What My Sister Told Me after She Was Murdered: A Shared Journey of Transformation

Teresa needs to tell Annie who killed her.

Annie Lisa and Dr. Teresa Sievers are more than sisters. They’re best friends and confidantes, united in their spiritual beliefs and passion to bring new age thinking and alternative healing into the mainstream fold. During a sisters’ weekend, synchronistic events leave Annie and Teresa with an undeniable understanding that they are meant to support humanity in a profound way. But before they can figure out what they’re supposed to do, Dr. Teresa Sievers is murdered when she returns home from a family vacation in June of 2015.

Teresa continues to reassure Annie that her consciousness has survived death and remains committed to their planetary purpose. But first she must protect Annie and the two children she left behind. Teresa must tell Annie who murdered her.

In this unusual memoir where true crime is the catalyst for spiritual enlightenment, Annie, a self-proclaimed spiritual teacher, uses humor, anecdotes and her experience communicating with dead people to distill the intangible and make the unbelievable believable. All the while, Teresa guides Annie in extraordinary ways to understand their divine duty to help awaken humanity at this precarious time on the planet.

Couldn’t put this down. The connection these two sisters share is beautiful. Shifted my perspective on many things.

Interesting reading as this book has a local tie. Annie and Teresa were sisters who had a strong bond despite Annie being about five years older. Teresa always seemed wise beyond her years. She became a MD in Florida with an interest in a more holistic medicine approach that she was adding to her practice with great success. She was married with two children. When she was found murdered the investigation showed her husband had a connection to her death. Rather than centering on the murder investigation, the book delves into the profound spiritual and emotional bond between the sisters. Annie shares how Teresa, even after death, continues to guide her through intuitive messages and spiritual signs. Some may find it a little different read if they are looking for a story about Dr. Sievers’ murder.

This was an amazing read. I happened to be at a bookstore where the author was there and signing copies of her book. After speaking with her about the book, I knew it was something I wanted to read. The amazing connection that these sisters had/have in this book is beyond amazing. I was amazed by the validation the author would receive from her sister once she was killed. The greater mission was what these two sisters work towards during this book which was amazing. This was an incredible story and helped me see the side of peace after losing a loved one. This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone seeking deeper connections and how to connect with loved ones that have crossed over from life to death. I would never have known about this book if I hadn't met the author in the store so I find no coincidence that we met and I purchased this book.

I heard about this book from a podcast: Disembodied is a non-religious podcast hosted by E.V. Escher that explores secular and practical spiritual traditions, mindfulness, and meditation. Episode 296: Interview with Annie Lisa. I loved hearing the interview and right away wanted to follow up with the book they touched on. Yes, the title is click-bait-ish, but it also mirrors the author's own straight-foward style. I got the book on Kindle and could not put it down. To be continued....
