October 25, 2025I had the hardest time getting into this one. I should've dnf'ed it at like 20%. The errors in the writing were annoying as well.

Ashley and Christophe have been through hell but they’ve always had each other to keep them strong. Once they’re rescued they have to deal with so much trauma and outside influences.
Overall this was a really enjoyable story. We not only follow our main MCs on their journey, but we see lots of Chance and Emery and Chael and Reese. I was glad to see the Ashley and Christophe overcome their battles and Christophe right his wrongs. Because of his past you can imagine there is a good amount of angst in this book. I loved how Mike, Ms. Elsie, and even Chance treated Christophe. I was not a fan of Emery and Chael, especially Emery. I understand that’s your baby sister and you’re protective but to me she was doing too much, she was doing more than the people who actually experienced what happened. I wanted an apology to Christophe (not just the mention of it).
The final showdown was great and really had me rooting for Christophe although I’m not sure how the elders knew their plan would work. What if he’d taken someone else?
I’m not sure if we’ll visit this world again or not, but I would’ve liked an epilogue further into the future to see everyone with kids, settled into their roles, etc. now that they seem to have opened up more to each other.
Overall another good read, I think Chance’s book is still my favorite of the series, but still good.

Enjoyable book. I’m not sure if this a conclusion of the Night wolf pack, but I’m happy with that if it is. As much as the leads were interesting and their development, I was waaaay more intrigued by Ms. Elsie. I think this stems from reading about her through the other books. I could not get enough of that woman. Emery really pushed me to my limit and I wanted her to take several seats. Overall, I liked the Nightwolf pack.

It’s the series' fourth book, and the story continues, particularly for Christophe and Ashley “Clarke” Nightwolf. We previously touched on what happened to Christophe and Ashley while being captive. Christophe and Ashley find solace in each other while enduring vicious situations. However, their story takes a rather fascinating turn once our main couple is rescued. In addition to dealing with the trauma, Christophe Nightwolf, with the intense reactions of the Nightwolf clan due to his previous crimes, especially his family. Only a few people don’t give him a frosty reception like Ashley.
Speaking of Ashley, she is determined to learn more about her family and find her place among the Nightwolf clan. In addition, there is a quest of finding the captors and get so much-needed answers.
I won’t disclose too much of the story, but I will say the author took readers on an emotional ride. I think one of the things that Christophe and Ashley had to prove themselves to their respective siblings for different reasons. Also, there was humor, steamy romance, and emotional moments. There were a few times when a few characters tried my patience at certain moments, I did understand their reasoning.
Christophe and Ashley also brought out something good in each other. Despite some major hindrances, among other things, our couple did eventually get their HEA. I really enjoyed this story and this series overall.

I was extremely excited to read book 4, but unfortunately, it may be my least favorite of the series. Ashley was so focused on Christophe and his 'innocence' that her character seemed selfish and weak. Her constant sneaking around and keeping secrets from the pack that welcomed her with open arms also rubbed me wrong. I had very little empathy or connection with either of them and ultimately just wanted to know who Dr. X and his cronies were. Overall, a good series; however, book 4 felt long and unfulfilling.

