in her, I rooted for her, because she deserved to be happy, now that she finally sorted out her priorities.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Aw, I do love this series and this time we get to see more of Sylvia and Mick...in a way... It's their WEDDING DAY!!

But like all good things with this series, we see a new character, Celia, and I loved her. The fear she has for putting herself out there, she feels too old and too scared, but I found her so endearing! She deserves all the happiness.

I do adore this series, as Rosie brings real-life problems to the forefront, and we get front-row seats on how people deal with them, whilst bringing a realistic slant to it.

We also have a locked-room situation as everyone is locked in a manor and things are going on...but wait, was there a bit of the supernatural too? Ooh, I got giddy with that sprinkling.

Rosie never fails me with her beautiful stories, the growth we see in each character, and how I feel like they are all family. There is always something going on with one of the characters, and if they are quiet, we have plenty of new people in the village to meet!

42....I hope we see 102!!

t's Book FORTY-TWO time!

You have no idea how much I adore this little series. My heart does a little happy dance when I hear there's a new installment on the way. It's like Eastenders but a whole lot sweeter.

A haunted manor in an isolated location easily made this one of my series favourites...I love Halloween and I'm a sucker for anything spooky!

My love for the Little Duck Pond Café community has never waned. I'm always excited with each new book to see who we're going to catch up with again.

It's a great little read that's not without a touch of romance to warm the heart... A Halloween wedding to be precise!

My Opinion

At less than 200 pages, Autumn Wishes and Firesides Kisses was easy to read in one sitting. Whilst it is part of the Little Duck Pond Series, I feel that it could be read as a standalone and it is never too late to start this delightful series. A beautiful story with some great characters.

Rosie never fails to sweep me away in her gorgeous romantic novellas.

Another wonderful story, and it’s nice to read about romance in the older generations.

Clara is a famous and very successful florist with her own TV programme, resigned to her single life. Or is she? When her one true love, Mark, unexpectedly appears back in her life she realises she never really got over him. But is he really over his ex wife?

Mick and Sylvia are planning their Halloween themed wedding in an old gothic Manor House, and there may even be a ghost!

The perfect Halloween romance read with a touch of the supernatural and plenty of secrets, and I honestly don’t know how Rosie fits so much story and depth of characters into her novellas, but she does. I adore every one I have read and hope they keep coming.

Sylvia and Mick's Autumn wedding in a Gothic mansion at Halloween has mysterious occurrences and celebrity-style flowers. The florist has her own poignant story. It's an evocative tale with lovely storytelling and a seasonal mystery. I like the characters and the believable emotion, which makes this a great addition to the Little Duck Pond Cafe series.

I genuinely have loved each book that I have read in this beautiful series and I cannot wait to go back and devour all the ones that I have missed. I just could not put this absolutely gorgeous book down as each and every time I was meant to be doing something other than reading something happened where I just had to read the famous "one more chapter", which as we all know when it comes to a book this good it just does not exist. Therefore, several hours after I had picked it up I had completely devoured the whole book in one sitting. These books are the absolutely brilliant and rare type that it really does not matter if you are curled up under a blanket next to a fire with a hot chocolate or sprawled on a beach catching the sun as Rosie's stunning evocative descriptions will pick you up and whisk you off to Sunnybrook at the turn of a page where, in this case, you will wonder what is really going on at Riverbend Hall, get caught up in the spookiness of the gothic hall and wedding events, taste the gorgeous cakes and feel the love in the air!! This book is extremely well written with vivid descriptions and Rosie's gorgeous and evocative writing skills setting the picture perfectly in the readers mind. The title, description and cover works perfectly with the storyline. It is an absolutely ideal read for anyone who is looking for an escape from reality that will have you hooked from beginning to end. I absolutely LOVED the realism of this storyline which made it so easy to picture everything that was going on which had been helped by Rosie's fantastic evocative writing skills. I cannot wait to get hooked into more of Rosie's books! This is definitely one of those books that will turn a frown upside down and make life seem a lot brighter. The characters were all an eclectic mix and each one of them were realistic and strong. I was completely invested in them all. It also makes them more realistic, believable and made me feel even more for them than I normally would. Rosie's fantastic and evocative writing skills makes you feel the same as the characters were. I love meeting the same faces along with new ones each and every time I pick up a book in this gorgeous series and finding out new things about the characters!! Each of the characters are memorable and unique in their own ways and they are a group of people that I wont be forgetting any time soon and cannot wait to meet time and time again!! I absolutely loved meeting many of the amazing characters from Sunnybrook again who have very quickly become to feel like friends that I enjoy meeting again and again and miss every time I come to the end of the book. The majority of them are absolutely amazing characters, each with their own strong and unique personalities, all well developed and the majority I absolutely love!! Well this was suitably spooky and creepy for a book that's featuring a Halloween Wedding, in a gothic house that may just be haunted.

