I’ve hated Cooper Bailey since high school. So why would a few years, a set of swoon-worthy forearms, and one shiny new law degree change anything?
Leah Bradford’s never been a fan of the spotlight—not years ago at her high school prom and definitely not now with the drama her ex-boyfriend is causing. Running her cinnamon roll shop is all she needs, thank you very much.
Cooper Bailey’s had it all—looks, brains, an ideal life. But one career-defining case gone wrong and that favored life is spiraling. He’s back home and determined to do better. He’ll be a helpful son, a dependable brother, and the best uncle ever, all while clawing his way back to a respectful place in his career.
Enter Leah. She’d rather run a marathon in high heels than be in the same room as Cooper Bailey. One problem–she’s broke with an idiot ex who happens to be suing her. Cooper is willing to take payment in sweet rolls–that is if he can convince her to take a chance on him.
Is Cooper still that cocky jock from high school or will he be Leah’s cinnamon roll hero?
Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll is a laugh out loud, kissing only, enemies to lovers romcom. It’s perfect for anyone who ever had a cute high school nemesis or anyone who secretly wanted one.
Thank you again Net Galley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Let me start by saying this book was not good. I hate saying that because it’s mean but this was not good. Let me tell you why.
I could not stand Leah. She was rude. She was a brat. She was whiny. She didn’t have manners and didn’t say please and thank you. She was too judgmental of Cooper and his intentions. She was not nice to her employee and had barely any compassion. I’m sorry but if you’re rude to customer service workers, rude to people who WORK FOR YOU, and you can’t get over an honest mistake that happened 7 years ago, you need help and I don’t like you. I understand that what happened to her was very triggering and yeah it wasn’t right. But to go out of your way to be awful to someone who apologized to you and clearly had no ill intentions, you’re a brat. I’m not sorry. She made WAY too big of a deal out of something that wasn’t that bad. Well, what happened after was very horrible and NO ONE should ever be talked to like that, but it wasn’t Cooper’s fault. She had no right to blame anyone but her jerk of an ex boyfriend. She didn’t deserve Cooper AT ALL and yeah I knew they’d end up together but I was pissed that they did anyway. She had barely any redeemable qualities in her. I was turned off as soon as she was brushing off the waiter in the beginning.
Cooper deserved better than her. I didn’t understand how he could love her. And AFTER ONE MONTH? You got me fuc*ed up, seriously. He was very sweet, very kind, compassionate and an all around amazing guy. I usually never root for the man, but this time I did. He shouldn’t have been with her. She treated him awful for most of the book.
Their romance was cringy and written like that of a fifteen year old Wattpad writer. That’s not to say that some Wattpad writers aren’t good, and I respect the Wattpad game, but this wasn’t it. It was poorly written and while it wasn’t and isn’t the worst book I’ve ever read by any means, it was extremely lackluster and I was hoping for a LOT more. It was too slow in the beginning and then WAY too fast in the end. The story just didn’t have much depth and the only reason it got 2 stars instead of one is for the background characters, which we saw way too much of anyway. Like this is supposed to be about Leah and Cooper, not their families. That’s not what I signed up for. All in all, the romance sucked. It wasn’t interesting at all and they had ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO chemistry. He had more chemistry with fu***** Arnold.
I do not recommend if you’re looking for something not boring.
This was a sweet and fluffy romance book and the MMC is the best part of it. Unfortunately I strongly disliked the FMC. She was so mean to Cooper when they reconnected and I don't think her reasoning really justified it. She's in her late 20s, holding onto a grudge from high school 🫠. Cooper was so kind to her despite how rude she was in return and honestly, I don't think I would have stuck around if someone treated me that way. But he was a determined man on a mission 🫡. The title "Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll" is extremely accurate because Cooper Bailey was the sweetest man ever 🥹
Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the arc!
🧁 Release Date: February 11, 2025 🧁 . . . OH MY LANDS….y’all this book is PHENOMENAL!! I can’t even begin to count how many times I was dying with laughter, swooning over Cooper’s charm, and literally just having the best time reading 🤭 I started this book and literally could NOT put it down! If I haven’t convinced you yet to go read this book, then just keep reading 😆
After being set up on a blind date by her friend, Leah Bradford comes face to face with the second to last person (the first being PJ) on earth that she wants to see, her high school nemesis, Cooper Bailey. This lovely encounter leads to many, many, many more encounters over the course of the next few weeks 🤭 Cooper was not one to easily give up, so he showed up at Leah’s sweet shop, Sweet Swirls, daily to try to win her over. This only served to fan the flames of Leah’s fiery personality and ohhh did she ever set him in his place!
