You’ll learn about building relationships, working through challenges, reinventing yourself, and celebrating the wins in this compelling narrative by Terri Eagle, founder and CEO of Terri Eagle Group .

Terri’s journey begins when she finds a love for sales during her childhood in Seattle and goes on to work under her dad’s direction at one of his pizza restaurants. From him, she learns key business practices that she will put into effect to help her build and grow her career, including being kind to everyone and working hard.

In her high school years, Terri takes a job in the cosmetics department of a drug store. She then applies for and is offered a position selling for Russ Berrie to gain experience. She does so well there that she is hired at L’Oréal for her outstanding performance. She quickly wins awards and moves up, and is then offered positions at other companies for her strong track record.

Within the chapters, you’ll observe how Terri sets goals and works to achieve them—and how you can do the same!

After spending time at L’Oréal and moving to Texas, Terri accepts an offer that will take her to her dream New York City. While there, she works for iconic brands like Montblanc and David Yurman, taking the companies to new levels of success and helping them secure leading positions in their markets. Throughout these years, Terri shows an ability to adapt to new roles and environments, and she’s ready to help others do the same.

One of the key lessons from Terri’s journey is the art of branding and positioning. She jumps in and reinvents companies such as Schumacher, an interior design company that was in need of modernization. By building key partnerships while stirring in creativity and fun, Terri led the company to become a top player once again.

Moreover, Terri’s personal reflections provide opportunities to identify how to balance professional achievements with personal well-being. She consistently takes time to spend with loved ones and showers her team with kind gestures and surprises. She’s known to celebrate birthdays with cupcakes, to have champagne delivered to a hotel room when team members go on vacation, and to encourage her staff to grow in their careers. She has provided coaching for others and is willing to mentor up-and-coming leaders.

After reading the book, you’ll be inspired by Terri’s accomplishments and gain what you need to create your own journey.

Whether you are a seasoned executive, a future leader, or someone looking for starting tips in their career, you’ll find a wealth of knowledge and advice in Terri’s story.

The only reason I did not DNF this book was because I won it on Goodreads and felt obligated to read and review it. This is basically a memoir where the author just talks about how great she is, how great her life has been and basically everything hs gone her way in life aside from one failure. Good for her. I do not feel like there were really any action steps on how to be successful, it was basically just a flex to herself. Congratulations, you have a great life. She genuinely seems like a good person but I think this book should be marketed as a memoir, not a self help book.

Review of The Champagne CEO: A Sparkling Journey of Success Through Courage, Confidence, and Collaboration by Terri Eagle

Emotional Resonance & Personal Impact
Terri Eagle’s The Champagne CEO is far more than a memoir—it’s a masterclass in resilience wrapped in warmth and wit. From the first pages, I was struck by Eagle’s ability to blend vulnerability with unshakable determination. Her journey from small-town beginnings to leading prestigious luxury brands feels both extraordinary and deeply relatable. One passage about overcoming self-doubt as a young entrepreneur lingered with me; it mirrored my own fears of “not belonging” in competitive spaces. The concept of “confidence is a practice, not a privilege” became a sticky note on my desk.

The book’s emphasis on collaboration (a core theme) also shifted my perspective. Eagle’s stories of mentorship and teamwork (like her champagne tower metaphor) reframed success as a collective effort rather than a solo sprint. I closed the book feeling energized to nurture my own professional relationships with more intention.

Strengths & Constructive Feedback
-Inspiration Meets Practicality: Eagle’s advice is both aspirational and actionable. Her “sparkling” analogies (e.g., turning setbacks into bubbles that rise) make abstract concepts memorable.
-Authentic Voice: Her storytelling avoids corporate clichés, offering candid reflections on failures (like early career missteps) without sugarcoating.
-Structural Nuance: While the thematic chapters work well, some transitions between personal anecdotes and broader lessons felt abrupt. A tighter narrative thread could enhance flow.
-Diversity of Perspectives: Though Eagle’s journey is compelling, I wished for more voices—e.g., how collaborators or mentees viewed pivotal moments. This could have further developed the “collaboration” theme.

Final Thoughts
This book is like a perfectly poured glass of champagne: effervescent, uplifting, and layered with complexity. It doesn’t just celebrate success; it demystifies the grind behind it. A must-read for anyone navigating imposter syndrome or craving a mentor-in-pages.

Rating: 4.5/5 (A toast-worthy blend of heart and hustle).

Gratitude: Thank you to Forbes Books and Goodreads Giveaways for the free copy—this review reflects my genuine admiration for Eagle’s ability to turn life’s tart moments into something sparkling.

The book delivers an inspiring and empowering memoir that bubbles with wisdom, authenticity, and resilience. With a refreshing blend of personal storytelling and professional insight, Eagle invites readers into her world—a place where bold ambition meets vulnerability, and success is built through courage, confidence, and above all, collaboration.
From humble beginnings to the boardroom, Eagle charts her rise through the corporate world with remarkable candor. She doesn't shy away from sharing the setbacks and struggles that shaped her leadership style, making this book not only a celebration of triumph but also a testament to the power of perseverance. Her voice is both relatable and motivational, offering valuable lessons for aspiring leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone seeking to redefine their path.
What makes this book stand out is its effervescent tone—much like the champagne in its title, it's celebratory, elegant, and brimming with energy. Eagle’s insights into team building, leading with empathy, and cultivating a culture of trust are especially poignant, reminding us that true leadership isn’t about titles but about connection and character.
The Champagne CEO is more than a business book—it’s a personal manifesto on rising with grace and grit. Whether you're looking to advance in your career or simply find inspiration to live more boldly, Terri Eagle's journey offers a sparkling toast to what’s possible when we lead from within.

