In the City's shadows, Marcus Bear and his friends stumble upon a childhood relic; a seemingly innocent book penned by Marcus himself. But innocence fades as the book's eerie magic starts to reshape their reality, foretelling a grisly ending for one of them.

The price for Sienna's safely demands a sacrifice of his sanity. forcing him to plunge deeper and come to terms with the evils lurking within himself.
dark romance readers, come collect your next morally grey book boyfriend: marcus bear
he rides a motorcycle, unalives someone, is good with kids, into power play, and cares deeply for his girl and friends.
this book was my first time reading magical realism and i'm glad it's for me because missing out on this read would've been a huge mistake. amber's writing is magnificent. the story was suspenseful and fascinating. i'm incredibly invested in this group of friends and looking forward to book two.
I read this on pre-release as an arc review, and i love love loved it. For a debut novel i was pleasantly surprised! I am a sucker for a possessive, morally-grey MMC and Marcus is definitely that! I also loved that the smut was slow burn and didn’t overtake the story which tends to happen a lot in dark romance now.
The book does end on a cliffhanger and we aren’t told exactly why the book is magical but the author did hint at a higher understanding of that in the next book!
The side characters were a nice contrast and I particularly warmed to Skylar and Dean!
Marcus is definitely a complex character and i felt for him a lot during the book. He suffered a lot through many parts of his life and it all tied in well to his treatment of Sienna. I’m excited for the second book and i’m definitely going to lose sleep worrying what’s going to happen to poor Sienna!!
Definitely recommend and from an actual writing perspective it was super well-written and I truly didn’t expect that from a debut novel! Very well done and thank you so much for choosing me for ARC

I started this book yesterday morning expecting to read it through the holiday period, but here I am writing a review less than 48 hours later! I started late last night and couldn’t put it down, fast forward to this morning and it‘a the first thing that came to mind. I don’t think I’ve ever connected with a character like Marcus before. The emotion portrayed in this book is so touching. I’m so happy to say that this book was my first ever ARC read and I can’t wait to read the sequel. Would give it ten stars if I could.
"CONSEQUENCES" by Amber Fawn derive as a surprising work, it has captivated me with its gripping tale and sharp elaboration of human nature! Fawn's adept handling of the story has drawn me into a realm where reality is elusive, and the repercussions of one's choices loom large! . Together with the mysterious shadows of the City, Marcus Bear and his companions stumble upon a childhood relic: a seemingly innocent book authored by Marcus himself! Yet, innocence swiftly dissipates as the book's eerie enchantment takes hold, reshaping their world and ominously portending a grim destiny for one among them! . Fawn leaves readers on the edge of their seats with a cliffhanger ending, hinting at a deeper understanding of the book's magical enchantment yet to be unveiled. As Marcus grapples with his demons and the fate of his beloved Sienna hangs in the balance, I found myself emotionally invested in the unfolding drama! Fawn's writing resonates with raw emotion, capturing the essence of human frailty and resilience with unparalleled finesse! . Amidst the turmoil, Marcus confronts longstanding emotions for Sienna, culminating in a poignant moment of passion tinged with fear and doubt. Driven by desperation, Marcus commits a chilling act of obsession, staining his hands crimson and igniting a sequence of riveting events! Everyone is younger than me ....sobs The time when they were escaping from cops the only music that was going through my head was "Unforgettable" by French Montana.
"Sweet, as long as I have breath in my lungs and a beat in my heart, everything I do is for you. You are my life, and I’m not going anywhere."
"You may not be my girlfriend, Sienna, but you are mine. In every sense of the word."
Marcus is such a red flag, I Love It.
"Who said anything about control? I don't want to control you, sweet. I want to worship you. To explore every inch of your body until you're begging me for release. I want to give you pleasure like you've never experienced before." Chapter 24 WHAT??? He gave her what??? I NEED A MARCUS IN MY LIFE
Wait!!!!!! Will you just leave hanging me like that??????