As someone who has loved this series throughout, this book is the weakest link, and I'm not talking about the hero being an omega.
The writing itself is fine, but the story is poorly composed, a bit disjointed and highly unsatisfying. The setting hardly changes. There is no strong tension, high stakes or interesting interactions. It's pretty boring, basic and uneventful with flat, boring characters to boot. Truly, it makes me think the writer either was in a rush and did no revisions or AI wrote the story; it has no heart, no spark and had nothing on the other books in this series. Now, those ones were full of twists and turns, not convenient wrap ups and a whole lot of steady going nowhere events.
This book has virtually no cute moments. No special lines or moments to highlight. No relationship building. It's very one-note.
For one, Ashley is all about Christophe. "Christophe, Christophe!" She's lost the personality Emery hyped us up to seeing in her book, and is spends most of the book pining and chasing after him, even when he ignores her and treats her dismissively. It doesn't matter to me if it's his insecurity doing it; he still does it. And she may get mad, but the fact of the matter is, she chases this man throughout the book. She is so male-centered; when could've seen more bonding moments with her sister, her dealing with the prison trauma, but no it's all just about seeing Christophe. She is also supposed to be an outcast but instantly has friends in the new pack.
Personality wise, the hero is alright, but his growth arc feels incomplete and disjointed. He's supposed to be an omega, but starts acting more bold and alpha-like, without explanation, although his instincts should be opposite. The pack comforter, not fighter, but he starts to kill with no remorse. That's not really addressed.
After the first 200 pages, the dull, repetitiveness improves. It starts to pick up pace, but it still ends up being a let-down and still not all too exciting and cookie-cutter in how it plays out.
More random points to explain my dislike:
The men start sounding and acting the same with their mates. You could swap out their names and there would be no difference.
They're all sexist, controlling and annoying men, at least how they're represented in this book.
The brothers are shown to have some passing bonding moments, but not really, and they never acknowledge that the hero has a mate or talk about it. They're even still sneaking around the whole time!
They don't even talk about trying to fix his "eye problem" until it's mentioning in passing in one sentence at the end of the book about trying. Why did reversing it not occur to anyone?
No one is likeable anymore besides Miss Elsie, who just read like a perfect, flawless caricature. Emery was terrible in this book, and I had loved her before. She is manipulative and unsupportive of her sister in this story.
The ending really doesn't improve things. It's actually super convenient and one of the biggest issues in the book is resolved without ANY explanation. Just poof - magic. If this was the first in a series that wasn't part of such a rock-solid, amazing series, I wouldn't be so let down. But with all the other ones as context, this was truly disappointing.
So, this one should be skipped...or better yet, unpublished and rewritten.

Whew, what a journey for Christophe and Ashley.
We’ve met Christophe Nightwolf in Book 1 since he is the adopted brother of Chael and Chance. In Book 4 we find Christophe in prison- in a shifter prison but it looks like he’s in something a bit deeper than that. There he meets Ashley (mentioned in book 2) and he can’t fight the connection that he has with her no matter how hard he tries.
Ashley- new to the shifter world finds herself in the prison due to her raggedy arse “parents” (book2). She went to seek info on her history and those clowns betrayed her. (read book 2 to see what happens to them. You’re gonna want to tussle).
Ashley and Christophe are rescued by Chance, Chael and the Alpha’s in book 3 (thanks to their mate being taken). From there Ashley and Christophe embark on their journey of acceptance, heal from the trauma caused during their imprisonment along with find the people who want to harm shifters.
Christophe’s fight for redemption for what he did back in book 1(go read it if you haven’t) came full circle for him and I am glad that he redeemed himself. He redeemed himself in a big way- not only to those he wronged and his redemption plays a big part in the shifter world.
Tiffany will take you through the emotions and have you on the edge of your seat as you find out who was behind the chaos in this series. There’s humor, suspense, and of course steamy moments. A few of the siblings worked my nerves with their behavior because who was asking them to interfere at times. Like go on and sit down because it wasn’t long ago when you were going through.
As I ALWAYS say, I love a book where I see Black women loved down and fought for properly by her man and in this case, her omega wolf.

On another note Ashley and Christophe's story was decent. I didn't really garner strong feelings towards them either way aside from what I already mentioned here.
Other than that as well written as her books usually are. A few typos here and there.

Christophe Nightwolf is the disgraced brother of The Alpha Chael and Beta Chance. After his betrayal at the end of book 1 we didn’t know what happened but it turns out that Christophe has been held and tortured in one of the facilities that keep popping up throughout the Nightwolf Series. We start just a bit before the events at the end of Book and we get a glimpse into the relationship that Christophe and Ashley have formed communicating through the wall of their cells. They have never seen each other but they know they are bound to each other.
Ι have been waiting for Christophe Nightwolf’s story for years. Since book 1 and I have been waiting for Ashley’s story since the reveal at the end of Book 2. This book delivered on the drama, the trauma and the spice. From the moment Ashley realized she was safe she was determined to find Christophe, likewise Christophe continued to try to protect Ashley even when his mind continued to betray him. I Love a good fated mate story and this one is a fantastic read. Not only do they have to overcome their individual trauma and circumstances but they have to overcome the worst obstacle of all when just the sight of Ashley causes Christophe physical pain. Come for the romance and stay for the amazing story that Ms. Patterson has created. Great Read and my favorite of the series so far.

