Falling for a liar was a different kind of pain. How could you love someone who wasn’t who they said they were? It was impossible to let them go, even though they deserved it. Did any of us even know the real Ander Lavaro?
With the mafia closing in on us, time was running out. I couldn’t lose anyone else, but they had their sights set on Zavier. There was no way we’d get out of this unscathed. If Ander had been honest from the start, none of this would have happened.
This was bigger than us, so it was no surprise when the street crews got involved. With them by our side, we could handle anything. Until an attack ended with blood on my hands and one of my guys being taken. No one messed with my family. No one.
If Stefano Ricci thought we’d lie down and take it, he was dead wrong. Sometimes you just had to fight fire with fire. How many people had to die before this was over? It was a war we never saw coming, one that I wasn’t sure we could win.
*This is Raven, Logan, Reid, Ander, and Zavier's story. Filthy Liar is the third and final book in a reverse harem/why choose trilogy. It contains dark content, adult themes, and violence.
R.E. Bond is a dark romance author from Tasmania, Australia. She is obsessed with reverse harem books, especially if they have m/m! She collects paperbacks as a hobby, has read or written every day since she started high school, and constantly needs music in her daily life. She loves camping and rodeos in the summer, and not getting out of bed in the winter. Coffee and books are life, and curse words are just sentence enhancers.
great finish to this installment in the watch me burn series. appearances from OG Rory, and new gen Beckett. liked all the new characters from The Heights 💯🔥🥰
This book is the final book in the Heights trilogy and does a fantastic job of wrapping up this story with a nice bow on top! It has all the things we've come to love from these books: snarky banter and one-liners, so much spice, tons of funny moments, all the emotions, and lovable side characters. It starts right where Broken Promises had thrown us off a cliff and left us dying to know what happened next.
I think this book is my favorite of the three because we've gotten past the majority of the relationship drama and are now focusing on the outside threats. While dealing with those problems, things are clicking into place to set up Raven, Logan, Reid, Zavier, and Ander's futures. So much good happens in this book, and I found myself with tears in my eyes (both sad and happy) a few times. Also ended up laughing and smiling more than I have in a long time while reading. Oh and then there's the group scenes! Holy hotness, the group scenes! Prepare to fan yourself! There's just so much going on in this book and it'll keep you on an emotional rollercoaster the whole time!
You'll enjoy seeing a bunch of your favorite characters from the other books in this interconnected world as well. I love that we get to see those characters more even though their series/books have ended because we get an update on them and see how things are going. I truly loved everything about this book. R.E. does a fabulous job of giving us the perfect happy ending for Raven and her guys, as well as some of the characters we've met along the way.
This was probably my favorite out of the three books; picking up where book two left off. So much going on, and hit after hit, but the author put it all together very well to where it wasn’t too much at once.
I loved seeing all the relationships evolve into more. Everyone open by up and communicating the best way they know how, and all striving to make a better life for themselves and their family. The guys will do anything to keep Raven safe, but she also doesn’t always shy away from things. She wants to know; understand, and be there for them like they do for her.
Each person has suffered in some way. Whether past or present. And each one also has to deal with some of that trauma throughout this books. But, they don’t stop to bring down Stefano and keep their loved ones safe. The humor, banter, emotions, suspense, etc. kept me on my toes waiting for the final shoe to drop.
This was a fantastic wrap up to The Heights series. Raven and her men have grown so much over the course of this trilogy. Each one of them is finding their own path to a better future. They are finally willing to ask and accept help with the mafia problem. It really does take a village sometime to better one’s circumstances or help you out when life throws you some road blocks.
I love how much the original crew is in this story. They have become such a positive influence on their community. It’s a joy to read how they have matured and all the positive contributions they are making to the surrounding towns. The crew seems to be the only people trying to make The Heights a safer place for everyone.
These books must be read in order and I would highly recommend you read the Watch Me Burn, From the Ashes and The Night Thieves series. Ms. Bond does a fantastic job intertwining these worlds and bring them together.
I am so sad this series is over but what a spectacular ending! I absolutely loved Raven. She is such a great FMC. Her guys are absolutely perfect for her too and each bring something different. A few of them definitely had to grovel some for things that happened.
This book starts off where the last one ended. All of them are having to avoid things happening and trying to find the bad guys too.
The sp!ce was definitely hot and enjoyed every minute of it. Was so glad to have the other characters from other series in this book too. Rory is an absolute bada$$ and really enjoy how she is at being there for others and considers them her kids even if not biologically hers. Diesel is just the best too and don't even get me started on Slash. Raven, Logan, Reid, Zavier, and Ander are lucky to have them in their corner.
