The instructions were clear. Go into the enemy compound and leave no one alive. My brother is the head of the family, and he makes the calls. Normally I go along with it, but not this time. I find Abruzzo’s youngest daughter, a stunning redhead, cowering under a table, and decide I want her in my cage.
Raina looked so sweet and innocent, meek and mild. Much to my surprise, she’s anything but. Playing with fire can get you burned, but somehow, I know it’ll be worth it in the end. I live life dangerously and there’s nothing more threatening than her. She is both my destruction and my salvation.

I loved how Kage picked up the consequences from Reaper instead of feeling like a completely separate story. The family dynamic and found-family feel are becoming some of my favorite parts of this series.
Kage is still unhinged, but I think he’s the softest of the three brothers so far. Raina also made sense to me. She’s had such a complicated past that I understood where she was coming from, and together they just worked.
I was sucked in from start to finish, and the narration was great. They kept up with the tone and pace very well. The narrators throughout this series have done such a good job portraying these characters that it’s easy to get completely lost in the story.
I recommend this one for readers who like interconnected mafia romance, found family, unhinged MMCs, and couples who make absolutely no sense on paper but somehow make perfect sense together.

Until he meets Raina Abruzzo AKA “Firecracker”. She’s from a rival family and Kage is ordered to unalive her. But he doesn’t.

Kage by Chelle Rose had me hooked from the very beginning! This is the kind of dark romance that pulls you into a dangerous world where revenge, family loyalty, betrayal, and forbidden attraction collide—and I could not put it down.
Lorenzo "Kage" Bonetti is ruthless, dangerous, and completely committed to his family, but Raina is the perfect woman to challenge everything he thinks he knows. What starts as an act of revenge quickly turns into something far more complicated. I absolutely loved discovering that Raina is nothing like the frightened, innocent woman Kage assumes she is. She has fire and determination, making their dynamic incredibly intense.
The chemistry between these two is fire! Their relationship is filled with tension, power struggles, danger, and that irresistible push-and-pull that kept me turning the pages. I loved watching them try to outsmart each other while fighting an attraction neither of them can seem to escape.
The mafia-family drama and revenge storyline added another layer of suspense, and I was constantly wondering who would make the next move. There are plenty of twists, danger, and emotional moments to keep things moving, but it’s the complicated relationship between Kage and Raina that truly stole the show for me.
If you love dark mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers vibes, revenge, possessive heroes, strong heroines, dangerous family dynamics, and plenty of heat, Kage is definitely one to add to your TBR. Five stars for a story that proves sometimes the most dangerous person in the room is the one you least expect.

All right, let’s talk about Kage! This is the third book in the Bonetti brother series. It is narrated by Savannah Thomas and Caden Hart who both just do a phenomenal job narrating this! all of our narrators throughout this series have done a phenomenal job Just gonna go ahead and give them some love again too. But from the beginning prologue, I was hooked from this story. This one to me has some of the most gutwrenching moments, especially at the beginning of the book. If you’ve read or listen to the book, you know exactly what I’m talking about but I did really enjoy Kage and Raina’s stored the most because they are a true enemies to lovers being that they are from these rival families, and if you’ve followed along through the previous two books, you know that their families are in this mafia war due to some things that Reaper had done! Chelle has done just an incredible job with this and I cannot wait for the final book Psycho. The Bonetti Brothers has definitely become one of my favorite dark mafia romances series and I am constantly recommending the series to anyone wanting to read, dark romance or getting into mafia romance. This is always one of the series, I’m like you need to read. Shout out to bluenose audio productions who just do an amazing job with all of their audiobooks!

This is part 3 in the Bonetti brothers series this story is about the MMC “Kage” who is one of the crazy Bonetti brothers and I swear the books get darker by each brother. Another book of holding FMCcaptive till she falls in love with them haha. This time the FMC Raina is from a rival family and Kage is suppose to get rid of her.. but does he?