Great book! A very emotional and immersive story and the characters and their dynamics were absolutely wonderful. I found myself hooked from the very beginning, very hard to put down. Lovely job.
THIS BOOK WAS MY FIRST FIVE STAR READ OF 2024 AND TO ANYONE WHO LOVES MORALLY GREY MEN, MARCUS BEAR IS FOR YOU!

Amber managed to write best biker boy x book girl novel, one of the most trending tropes currently on tiktok and instagram.
I had very high expectations because of how everyone promotes this certain trope and I was looking for the perfect book to represent what I had imagined for it. With no doubt, Amber managed to exceed my expectations and blow me away.
The book is very well written, kept me on my toes the whole time and didn’t have any boring parts.
You can really see the progress of the relationship of the main characters and themselves as individuals.
I read the book really quickly, as it kept my attention the whole time.
I really recommend you read this book, as I think it will be one your best reads this year.
Amber Fawn is a new author, making her debut in 2024 with this novel “Consequences”. I really enjoy her writing style and she carried out what she wanted to do, perfectly. I hope to see more of her work soon and expect it to be as good as this novel!

Where do I even start!? This story is gripping, and the way it's told is magical. 🌟 Once you start, you can't put it down! It's a solid 5-star read. 💗 The plot concept is super fun; discovering a book from the past that predicts the future is every book lover's dream. ❤️
The group of friends, particularly Skylar and Dean, stole my heart with their diversity and camaraderie. The characters and their interactions are utterly captivating, drawing you in from page one. 🌸
The romance between Marcus and Sienna is intense and emotional. 🤭❤️The dark romance vibe kicks in halfway through, accompanied by significant character development for Marcus.
Throughout the narrative, the themes of trauma and darkness are masterfully intertwined, adding depth and intensity. 🥹"Consequences" is a must-read, marking Amber Fawn as an author worth following. If you're a fan of dark romance or thrilling narratives, this book is a perfect fit! ⭐️🌷
I’m conflicted on how to rate this book i really liked the book a lot once it got to 60% mark but the first half was just odd and rushed and generally all over the place the book its self is short with a ton going on so it was hard to connect and feel invested the first half
The story is told single POV from Marcus the mmc the entire book and pretty much jumps right into introducing all the side characters who are important and get told basic of their traumatic backgrounds that all link them together including the fmc and love interest Sienna who Marcus lets it be known right away he’s basically been obsessed with her from the moment he met her and is madly in love with her but she’s a bit hot and cold with him due to her trauma but we don’t get much of the friendship interactions and seeing the bound they share outside of Marcus and Skylar (very much brother sister vibes don’t worry this isn’t a love triangle) or much of the romance element until like the 55-60% mark because the first half is just hectic with a lot going on and a bit too soon
But at about 50ish percent the dark romance comes to play and shit gets really good I guess the best way to describe it is the character we think we know does like a 180 and becomes who he really is which is a psycho 💀 the romance at this point I started to really vibe with and see the chemistry and love vs it just being talked about if that makes sense the magic element also started to get more intriguing at this point and overall story just flowed better imo
There’s a character introduced that you think is gonna cause drama and stir the pot and I mean in a way she does at end in unclear way because the book ends on cliffhanger so you aren’t really sure what exactly happened but I kind of wish we got more of this character not because I liked her but I think she could have made a good villain type role for not just the romance but for the group as a whole especially given the role she played in the magic book plot
Im definitely intrigued to see where book two takes this story and hope the author will dive in more to the showing us the backstory and how they became so closely woven and of course most importantly the romance between Marcus and Sienna 🫶🏾 oh and the whole why this random like one page story from an 11 year old Marcus is magical lol that whole bit hasn’t been explained at all

