You’d think being a solar dragon in a bustling city of magic and mayhem would make life easy. Not so much.
This weekend, Brock Clayton planned for a relaxing getaway with a chaotic gaggle of monster girls, but when the Dream Girls' vacation plans go up in smoke, the gang opts for a staycation instead. Brock’s cozy weekend quickly spirals into madness when babies are born, a dark elf nurse gets way too handsy, and the Evil Girls demand their share of his time.
Oh, and the city slapped him with a 10,000-gold fine for “illegal time-manipulation-based magic experiments.” What an overreaction.
As Brock juggles the hilarity of pregnancy chaos, rivalries between his girls, and his own ambitions for immortality and control of time, he finds out that no matter how crazy things get, as long as he's with his ladies, he can make it work.
Volume 8 of Solar Dragons Need Love, Too! is packed with scorching romance, laugh-out-loud antics, and more magical shenanigans than you can shake a unicorn horn at. Whether it's cookie-baking kitsunes, gamer girl meltdowns, or life advice from a snarky ghost that just so happens to be his long lost sister, our resident Solar Dragon's latest story is sure to be a roaring good time!
Is pretty epic, I must say lol. I really enjoyed being able to read about the original girls again. It was fun to see them all get some dedicated time with Brock. The babies are adorable and the reactions of Satina and Tahini were hilarious. I think Virgil did an amazing job at just making everything real? It's definitely slice of life, there's no major enemies to deal with, but all of the girls have something that needs to be worked on and Brock does his best to make it happen. There's plenty of shenanigans and chaos like usual for SD and I enjoyed reading all of it. I recommend reading this latest book and I'm looking forward to the Evil Girls getting their vacation time next!
Sorry, Author Knightly; as much as I enjoyed the previous editions of Solar Dragons, I’m having a REALLY hard time figuring out what value this episode brings to the series. Honestly? It feels more like thrown-together claptrap than a coherent addition to the series.
Anyway - a 1-star review for being SUCH a miserable mosh-mash. Avoid this book at all costs.
The humor is terrific and the interaction between the characters fills you with a joy that is hard to define. The author does a superior job of moving between characters and helping each of them feel alive. This is a fantastic series and a tremendous boost to your day. Very happy that the author is continuing the series!
Another good book in this series. This has a little more action then book 7. Things are heating up in the harem. I won't say because I won't spoil anything. We will see what happens in the next book.
There is no plot at this point. Just vibes, I guess. The Dream Girls are the best of the harem teams, so at least we mostly focus on them (it does spend away too much time on Satina's appetite, though). Quinny gotta lot of screen time as the midwife, and is now my new favorite character. Not much else to say. I assume there will be more.