The boat wedding scene was literally SO GOOD! Everything that went down that fateful night had me dying with laughter 😂 Thankfully, that evening served to improve Cooper and Leah’s friendship and things started to look up for the two of them! I love that they were able to help each other with their respective problems; it was immensely satisfying to watch Cooper take down Leah’s idiot ex, who was attempting to sue her.
Cooper and Leah were ✨perfection✨ and no one can convince me otherwise! Their banter, their chemistry, their endless hilarity, were all so great! Jen Atkinson knows how to write some of the BEST characters; the FMCs, especially, are my absolute favorites!
The joy I felt at seeing Alice again was literally unmatched! Her little character is the BEST and I think she’s gonna need her own book in the future (hint hint 😉) Watching her relationship with her younger siblings was very comical to say the least 😂 I need to see more of little York and Lula too!
I have to mention the side characters in this book too because they were so great! First off we have Cricket and her fierce protectiveness over the sweet rolls feelings 😂 She made me crack up multiple times. Then there’s Arnold always looking for ways to get free rolls. I love how patient Cooper was with him as he had to almost daily buy him a roll. There at the end when Arnold finally returned the favor was so sweet!
I love the way the Bailey brothers take care of their mama 🥹 Literally, they’re the best sons! The whole Bailey family has won my heart over and I never want to leave them ❤️
Top Moments: 🌸 Betsy putting Cooper in his place 🌸 Duolingo flop 🌸 Arnold and his pecan rolls 🌸 Lonely sweet rolls (Cricket 😂) 🌸 “Muncle Poop” 🌸 The lovely list of names for PJ 🌸 THE RED DRESS 🔥 🌸 Diet Coke and a gusset 🌸 Baking the gender reveal cake 🌸 “My girl” 🌸 Alice helping w/ Cooper’s “plan” 🌸 Arnold getting Coop rolls 🌸 Surprise party
Side note: I literally jammed to girly pop songs the whole time I was reading and the vibes were fantastic! I highly recommend 😁 . . . Thank you, Jen, for allowing me to read this arc of your new book 🩷
Be still my beating heart. This book was EVERYTHING I hoped for and more!! Definitely worth the wait. I laughed so much and cheered so hard for Cooper to get the girl! And boy, did he have a job ahead of him.
The last person on earth Leah wants to see on her blind date is Cooper Bailey. And after she gives him her two cents, she doesn’t expect to ever see him again…till he keeps showing daily up at her cinnamon roll shop.
When Cooper goes on a double blind date, he had no idea it would be with the one girl who hates him, Leah Bradford. He unknowingly hurt her in high school and he has his work cut out for him to try and make amends and become Leah’s friend. But neither are prepared for the feelings that start rising to the surface… sweet, cinnamon roll feelings..
I could NOT put this book down! Cooper and Leah were perfection! I loved their chemistry from the beginning and their banter was just amazing. I couldn’t get enough!
There were so many scenes where I laughed so hard I was crying! They definitely found themselves in some hilarious, embarrassing situations *cough..the bathroom/boat scene* that just can’t be topped. I loved how Cooper slowly broke down Leah’s walls and their sweet friendship built to so much more. Ahh..it was the icing on the cinnamon roll…just so sweet!
And I can’t forget sweet Arnold, who just might be my new fav side character! He was the old man who stole my heart and the show! You can’t help but love him!
And grown-up Alice completed the book with her schemes! Oh, how I’ve missed her spunky self! My dream come true would be for her to get her own book one day! *hint, hint Jen!!*
What to love: 💗Diaper time with York 💗Arnold + Pecan rolls 💗“Muncle Poop” 💗The red dress 💗The bathroom scene 💗Baking lessons 💗Cricket 💗The whole Bailey clan 💗The Almost kiss 💗Valentine’s Babysitting 💗The first kiss!!! 💗“Cereal killer” 💗Alice, the schemer! 💗That Epilogue!
I’m going to miss the wonderful Bailey clan and all their shenanigans. They will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Jen, for creating these wholesome characters who feel like family to me.