Chelle is an utter master at her craft and can write with her eyes closed. She can set a scene perfectly immersing the reader into an amazing and brutal world of dark Mafia romance with some of the most beautiful and brutal bad boys around.
This is a superb and an exquisite piece of writing by Chelle Rose. A brilliant and intriguing storyline that continues on from the last book. Kage is the next brother to be, how shall we put it… Emotionally challenged?
I love this series and with each instrument it only gets better. This is full of denial, mistrust, sizzling hot spicy scenes, lust and possessiveness, internal struggles and family loyalty, found family dynamics and obsessive behaviour. Romance and rage. It’s quite an emotional rollercoaster ride and the spice is totally spicing.
Kage: Lorenzo. Is immune to anything love/feelings related… Strong and duty bound. He is part of the Bonnetti lineage and proud of it! Nothing will get in the way of defending his family! But once he faces Abruzzo’s youngest daughter, a stunning redhead no less, all is out of the window so to speak.
He struggles between his loyalty to his family and the unfamiliar feelings he doesn’t quite understand, or want… He has a pact after all
Raina: Abruzzo’s youngest daughter and pretty much worthless in her father‘s eyes. A means to an end, should be seen not heard! A female only good for marrying off for his own gain. Her whole life has been abusive and quite literally a struggle but she remains strong. Then she meets Kane!
I love the dynamic between these two characters the push and pull. There’s a strong electrical current between them. It’s explosive and a hell of a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end.
The narrative is full of twists and turns, tension and violence!
You will not want to miss this!!
A must read! If you haven’t started the Bonitti series already you really should!!

Caden does such an incredible job with this character and his development throughout his characters journey of denial and inner turmoil, his emotional depth gives this amazing character so much more intricate meaning, intensity, strength and intrigue! A truly amazing performance. Oh and what an incredible voice he has…swoon! You will love him even more… as I do.

Romeo & Juliet with a twist
I am loving all of the Bonetti men. I do like Reaper a smidge more than Kage, but I didn't like Reaper's first time with Bella so much. Raina was a bit more docile than her sisters-in-law, but it works. Kage is also the least intense of his brothers, so he doesn't need a bad@ss to keep him on his toes. Though Raina is a queen and I love her. I can't wait for Psycho though, I need to see how he finally falls lol. And if he stabs himself 🤣

So good! Savannah Thomas was a perfect Raina! I had never heard Caden Hart until this book but I love him! My only complaint about the two of them is their multi-voices need a bit of work. Still amazing though!

Kage: A Dark Mafia Romance is the third book in the Bonetti Brothers series. There are four Bonetti Brothers – Bones, Reaper, Psycho and Kage. Each story is a standalone, however I recommend reading them in order because they are interconnected.
Raina Abruzzo’s family kidnaps Reaper’s lady Bella to strike revenge on the Bonetti family for killing the Abruzzo’s brothers. Raina tries to get her father and brothers to stop what they have planned but she is dismissed. Raina’s family only views her as a bargaining chip to marry her off for more power. They rape and kill Bella’s baby and nearly kill Bella. However, the Bonetti’s brothers save Bella and take Raina and her mom as hostages.
Kage was given the order by Bones (his brother and leader of the Bonetti Mafia) to kill her. But instead of killing her he sleeps with her because he is drawn to her and because she is a virgin. Raina may be a mafia princess, but she is strong, vocal, and is willing to die. This only opens doors of emotions, drama, tension, and a long journey to each other. They are attracted to each other, but they do not trust one another and their family history is dangerous. Both resist their feelings.
The family wants her dead and they almost get their wish when Bones accidentally try to shoot her, and Reaper jumps in front of her. Only to get himself shot and the bullet seriously injured Raina. The book is full of twists and turns with the main characters and the supporting characters. There are some very dark moments in this book. Each book in the series get better. You will enjoy this book.

This book is dark and steamy and everything in between. I loved Kage he is intense but I enjoyed his character growth throughout the story. I loved Raina she is from the enemy’s family. I love the morally dark grey men and their love once they found the one. Chelle i don’t ever want the bonetti brothers to end. Check your triggers and dive in. 5 stars all the way.

Raina ❤️ was a mafia princess who was nothing your normal mafia princess. She didn't want to be involved in the depraved things her family were involved in. She still had a heart ❤️ and clung to her humanity when it came to the things they did. Even though her mother stepped aside while things were done she still had hope for her mother. Hope that her mother would finally stand up against everything. That was dashed quickly when everything truly started going sideways. I really liked Raina ❤️ and felt for her all the way through this book. She went through hell and back but was still fighting the whole time!
Kage 🖤🔪☠️ is a man obsessed with cages (hence the name- not like the Kardashians 🤣.) Kage refuses to let anyone get by him that has hurt his family. But Raina ❤️ truly changed that for him. She changed everything when it came to his feelings on love. He took from her what she held dearly. But he was determined to make it up to her.
Even though death 💀 isn't something he shys away from, that was one thing he refused to let Raina do. Even if it was an order from Bones. He truly let his feelings and his ❤️ get in the way of those orders. He gained so much more with Raina than he ever thought possible. Even if it did take from his family.
I am thrilled about Psycho's book! I know he is the last unhinged brother and I already know that he is going to be OUT OF THIS WORLD CRAZY!