loved this book! just want to start by saying that i’ve never read a book with this style of writing and character introduction, nor have i ever read magical realism before, but wow. i finished this book in one sitting. one. i just couldn’t put it down. loved the british vibes
the relationship was (although very dark at times) actually really sweet *pun intended* and emotional.
i found marcus to be particularly interesting and the way his breakdown was written specifically was so moving and emotional. it was almost as if i’d watched the characters grow up
lots of trauma, lots of graphic (and gory at times) description but i honestly love gory books. the darker the better.
if you’re looking for something new and fresh with some dark themes and a hint of magic then definitely read this book!
OMG, okay, so you guys HAVE to hear about "CONSEQUENCES"! It's like, seriously the best book ever! I mean, it totally goes beyond anything you'd expect from a first-time author! The story is just sooo gripping, and the way it's told is like magic! You're hooked from the very beginning, like I couldn't even put it down! It has earned a solid 5-star rating from me without a second thought! From the moment I cracked open the spine, I was completely fangirling over every twist and turn of the plot. . First off, can we talk about the plot concept? Super fun doesn't even begin to cover it! I mean, discovering a book from the past that the main character wrote, only for it to turn into this magical tome that predicts the future? It's like every book lover's dream come true, and Fawn absolutely nailed it with this brilliant idea. But it's not just the magical elements that had me hooked; it's the misfit group of friends that stole my heart. I adored the diversity among them and how fiercely loyal they were to each other, even if they did butt heads from time to time. Their bond, forged in the fires of a children's home, was something truly special. . And let's not forget about Skylar—oh my goodness, she was the absolute best! Kind, fun, and so understanding, she's the kind of friend we all need in our lives. And then there's Dean—hot doesn't even begin to cover it. The characters and their dynamics were simply wonderful, and I found myself completely engrossed from the very first page. Seriously, I could not put this book down! . I devoured this book in record time—it was just that good. Trust me when I say, this is definitely going to be one of your best reads this year. Amber Fawn is a debut author to watch out for, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. If "CONSEQUENCES" is any indication, we're in for a real treat!
"CONSEQUENCES" by Amber Fawn totally blew my mind! The way she tells the story, focusing on Marcus and his journey, is just incredible. You get to know Marcus so well as the story goes on, and it's like peeling back layers of secrets and emotions. And OMG, the characters! They're all connected through these intense pasts that totally affect who they are now. Sienna, especially, is like this enigma wrapped in mystery, and Marcus is just head over heels for her, even though she's dealing with so much from her past. It's, like, so intense and emotional! . In the first part of the story, things are like super intense, right? We're diving deep into these characters' lives and how they're all connected, and it's kind of crazy! But then, around halfway through, that's when stuff gets REALLY good. Like, seriously, buckle up! . This whole dark romance vibe starts creeping in, and Marcus? Oh boy, he goes through some major changes. You're, like, seeing a whole new side of him, and it's kind of dark and mysterious, but also totally captivating! You're just glued to the pages, wanting to know what's going to happen next! . As the romance between Marcus and Sienna unfurls, its authenticity becomes palpable, with riveting mere dialogue to manifest in the unspoken chemistry between them. Likewise, the allure of the magical element deepens, drawing readers further into its enigmatic grasp and propelling the narrative forward with renewed intrigue! . I rate "CONSEQUENCES" by debut author Amber Fawn a solid five stars and highly recommend it to every avid reader of dark romance, thriller, and magical realism genres because the plot boasts an intriguing and captivating thrill that keeps your heart and brain melting with anticipation and excitement!