Raven and her guys are the epitome of perseverance despite the less than ideal circumstances they were dealt in life. I absolutely love seeing Rory (from the WATCH ME BURN series) getting to be the kind of parent she wished she had been blessed with as a child. The dynamic of this group is full of sexual tension, forbidden love, and secrets that could destroy everything. This is a why choose, best friends, brother's best friend, enemies to lovers mixed troupe with lots of hard hitting real life situations. The character growth in this trilogy is incredible.
Please note that this trilogy contains several big triggers, including suprise pregnancy/miscarriage, death of a parent, death of a sibling, child abuse, sexual assualt, and parental negligence.
Let me first say this. I'm a big fan of all these characters but 1. I love Rachel and all her books, but this character makes me cringe. The story line is great. I loved the story, but not the character, and that is fine. It's my opinion. Raven is the one character I can't stand. She's weak, too much of a tomboy, and I think because of everything, and how she is as a character I picture her a dirty girl, from the wrong side of the tracks. Even when the guys claim she's beautiful, I can't picture it. He whining, and her boyish ways, just make me cringe. The rest of the characters are amazing, and mesh well with each other. The mafia prince, Logan, Zav, and Reid are great characters. They have great parts in this story. Read it, make your own assessment. You'll love the story. I promise.
Filthy Liar by R.E. Bond is the third book in the Heights series and continues Raven and her guys story perfectly!!! And while I’m sad to see this one end, the end was definitely what we all needed! Picking up right where the mats one left us hanging, it did not leave us waiting for long! And of course old friends are still sprinkled throughout this story (looking at you Rory and her crew!) which makes it even better.
Raven as always was utter perfection and I loved seeing how the story all came together for Raven, Logan, Reid, Ander, and Zavier—all of who were perfect for her in their own way—and of course the spice and desires was chefs kiss!!! I loved how they had so much to overcome and work together with because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good well deserved Grovel?!?!
Overall this is a definite must read for anyone that loves the worlds and characters that Bond has created and loves a smoking hot RH romance!
What an amazing, action-packed, spicy and extremely entertaining conclusion to this phenomenal trilogy. There were so many twists and turns, loads of heartbreaking moments and emotional turmoil, and so many edge of the seat moments that kept me glued to the story.
Raven, Logan, Reid, Zavier, and Ander take us on a fast paced and exciting journey of finding answers, protecting their unique family, healing all of the hurt and allowing their hearts to finally find the happiness that they all deserve. It was one hell of a rollercoaster ride of emotions that I wasn’t expecting.
I loved seeing the growth of these amazing characters. And how their unique dynamic has evolved over the course of this series. They have come to be an incredible team that can share happiness, healing and love with each other.
I fell in love with Raven in Dirty Secrets. from. a crappy part of town. Her and her guy friends did the best they could trying to make it. While Raven is being a teenage girl with teenage hormones her guys are trying to protect her from the outside demons of the world. In Broken Promises we find out Ander isn't exactly what he seems to be and Raven has to determine if she can handle him having secrets he never told her about .
In Filthy Liar- every thing that happened in the dark has slowly come to the light. Ander is higher on the food chain than he originally let on. Zav, Reid, Logan have all cleaned up their acts to be the best possible boyfriends to Raven while she makes a better life for herself
I’m so sad to see this series come to a close! But the author definitely ended things with a bang! Raven and her guys keep taking hit after hit from Stefano but it made their HEA all that much sweeter!
R.E. Bond writes some of the best dynamics amongst the men in her RH books and I really loved the bond with these guys. I also really enjoyed how Rory and her crew factored into everything and how hard everyone fights for the children caught up in their rough world.
This book and the whole series was action packed, super dramatic, funny, and full of spice (although I will say imo this book could cut back a bit on the spicy scenes). I love this author so much and this series is exactly why!
This is the final book for Raven and her guys . I’m sad to know that this is it for them but I’m very happy with how it all turned out .
This story is about grief , growth & love . For all characters in this book they each went through their own tragedies, broken down. They found solace in each other as well as finding it in Raven .
This author will always blow me away with her story telling & found family settings most of which are pretty relatable. I loved reading about everyone’s growth an how they had the chance to make a change and help their own community.
5 stars an beyond . If RH bad boys an strong female characters with a bit of violence & found family is your thing? I recommend this trilogy
Filthy Liar is book 3 in The Heights trilogy. This is a dark why choose romance. Make sure to check the trigger warning.