Kage has a pact with Psycho they won’t ever fall in love or have women. What they do works for them, and neither of them sees a reason to change it.
Then Raina comes along and threatens all of that because there’s just something about her.
There’s only one little problem…
She’s the enemy’s daughter. And Kage has been ordered to kill her.
Raina is definitely NOT a wallflower. She’s determined, strong-willed, and doesn’t approve of a damn thing her family does. She has her own scars from everything she’s lived through, but she doesn’t let any of it make her weak.
Raina is quite literally a FIRECRACKER, and putting her together with Kage?
The chemistry between these two is simply amazing. When I tell you they GIVE IT to each other the banter, the back and forth, the moments where they swear they hate each other while all that chemistry is burning underneath it? I ate it up.
There’s also a moment where Raina turns on Kage because of some of his actions. She tries to call off what she started, but not before Kage finds out. That completely changes the dynamic between them, and you really start seeing just how much Raina actually cares about him.
And then Kage goes and messes up AGAIN.
Out of the brothers I’ve met so far, I’d definitely say Kage is the softest. Don’t get me wrong, the man is still KAGE, but Raina brings something out of him that I absolutely loved seeing.
Kage is the perfect example of how playing with fire might be risky…but sometimes getting burned is worth it. 🔥
This mafia series has completely taken over everything for me right now. Chelle Rose has a way of writing strong-willed women who can hold their own and men you probably should hate but somehow end up rooting for anyway. Then she throws in the trauma, backstories, twists, and complicated relationships that hook you even deeper and make you love these characters.

Hahaha Kage’s storyline was fucked. I almost didn’t get through the beginning of this with Bella/Reaper and what happened, some of that was a little too much, even for me. Raina was a fun character and I enjoyed the banter between her and Lorenzo even though these are strictly trigger warning books. It was interesting to see how Lorenzo’s character broke for her especially at the end with the flowers and all that jazz. Sad he accidentally shot her mom and purposefully killed her best-friend, still not over those. Also was happy at the end that Bella and Nico got their twins ahhhh just the start to their 12 serial killers. Writing wasn’t amazing!!! But that’s not why I am enjoying these, more to get me out of my flu hazed mind. I am curious to see Psycho’s story given that ending tho. Giving this one a 3/5 for the character development on all of them tbh.

I definitely had moments where I wanted to yell at Lorenzo, but that’s also what kept me hooked. The shift from revenge to obsession to “I will burn the world down for this woman” was quite the ride.
Savannah Thomas and Caden Hart did a great job with the narration and brought Rayna and Lorenzo’s personalities and emotions to life.
Dark, twisted, messy, and completely addictive. Chelle Rose really knows how to keep things interesting! 🖤🔥

