It's to much of his playboy past, his hook ups everyone and his sister telling fmc all his past.
Even at one point when she doesn't sleep with him. He throws it in her face he'll have company if she won't sleep with him. 🙄🙄🙄 he doesn't but he's an asshole.

January 2, 2025This is the story of Allie and Jake.
Allie is the best friend of Jake's younger sister Kenzi. They don't know each other all that well but Allie has always harboured a crush on Jake, he is oblivious to her and a massive player both on and off the ice. Allie ends up working as a PT for the team that Jake plays for and despite the fact that Jake has never seen her as anything more than his sister's friend there is insta lust/love between these two. The go from zero to 100 in the space of a few page which took away from the story a little for me. I would have liked to have more of the background e.g. how often did they interact in the past and then seen them coming together gradually.
Jake definitely has some trust issues which shows throughout the book.
What would have made this a higher rating for me:
Less on page talk about Jake and other women;
More background on Allie and Jake and their past interactions – it didn't feel all that natural that these two came together and for me had Jake even noticed her previously but written her off as his sisters bff it would have worked a little better for me;
There were a few inconsistencies which didn't work also, on one hand he and the sister seem to be in each others lives a lot but then we are told in the book they aren't all that close!?!

Off-Limits PUCK is a forbidden hockey romance. This book is beautifully written, well balanced and perfectly executed by L.J. Grey. L.j. Grey continues to show what a remarkable author they are with each book that I have read by this author so far. I absolutely adored getting to know Allie and Jake as well as getting to witness their journey unfolding throughout the book. I immediately fell in love with Allie and Jake. I do love that Allie and Jake have a happy ending with them becoming engaged. I couldn’t get enough of their phenomenal story, also I didn’t want to set this book down until I read the last page. This book was completely captivating from beginning to end. The chemistry between Allie and Jake is undeniably irresistible to the point where neither one of the could no longer ignore what they feel for each other. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing books from this amazing author in the future. I would absolutely give this book as a recommendation for anyone to checkout and give this amazing hockey romance book a read.

Jake and Allie's story was the perfect mix of sweet and steam. I loved the connection they had. I enjoyed the forbidden aspect of the book. The only part I wish I had more of was the past encounters. I wanted to see flash back scenes on their interactions growing up. I think it would've added extra zhoosh to the story and made it feel more balanced. I also wanted more of these two! They get married I'm guessing. Do they have kiddos? I want ALL THE DETAILS.
But overall, I really enjoyed Off Limits Puck. I would definitely recommend it to someone who loves the forbidden best friends brother trope and hockey. I appreciated the fact that Jake was facing some very real fears about his injury due to hockey and their love story didn't take away from that or make it fantasized. Getting ready to dive into Ice Cold Truth. I need more in this world!.

Allie Got her dream job as a physical therapist for the NHL hockey team—the Charlotte Eagles. The star player of the team is Jake Williams her best friend brother ,she had a crush on him but she never told her friend .
Jake has injury on his shoulder and they assigned her to make sure he recovers because the first game is in 8 days when she checked his shoulder she suggested that he rest for a few days ,and in the meantime she will watch him but the coach didn’t trusted him near any women,so he also went to his house with his assistant coach.
A lady same age of her started working for him as a chef,she told her things about him ,that she wanted to check if it’s true.
A Good book that I really loved reading.
Highly recommend it to who loves reading about Hockey love stories.

OMG this was a great book. It was a steamy page turner of an hockey romance story ever. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. Allie and Jake chemistry and physical attraction was mind blowing of passion and romance when it on the ice of romance and sensation as this love was emotions and drama but his reputation was wild. They couldn't fight the temptation any longer. Was it love at first sight could she tamed him once an for all.

I have come to really love reading some HOT hockey of limits romance books and this one by L.J. is OMG AMAZING. Allie just got her dream job with the NHL Charlotte Eagles hockey team as their new physical therapist and watch out because her new client is Jake who is a womanizer is a big way. So, if you want to know if they clash with one another or if his HOT looks get her into his bed you're going to want to read this book. It will keep you on your toes and the romance is really good as well.

This is Book 1 in the Love On Ice Series by this author. It is an off limits sports romance between Allie and her best friend's brother, Jake. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. It is a sweet love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, humor and charm, family dynamic, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. Entertaining.

The plot was good, the characters great. Jake and Allie are a fire waiting to spark. Allie finally gets her dream job as pt for the eagles a hockey team. Her best friends brother is the star player and she has had a crush on him for years. He injured his shoulder previously and is still having a lot of pain and that's who they want her to treat. The sparks explode immediately and the fire has been lit. A very enjoyable read I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It was great how she gets his shoulder healed. Unfortunately higher ups and others interfere in their relationship. It takes a bit of time before all the lies of others are revealed and I really like how Jake makes everything right. I'm glad Jake and Allie can finally be together in the end.

This was a cute, best friends brother/childhood crush hockey romance. It had the angst, drama, miscommunication, ick factor for the best friend, as well as shedding some light on the inequality for consequences for breaking some rules. I enjoyed the character development of Jake, from stereotypical Sportstar womanizer to the realization he lost something he valued and went about changing his ways.

I enjoy the Author's writing style very much - language, imagination and story-line. It keep you attracted until finishing reading.

Allie did not expect her dream job to lead her to her longtime crush and who has been assigned as her client. Right from the start, these two had a connection despite their past views. The characters were a delight and this was a fun quick read. I love hockey so the theme was the perfect thing for a snowy winter day.

This was a best friends brother, workplace romance combined with sports romance. Allie is a new physical therapist working for an NHL team and is assigned her best friends brother, Jake. The tension between them is instant and the spice takes off from there. The workplace aspect is highly visible in this story and the difference in the treatment of the player and support staff is highlighted. I found Allie’s ability to move forward in the face of adversity admirable and I loved the humor and drama her BFF’s life brought to the book.