I have been waiting and anticipating for this book to come out and it was worth the wait. Tiffany Patterson did not disappoint!! I love this series, but Christophe and Ashley are my new favorite NightWolves. They were perfect for each other and their shared experiences and loneliness made them stronger. Christophe was introduced in the previous stories and his character was not a good wolf. His betrayal hurt and almost killed his pack. This book gave us another side to Christophe. You could feel the pain and regret he felt for his previous actions. You could also feel the pain and loneliness he endured his whole life. Ashley was what he needed and it kind of gave him a purpose and a reason to keep going. Ashley needed Christophe to help her get through the torture they endured. She SAW Christophe, the wolf shifter, were as everyone else saw him as a traitor. He needed to be seen and she needed to be heard. Together they made the most beautiful couple. This book is definitely worth the read!

Redemption and Mystery solved
This series should be read in order to fully know the characters and how everything comes together. I was curious how Christophe's story would play out. I liked the growth of his character and his newfound inner strength. I liked Ashley's tenacious nature. She and Christophe are a good balance. This story gave insight to how the lab was found, but tracking the guards and mysterious doctors was a stretch. I still do not understand why the Nightwolf pack was targeted. I would have loved an update on Sera and her father. The characters who were tortured were not really given an outlet for their trauma. Especially Christophe with the level of cruelty he endured.
Like the other books, there are multiple povs, which are helpful. The editing is still a work in progress, wrong names and words, though spotty, do exist throughout. Overall, an entertaining read, but sometimes I had to reread the descriptions. I liked the battle scenes. Finding out the mastermind was just meh. 2.5-3 stars

Tiffany did that!
The way the tension builds—ugh, when he couldn’t even look at her because of what happened? I was in despair! I’d been waiting for that moment where they’d finally see each other again and… nooooo! Tiffany, why do you do this to us?
What I love most is how their connection doesn’t just rely on physical attraction (though that’s definitely there too!). It’s the slow build—the conversations, the shared moments, the real emotional bond. You actually feel the love growing between them, and it’s so refreshing.
And of course, the pack element adds that extra level of intensity. The loyalty, the instinctual pull—it makes everything that much deeper. Tiffany always writes strong, grounded heroines and men who genuinely respect them, and this book nails that perfectly.
If you’re into slow burn, real emotional connection, and a bit of supernatural spice, Taken is a must-read. Absolutely loved it—already counting down to the next one!

A great end to the series!!! This was very climatic from the first book in the series with Chael. Christophe and Ashley had many hardships in their relationships seeing as Christophe plotted against his pack and met his mate in the shifter prison, whilst Ashley was betrayed by her adoptive parents.
They were making their relationship work whilst Ashley’s image brought a lot of pain to Christophe because he was tortured. I liked seeing them grow together, and proving everyone wrong especially the people in the pack.
All in all the storyline at the end was okay but I felt like it was bit anticlimactic, because I felt like it was lacking in something. Like being able to see their relationship blossom a bit more whilst they could experience everything in the fullness of true freedom and just because. The ending felt a bit rushed and lacked substance especially the epilogue, but because I liked the actual storyline from books 1-4, I couldn’t rate it lower.

Just when you think that someone can’t redeem themselves, you learn the full story - the why behind their actions and not just the what. How they felt before, during and after. Christophe is that someone. He did a very horrible thing that could’ve had devastating consequences. However, what he endured afterwards was beyond what any punishment should entail. He definitely learned from his mistakes, and righted his wrongs and found love and acceptance that he didn’t feel worthy of. Ashley was the outsider, didn’t ever fit in, and always craved acceptance and family. What she actually experienced was ridicule, abuse, and being ostracized. She ended up at the same torture prison as Christophe and they were each other’s only lifeline in this hell. They created a bond that exceeded friendship which made way for more. This was a great read!

Christophe and Ashley meet in one of the strangest places possible—prison. Despite having never seen each other before, they cannot help but connect during their time spent in captivity.
When they are both finally rescued, the story behind Christophe’s betrayal is slowly revealed piece by piece. As this is my first time reading a book from this series, this helps me to fully understand why Christophe is unable to envision a future with Ashley.
I loved the journey which Christophe took as he slowly works towards his redemption and obtaining forgiveness from those he has wronged, and most importantly learning to forgive himself. Ms. Elsie was also a critical part of both Christopher and Ashley’s journey, and I loved how she loves them both unconditionally.