It is so lovely to see that this is about the long awaited wedding of Sylvia, who has been ever present in this series since the first few books. Although never a main character, she is involved and interlocked in so many of the regular characters lives, that it's rare to not have her present somewhere in each book.

But believe it or not she wasn't either of the two main view points in this book, we are instead treated to Fen, who regular readers of the series definitely have met before, and Celia who is brand new to us, and a good friend of Sylvia's.

And it was Celia's story that enchanted me the most, as it just so happens the love of her life, is the wedding photographer, and she had no idea, given they had barely spoken in very many years. Celia is also a celebrity florist and sounds like she has amazing skills with flowers.

And it's always good to catch up with Fen. There are a few mini mysteries to be solved in this, one which would have had life threatening consequences. and there is even a rather remarkable discovery too.

Add in, some deliciously gruesome sounding food, a fabulous setting, and this is a wedding that no one will forget for a long while.

This is yet another fabulous addition to this series, which I devoured so fast I was amazed that I had reached the end already. Which is always a sign that I was invested in the story and really enjoying it. As always I'm in awe at how far we are into this series, while being able to see many more available for pre-order already, all of which I'm looking forward to greatly.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Another wonderful installment of this wonderful series that keeps making my heart happy! And this time there's romance with spooky goings on to keep you thoroughly entertained! And you don't have to have had read any of the others in the series as it's easily read as a standalone!

We have a wedding to look forward to in this story, as the big day for Mick and Sylvia approaches, at an old manor house so there's lots of wedding planning and chatter going on - and then disaster strikes so there's a race to see if there'll be a happy ending for the couple as it seems like someone is doing all they can to stop things going ahead, along with their own little concerns about the relationship.

And then there's the storyline of Cora, who is rather well known in the celeb world for her wonderful floral displays for weddings. Her career took over early in her life, so there was never time for love and children, and she's looking back wondering what ifs' especially when she reconnects with an old flame.

Once again you see the human traits of misjudging things you've seen, wondering what life could have been like with different decisions you could have taken and seeing how being older maybe makes you look at things a little differently. There's also a nice little historical mystery to look into and I loved discovering the old stories hidden.

This was a story with a little bit of everything in it, from romance to drama, and I loved every minute of it!! Bring on book #43!!

Autumn Wishes & Fireside Kisses is the 42nd book in the Little Duck Pond Cafe series. Each story in this series is fresh and interesting, keeping the reader engaged from the start. This next installment in the series is no different.

Sylvia and Mick are headed down the aisle, except Mick doesn't seem at all excited about his upcoming nuptials. After ferreting out the problem, a couple of family members take matters into their own hands. Now, Mick not only gets to marry the woman he loves, but with a ceremony and celebration that excites him, too. A Halloween wedding complete with a haunted house has everyone excited...even the ghosts.

Sylvia and Mick aren't the only stars of this story. One of Sylvia's friends, Celia, is a famous florist. She's handling the flowers for the wedding. As she meets the group, Celia finds that she fits right in and enjoys her time in Sunnybrook. When the first and only love of her life keeps showing up, though, making things a bit awkward.