This is book 4 in the Bailey Brothers series and can be read as a stand-alone, but just trust me…you will want to read them all!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is my first book by Jen Atkinson and she is now a must read author when I want a cute sweet clean romance. Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll is such a fun story. I loved the long standing enemies becoming more. I adored Cooper, what a great guy. And Leah is so sweet, I loved her connection to her family.
This is the first book I read in the Bailey Brothers series, and although I definitely want to read the others, this completely stands on its own. You do get a glimpse at the other brothers, and they all seem fantastic so I'm excited to get to know them even more in the prior books.
This one might just be my favorite Bailey. It made me laugh, and it made me cry so hard. And the way Cooper gave Miles&Delaney's story a perfect ending was so heart-warming.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is the series wrap up of the Bailey Brothers series for Jen Atkinson and I’m a bit sad about it! This family has worked their way into my heart and optimistically hopeful that Alice will get a story at some point.
Cooper is the youngest of this band of brothers and one sister but certainly knows how to make a lasting impression. Upon arriving to his blind double date, he realizes it’s not his tardiness that will be remembered, it will be how he knows his date… from an awkward moment in high school. The date doesn’t go according to plan, and he realizes he must make amends for the past! Over the course of the story, Cooper shows he is much more than the dumb teenager and that he’s a good guy/brother/uncle.
Leah would rather forget her high school horror moment and never have to think on it again, but instead she has let it fester over the past 8 years. Now she is a budding entrepreneur with her cinnamon roll exclusive bakery called Sweet Swirls. She’s living out her dream and her outlook for the future is positive until her past comes out of nowhere. With the persistent urging of a good friend Leah paves her road with pecan rolls and good intentions! When Cooper quickly becomes her most loyal of customers and a faithful connection as well.
I love how you see the family throughout this story and that Alice is still up to mischief… but now she’s an even bigger sister now! Here’s hoping you all love Leah and Muncle Poop’s story as much as I did! Job well done Jen!
Absolutely delightful! This was such a sweet and adorable story, and a lovely way to wrap up the series!
I love the Bailey family and feel an attachment to them, like the kind where you wish they were real. The way they love and support each other is wonderful. Alice is back again and adds so much humor and heart to the story!
I loved Cooper. He really is a cinnamon roll and such a great friend, son, brother, and uncle. He and Leah are so perfect together. I loved her fiery personality and her growth.
If you enjoy fun, sweet, and swoony love stories, check this one out!
This book is sweeter than a cinnamon roll! :) Loved it so much!
Cooper Bailey seems to have it all. Good looks, a great job, and a winning personality, but he is currently hiding a workplace secret from those he is closest to. When he heads to a blind date, the last person he expects to see sitting across from him is Leah. Leah is not impressed at all. She remembers Cooper from high school and considers him the person who ruined her life.
I jumped into this story so easily! The Bailey’s have to be one of the best fictional families out there, and I always look forward to my time with them! All the family interactions had me smiling big! I just love how they love each other. They are so supportive of each other and they celebrate their joys and help each other through the heartaches. This family is just so real you can't help but want to be a part of them.
If you have been reading the series then you know Cooper is the youngest Bailey brother. I love a cinnamon roll MMC and was so excited to get his story. He certainly lived up to the name and was super sweet and swoony with Leah, and Leah was great as the sassy business owner. The two of them had some wonderful banter and chemistry. This book is full of fun moments that made me laugh. The dress situation will live rent free in my mind for a long time and was the turning point that helped Cooper and Leah become friends. I also couldn’t stop laughing when Cooper met Leah's parents, now they were a hoot! I really enjoyed the heartwarming scenes between Cooper and his sister in law, Delaney and Cooper with his brother Miles as well. I also need to mention that once again Alice stole the show! You can’t help but love that girl especially when she is playing matchmaker for her Uncle Coop! This is a wonderful story that reads like a Hallmark movie. If you love a sweet rom-com with an even sweeter MMC you must read this one!

“Read the room, Cooper Bailey–you aren’t seventeen anymore, and the girl isn’t happy.”
There’s nothing I love more than a book full of quotable quotes and a Bailey brother.
They say you are what you eat–right? And Cooper Bailey sure eats a lot of cinnamon rolls to make amends with Leah. So…😏 I love a good play on words and not only that, but he is a big, gooey softy and Leah is the spicy cinnamon to his sugary sweetness.