The Champagne CEO is an uplifting and energizing read that blends business insight with personal storytelling. As a reader, I was struck by Terri’s authenticity—her journey from a pizza restaurant to powerhouse luxury brands is both impressive and relatable. The book flows with charm and practicality, offering valuable lessons on leadership, branding, and resilience. What makes it stand out is how Terri combines ambition with kindness, always valuing people along the way. Her attention to mentorship and team appreciation adds a warm, human element that many business books miss. As I am starting my career, this book makes me feel motivated and encouraged to define success on my own terms. It’s not just a business memoir—it’s a reminder that success can be joyful, collaborative, and uniquely yours.

The author of this book narrates her life, taking the reader through several chapters. The focus is on lessons that she learned in the business world. She held positions at many companies, and at each stop, she added to her knowledge. Now, she lays out that knowledge in the hopes that her readers will emulate her best moves and avoid her mistakes.

The tone is upbeat and there is much to be learned in these pages. Topics such as branding and positioning are brought up and thoroughly explored. If you are a current business leader or expect to be one someday, this is an invaluable read. It’s like a literary coach that will help you to navigate your work life and to arrive at a place where you’re both successful and content.

Through her experience, first as a salesperson in the cosmetics department of a pharmacy and then founding the Terri Eagle Group, author Eagle shares with her audience how to build relationships, overcome challenges, reinvent yourself, and celebrate triumphs. With great charisma, Terri shares her wisdom about the business world and how entrepreneurs can position their companies in a rapidly changing market.
I recommend this book to all leaders who need or want to reinvent their companies. With Terri's help, readers will be able to creatively give their businesses and companies a new lease on life. Furthermore, her experiences inspire others to not give up and fight for what they set out to do.

The Champagne CEO is a truly inspiring book that I find more motivating and positive than many other books of this kind that I have read. Having gone from humble beginnings herself, the author shows how her journey to success took determination and belief in herself.

The book is separated into five main parts that cover the subjects of believing, asking, risking, learning and caring. My favorite chapter is titled “Surrendering to the Dream”. It describes how the author started working at a jewelry office for David Yurman and how she rapidly saw what needed to be changed for greater success. Each chapter ends with key takeaways. These really help one consolidate the precious material.

This is a highly enriching book. I think everyone will benefit from reading it.

The Champagne CEO is a book that shares the details of a fascinating career in sales. Terri Eagles shares her path from an early age, how she started from scratch, and how she positioned herself in some of the biggest companies in the market.

It was an inspiring read. The author only shows how to achieve goals with hard work and a bulletproof mindset. It's definitely a book dedicated to people who want to climb the corporate ladder, it provides guidance and shares key concepts to achieve it. Terri wrote this book as an autobiography, but the teachings of this read go beyond that and become technical and detail-oriented, making it a great choice for entrepreneurs.

What a great book I just read! It's amazing how empowering it is to read a real-life story of a woman who managed to balance her professional and personal life, which for me is really a challenge and above all something I deeply admire. The author's story is incredible, and to read how she faced each of the professional challenges she had in her life without abandoning her family and her person as such is very empowering. I love that in addition to telling her stories she gives us life lessons and strategies to achieve a life where you can be complete in each of the fundamental pillars, I just love it

By telling her life in detail, Eagle walks us through all the lessons she learned while walking in the business world, and she was generous enough to put pen to paper and transmit every little piece to us. Every different job she has had throughout her life has added value to her and, thus, I believe she is the right person to educate and enlighten us on the matter.

The way she wrote this book is amazing, since she used a crystal clear language and slow pace to present all the tips and ideas to develop courage, confidence, and collaboration that would guarantee our success in the field of business.

As refreshing and effervescent as its title

The Champagne CEO is as refreshing and effervescent as its title suggests. Terri Eagle’s story is a masterclass in leadership with heart. From her humble beginnings in a family pizza shop to leading major global brands like Montblanc and David Yurman, Terri shows that success doesn’t come from luck, but from clarity, resilience, and genuine connection.
The personal stories, the branding lessons, and the examples of reinvention are all empowering, but what really left a mark was how Terri lifted others along her journey.

It was literally a play by play of her whole career but sounds like someone retelling you a story over lunch. It was okay. But I did like how she emphasized keeping a good attitude and that it’s a her story that started in sales and focused on retail. I won this on Goodreads giveaways

The book was terrible honestly! I didn’t enjoy the book much as it just talked about how everything in life went her way. I didn’t want to finish the book but I try to always give the book a chance even if it’s the next to last page. Just isn’t my tea!

This book was all about the author’s EGO and has no substance. Also, anyone that has done a little research on Ms. Eagle would know that the companies she has mentioned in her book as being successful under her leadership is a little far fetched.

Motivational Book

This book was awesome. It was motivating to see how one can start from their own and become a successful CEO. It also shows hard times and starting over again to be successful.

I tried real hard to like this book, but abundant of text in parentheses, constant mentioning high heels and Nordstrom is too much for me. I admire author's hard work but book is "meh" at best

This really put things into prespective for me. Working in a corporate job I struggled with many of the things it mentions you can do to make your work and personal life easier.
