Creating Your Future: Five Steps to the Life of Your Dreams

Rate this book
We all have a future we care about, whether it is the next year, the next decade, or even far off, after we are gone. Controlling that future is as simple as imagining it in detail and constructing a bridge of enabling goals to achieve it. By daring readers to dream and plan, CREATING YOUR FUTURE will open them up to new and creative possibilities; by creating a structured vision of where they are headed, readers will discover that they are suddenly free to be more spontaneous and present in their daily lives. A motivational road map for getting the most out of life, this five-step program - Commit, Create, Construct, Carry Out, and Celebrate - invites readers to participate fully with the book, to reflect, to revise, and ultimately to visualize and live a more meaningful and deeply fulfilling life.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on this book. I picked it up at a local library, and what caught my eye is it didn’t have the bold tones of “Change your life!” screaming at me on the cover. It felt more like an invitation to read, and was enjoyable. One of the quotes at the beginning of the book resonated with me.
“One of the saddest lines in this world is, ‘oh come on now - be realistic’. The best parts of this world were not fashioned by those who dared to look hard at their wishes and gave them horses to ride.” - Richard N. Bolles
This book, at the very least, gave me a good dose of inspiration. There is even a list of inspiring things to do to get your inner self motivated and moving. 4/5 stars.