The Bailey brothers are everything I love in a family, book characters, and humans. They are human, right?? 😉 But seriously, the way Jen Atkinson has crafted this series is amazing and the characters are so life-like.
Cooper and Leah had an incident in high school that left her with a massive grudge and hatred for a man that she later comes to realize is none of the things she once believed. He is such a likable, helpful, funny, and kind man, yet not perfect by any means. I loved watching them interact, especially with Leah’s fiery personality, and this book is absolutely hilarious on many levels.
The chemistry and swoon is abundant as the sugar floating through the air and I loved everything about this one.
Content: mild romance

I have been hearing positive things about Jen Atkinson’s Another Bailey Brother Series for quite some time. So when the opportunity arose to be on her ARC team for Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll, I jumped at it!
Starting a series with the most current book usually poses a problem for the reader. Thankfully, Atkinson wrote hers so that each book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. She did a great job filling in essential background information about the Bailey family and those closest to them, without spoiling the previous stories.
After reading this book I have come to the conclusion that Cooper Bailey is one of the most emotionally intelligent MMC I have ever read. Not only did he own his previous mistakes, he was sensitive to those around him. The scenes with his brother and sister-in-law in particular melted my heart and solidified me as a die hard Cooper fan. Add in how hard he fought for Leah to keep the name, Sweet Swirls, and agreeing to buy Arnold his favorite pecan rolls- I mean how can you not love him?
Read this book for: -FMC baker -MMC lawyer -enemies to more -he falls first/ hardest -great banter - laugh out loud moments (ie gusset scene)
Special thanks to Jen Atkinson for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
* If you need me I will be catching up on Another Bailey Brother Series. If the rest of the boys are anything like Cooper, I will be in for a treat!!!
Ahhh!!! I have loved the Bailey Brothers books so much! After each one, I’ve claimed to have a new favorite Bailey, and here I am saving it again!
When Cooper shows up to a blind date, he quickly discovers it’s not a “blind” date after all. Leah is less than thrilled to see Cooper Bailey walk in the door as her date for the night after her ruined her life in high school. But when he keeps showing up to her cinnamon roll store and buying her treats, she can’t seem to get away. And when she finds out she’s being sued by her ex and need Cooper’s help, she quickly sees a new side to Cooper, one that proves he’s grown up, changed, and is just as sweet as her Sweet Swirls!
Cooper and Leah are as cute as can be! I loved their embarrassing history together, which made their current relationship (or lack thereof) full of snark and banter. I loved that Coop fell first and we got to see wait a big softie he was! Their relationship was so fun from the enemy stage until the end. I just loved these two, seeing the Bailey brothers (and their spouses) again, their mom Lucy, and of course, Alice with her wit, sass, and her matchmaking skills!!
Woohoo! Another Bailey Brother! This time, Jen Atkinson brings us Cooper’s story. This closed-door, sugary-sweet romance is everything I have come to expect from the Bailey Brothers series. Jen’s addictive, happily-ever-afters are what I keep coming back for.
This Bailey Brother addiction focuses on Cooper and Leah. Cooper had it all - looks, brains, and the perfect job. But one decision, made from the heart, ended his promising career. Moving home, he is determined to fight his way back to the top. Leah has known Cooper Bailey since high school and is NOT a fan. Because of some poor teenage decision-making, she became the butt of jokes. Now the owner of a successful cinnamon roll shop, she has a battle all her own.
I just love Leah’s character and her spunkiness. She isn’t afraid to put Cooper in his place. This enemies-to-lovers romcom will make you giggle! The bathroom scene had me belly-laughing. I loved that I got an update on the other Bailey Brothers and their families, a continuation of their stories. As much as I love Cooper, I think Miles is still my favorite.
Thanks to Jen Atkinson for gifting me an eARC of Cooper Bailey Is A Cinnamon Roll. I am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts and opinions are my own
The Brief: Cooper moves back home and ends up on a blind date. He’s sure he can charm her until he sees that it’s Leah. They have a history. And she was burned. By him.
The Debrief: Cooper has so many layers to pull apart and his gooeyness was melty. Leah was as tightly wound as her red dress, but had all the ingredients inside to be loved. Plenty of laughter and sass, but I especially loved all the brother’s conversations. And that ending was PERFECT!!!
the family dynamics uncle Cooper Arnold sweet redemption the gender reveal asking others for help ”kiss me”
The Rhyme: Leah does not want to see Cooper as thoughtful and sweet. When she needs his help will she accept his happier charming beat?