I never cry when reading books - never until now. What an emotional ride! I had to skip to the end to make sure there was an HEA.
Christophe, the reformed traitor, had one of the best storylines I’ve read. I tried to hate him, but then ended up loving him. And the mate, Ashley, was written with great strength, purpose and loyalty.
Christophe betrayed his pack and was sentenced to jail, but was instead captured by those who wanted to destroy his kind. This is a great story about how he and Ashley, who was also captured, were able to save everyone with the help of the PAC.
I’ve read almost all Ms. Patterson’s books, but this is my new favorite - except, of course, for Aaron’s Patience. Can’t wait for the audible copy of this book.

Christophe and Ashley
I really enjoyed this book and Christophe really grew on me. I know he betrayed his pack but he didn't deserve the torture he and other shifters including his mate, Emerie's sister Ashley endured. Then to have not only the sight but thought of his mate's face bring him so much pain is heartbreaking. I like how everyone was willing to give him a second chance, some more than others. Emerge got on my nerves tho trying to keep Ashley away from Chrisophe because of his past when she wasn't even there to witness what he did. I'm glad he redeemed himself in the end.❤❤

they just keep getting better
It all started with the Townsends and evolved into a spectacular series.
I am so happy that the story was finally explained. We know what happened to Christophe and why he was the way he was. Why he did what he did.
His and Ashley's love story. That started as a tragedy and turned into a beautiful love story.
That his actions good and bad, tore him away from his brothers and his pack and then brought him back. Brought their family back together. Another sinfully sexy Nightwolf brother.

Reading this series over0
I am so happy, this was so worth the wait. I’m glad that Christophe was able to rejoin. Being the outcast is really depressing, I felt this way for awhile, sometimes when I was around others I was not me or I couldn’t be me. But the way Christophe, always made sure Ashley was safe, as a friend would say it gave me warm and cozy feelings. All 4 of theses story were great and they way it was merge to connect, you don’t lose anything. I can’t wait to see what new story you come up with because I have read them all.

Fantastic
I loved this second-chance story. It's not a typical romance because the second is with family, not his mate. These two endured a lot on their road to a happy ending and Christophe endured even more because he had to drive himself to the entire pack, deal with guilt and remorse, and attempt to resist his pull to his mate. Great characters and lots of action in this book which wraps up the Nightwolf packs' search for mastermind behind the attempts to get rid of the pack and other shifters. Great storyline!

Redemption Story!
This was a great redemption story I enjoyed. Christophe and Ashley went through so much and to have survived and find love was amazing. Ashley character as heroine standing up for her man no matter what others thought showed true character. I was glad that Chael was able to come around. Chance was needed as the mediator. I am looking forward to the next story that Tiffany writes.

I was super excited for this story and the wait did not disappoint. Christophe was very misunderstood with his pack that caused him to make decisions. I loved that this was a redemption for Christophe and his pack but also finding a mate like Ashley who helped to be a light in the chaos that he felt. Even with everything these two have been through they came out on top and had a very beautiful story. I loved this story second chances can happen.

Good ending to the Nightwolf saga. This is Christophe and Ashley’s story. When we last “saw” them, they had just been rescued from a prison where they were being tortured and experimented on. I do wish the role of an omega in the pack was explored more, but overall a good ending to the saga.
I’m hooked on Tiffany Patterson. Whether it is her paranormal stories or her contemporary romances, I am a fan. I look forward to reading more by her.

Even through their pain, their bond with each other never faltered. Ashley was determined to fight for her mate. She didn't care if her sister or anyone else approved. She wouldn't let Christophe give up on them either.

4.5⭐️! I don't know what took me so long to read this. I truly enjoyed Cristophe's redemtion story amd how Ashley loved him. Can we say they didn't play about each other? Ashley stood up for him and Christophe would kill for her. Loved their story. Ashley's sister, Emery, is the reason for the 4.5. I too am a big sister but her meddling and judgement irritated me; her apology should have been hers only, not Ashley apologizing too. All in all, a very good read.

Should have DNF’d. Same grammar/word errors as previous in the series (do you write via dictation and just not edit when the dictation app writes wonton instead of wanton? Caused instead of cost? I could go on…), but now this one had an OBNOXIOUS amount of plot inconsistencies. Name errors, role errors, both from the series but also within this actual book! Please hire an editor! Or if you did, get your money back because that person did you dirty!!!