Savannah and Caden did an amazing job with this audiobook! I know that the subjects in here aren't for everyone, but they definitely made it easier to listen to. Savannah truly gave Raina a voice and carried her all the way through this whole audiobook FLAWLESSLY ❤️. I honestly didn't know when I first started listening if Caden would really capture Kage and his essence. The more I listened the more I became accustomed to him being Kage. I kind of thought Kage would have a litte more of a huskier voice, but Kaden did a great job!
Kage 🔪🖤 was a wild ride!! But it was a ride that I willingly waited for! Chelle has some type of way with her writing that truly draws me in even with the hardest of subjects. She brings in the hardest subjects and decimated them with Kage & Raina.
Raina ❤️ was a mafia princess who was nothing your normal mafia princess. She didn't want to be involved in the depraved things her family were involved in. She still had a heart ❤️ and clung to her humanity when it came to the things they did. Even though her mother stepped aside while things were done she still had hope for her mother. Hope that her mother would finally stand up against everything. That was dashed quickly when everything truly started going sideways. I really liked Raina ❤️ and felt for her all the way through this book. She went through hell and back but was still fighting the whole time!
Kage 🖤🔪☠️ is a man obsessed with cages (hence the name- not like the Kardashians 🤣.) Kage refuses to let anyone get by him that has hurt his family. But Raina ❤️ truly changed that for him. She changed everything when it came to his feelings on love. He took from her what she held dearly. But he was determined to make it up to her.
Even though death 💀 isn't something he shys away from, that was one thing he refused to let Raina do. Even if it was an order from Bones. There is just something about the Bonetti brothers that has caught me in their grasp, and I don’t know if I can escape them. They are emotionally stunted, extremely violent, and don’t really know how to treat women. But there is something about them that makes you fall in love with them. This is the third book in the series but only the second I have read. These books are standalones, but it really does help to read all of the books. I think I felt even more for Reaper and Bella as well as Raina because I read the book before this one. This book has soooo many trigger warnings so please remember that and know that this is definitely dark. The story was one that pulled me in, and I didn’t want to stop reading. The ending set up book 4 and now I have to know what happens next. Each of the Bonetti brothers is so different even if they are all dark mafia guys. The differences that they all have help to bring them together to be an unstoppable force and such a tight family.
I don’t know if I could love any characters in this series more than Reaper and Bella, but Kage and Raina are right up there. I really felt for Kage. He truly believed that he didn’t have a heart, going so far as to tattoo a barbed wire heart on his chest. He never plans to love a woman, and he really didn’t expect to have feelings for someone from a rival family. He has no idea how to deal with his emotions, especially ones he has never felt before. Raina’s life really crushes me. Like many mafia women, she is property and she really just wants something more. These two are so bad for each other that they are absolutely perfect.
This book is much like the rest of the series. It’s dark and there are times when you want to take out the Bonetti brothers yourself. It is so spicy, although there are some scenes where you want to unalive people yourself. But the good spicy scenes are so good. This book is another chapter in the Bonetti brothers series and has just as much action and suspense as the first two. It is definitely an entertaining read.

Mama and daughter Raina are supposed to zip their mouths and open their legs, not necessarily in that order
Bonettis are “ brotherhood of saints” by comparison. They don't touch women and babies. Fight the fight “Mano Y Mano” . Beat their chests and abduct Raina and cage her. The head honcho - Bones, loves breaking bones.Psycho is just that, Craaaazy. Reaper is harbinger of death and married to a serial killer and Kage got Raina.

The books do follow a chronological timeline, and while the first two worked fairly well as interconnected standalones, I definitely wouldn’t recommend jumping into this one without reading the previous books first. The earlier couples and brothers all play major roles here, so having the background knowledge really enhances the emotional impact and overall story progression.
This series continues to stay very dark, heavily leaning into non con and dub con themes throughout. Please check trigger warnings beforehand because this one especially gets emotionally heavy. If pregnancy loss is a trigger for you, prepare yourself, because some scenes hit hard and definitely tug on the emotions.
Honestly, this series has improved for me with every book. Each brother somehow pulls me deeper into this chaotic mafia family, and at this point I’m convinced the final book might end up being my favorite of them all.
Now let’s talk audio because Savannah Thomas and Caden Hart absolutely delivered in this performance.
As someone who listens to a huge amount of audiobooks, I’ve heard hundreds of narrators at this point. Usually while listening, I’ll still have moments where I consciously notice the performance, the voice acting, or the skill behind switching between characters and emotions. But with this audiobook, something different happened. I completely forgot I was listening to narrators at all.
That’s honestly one of the highest compliments I can give an audiobook.
They pulled me so fully into the story and emotions that it stopped feeling like a performance and simply felt real. Every scene felt lived-in instead of acted, and that level of immersion is rare. Their delivery captured the vulnerability, brutality, obsession, fear, and emotional weight of these characters so naturally that I never once got pulled out of the experience.
Absolutely phenomenal narration from both of them.