I didn't want this trilogy to end but what an amazing ending it was!!!
We pick up where we left off in book 2, Broken Promises, and we are back with Raven, Logan, Reid, Zavier and Ander.
These characters have grown so dang much over this trilogy and I love them all so much! They know what they want and won't stop fighting for it, no matter what they have to face because they will face it together.
The banter, the spice, the story its all phenomenal!
And the cameos of other Rach characters i love so much!?!?!? It made my heart so freaking happy!!
This is the 3rd and final book in this series and it did not disappoint. Raven and her men go through more battles than ever and having secrets revealed and the mafia after them they have to band together with some help from the crews and the thieves. I loved this book. It kept me hooked from the beginning and even throughout all the challenges you couldn’t help but love the characters. The love Ander, Zavier , Logan and Reid have for Raven is off the charts and the group scenes are pure fire, they always put her first and make sure she gets the future she wants. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves why choose dark romance with some street crews and mafia thrown in.
What a finish to the latest series of books written by RE Bond the culmination for being hooked and dragged into the final book. The way the guys come together to protect and love raven is amazing after all they go through. The reason the mafia is after them is finally found out and it’s a twist that you don’t wanna miss. The way other characters from different series but the same world culminated in this made you want to read the other books. Also you can’t miss the friendship that’s made from two characters you wouldn’t expect to be in the same vicinity at all makes you want to say hold up what but makes it worth it. Love this and the twists and turns is amazing
The third and final book in the heights series, this book was chaotic and full on, like most of bonds books.
We jumped straight back in from where we left off in book two, even in the position raven was in she didn’t back down.
Relationships broke while others mended, we got more involved with the crews and got to see Rory a lot more in this book which made my heart so happy.
I really loved this book, I loved the twists and turns. I loved finally seeing raven and the guys overcome every bad thing they had been dealt in their lives and seeing them all finally find a purpose.
A great last book for the trilogy, R.E. Bond never disappoints.
Raven and her guys were out of this world, mafia playing a huge part in this incredible story. Love when Rory from the original (watch me burn series) and the gang get together and play their parts well.
Being part of Ravens journey was everything, a world of poverty, trying to climb out of the never ending cycle of drugs, Seggs work and violence. Some of these characters made this story special in ways that had either your emotions playing havoc or feel a strong connection.
R.E. Bond you did it again with these epic stories, the characters and the all around entertainment. 10/10 as always. Highly recommend.
Ooooh boy. Life has been seriously rough for me as of late. Without thinking, I JUMPED into this book, ready to face the flames. It hit hard. I had to stop for a couple days, not realizing I was going to have such a visceral reaction.
Bond knows how to write a traumatic experience. It's difficult to do in a way that is both entertaining and respectful. Finding entertainment in something so upsetting is it's own devil, but here it wasn't the difficult scenario itself that did so, it was the way the story and the characters were able to recover and rebuild from the torment.
A fact based fiction, that even through the worst of life's trials, we can rebuild. Persevere, grow, and cleanse ourselves of the filth. We continue to be beautiful, even when ugly surrounds us.
The last book left us wanting, and once again RE Bond delivers! Raven and her boys have gone through so many trials and tribulations through this series. This book they still will but it will be worth it in the end. The love they have for eachother and the towns people warms my heart. There’s a thin line inbetween love/hate not only inbetween themselves but also people they care about etc. Life is still hard for them but they persevere. Never a disappointment to read anything RE Bond writes and the ending to a series of hers I never want to see come to and end but unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Would deff read this series over and over again! Highly recommended.
What an amazing way to finish out another great series! While I’m heartbroken to see this part of the story come to an end, I can’t wait to see what’s next. Raven and her guys had such perfect chemistry that no matter what came their way they always kept pushing. This book brings plenty of heartbreak, grief, love, healing, spice, and action to keep you completely enveloped until the very end. While I did want more for the end, I think that may be my greedy side showing. This book was perfectly written and I will most likely read the whole series again very soon🖤
Picks up where R.E. left us hanging which I said before was just wrong. Lol Anyway we pick up Raven is with Dante. This is the end of the series and so much happens. They have much to work through. But Raven and her guys have taken us on quite the journey. This did not disappoint and gives us twists and the relationship between the characters amps up to the next level. I loved everything from interaction with past characters to the chemistry with the MCs. Great trilogy that Iam sad to see end.
Action, passion and look at her and 🎲 vibes! Fabulous read!
