You are not your worst moments
This is my second experience with Little Frog, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s perfect for difficult moments, moments of calm and as a companion in times of sadness. My favourite reminder:
Downtime is important; it makes the good times even better.
Highly recommended.

The illustrations, the messages-double cute!! “When you make a decision that is right for you, it doesn’t always feel good-but that doesn’t mean you did the wrong thing.” P.s. I want all the shoes (without the pain).

Adorable and encouraging little book! I received it as a birthday gift from one of my besties who is a therapist. The artwork is key to this little gem, and it enhances the little bits of encouragement and inspiration throughout. I love seeing the artist and author’s vision come to life through the little frog and all of her boots. Great book when you want a little dose of positivity.

I absolutely love Maybell Eequay's artwork, but when I found she had encouraging books with my favorite Little Frog, I was over the moon! This book is perfect for a quick read, if you are in need of a pick-me-up or a little encouragement, and it also makes a wonderful gift (I gave one to each of my goddaughters for Christmas last year).

Some of my favorite passages from the book:

"Take care of yourself the same way you would care for someone you love."

"When you look for beauty in the world, you will find it."

"Who you are, at your core, is a kind of magic that no one can replicate."

I found the phrases of inspiration and advice mostly spoke to me. I read the full thing and keep in on my desk to open to a page. The phrases are organized (Connecting with Self, Connecting with Others, Five Journal Prompts, Little Reminders) which is nice.

One thing I would have liked is a table of contents with these section headers.

This delightful little book was recently gifted to me by some colleagues, and what a charming surprise it turned out to be. The whimsical illustrations immediately drew me in—especially all the adorable shoes the frog wears throughout the story! Each page offers gentle, uplifting reminders that echo my own inner dialogue. It’s the perfect little companion to keep nearby for those challenging days when I need a quick reminder of what truly matters.

Absolutely love The Little Frog. I am all in on The Little Frog. Some excerpts:

What would you do if you weren't afraid?

What is currently in your life that you once wished for?

What do you want your life to look like one year from now?

If you want to add a little sweetness into the world, write a letter to a stranger, wishing good things for them, and leave it on a public bench. ("I hope whoever finds that has a great day")

If you like something about someone, tell them (even if they are a stranger)! So often we admire things about people but never say them aloud, and you never know how much sharing your thoughts might mean to them. ("I like your boots" "Thanks")

Don't underestimate how healing it can be to spend time quietly sitting by water, looking at the night sky, or walking in the woods.

Take time to be astonished. Magic can be found in the most unexpected places.

Remember, you have come a very long way and overcome many things in this life. Cherish the people who make you laugh and embrace even the smallest moments of joy. It's easy to become hardened by this world, but it's brave to hold on to the parts of you that are tender. The world desperately needs more tenderness.

“You are not your worst moments” — Little Frog

Little Frog* always brings me a burst of joy. I feel validated, loved and supported by Little Frog (thanks Maybell). This quick read is a special look into finding day-day-magic. From affirmations, journal prompts to coping skills, this addition to the Little Frog world is essential.
