Amanda Hocking sweeps us away into the enchanting kingdom of Wespen, where music, magic, and romance collide. Isadore Dellamousa is a gifted muse chosen to perform at royal festivals, but behind all the glamour lies a life controlled by her overbearing mother and haunted by secrets she never asked for.
Enter Soren Tomoleo—mysterious, charming, and oh-so-enchanting. From the moment he steps on the page, the chemistry between him and Isadore practically crackles with magic. Their dances and performances together are spellbinding, but it’s the blossoming romance that had me hooked. Sweet, swoony, and just a little rebellious, Soren quickly became my favorite part of the story.
On the flip side, Isadore’s mother? What an absolute nightmare. Selfish, manipulative, and downright cruel—I couldn’t stand her. She made me want to throw my headphones a few times, which is a testament to how well Hocking writes her villains.
I listened to the audiobook, and it was such a delight. The narrator brought the magic, music, and romance to life, making the story even more immersive.
If you love a magical setting, starry-eyed romance, and a heroine struggling between duty and desire, Muse is definitely worth the listen. Sweet, magical, and romantic—it felt like a fairytale with just the right amount of drama.

The general story was enjoyable as most of this authors books usually are. However, I did find this book to have been rushed, and that there are mistakes within the book as well as overall confusion with Wrenley.