Cooper Bailey IS A CINNAMON ROLL by: Jen Atkinson @authorjenatkinson
I give 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
~The last person on earth Leah wants to see on her blind date is Cooper Bailey. And after she gives him her two cents, she doesn’t expect to ever see him again... till he keeps showing up daily at her cinnamon roll shop…
“And you, sweet Leah, could never ever be a bad idea. You might be the best idea I’ve ever had.”
-Dear friends, Cooper Bailey is a Cinnamon Roll is such a delightful laugh out loud, swoony kissing only, fantastic enemies to lovers romcom with such witty banter and just the right amount of tension. It’s perfect for anyone who ever had a cute high school nemesis or anyone who secretly wanted one. Seriously, this book is full of such sweetness and will have you craving all the sweet rolls and needing to visit a bakery stat to get your fill.
While this may be the last book of the Bailey Brothers, and can easily be read as a stand alone, believe me when I say that you don’t want to want to miss a single one! All the love and happy sighs for each one including Cooper’s story. Worth the wait and so worth the delightful read! I loved watching such a sassy, independent woman, Leah with a big grudge against a charming, kind cinnamon roll hero fall for Leah. Talk about sweetness heaven! But also the dear Bailey Family…they are definitely flawed but they are the best. They are one hundred percent there for each other and loving big while protecting those who love. Also, the shenanigans they are about. Add in a dash of some other fun side characters and you have such a delicious and delightful tale worth raving about, which of course is completely satisfying! I am here for it all! 🙌🏻📚🩷
“You are the smartest, bravest woman I know. Don’t let someone make you question who you are and what you already know.”
-Content: mentions of infertility, kisses only, no swearing!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Thank you to @authorjenatkinson for the #gifted e-book.
Another Bailey Brothers book, and once again, it did not disappoint! Jen Atkinson has truly mastered the art of crafting heartwarming, funny, and emotionally engaging romances. While the titles of these books may be playful, the stories themselves pack a real punch, filled with depth, charm, and irresistible characters.
From the very first page, I was completely hooked. Cooper Bailey is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero—sweet, thoughtful, and impossible not to love. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic was so well done, with just the right mix of tension, banter, and swoon-worthy moments. Throw in a high school history setting, an old nemesis, and a ten-year-old “wing girl” playing matchmaker, and you’ve got a recipe for a delightful, feel-good romance.
The big Bailey family dynamic added so much warmth, and the “red dress” moment? Absolute perfection! I was fully invested from start to finish, and now I just want more. If you love a wholesome, slow-burn romance with plenty of humor and heart, this one is a must-read!
“But,” he says, “here’s what I really want to know.” Cooper’s eyes flash, boring into me. “Do you, Leah Bradford, think I’m sexy?”
It’s official. Cooper Bailey is my favorite.
Cooper got his dream job. Lost his dream job. And is now living back at home, but nobody knows the real reason why. To cheer him up, his friends set him up on a double date with them. Except, he knows this date. And she is not happy to see him.
Leah Bradford’s high school years were ruined by Cooper Bailey. She was humiliated, turned into a meme and would be just fine never seeing the man again. Except, he keeps coming into her bakery to buy cinnamon rolls and he won’t go away until he can apologize. When Leah realizes she needs his legal help, could she put the past behind her?
Cooper and Leah were pure perfection. Cooper is a lover and a giver and wants to help everyone around him. Leah’s been burned by her ex, who just won’t leave her alone and is trying to ruin everything she’s built. When Cooper steps in, she sees him a whole new light and I loved every second of it.
This book gave me ALL the feelings. I laughed, I cried, I laughed so hard that I cried (that bathroom scene!) The way Cooper loves his family was the best. The way he loves his nieces and nephew (he calls Alice his best friend!) He is literally a big gooey cinnamon roll of a man. And Alice! That girl can scheme and I. Am. Here. For. It 👏🏼
I could literally go on and on about this book but I won’t. I will tell you to read it. And yes, you can read it as a standalone but I promise you - you will love it even more if you read these brother’s stories in order!
