When I lose my job and my apartment on the same day, I’m not exactly in a position to say no to a cocky billionaire’s bold move into his mansion for a month, train his unruly dog, and earn enough cash to turn my luck around.
But he failed to mention one crucial detail—he has two infuriating, impossible-to-ignore, gorgeous roommates.
Grayson is the devastatingly handsome widower with walls thicker than steel. He is the definition of control and is wound tighter than a rubber band ready to snap.
Then there’s Chase, the excitable golden retriever who’s equal parts protective and playful. He flirts like it’s his full-time job, and I can’t help falling headfirst into his charm.
And Cole? Intense, dominant, and devastatingly direct, he’s the man who sees every crack in my armor—and makes me want to let him in anyway.
Three powerful men. One intoxicating situation. For the first time, I have something that feels like family. But can I trust that they’ll stay when things get messy—or will I end up alone again?
The premise is great but it feels like it’s missing parts. The story jumps from one scene to the next with no explanation. At one moment they are standing in the kitchen and then she is slamming the car door or one character is pulling condoms from his pocket and then suddenly he is naked. Also the FMC isn’t very thought out. She freaks out over a dog hoarding situation acting like 5 minutes are going to make a big difference. I get the author was trying to make the FMC come a crossed very dedicated but it’s unrealistic to act like the dogs would die within the next 5 minutes without intervention.
This one just didn't do it for for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. There were massive plot holes that never got explained. Like what was the scar from. What happened in her childhood that made her pull away from everyone? Did I miss it explained somewhere? The relationships between the characters wasn't working for me either. It just overall, for me, needed so much more.
What a fun read! Lots of sassy, lots of spice. I was rooting for Tessa, Grayson, Chase and Cole. From the beginning. I love Douglas the butler and of course Lulu and Zeus captured my heart. Only wish Tessa could have rescued Morgan's dog! It was awesome to have a herione passionate about animal rescue.
I'm surprised by how many 5 star reviews this book received because I thought there were major issues with it. The characters are very superficial and though backstories are alluded to, we never find out what happened in anyone's past to explain who they are today. That goes for the heroine and all three heroes. We never learn what makes these people tick, and that makes it impossible to believe their relationship at the end. If we, the readers, never learn who these people are when we're literally in their heads and reading their thoughts, how the hell can they know each other well enough to decide they're in love? They can't, obviously. There's no relationship here.
Surprisingly, there's also very little sex as well. In most reverse harem stories, especially those that are light on character development and plot, usually the book is filled with page after page of sex scenes. The sizzle factor is the whole point of the book. Not so in this book. Most of the sex scenes happen off-page and are just implied rather than described. The main hero, Grayson, doesn't even sleep with the heroine until the very last scene in the book!
There isn't really a plot to speak of either. The only over-arching elements to the plot are weak and telegraphed. Cole has a clingy ex who's trying to insist that they aren't really broken up. Grayson has the stereotypical-for-this-genre cool and efficient personal assistant who wants him for herself so she tries to get rid of the heroine. No new ground was broken in the creation of this story.
It all comes together to make me wonder just who this book was really for? People who are in it for plot or to fall in love with the characters are going to be sorely disappointed. And the folks who are in it for the spicy sex are going to be left distinctly unmoved. And yet there are tons of 4 and 5 star reviews. I'm baffled.
This is a reverse harem story and tbh, I'm not the biggest fan of this trope. Nothing against others who enjoy it, cheers to you. But for me, relationships are complicated enough with one person, but to add 3 attractive men, that's just unnecessary stress and a mess.hehe 🙉🙊 I'm a fan of Ms Vaughn and wanted to read her latest book soo I took a chance and here goes my review.
Tessa Morrow is a petite young woman who loves animals. She works trying to protect and heal them at an animal hospital. Until one day she lost her job over a snarky banshee who's wealthy and treats her doggy terribly. Rotten!! I wonder what became of him later on? Soo with her life falling apart, loss of her job, now needing to move from her apartment building, they're tearing the building down, she meets a man, a wealthy attractive older man at the doggy park when Tessa takes her dog Lulu out there. Grayson is needing a dog whisperer of sorts for his dog Zeus. Zeus is grieving the loss of his owner and acts out, I guess. Grayson is a widower. He notices Tessa and how she handles Lulu and wants to offer her a job. He's desperate. Innocent enough, right? Tessa does need big money and a place to stay for the month. I'm with the story. Easy peasy.
