The Promiscuous Puppeteer
by Walter B. Biondi

The Promiscuous Puppeteer is a multifaceted story about a secret gold exploration company funded by a syndicate comprised of some of the largest mining companies in North America and a CEO who is approached by a Mexican Native American woman, whose skills, from a sordid and seedy past, have the potential to help launch the world's largest gold discovery onto the international stage.

Chinese intelligence and embassy officials, US politicians, unscrupulous industry leaders, and a fledgling but growing and menacing Native American mafia are all primary constituents of a compelling and momentous drama that takes place throughout the western third of the United States. It all begins in a five-thousand-foot-high remote desert location called Tonopah, Nevada.

In an unusual decision, the publisher included an uncharacteristically lengthy "About The Author" section in the final pages of the book. In brief, it was written "...the incredible and previously unknown story... about the author, Walter Biondi,...who after hitting absolute rock bottom...rose to became a storied and unbelievable success..." in public and private life. The author said, "My personal and previously private background may be of some help to those in need of hope and inspiration. For the first time, readers, viewers, and listeners will learn something new about me. It was something I tried to forget, and was always loathe to resurrect, until now.
I have been asked to consider writing a sequel to my new book and/or an autobiography about living a young life in absolute hell and then fighting my way up to the top." Which one should it be?"

I love this book! Walt did a great job with research and such great descriptive work as well. I have been hoping for a great THRILLER when I heard of this book, I was very excited and I do hope this becomes a motion picture! I love the suspense and this book has been such a breath of fresh air for this girl, who loves suspense!

Part 4 just cranked up the volume of excitement! The first chapter was so suspenseful and it just creeps up to the Part 4 that takes the reader over the edge of their seat wondering how this is all going to end! And boy does the ending surprise you! I was so thrilled and was left hoping there would be more to come!

I loved this book. It was rich in description, and made you feel like you were in the different places... I also really liked the characters, and without giving any spoilers, will say I loved the ending.

In a way I hated the ending too, because I wasn't ready for the story to end. I think the story can continue if our dear author could conjure up some more plots!

It helps that I love jewelry, and the different settings of the story. And that I identified with the characters. I would recommend this book highly.

WOW, I loved it! When I read the last sentence I said out loud, "Huh!" It was like a surprise O'Henry ending. I definitely will recommend the Promiscuous Puppeteer to my friends. The story is more than just the search for gold and has so much intrigue. It was a compelling read. It will make for an interesting book group discussion.

A book rich in detail about precious metals exploration from the sense of the geologist, business person, financier, politician, international policy makers, and parasites. Understanding about the industry builds to support the complexity of the plot. Suspenseful and pleasurable read.

We really enjoyed reading this book. We found it very interesting, informative and with a very clever ending. The author has an exceptional talent for storytelling and character development. We also loved Walt's references to Port Ludlow and the Olympic Peninsula. Every time we go to The Inn at Port Ludlow we will be on the lookout for Tiponi. Thanks Walt for a good read and hope the story continues.

Many surprising sub plots woven into the overall plot. An enlightening experience. A powerful primary character and cast of several. The story is rich in details and intensifies. Never disappoints through the last chapter, page, and sentence. Reading it again. The Author's section was another total surprise. I WILL look for another by him and tell others. Best I've read in a long time.

Excellent read. Felt like I was living every bit of it. If you have never been in the Western Deserts, this will give you a great insight. Didn't want the book to end. Looking forward to the next one.