AND you must read the bonus epilogue! Do not skip it! Because it had me in tears again! I am so sad this series is over but you better believe I’ll be rereading these!
what a couple! i really enjoyed this read. the childhood enemies to lovers is 100% getting me. I think we could all use a cooper bailey (maybe after his teenage years). this is just such a cute romance and i absolute recommend
thank you to netgalley and the author for sending me the book in exchange for an honest review
Positives: The story is light and cozy with many can’t-help-but-smile moments sprinkled over the top. Some of them are laugh out loud funny! And Cooper? He’s a sweetheart. One who cooks, babysits, and doesn’t hesitate to apologize.
Top Moments: - Alice, Arnold, and Cricket may be scene stealers - Cooper, the uncle/ babysitter - The boat and cake scenes (poor Leah!) - Cooper talking with his brother - The ending
I also like the close-knit family element of the story. They add so much warmth. For the most part, three side characters stand out: Alice, Arnold, and Cricket. They really bring a little extra zing to a scene!
Negatives: For me, Leah’s character does not come across in a flattering way. Sure, her behavior is influenced by contributing factors, but her thoughts reveal a hint of immaturity and pettiness. Her reaction to learning that Cooper’s life isn’t perfect makes her seem a little self-absorbed. Unfortunately, by the time her character improves, I felt detached from the story. The scenes with Cooper, Alice, Arnold, and Cricket kept my interest, but I was not truly invested in the romance aspect.
Another drawback for me is Leah hoping that her de*d grandfather would help her business. It’s barely mentioned, but it’s there and not necessary in light of the whole story. The bond they shared is a pivotal part of the plot and is mentioned throughout the book.
Conclusion: I haven’t read the rest of the books in this series, but I didn’t feel lost. Overall, the story has a sitcom or romcom (movie) feel to it, and the dialogue flows swiftly and smoothly. Some of the moments are really funny, as previously stated, and the ending is very sweet and appropriate for the story. Lastly, I like the attention to detail in using two different graphics for their chapters.
Content: Mentions of infertility; no spice/ clean
There are also brief mentions of the following: the Universe; hope that her de*d grandfather will help her; power of thoughts; karma; and stars aligning.

Tropes: Enemies to Lovers cinnamon roll mmc close knit family lawyer x baker Dual POV
Confession time. Cooper Bailey is my first Bailey brother book. I KNOW! How has this been my 4th Jen Atkinson book but my first Bailey Brother? I honestly don't know and I'm mad at myself! I promise I will go back and read about Levi, Miles, and Owen. How could I not after immediately falling in love with all the Baileys?
Cooper Bailey is the youngest of 4 brothers and a sister. He's recently moved back to town, taking a job at a small law firm. Coop's good at his job but he's not always in tune with things that should smack him in the face lol. Poor guy is a little naive that way. When his friends sit him up on a blind date, things quickly take a turn- and while the woman he's suppose to meet has hated him since high school- Cooper has his sights set on Leah and her cinnamon rolls.
Leah is a baker. She owns Sweet Swirls- a bakery focusing on all things rolls: cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, pecan rolls, raspberry rolls, etc. A blind set up turns reveals the guy she blames for her terrible experience in high school to be her date. Only, Cooper won't leave her alone now, coming by her shop ordering rolls every day. Will Coop swirl his way into Leah's heart?
I thought this book was adorable! I love Leah's growth- because to me she does. She not only learns how to deal with her ex-boyfriend, but she also forgives and maturely recognizes that maybe things didn't play out the way she blamed them in her head about high school. I thought Coop was a total cinnamon roll hero. He cares about everyone and wants to fight for what's right.
However, my favorite character is Alice, Coop's 10 year old niece. She's witty, sarcastic, and wise beyond her years. She's great! And when Coop says Alice is literally his best friend, talk about swooning. Also, Cricket, Leah's employee is a hoot. She's crazy and I like it. OH and let's not forget old Mr. Arnold. Someone just give that man a pecan roll!
I cannot wait to read the rest of the Bailey Brother stories now!
Topics throughout the book are: 💟 Small Town 👟 found family 🥮 fake dating 💟 enemies to lovers 👟 Dual POV 🥮 opposite attracts
Summary💟👟🥮: Blind dates? Not exactly everyone’s idea of a good time. But what if your best friend sets you up with your high school nemesis? Now that’s a whole different kind of drama. Leah Bradford despised Cooper Bailey back in the day, and she never expected her blind date to be him. All those bitter memories of Cooper ruining her prom night come flooding back. The only thing that keeps Leah sane? Her Cinnamon Bun Roll Shop. Cooper Bailey, now a successful lawyer, has returned to town after a career-defining case went south. Leah wants nothing to do with him, even after he tries to make things right. But when her ex-boyfriend sues her, Leah finds herself in desperate need of legal help. Is Cooper still the cocky jock from high school, or will he be the cinnamon roll hero she never saw coming? Read to find out!
