Jon Colt is a novelist based in Edinburgh, known for his debut book, What Happened Next.
Writing has always been his passion, and he draws inspiration from the likes of Stephen King, James Herbert and Dan Brown.
When he's not writing, he can be found walking his charcoal labrador, Ringo, re-watching TV shows such as Breaking Bad, Mr Robot or What We Do in the Shadows, reading, or playing the guitar.
As is the norm for the series, Find the Devil continues straight on from the ending of book 2. Milo and Becca are slowly coming to terms with the events that led to the book 2 finale, but there is dissension in the ranks - some of Malcolm's followers have survived and are looking for revenge.
I thoroughly enjoy this instalment of the series. The author does not shy away from tough topics, nor does he dampen down the vivid and often gruesome descriptions of some of the more violent events in the story. I was particularly interested in the snippets of chapters we got from some new characters on the outside of the DLC, in this book we start to get an understanding of what may have gone wrong with the vaccine although it's mostly just teasers for now.
Towards the end of the book, during the 'action/excitement' there is an accidental name switch between 2 characters which took me a moment to figure out but was easy enough understand. There's also some loss of continuity but not enough that it detracted from the story in any way.
Wow, just wooowww. I've loved the other two books and I didn't think they could get any better but this one is! I finished it so quickly and now eagerly awaiting the next book. Thank you Jon Colt for creating yet another amazing book! Can't wait for your new series too! (P.s. big fan)