Autumn Wishes & Fireside Kisses is a fantastic novel. The mystery within the haunted manor was cleverly crafted, disguised, and revealed. I enjoyed being back in Sunnybrook, hanging out with old friends, and meeting new ones. I enjoyed the writing style, pacing, and vivid imagery. The characters are written with depth, emotion, and realism.

Autumn Wishes and Fireside Kisses by Rosie Green is a cute book in which Mick & Sylvia are getting married. They are regulars at the local Sunnybrook Cafe called Little Duck Pond Café. Their original plan was to do it at the Swan Hotel, but at the last minute Sylvia changed her mind. To have a Hallowe’en/Halloween wedding, & she wanted it held at the Riverbend Hall, which was an old rundown gothic mansion, as it had plenty of space to accommodate her guests & fit the aesthetic for a last-minute Hallowe’en/ Halloween wedding. Duck Pond Cafe owner & her friends were in charge of all the details, from the flowers to making the cake & other pastries for it. That must have been so much to come up with creepy, cute Halloween desserts. Omg, and the beautiful flower arrangements. While touring the Riverbend Hall, Celia ran into her ex-boyfriend, Mark. Now, Mark was a heartbreaker & years later may still be. Is he worth her time & energy? I really liked this book; my favorite time of year, dream wedding. Yes, I will be checking out the rest of the books by this author. What other shenanigans does Riverbend Hall have in store for Mick & Sylvia’s Hallowe’en/Halloween wedding? You need to read to find out.*I received this as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.

There is just something about reading books set in autumn that really appeals. Whether it’s due to the change of weather and they are the perfect book to snuggle up with or it could be it’s my favourite time of the year, either way this was a great book to escape into.

I do love a wedding and the upcoming one for Sylvia and Mike is taking place at an old manor house which is supposed to be haunted. Perfect for a Halloween wedding! I’ve not really been into Halloween since I was a child but it gives an air of spookiness to the story as some strange things happen when all the guests are there. We meet Cora who is a bit of a celebrity which due to this she feels as if she is on guard at all times. She has never forgotten her first true love who just happens to also be in the area in the run up to the wedding and it leaves her feeling very confused.

Autumn Wishes and Fireside Kisses is the perfect read for this time of year. Whilst there is romance, there is an air of mystery and suspense with a shocking revelation. I was highly engrossed and went through a mix of emotions whilst reading. It’s one you will probably want to read with the lights on! A fabulous seasonal read!

This seasonal story puts a different twist on a wedding with a wedding between two of Sunnybrook's older residents who decide on a gothic, spooky theme. Different generations come together to celebrate but when some ghostly happenings occur, it is obvious that all is not going as smoothly as it could. The Autumnal season is a fitting backdrop for the bride and groom who have lived full lives but found each other in later life.

Alongside the wedding couple, we are introduced to Celia who has buried all her ambitions in her television career as a celebrity florist. As the story develops, you realise that Celia is still nursing a broken heart from her youth. When she meets up again with someone from her past, she finds herself reassessing all her priorities. There is humour, mystery and romance in this tale and a chance to catch up again with familiar faces from the Little Duck Pond Cafe.

In short: Hallowe'en high jinks and romantic nights

Little Duck Pond Café has another book out and I just can't get enough of this series. Every book I read in this series has some of the original characters, but we always get to meet new friends as well. Each book is a blast and the stories so fun and charming.
This one involves a Halloween wedding; I love this idea. Plans are coming along swimmingly, and the wedding is set to take place at a reputedly haunted manor house.
A spooky and stormy night leaves the wedding party stranded at the eerie manor overnight. When strange things start going bump in the night and secrets come to light will the wedding even happen? The Halloween wedding planning from the decorations to the spooky manor to the cake theme sounded like such fun. The extra mystery had me intrigued and kept me reading. Once again, I'm on the lookout for the next book in the series.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

This is actually book number forty two in a forty six book series called Little Duck Pond Café, each book can be read as a stand alone but they all have recurring characters and interconnected stories too. And of course, they are always much better when enjoyed as part of the whole series!

I absolutely loved this Autumnal story, with its spooky themed wedding and Halloween vibes and the little twists too. It is a story about friendship and is heartwarming, romantic, funny and mysterious and i loved it all…….

