My name is Damian, and a bratty elf summoned me to another world as a Level 1 Peon to fight and die on her behalf in a clan war.
Completely by accident, I escaped servitude, leveled up, and even changed my class to Card Mage. Now I’m dating a sexy cat girl, sleeping my way into demon high society, and hunting for rare cards with the hope of one day becoming the Card King. Imagine my shock when a busty elf princess gives me a card so powerful, it’s been banned by the gods!
A deckbuilding LitRPG isekai men's fantasy adventure!
I experienced physical pain reading this because my eyes kept rolling so hard and I didn’t even finish the book!!
Honestly this easily jumped into the top 5 of worst books I’ve ever read. I made it about 50% of the book and just couldn’t anymore.
The entire book is written like a power fantasy of the most neck bearded incel ever! There’s basically no plot, just card hunting, dollar menu Dom sex scenes, and really awful attempts at humor. I genuinely wish the author had used AI to write this, the computer would’ve done better.
I bailed on this one at around page 45. I didn't connect with the MC, and I felt the first woman he meets is basically a hand-out.
Also, I really hate when authors use Earth/English terms with characters not from here. The catgirl talks about how their shared class was "nerfed". A term coined by gamers on Earth, Why a being from another dimension would use the term "nerf" is beyond me.
Weird and wacky isekai world full of magic and classes and even a respawn system, so death isn't permanent... But there are still consequences for breaking the law. Nobody wants to be "reset"
The book was fun, quirky and zany, with interesting concepts like Card Mages and a little imp companion with a twisted sense of humour.
Quite enjoyed the book, but one star off because some areas are glossed over or ignored in favour of "game mechanics". The arbiters sound more like game Devs than actual Gods, which can be fun in some ways, but other aspects haven't been executed well.
I think this series could do well with a bit more refinement. Will look forward to book 2!
This book will keep me asking why. Why does the MC think he can treat people badly and then be surprised when other people are treated badly. Why does the world bend over backwards to help the MC. This just felt bad all around.
I enjoyed the books concept and the writers execution of it. The writer does not weigh down the story with unnecessary details or spend inordinate time on moral quandaries. The characters are a boat load of fun!
Did not finish. The writing was really bad, the characters were flat and every conversation is either an info dumb or a handful of snarky comments that somehow count as a “conversation.”