Now this is where it gets tricky for me. Grayson has his two best friends, and they're also in the same line of work as him, all 3 live in Grayson's big mansion. There's Chase, the flirty fun loving one and Cole who's grumpy and snappish. I personally preferred Chase. He was more involved and invested with his thoughts and emotions. Grayson still misses his wife as he should. But he gawks at Tessa all the time. Cole is dealing with an ex who can't let him go. Did I mention the butler Douglas. That guy cracked me up. Very posh and comedic that Doug.🤵🏼
But I digress. Tessa. She seemed nice enough but when dealing with serious animal rescues, she became like Cole. Rude. Argumentative. I get the passion to help but her personality flipped. I didn't get the transformation. And it played that way through the entire book. It's her past but there wasn't enough depth to her dealing with it. The focus appears to be her getting involved with Chase, then Cole, sometimes together, then Grayson. And all 3 guys fell instantly. Like boom.🫰🏻🫰🏻 I personally didn't get that. They dropped everything for her. How did it get there?🤷🏻🤷🏼 I don't know. Very insta! Even when Chase pushed for all 3 of them, Tessa didn't bat an eyelash to being with Chase and Cole. There was no hesitation. No talking about it. Nothing. Even when there was a moment of pausing in her thoughts, she pushed it away. To me, she was being objectified. But she felt safe and desired? Kitten was in control. Till the dominance changed. They chased. She ran. Tessa, for me didn't develop emotionally with them. They were way way ahead of her as soon as they met her.
The month is wrapping up. She didn't train Zeus all that much. Mostly hung out in the pool and with the guys. A couple of times there was pet rescues. I stopped reading and wondered where is this story going? I didn't connect with it. I tried. I finished it. But like I wrote before, Chase was funny as was Douglas. I liked them. I like the dogs and cats. The ending has an OTT comedic twist.😂😂 Juniper and Morgan are annoying. But the rest. I don't know. And Tessa's excuse for leaving: they don't want me. Girll. Don't be dense. You know they do, they tell you over and over.😜 This was kind of there for me. I don't hate it. But I'm not crazy about it either. No jealousy from the guys, huh? HEA. Sure. If you like these type of romances check this one out. Maybe it will work for you. I didn't get their love romance. The book cover is nice. Happy reading.❤️❤️
🐶🐱👶🏼Thank you to Ms Vaughn and Bookfunnel for an early book. The opinions shared here are my own.👶🏼🐱🐶
"Filthy Rich Bosses" follows Tessa, a struggling animal lover who finds herself unexpectedly living with three wealthy and incredibly attractive brothers-in-law. When she loses her job and apartment, she accepts a lucrative offer from Grayson, a grieving widower, to train his troubled dog. However, Grayson's two brothers, Chase and Cole, also reside in the mansion, creating a dynamic and unexpectedly intimate living situation. As Tessa navigates this unconventional arrangement, she must confront her own past traumas and learn to trust these powerful men while resisting the undeniable attraction she feels for each of them.
This reverse harem romance offers a captivating premise with the potential for high-stakes drama and sizzling chemistry. The concept of Tessa living with three wealthy and intriguing men provides ample opportunity for engaging interactions and unexpected twists.
However, the execution falls short in several areas. The character development of Tessa feels uneven, with her personality shifting inconsistently throughout the story. Her initial strength and independence seem to diminish as she becomes increasingly reliant on the brothers. Furthermore, the rapid progression of the romantic relationships feels rushed and lacks the depth and emotional resonance necessary to fully convince the reader.
The plot also suffers from some predictability and a lack of significant conflict beyond the initial adjustment to living with three men. While the story delivers on the promised steam and features some entertaining moments, it ultimately lacks the emotional depth and character development to fully engage the reader.
"Filthy Rich Bosses" may appeal to readers who enjoy fast-paced reverse harem romances with a focus on physical attraction and steamy encounters. However, readers seeking a deeper emotional connection with the characters and a more nuanced exploration of their relationships may find the story lacking.
I would give this book 3 out of 5 stars. While the premise is intriguing and offers some entertaining moments, the underdeveloped characters and rushed plot progression ultimately limit its impact.
My Rating System: 1⭐️: The book didn’t hold my interest and/or had significant issues that overshadowed any redeeming qualities for me, but generally not my cup of tea. Most likely did not finish the book. 2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations. 3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others. 4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read book again. Definitely recommendable. 5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!.

thoa wasn't any good. no character develop at all. I mean it guess there was some effort there but it didn't work. Greyson is the only character that is kind of successfully written. his wife died and he's struggling to move on. ok I get that. Cole is dark and broody and has a psycho ex that manipulated him. but no further explanation. and so what is his motivation for being so dark and closed off? chase is just a puppy from beginning to end.