This is the 4th book in the Another Bailey Brother series, and it’s a cozy, laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers romcom that’s perfect for anyone who had a high school nemesis. Cooper’s charm is irresistible, and Leah is fierce—seriously, can we talk about that red dress?! The side characters, especially Arnold and Cricket, add so much fun to the story (I couldn’t stop laughing). Jen is a phenomenal writer who knows exactly how to keep you hooked and add just the right twists to keep you invested. If you're having a tough day, this book is the perfect escape! Don’t miss out—grab your copy on KU or Amazon. You won’t regret it!
Many thanks to Jen for providing me another opportunity to receive an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Cooper just might be my favorite Bailey brother. Except it's impossible to actually only choose one!
I absolutely loved this enemies to lovers romance. The characters are fantastic. The cinnamon rolls and the pecan rolls and the orange rolls make my mouth water. The romance is slow burn and second chance and so delightful. I loved how this story brings everyone in the Bailey family together. What an ending to this series.
Cooper absolutely is a cinnamon roll. He's thoughtful, sweet, and caring. I loved seeing him with his nieces and nephew and seeing how he can sense when someone needs support or simply a listening ear. He works hard and although life has thrown him a few curve balls, he continues to try to make the world better. His connections with his family are my favorite and I loved the idea of "vulnerable together." I loved his obvious attraction to Leah and how he works to repair and deepen their relationship. Their shared history makes their happily ever after all the sweeter.
Leah is such a fantastic protagonist. I loved getting to know her and seeing her allow herself to fall in love. Leah's Sweet Swirls shop is the stuff of dreams. I want to visit and try all the rolls! I appreciated her journey and how she starts to see the past differently while making the future what she wants it to be. She's tough and witty but also sweet and deeply attached to those she loves; I loved that combination. Seeing her fall for Cooper and allow him to show her how good she can be treated was a true treat. I loved their romance from Alice's matchmaking to their hilarious shared experience with the gusset to their tender declarations of love. I was here for all of it!
Such a beautiful ending to the series! And I loved the bonus epilogue too!
Not only is Cooper Bailey a Cinnamon Roll, but this book is definitely a Cinnamon Roll! Delicious, Sweet, Comfort Read, and Very Satisfying!
Leah, you might not care for Cooper, which I totally get after what happened years ago, but you have to admit he is definitely as sweet and kind as they come! Girl, just trust him and ask more questions about the past. Maybe then more understanding on both of your parts can let that hurt have healing.
Cooper, keep being the kind person you are, and listen to Leah. Help her to see the real you. And yes, keep buying those pecan rolls. She'll eventually see you and come around to knowing the real you.
Just a little advice for you two main characters. You're going to need it!
Such a fun read. The secondary characters were just as delightful as the main characters. I haven't read the previous books in this series but have seen several friends reading and enjoying them that I wanted to dive in and see for myself. I want to go back and read more of these Bailey Brother books because seeing them in this book was so fun. I really like them a lot!
The romance was sweet and flirty and fun. I loved the moments of healing for these two characters. And watching them work together through struggles and find joy and happiness in their lives. They both need a win!

You say “Bailey brother,” and I’ll be there! Cooper is the youngest of the Bailey brothers, and his story had me smiling from beginning to end.
Now, imagine you’re already having a rough time—nothing seems to be going right. So, when you get set up on a blind date, you think, Why not? Maybe this is exactly what I need to get out of my funk. But then you show up… and realize it’s the girl you embarrassed at prom. The same girl whose boyfriend dumped her in front of everyone because of you. Meet Cooper and Leah, everybody!
These two were hilarious! Their chemistry and banter were fantastic. I especially loved how they both needed help from each other but refused to ask until it was their absolute last option. Cooper was such a cinnamon roll, and I adored him. His attempts to earn Leah’s forgiveness—especially how he got tricked into buying Mr. Arnold a daily cinnamon roll—had me cracking up. Leah was my favorite kind of feisty! The wedding boat bathroom scene? Absolutely hilarious and also my worst nightmare at the same time.
