Carter is my other favorite Boo with the same name. London knew in her heart that Dante was not her person. Why else would her connection to Carter be soooooo strong. The recap and reminders for readers to remember where London and Dante left their final vestige of being together... real talk..A hall pass, really Dante! I was so happy that Carter proved to be the best choice. No spoilers, but just read this one and be happy.
I've been waiting on Carter and London's story since I read Just for One Night, and it did not disappoint. London was my favorite type on FMC because even if she was unsure of her feelings, she still didn't let anyone make her do something she didn't want to do, no matter how much her mom and Dante tried to influence her. I loved her growth. My boy Carter applied pressure from the first time he saw London, even if he didn't know at the time that he wanted a full relationship. Both Carter and London fumbled a bit, but they kept working at the relationship and their communication, and eventually they got it right, and I loved it.
London & Carter put me through it ok! Just Because had the perfect amount of drama, spice and intensity! Dante was trash and I'm not sure why London's mom was tripping on Carter at first because Dante definitely was NOT it!
Now let me tell you what almost had me throwing my Kindle.... Carter was playing in all of our faces with that ex of his, I don't give a damn how bad she felt, if she needed consoling I'm sure she had a homegirl or two, London had every right to be mad because how dancing with my man helping you mourn? No ma'am.
I'm glad they took the time to work through their issues, seek professional help and have a happy ending.
Carter and London's story was a true example of what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. I loved how both of them were in need of true love and passion, and they were able to find it with each other. I knew from Book 1 that I wasn't feeling Dante and Book 2 proved to me why I didn't. In my opinion, any man that would request a hall pass is not the man for you. The growth of the characters, the friendships, the passion mentioned above as well as the chemistry made this an excellent book to read.
I enjoyed London and Carter‘s story. I’m glad that she did a full recovery from the accident. I enjoy the fact that they were able to be honest with each other. Carter wasn’t playing when it came to London and it showed when he stood up to her mom. Nice ending wish we could find out what happened in Book one after the proposal and the next chapter in book 2. Onto Makenna’s story in book 3. definitely worth recommending.💕💕💕
And another one!! Baby if you didn’t smoke a cigarette after the first book you definitely gonna smoke on after this one. I loved everything about this book like the first one - the characters , sex scenes, themes , etc etc. I can’t wait to read more bangers from this author.
I couldn’t choose which book I loved more London or Tiana’s. So I won’t. It was Dante nerve for me. Like for him to do everything he did. To try and gaslight her. Then think wasn’t nothing supposed to change. Bruhh really he got everything he deserved. A don’t get me started on Rob or her raggedy momma
🌟🌟🌟.5🎧 The first half of Just Because felt a bit repetitive, since much of London’s storyline was already covered in Just for One Night. It wasn’t until the second half that the story really grabbed my attention. Once it picked up, I found myself enjoying it more especially because the relationship dynamics felt less toxic this time around.
Carter and London story was beautiful. I loved how they had to go through a rough patch to get where they needed to be. Egypt was able to show how when you dont communicate, either partner can think the wrong things. Some women can be jealous of what you have. It is always good to be aware of the people around you.
It's an awesome first set of books. London and Carter were so good together, even with their ups and downs! The families were good, but London Mama needed to be handled just as Carter did! I enjoyed the epilogue! Again, bravo first set of books
So, I gave this a 4 star because basically everything that was in this book was in the first book, but with a little more detail. I was skipping stuff because I already knew what happened and didn’t need to reread it.
Better than the first book in the series, right to the point. Donte cheating behind opened up the door to London's happiness and I love that for her. She almost married him because he was familiar and she would've lived to regret it.
At first i wasnt interested in London's and Carter's story because i thought it was focused on cheating. but it was really good. The whole thing was a misunderstanding/miscommunication trope.. EXHAUSTING. but it was good. The accident was triggering . Also mention of sibling death.
I'm sorry but this book was hilarious for all the wrong reasons. The fact that their baseball season is happening in the dead of winter had me dying lol