Tessa. again. we are told that she is closed off because no one has ever picked her. everyone abandons her. but we only really get that 90% into the book. but we get this whole dark moody, I don't need anyone attitude with no real explanation.
if she's moving in as staff why isn't she treated like staff from step 1? but that at least is consistent with most of the books.
in the 2 weeks it takes for these guys to fall for her what has she really done to be so lovable? like 3 men fall in love with her that quickly because "she can take care of herself" and she bravely rescues animals from hoarders?? It just isn't believable in any way. I mean non of these books are realistic but you've got to do something with the characters enough to make me think it's possible and to care about the characters.
there was a single good character. Douglas the Butler.
One emotionally unavailable man, one with a past that won’t leave him alone, and another man who enjoys seizing opportunities. One of his found opportunities is having some sexy times with Tessa (their new live-in dog trainer). Tessa is well on board with said fun. Emotions and the issues/qualities of all three men begin to collide. Tessa has her baggage, but it’s the size of a large purse. I consider her actions and reactions on the immature side more than the damage-driven. When feelings started getting involved, that’s when I would run into emotional whiplash between one sentence to the next a couple of times. It was subtle, but enough to make me stop and have a huh? moment. You’ve also got some good old-fashioned catty drama in the background that comes to a quick head at the worst moment. I kept waiting for the fact Cole's assistant and Tessa's animal rescue friend were both named Janice and maybe were the same person to be discovered, but it never happened. Oh well. Overall, it's a good ménage story of a group of guys who have it all and a girl who has little, but with than an independence issue and a smart mouth to match.
When Grayson Harrington’s wife dies, he can’t bring himself to make Sarah’s dog Zeus behave. The dog has done some damage, causing lawsuits, and if Grayson can’t get Zeus properly trained, he may risk having to have the dog euthanized. Grayson is not handling Sarah’s death well at all, so his friends Cole and Chase come to stay with him. Grayson walked to the park and watched a woman, Tessa, interact with her dog Lulu. He was impressed at how Lulu is trained so well, so he wants Tessa to come and train Zeus. Since Tessa had lost her job at the vet clinic -- and when she gets home finds out her apartment building was sold, leaving her one week to vacate -- she has now become homeless and jobless. So she would have the time to do this if she decides to help him out, solving her own problems as well. She hadn’t expected that he had two other guys living with him, however. How will the situation work out for them? Will she refuse the job? Or will … well, grab your copy and find out what kind of arrangement this new “family” creates.
When things take an unexpected turn at work, where she works as a vet technician, Tessa is shocked and needs to find another job quickly.
Grayson has to get his dog under control or he could be put to sleep. When he sees how Tessa's dog is so well-behaved at the dog park, he offers her a job. After consideration, Tessa accepts, as long as she can live in for the month her contract is for.
Tessa isn't too fond of rich people. She knows exactly how they treat people. But what she wasn't expecting was sharing the house with not just 1 hot guy but 3.
Chase, who gives her the puppy dog eyes and makes her laugh. Cole who is all bark and will bite if asked nicely! And Grayson, the lost soul, who is frightened to take the next step and love again.
Can Tessa be the one to make the house a home again? Or will her pride and independence push the men away?

It didn't seem organic enough to me for it to be a legit connection between the four main characters. You have the typical 3 men who all seem to have some problem with love, whether it's how they've been hurt by a lost one, annoyed by the female population in general, or the younger "I need to sow my oats" type who thinks of women as a "get her and move on" thing.
Until they meet the right girl who makes them want to do more.
All the drama that ensues due to her own insecurities is very fast paced and does not feel as though it's real to me at all, though the fantasy of it is enough for me to leave it at a 3-star rating because I feel like overall, it has a great line of thought. Perhaps if it was written into more details, and drawn out into more than that of a short story, it would be even better!
OMG this was a great book. I read this book in one setting it will have you hooked as soon you turn the pages. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down literally. Tessa, Grayson, Chase, and Cole reverse harem romance was a sexual attraction and the physical attraction was stimulating of in power and passion of drama and chaos with a hint of a love triangle and Tessa was the prize and who was going to win her in this moment. Will she play mind games with these guys and her job and even her lifestyle right now and who will be the one she will choose from. I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I couldn't resist a reverse harem with a dog trainer, and I was not disappointed! Such a fun, easy read that I could not put down! I loved learning about how each character developed their personality, though I would have loved to have more background on the details of Tessa. She's such a fiesty little thing and great with animals, so I instantly liked her. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants some fun drama before the HEA!
