In the aftermath of the Second Wizarding War, the wizarding world is struggling to rebuild, and so are its survivors. Hermione Granger has dedicated herself to healing the wounds left behind, leading groundbreaking research to undo the damage wrought by dark magic. But when a shadowy new threat emerges, she finds herself reluctantly paired with the last person she ever expected to trust—Draco Malfoy.
Now an Auror, Malfoy is determined to atone for his past, his icy composure masking years of guilt and regret. Tasked with protecting Hermione as she uncovers a dangerous conspiracy threatening everything they fought to protect, Draco must navigate a treacherous path between duty and redemption.
As secrets unravel and the stakes climb higher, Hermione and Draco are forced to confront not only their shared history but the unspoken connection growing between them. Caught in a web of intrigue, betrayal, and forbidden alliances, they must decide where their loyalties lie—and how far they’re willing to go to save a world still teetering on the edge of collapse.
okay so i’m not sure how many stars to give it yet so i’ll give it 3 for now. this was fun, initially a bit of a knock off of dmatmoobil so i wasn’t too pleased but then it stirred off into its own plot which was great. i loved the humour AND THE POTTER BOYS OH EM GEE i don’t normally like kids in fics but they were phenomenal. minus for the slight ooc plot points and the dragging of some scenes but i did enjoy myself
I love that there are no fake pretenses of how Draco treated Hermione in school. His change makes sense. He didn’t want to be the way he was but that was all he knew at the time.
The relationship and attraction between Hermione and Malfoy grows naturally and isn’t rushed. There was a gradual shift between them that had me falling with them.
This really was a good fanfic. I’m still on the fence on the take of Ron (I’ve never cared for him as a character regardless). The plot was a fun twist but it was easy to tell who your antagonist was early on. The banter is always fun with Draco, Ginny, and Harry with these.

We don’t rate fanfictions in this house because that is hella disrespectful to these authors that write for free in their free time. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
Healer Hermione and Bodyguard Draco packed with twists and action while touching on hard subjects
I DNF’ed this one. While it was obvious the author spent a great deal of time on the plot, it just wasn’t captivating to me and the romance felt forced.