I was so happy that Cooper got the girl, and Leah got to keep her shop name. And of course, Cooper the pretty and perfect on the outside, warm, sweet, and just a little gooey on the inside, just like a cinnamon roll.
Naturally, I loved the pop-ins from the other Bailey brothers and their wives. But that gender reveal scene? Easily a top-five moment of the year for me! And I know we’re done with the Bailey brothers, but some way, somehow, I need more of Cricket. She was truly a gem!
There’s no other way I would want a series to end than with this fun, lighthearted, closed-door rom-com. Cooper is the “baby” of the Bailey brothers and his story features an enemies-to-lovers trope with lots of laughs (one word…guest!) and special moments. Leah, a local baker, learns to put aside the past and give Cooper a chance after he proves to her that he isn’t the high school party guy anymore, but the epitome of a cinnamon roll hero. I adored the mentions of all the Bailey family and catching up with them: Alice, Cooper’s pre-teen niece, stole the show with her comic relief as she was full of wit and wisdom and let everybody know it. Also-bonus epilogue provided such amazing closure-I had tears of happiness in a just few short pages…it was all I ever wanted for a conclusion to the Bailey Family saga. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to read early-thoughts are my own, honest and voluntary. 4.5 stars
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! I really wanted to give this book a 4.5 or a 5 but it’s a 4 for me at most. It’s a really good read, I finished it an about 2 days - I could have finished it in a day, but you know, work ugh. It’s a clean romance, chick lit and great storyline. But I think what’s missing is that more up close and personal feel with the main characters - I’d wished they had more dates between the two of them (versus family and friends) just to give them more time in the spotlight. It felt like there were always other characters around and having their stories thrown in. However, I did enjoy the characters families and they were all great characters. I would recommend this book and will be reading the rest of the series still! It’s very well written and flows very well with the writing style.
“Do I think Leah Bradford is beautiful? Sure—I’m not dead. Do I think she’s full of fire? Yes—because she is. The woman literally blazes when she speaks. Am I trying to make amends? I’m a good person—so yes, I am. Okay? Just trying to do the right thing over here, nothing more. No alternative motives.”
Can I just say how much I loved Leah Bradford?! She is feisty, full of zest, and knows what she’s fighting for.
Cooper Bailey truly is a cinnamon roll! He is gooey on the inside, which I adore in MMCs. He made a mistake in high school and is still paying the proverbial price, which sets the scene for this story.
Watching him win over Leah is so, so ridiculously delightful! Especially since she is DETERMINED not to like the high-school-ruining Cooper Bailey.

Thank you to NetGalley and Jen Atkinson for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.
I thought this book was really cute! I thought the banter between the two characters was fun. I didn't understand why she hated Cooper for so long. I felt like the anger she she had for Cooper was misplaced. However, I thought that both families were so fun and I look forward to reading the rest of the books by this author and the other books in this series. I thought Cooper was a sweet character after getting to know his personality after the first couple of chapters. It took some time for Leah to grow on me but she did end up growing on me and I ended up enjoying her character the more I learned about her.
I would love to read other books in this series by Atkinson in the future. This was a cute romance and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Ahhh! Cooper is my favorite Bailey brother. I think I’ve said that every time. I just love the Bailey family.
Cooper got fired from his fancy lawyer job and moved back home. Only thing…he didn’t tell anyone why. When his friends set him up on a blind date from the girl from high school who HATES him….things are bound to get interesting!
Leah just opened her own cinnamon bun store and she hates Cooper with every bone in her being for what he did to her in high school. Cooper isn’t one to just let things going though…
Tropes: Cinnamon roll MMC Second Chance He falls first Enemies to lovers Close knit family Small town
I LOVED this book. Cooper Bailey? I’m in love. I hate miscommunication and there was none here!!! The initial conflict is reasonable and explainable and Cooper bends over backwards to make amends. This man is truly a cinnamon roll. When dealing with pathetic jerk he was suddenly a cinnamon roll Rottweiler?? Leah was also wonderful. She felt realistic and her goals/aspirations were attainable. The way Atkinson wrote the Bailey family meetings made me feel as though I was in the room with them. Dialogue flowed naturally and felt realistic. If you can’t tell yet I loved this book and will definitely pick up another by this author!!