My rating system: 5=will read again 4=recommend to everyone 3=recommend to anyone liking that particular writing style/trope 2=do not recommend 1=DNF
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️.5/5 Filthy Rich Bosses was absolutely fantastic! I absolutely love a reverse harem but one that has such great detail and back story I was blown out of the water! Tessa’s story and what she chooses to do to help save and care for animals was something I haven’t read before. But I now realize I need more stories with that in it! This was cute, healing, and spicy all wrapped into one! Alix Vaughn keeps showing me why I continue to reach for her books! I definitely recommend this one and honestly any of her other books as well!
WOW! What a great book. I read it in one sitting. This is a new author for me. And she is amazing. I can't wait to read more of her books. This book had all the feels, happiness, sadness, frustration and my favorite part......rescue dogs! The FMC was strong, soft, bold and soft. The 3 MMC, all had different personalities. Unfortunately, there was some important missing parts to this story, especially regarding the female character (very disappointing). But it's still worth reading. Happy Reading ❤
This daring story has all the fills and drama from start to finish. Tessa finds herself out of a job and apartment all in one day. She connects with Grayson who is amazed with her ability to train dogs and asks her to train his wife's dog. It starts them on one glorious journey along with his two friends that they didn't see coming. Will it lead them to the happiness they all deserve.

I can't say that I have read a whole lot of reverse harem romance books before, but I am starting to really enjoy reading them. Tessa is in need of a place to stay and a job and that's where Grayson comes into play however there are a couple of other hot men that are going to be in the picture as well and that will be Cole and Chase. So, get this explosive hot romance book by Alix and start reading about these characters.
This is sooo bad!! Poorly written like a bad porno moving and even the spice level is mediocre at best for a reverse harem. Side plots that are just tiresome and boring. Zero chemistry between the group and what the hell is up with the mistakes from Chicago skyline to New York skyline or Greyson and Grayson spelling errors??!!! Ughhhh! This book is worse than lame. Half a star at best!!!! The worst book I’ve read this year🤮🥴
I really wanted to give this at least four stars. There are plenty of cute moments and steamy interactions, but I can’t get over the fact that two of the MMCs pretty much SA’d the MFC. First as a punishment for hurting one of the guys and then once they finally came to their senses. Another complaint being the fact that it took over 80% of the book before they actually became a reverse harem.
The writing was just not great. It felt like a draft? And the fact that you don’t ever actually learn the specifics about the FMC’s past. And the insane instalove factor. It just didn’t feel flushed out enough. Didn’t love. And for a reverse harem the “spice” was vague, unclear, and sometimes even confusing.
But will I probably read the next one even though it’s also probably not good? Yep. Single dads and a a teacher. Hooked lol.

I've read several reverse harem tales and I enjoy them. This one was wonderfully written, imaginative, and mysterious until the end. The progression of love for each character proceeded differently and seemed to be an impossibility at times, which kept my interest peaked until the very end. Enjoy!
Honestly, i got to, like, chapter 13 or 14 and i called it quits. The f!mc got me so irritated and mad that i genuinely had to take breaks from the book and then just stopped reading it. It’s not very thought out either, like, none of the characters or plot is. it’s all very jumbled and just randomly put together. do not recommend. DNF.
This story was ok, it held my interest but it wasn't like wow. It was a quick read which I liked, had a crazy ex, a crazy coworker, three men with troubled past, and a woman that is there is fix it and to help a grieving dog. Favorite character was the British butler.
Overall impression, it was an ok read, kept me entertained.
This is more than just a filthy harem book, this has a back story to every character. The stories are great and you want to know the truth about every one. This is a really good read and it was so enjoyable!!
A new author for me, and they didn't disappoint. I enjoyed this book with its bits of drama and how all our characters and their different personalities interacted. The butler was a hoot. Ultimately, Chase was my favorite character i lived his energy.
it's always interesting for me to see the dynamics of an RH novel. this one didn't disappoint. there's a hot man for every need! it doesn't hurt that the story is made light with the whimsy of a pet dog! very easy read, entertaining and also warming!
This is my first book by the author. I enjoyed both the story and the not OTT poly relationship. Tessa had to put up with some grumpy men and two crazy ex’s but it was all worth it. Well written it’s a wonderful story with great characters and good steam. Will be reading more by this author.
Strong yet vulnerable characters. Good storyline that draws everyone and their past lives together. Respect, caring people connect to save a dog grieving for his human. Teaching them to love again.
