Ann Goering is an award-winning journalist and author of Christian fiction.

Goering is passionate about helping women encounter Jesus, experience transformative hope, and live a life deeply rooted in the Word of God. She’s worked alongside an international Christian ministry for the past 15 years, as well as serving at her local church, and leading groups of women into encounters with Jesus through small groups and Bible studies.

She believes so much in the power of stories to illustrate spiritual principles, grow faith, and increase empathy, so wherever she is, you’ll find her sharing stories that reveal the beauty of Jesus amidst everyday life.

Goering loves entrepreneurship, travel, rodeos, interior design, deep friendships, and good hair days, but her absolute favorites are the people in her life.

She’s a Midwest girl soaking up the sunshine in the American Southwest, living on chicken molé and sweet tea, homeschooling her three best friends (aka daughters) with the only guy she’s ever kissed.

I loved the first book in the series. Started to get a bit frustrated in the second one though because of secrets not being told (felt it dragged a bit). But the lessons in the book about forgiveness and trusting God with circumstances were strong! Also how just by loving people can make a difference as well.

Still to read the third book. Was not ready for the third book yet as I got a bit annoyed with the characters when I read the extract for the third book.

✅Christian romance
✅Second chances

Jessica “Jessi” Cordell thought she left her heartbreak behind in Glendale. Small town? ✅ Sweet boy named Joe? ✅ Emotional damage? DOUBLE ✅✅

Now she’s back in D.C. trying to rebuild her life — new job, new routines, same old broken heart. 💔

But God? Yeah, He’s got other plans. 😭

Me reading:
Page 1: “Oh no… she’s still hurting 😢”
Page 40: “Wait is that Joe?? 👀”
Page 90: “God really said ‘Let there be character growth’ 😭👏”
Page 200: “Faith, hope, and tears — I’m unwell 🥹”

In A New Day, Ann Goering teaches that healing and renewal come through God’s grace, forgiveness, and faith. The story shows how letting go of guilt and surrendering control allows God to bring peace and purpose back into a broken life. Through Jessi’s journey, readers see that faith isn’t about being perfect it’s about trusting that every ending can become a new beginning when you let God guide you. The novel beautifully reminds us that His mercy is new every day, and no one is ever too lost for redemption. 🌿✨

This was the perfect continuation of Joe and Jessi's story. Jessi moved back to DC to live with her dad and new stepmom and even though it started out rocky, God revealed Himself to Jessi and her dad. They both became Christians during really rough times in their lives. Jessi found herself dealing with teenage pregnancy, and Bill was involved in a car accident that claimed another's life. There will always be hard times in life, but God is there waiting and ready to help us through it. I love how Ann uses real life situations and shows how God will work through those times with us. Can't wait to read the next book in this series!

This book is second in a Christian contemporary romance saga series. Our main characters start off in this book where we left off in book 1, as high schoolers who have been separated. They’ve made mistakes and have to face the consequences. Jessi is back in Washington DC with her dad and step mom. Joe is still back in his small town and then heads off to college as a football star. This book is unique and has a very strong faith focus. Jessi has a huge secret that encompasses the entire book. Throughout the years this book covers, we see tragedy and faith intertwine and grow. Family, reconciliation, and redemption. I’m curious to continue this series.

I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

A rather typical book 2 of a trilogy, but still an easy read and entertaining. Another 99cent download from amazon, and it was a great power-outage read. The series could end at book 2, but the author throws in a twist with the epilogue. I am not sure why she did that, but I will obviously be reading book 3 to find out.

..If wishes came true

A mother who had lost contact with her precious twins father wished many times to have back in their life. She had given him up because she wanted him to have his dreams. She became a Christian and learned love and forgiveness. A very good story.
