Natural Talent is an early work from a promising author. While many of the elements that make her stories exceptional, like sympathetic characters, creative, vivid descriptions, and complex plots, are already in place, I found this work to be less enjoyable than some of her later stories. I think this was largely because she was still in the process of mastering a large cast of characters and many plot threads when she wrote Natural Talent. With so much going on, I found myself struggling to keep up.
Still, the story of Aaron, a teenage actor, and his friends, was fast-paced and creative.
I’d recommend this book to readers who enjoy fresh, unpolished stories from independent authors, and mysteries involving relationships and family secrets.