First off, CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS, people! This book doesn’t just hit heavy it comes at you like a freight train with a vendetta. If your emotional stability is hanging by a thread, Kage is here to karate chop that thread into oblivion.
So, Kage (our human embodiment of anger issues) stumbles upon Raina, the Abruzzo family's youngest daughter, hiding under a table. Instead of thinking, "Poor girl, let me help," he’s like, "Yup, I’ll take that. Straight to my emotional torture chamber, thanks." And thus begins the saga of How Many Times Can One Man Self-Sabotage Before I Yeet My Kindle Across the Room? Spoiler: A LOT.
I cannot tell you how many times I screamed at my Kindle: "KAGE, STOP F*CKING SHIT UP!" But did he listen? No. My forehead now has a permanent dent from all the facepalming.
And then there’s Raina. You think she’s gonna be this sweet, innocent mafia princess, all “Yes, sir” and “No, sir.” WRONG. She’s more "I’ll bite you, stab you, and burn your house down while looking cute doing it." Kage wanted a pet? He got a feral cat with a grudge.
Their relationship is like watching two flaming dumpsters roll downhill chaotic, destructive, and you can’t look away. Just when you think they’re about to get their act together, BAM! Another emotional landmine. It’s like emotional Whack-a-Mole : every time you think this is it, nope, cue more trauma.
But honestly? I LIVED for the drama. The cameos from the other brothers and their women were the perfect sprinkle of familiarity in this chaotic stew. My heart shattered for Reaper and Bella like, can someone give them a break already?
By the end, I was emotionally bruised but weirdly satisfied. This book will break you, tape you back together with mafia-grade duct tape, and leave you begging for more. Three brothers down, one to go… and I’m already preparing my poor Kindle for the next round of abuse.

Umm.. idk, 1.5 ⭐️? I don’t even know where to begin… I still can’t believe how badly this series let me down lol somehow I didn’t see it coming but it actually just got more and more ridiculous. As I stated in the previous review, even for a dark romance this series was unconventional and that’s saying something. The poor girl was already kidnapped and being held against her will and the mmc kills her mother, albeit it was an accident. But on an unforgivable note, he kills her best friend (a guy) right before he rapes her in front of him just to assert dominance because he was jealous he made her comfortable enough to genuinely laugh? I…. I couldn’t care less about their love story after this because there shouldn’t be one! Lmao idk what the hell the author was thinking. So the girl is on her actual death bed after being shot by the MMC’s brother, JUST after being taken in front of her best friend, watching him be shot in the head and learning her mother is dead, and what he says to her as he holds her hand while she’s unconscious and her life hangs in the balance is “if I were capable of more I’d do the right thing and let you go but i can’t. I can’t promise you much but I’ll try to be less of an asshole” yeah let’s wrap this shit UP! Omg i canNOT 😭 wait, I forgot to mention that in his sick and twisted way of being in love with her, and at this point it’s a little over 50% through the entire book, he has literally known this girl for like a day and a half! And he was some notorious playboy who swore he’d never be in love right before this (aka 2 days ago). Now, just days after her life or death surgery from being shot in the chest, he fucks her again against her will and afterwards says “I love you, I fucking love you and I know I messed up, and I promise you I will again”…. This is the first time I’ve read a dark romance where the mmc’s character surpasses just being evil and unhinged and totally inconsiderate. Like I genuinely think this man is slow… I could honestly give more examples of how absolutely fucked this story was as well as the characters but what does it matter. She fell for him anyway like a week later and blah blah blah. I’m gonna read the last one because duh I might as well but yeah.

Except he can’t.
There is something about her that completely unseats him. She is so desperate to be loved, while he is a man who was vehemently determined never to fall for something as trivial and weak as falling for someone. Watching him become taken with the woman he was supposed to destroy made them such a beautiful pairing.
One of my favorite parts was the pact between Kage and his brother Psycho that neither of them would ever be stupid enough to fall in love. Watching that promise come back and bite both of them in the rear was hilarious. These men were so confident until the right women showed up and ruined the entire plan.
Caden Hart was fantastic as Kage. He captured the danger in a man who enjoys breaking people, but you could also hear the confusion when his usual methods stopped feeling possible with her. He has this cocky swagger in his voice that I loved hearing in Kage. Listening to that fascination turn into something he could no longer deny was so good.
Savannah Thomas made it impossible not to care about her character. She gave us a woman carrying the consequences of her family’s choices while still hoping someone might finally choose her. That need to be loved could have felt helpless in the wrong hands, but Savannah made it emotional without taking away her strength.
Caden and Savannah were wonderful together in duet narration. They made the contrast between his darkness and her selflessness such a wonderful combo. I loved listening to the woman he was expected to break become the one person capable of breaking through him instead.

KAGE by Chelle Rose, book three in the Bonetti Brothers series, is dark, brutal, and addictive. While it can be read as a standalone, I recommend starting from the beginning, as Chelle builds her worlds with such depth that every connection hits harder when you understand the tangled web she wove in the earlier installments of the series.