What a fabulous ending to a series! R.E. Bond has created a wonderful cast of characters in an extended world and Raven and her crew of Men were no exception! I love how protective Raven's men are of her and how they fight tooth and nail to keep her safe. Then, add in the layer of love and protectiveness that Rory and her family feel for Raven just gives you all the feels. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat through the roller coaster of life in The Heights!
What a finish! Starting right where book 2 ended, thank god because that cliffy was WILD, it moves on to giving us what we needed to know. Book 3 is wrapped up nicely, after all the drama and antics of course, but we get everything we’re looking for. RE writes some of the hottest group scenes known to man. Definitely my favourite parts hahaha But her characters and plot are top tier. Constantly developing, growing, and changing in the best ways. Sad to see these guys go but as we’ve seen other characters pop in here, I’m sure we’ll see them again in passing!!
Filthy Liar is the third and final book in The Heights trilogy. This is a dark why choose romance that may contain content that is sensitive to some so please check the trigger warnings before reading. This trilogy must be read in order to fully experience and enjoy the story and characters. Filthy Liar picks up right where the 2nd book, Broken Promises, ends. Raven finds herself facing Dante’s anger until she is rescued. Unfortunately the threats don’t end there when you have the Italian Mafia after you. With the backing of new and old friends, will Raven, Reid, Zavier, Logan and Ander be able to overcome these threats? I was captivated from the start and couldn’t put it down, always on the edge, needing to know what happened next. So grab your snacks, drinks, anything else you may need and settle in for an emotional rollercoaster full of secrets, truths, danger, fear, heartache, love and tons of spice!!! Fantastic end to the trilogy and hope we get to see these characters in future books!!!
Raven and her guys have been trying so hard to figure out how to be together for so long. Between drugs, kidnappings, murder, underground fights, car races, three .... or is it 5?? gangs trying to work together, but also not, they have all come across a few road blocks... each. I'm kinda sad to see it end, but it's not like we don't know where to find them. This might be my favorite of Rach's.. but it's a hard pick. As with all her other books, it is a definite re-read!
-found family -whychoose -brothers best friends -friends to lovers -it’s always been her -enemies to lovers -mafia prince
oh goodness ander wtf man could you seriously just STOPPP being a fucking IDIOTTTT!! men...amirite??? jesus!! but this crew is so so hot & nasty & i love all the cameos we got of our whole watch me burn universe! i can't believe how far our girl rory has come & what she's doing for raven & all these other characters makes me so happy!!
And here it is, the epic conclusion to The Heights!
We reunite with Raven and her guys as we try to evade Ander's POS of a father. And everything else going on in and around the heights. But things are starting to look up for Raven, Reid, Logan, Zavier and Ander. Rory and her guys are much more prevalent in this book and if you read this series, you will understand why.
I am so sad to be leaving Raven and her guys but I sure hope there are more books in this universe!
Wahhhh I’m so sad this series is over. I loved Raven , Reid , Zavier , Logan and Ander. Oh and the rest of the crews too. The banter was hilarious between everyone and the excitement was so on point too. A lot of epic scenes throughout this book I was so addicted I couldn’t stop reading lol WTG R.E Bond for yet another incredible series. Thank you I can’t to see what she has up her sleeves next.
Filthy Liar is the third & final book in the trilogy & OOOOF did Re Bond end this trilogy with a banger.
If you like suspense, angst, why choose & Dark romances…. CHECK THIS ONE OUT. I stayed up all night reading this one and will for sure be a series I reread in the future. I’ve read every book RE Bond has released to date and I truly love how she connects all her books and that you can see previous characters in the books.
Things I loved: I loved the relationship that Raven and the guys grew to have with Rory and her kids.
THE BANTER. If theres one thing this author knows how to do & thats the banter and the smutty scenes👏🏼
Character development!!!
Again, hands down I loved this trilogy and highly recommend.
Rachel!!! You can’t stop! I need this world in my life! 😭😭😭
This is the final book in the Heights trilogy and Rach did an amazing job of tying everything up in a nice little bow.
I loved seeing Raven, Logan, Reid, Zavier, and Ander’s relationship blossom despite the cliffy we were left hanging off of with the last book.
And make sure you have a fan and a BIG glass of ice water next to you when you read the group scenes y’all cuz hot dang! 🥵🥵🥵
I got to see all my OG men from the Watch Me Burn series. I’m still trying to convince Rachel to mail them to me in a big crate but she’s being greedy. 🤣🤣🤣