This is book forty two in the Little Duck Pond Café series. I love this series and always look forward to the next book.

This time the book is centred around Sylvia and Mick’s wedding and Halloween. The setting of the haunted manor in the isolated location was great it added an eerie atmosphere.

We also got to meet a new character, Celia. I enjoyed her story and was rooting for her to find her happiness.

This was such a fun and quick read. I also loved reading about all the Halloween themed foods too! I wanted to try them. 😂

Rosie Green strikes again with another fab Little Duck Pond Café book. I love how she incorporated a mystery element the book with some twists and turns. A bit of a locked room whodunnit it without the full blown murder!

I found the characters of Sylvia and Mick to be adorable and loved their spooky Halloween wedding.

A great read which is always guaranteed with Rosie Green.

Sylvia and Mick are finally getting married in this next installment of the little duck pond cafe series. They’re planning a Halloween wedding at a supposedly haunted old mansion.
This was a quick story. Full of surprises and a bit of a mystery. There’s some second chance romance too.
It’s a nice story.

I always welcome a trip back to the Little Duck Pond cafe community and Autumn Wishes and Fireside Kisses is another great addition to the series. Fun and topical this is an entertaining novella from Rosie Green.
Mick and Sylvia are lovely characters and the little mystery was a fun addition to the romance of their wedding. Throw in Celia’s dilemma and you’ve a great story to entertain.

I was intrigued by the premise of a Hallowe’en wedding, and excited to discover how it would pan out. Of course, with Rosie guiding the narrative, I knew to expect more than a few surprises and a lovely, happy ending.

Finding a fabulous venue at short notice seemed like the intervention of fate, and plans soon turned to fun and chance. With spooky goings on, it was clear that some intervention from another side was likely to be involved, or an accomplished prankster.

The story kept me transfixed as the plot thickened, and kept me guessing. Besides the battle for the big day, another much-loved character rediscovered a potential match, but wisely, didn’t dive straight in. It’s always lovely to witness that first frisson of attraction, especially when it has a second-chance element, and Rosie didn’t let me down.

The warmth in this book is tangible, and I simply loved everything about it. The relationships between the regular characters are a delight, but you don’t need to have read the rest of the series to understand the story.

A perfect book for Autumn with more than a few surprises.

The main character we follow is Celia but we do have some chapters from a couple of different other characters to. I really enjoyed following Celia and learning about her and her previous romantic history, since the story focuses mostly on her. I personally don’t think we needed the chapters from some of the other characters but it did break the book up nicely towards the start.

Although this is a short romance story, I enjoyed that it doesn’t focus solely on the romance. There is also a mystery element to the story with an interesting revelation towards the end. Because the book is set in autumn and features a Halloween wedding, the mystery element feels like a perfect choice. The wedding venue created wonderfully spooky, autumnal vibes.

The pacing of the book is good considering it is a shorter story. There was lots going on throughout to help keep moving the plot along. I was very happy with how the story ended and although it was very predictable, it was a cute way to end this cosy romance read and I was happy for the main character!

I didn’t realise this book was quite far into an on-going series but I liked that I could go into this story without having to have read the other books previously. The author did a great job of mentioning who the characters were so if you are someone like me who hasn’t read the other books, you still get an understanding of who everyone is.

I think this book is great to read for this time of year. The author did a wonderful job of giving off the ambience I wanted when I decided to read this book in the first place. Whilst there is romance, there is an air of mystery and suspense too!

What a great addition to the Little Duck Pond series. It’s coming up to Sylvia and Mick’s wedding and everyone is getting into the spirt of things. When the wedding is set to take place at Halloween and venue is the atmospheric Riverbend Hall no one imagines that there will be mysterious ghostly goings on. When the weather cuts the wedding party off that’s exactly what starts to happen……. I absolutely love this series, the characters, the interactions and how they all come together to support each other. There is always a serious issue threaded through them as well and this time it is mainly about diabetes. Romance, friendship, family and second chances, as well as yummy cakes, makes this a delightful read.