ˋ•⁀➷Review: ⋆Consequences by @amberfawnauthor ⋆★★★★/5 ➵➴This was my first ever arc, and i was really lucky to receive one. In the starting of the book i was introduced to each character and their personality, which i find very nice because i often get confused with characters. ➵➴The story starts of them breaking in the orphanage, and going through their adoption papers.I really bonded towards Dean and how he was such a bad boy but a softie for delilah.I loved skylar and how goofy she was, her family are such sweets, i didn't like marcus dad very much. What made it better was it had the biker boy x book girl trope. I was a bit shocked at the stuff Marcus did, but we all love a psycho mc. ➵➴The story was really fast paced, i felt like everything was going really fast, but if you like a bit of magical realism then you should read this book.
⋆"I know you like the back of my hand, and you have me in the palm of yours" 🏍
Consequences is One of the Best Romance I ever read. I eat this book up , The plot that Amber creating keep hooking me in and Intriguing me to keep flip page to page.
I rarely reread a book cause I already know all the detail but With “ Consequences “ , Every time I read, I always find new detail that I haven’t Know before that Not many Authors can do that . And This is just Amber Debut Book, She is so so Talented, She is now my officially is my favorite and my Auto Buy Author.
And Marcus and Sienna chemistry is over the top, Their love just my kind of love . I love them both in individual and as couple. Dear Friends, I now have new husband and obsessed, and his name is Marcus. I wish I can have some one love me like Marcus love Sienna.
Highly Highly recommended Reading This Amazing Book. You won’t regret this !!!
I feel the potential Amber girl, but as a girly with ADHD, I feel like a fellow ADHD wrote this, lol. It just felt like everything was rushed and not expanded on well enough. The tension between Marcus and Sienna is chef kisses and that sexy scene. OMFG! But I am left with nothing but questions. It just feels like you threw us in the middle of a story. I had to look up multiple times if this was book two to a series or something.
I give this a two stars because, like I said, I can see the potential in the book, and I'm interested to see where book two goes and see if the writing gets better, but as of right now, I'm kind of let down a bit.
This was my first ever ARC read and the first time i have even bothered to leave a review. I never thought a book that combines two of my favourite genres could possibly exist, but then i found amber. AMBER!!! i am SO excited to see what comes next. PART II, HELLO???
'I want to worship you. To explore every inch of your body until you're begging me for release.' AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP AND DYING. GET ME A MAN LIKE M NOW!
IDK how to even explain how i feel about this book. the story got so dark and yet it felt like such a light read. this was just such a refreshing read. and marcus and sienna holy- 🔥😭 i’m so happy that they weren’t cringey and i love that the smut scene had NORMAL WORDS FOR BODY PARTS AND SEXUAL ACTS FINALLY. miss amber fawn girly this was genuinely so good for a debut.
Book review Rating:5/5 Omg he rides motorcycles I was literally hooked since I have a thing for bikers and he good with kids and also cares deeply for his girl and friends. I felt so connected toward both of them this book was amazing you had me on my toes the whole time like I wanted to know what’s going to happen like chefs kiss.
⭐3.75 I'm so glued to this series already like the way it's written and the suspense is 👩🍳💋 I absolutely love the friendship group so much!! And I'm so excited to see them in the next book. THE ENDING OMGGGGG Marcus is really giving everything he's a little insane and good with kids what more could you want??? Sienna is actually the cutest ever. I LOVE HER she's just ughhhh 😍
The story is about friends who met each other in an orphanage/Foster care home. The introduction of each character is done beautifully 😍 Love the twists introduced in the story ✨ Adore Sienna and Marcus 🫶🏻 This book is going to be worth all the patience though. If you're into magical realism, this is the perfect book for you.
ALSO, Marcus and Dean are perfect morally grey men introduced in this magical story🖤 Sienna and Delilah are complete sweetheart ✨ And Skylar and Birdie are filled with sass🌶️
The idea of the plot was great, I liked how the characters were connected, it felt nostalgic and reminded me of Skins, but I don’t know if the author is British or not but some of the language used by characters in their dialogue didn’t fit their age/background and the description of locations sounded like the author had never been to the UK. In parts the story felt very very rushed and I had lots of unanswered questions. There were points where I had to go back and re-read bits as I thought I’d missed something, but it just wasn’t included. I feel like it just needed a few more drafts before publishing but I love the idea of the plot and hopefully we get more filler content during the second book!
