read until: chapter 123 [completed] + 8 side story (completed)
this manga made me cry unexpectedly. i thought the duke would be a shitty dad, turns out his daughter has him wrapped around his fingers but due to some unfortunate event, he couldn’t express his love for her. what’s worst is that the duke’s wife is dead and he can’t forget the happy memories, so the grief that he has been experiencing this whole time has just been weighing on his mind. can we bring back the wife too??! jubelian and max are such endearing characters. like with her father, jubelian has max wrapped around her fingers. he’s an absolute blushing, shy cat in front of her while a devil when facing others. i loved the interactions between max and legis as well. with legis's protectiveness, he can never let his daughter be with someone unworthy, even if that person is his disciple.
overall, i totally had a great time. i wished legis and amelia had a better life together and that jubelian had a better childhood growing up. nonetheless, i wish them eternal happiness. they’ve been through too much.
