Amir Botros, the younger brother of Sheikh Tariq Botros, could not be more different than his brother. He is a notorious womanizer, but he may finally have met his match.
Soraya can't believe how the arrogant and obnoxious Amir Botros could be so rude! He was always showing up to her university or the restaurant where she works uninvited. He won't leave her alone and won't take no for an answer. So why is she so attracted to a man she knows she should hate?
To Amir, Soraya is fascinating. She is beautiful, elegant and fiercely intelligent - very different from the dozens of other girls he had been with. She constantly pushes him away, rejects him in public and refuses to return his calls. There was absolutely nothing he could do to make her smile. Not once had he been able to make her feel comfortable around him. She never let her guard down around him.
But when he kisses her she melts into his arms.. he couldn't figure her out. She was his biggest challenge. He knew one thing; he was not going to give up on her.
However, when he discovers Soraya is related to one of his closest friends, he'll have to decide how far he will go to win her over..
The Botros Brothers Series ===================== Book 1: The Sheikh's Accidental Pregnancy Book 2: The Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend Book 3: The Sheikh's Stubborn Bride
New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

My Review: The Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend by Leslie North was a multi-character romance-fest. It is book two in the Botros Brothers series.
About the Romance: When Sheikh Amir Botros confesses that he has taken notice of his best friend's sister, Soraya doesn't know what's hit her. Long ago when she had felt an attraction to Amir, he acted immature and treated her ridiculously. Now that she has set a sure course for her life, he wants to act on his own attraction toward her. Should she have nothing to do with him, or should she put them both out of their misery and give him a chance?
About the Book: This was an interesting installment. While the book was meant to feature Amir and Soraya, it actually came across, in part, as an extension of book one, which featured Tariq and Sara. I was surprised by how much attention was given to the couple. The story did present a few notable moments between Amir and Soraya, however, it all appeared that the relationship stayed at the budding stage level. With that said, the blurb on book three alluded to a potential threat to Amir's relationship with Soraya. If that is the case, then perhaps more can be ascertained about the romance between Amir and his lady love.
About the Family: The Botros brothers appear close to each other. They seem private and especially guarded with others, even amongst the extended family. The dynamic introduced between Sara and each brother was a good play. I love the grandmother of the Botros men. The verdict is still out on their mother. Yay for Sara's mom speaking up on behalf of her daughter!
My Final Say: This romance gets a steady ready, neat sweet rating. I would definitely keep reading about the Botros'.
Rating: 3/5 Recommend: Yes Audience: A Status/Level: 🍨
Thanks to the author, to the publisher (Relay Publishing), and to NetGalley, who provided access to a digital ARC of this title in exchange for an honest review. The words I have shared are my own.
The second book in the series brings Amir and Soraya's story. The author does a great job developing the story as she tells Amir's determination in catching Soraya and also catches us up to Tariq and Sara's lives. It's well written, moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Not a bad quick read but still the steamy scenes we're Sara and Tariq. Still love them and ok to include them but felt not enough of Amir and his girlfriend.
I'm a bit torn about how many stars to give this story. There are two stories that overlap, and I enjoyed one thoroughly, but I had issues with the other. I've chosen to give this book 4 stars based on the strength of the part that I enjoyed.
You really NEED to read book 1 before you read this book. Part of this story revolves around Tariq and Sara getting married. That story happens to involve a lot of scenes of the couple, Amir and Soraya, who inhabit the other half of the story but those scenes are clearly a continuation of book 1. Seeing Tariq so loving and Warm with Sara was wonderful. Sara getting to have a wedding that she loved was fun. Sara's friendship with Amir was so much fun. Setting up for the next story in the series made sense. I really enjoyed all of these scenes in the book.
Sadly, the portion of the story about Amir and Soraya was not as enjoyable. First, Amir registers as a stalker at points in the story. The author tried to make it seem like he was just incompetent at actually dating but it crossed the line to creepy at times. Second, Soraya played games with Amir. She told him to leave her alone but then didn't follow through with cutting him off when he refused to back off. So that made her kind of a tease. Also, she wouldn't tell him what he was doing wrong beyond showing up at random times. What she wanted was simple, but she wanted him to figure it out on his own. Blah. Third, and this is an issue I have with the series in general, is the idea that the Botros family is traditional. So, Tariq getting a woman pregnant outside wedlock counts as traditional? Or Amir being a womanizer who appears in the tabloids is traditional? It felt like the author wanted to write a series about a traditional family but needed to have romance tropes firmly embedded. It just doesn't work. Finally, Amir is friends with Malik, Soraya's brother, so why not do the traditional things and talk to him about dating Soraya? Oh yeah, because Malik might be mad. Um, but going behind his back is going to be better? Normally, this would be a point of tension in the trope of "I'm dating your younger sister" but this just fell flat. When Malik finds out it was just meh. Just a curious question about the timing of Amir falling for Soraya...Amir was acting funny in book one. For example, he had to run out of the corporate offices to do something and Sara found it very funny. I had thought that Amir's love story would overlap with Tariq and Sara's at that point but no! Amir's love story with Soraya picks up after Sara has her baby and is planning her wedding to Tariq. There is a brief mention that Amir has been showing up for a while everywhere Soraya is hanging out but that's about it. Unfortunately, I love Amir but hate his love story.
I am interested to see what happens next so I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Leslie North has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Soraya and Amir. Amir had grown up with Soraya since he was her brother Malik's best friend. He has had feelings for her for a while and now wants her. He tries to get her to see him but she rejects him. She only knows him as the playboy he was known for. She gets mad at him when he shows up at her work and on campus. She tells him to leave her alone. Amir tries to talk to her but again she rejects him and tells him to stop showing up and leave her alone. He gets his soon-to-be sister-in-law to help him but it doesn't go the way he planned. When Amir takes Sara to the restaurant Soraya works, Soraya hits it off with Sara and ignores Amir. Amir gets Sara to invite Soraya to her and Tariq's wedding. Soraya is sitting at a table and a man is talking to her. When Amir sees her talking to the man, he gets mad and when he can get away from the person he is talking to, he goes up to Soraya and said he needed to speak to her. She tells him to leave since she was talking to the man. Amir tells her that he was married. Amir knows the man and doesn't like him. The man and Amir have words and Soraya gets between them and tells them to stop. She then turns on Amir and lets him have it. He tells her that he wants her and that she would be his. She tells him that she is not his and would never be. She then tells him to leave her alone. Soraya doesn't return Amir's calls or texts. When he shows up again, she wants to know why he is interested in her now when he didn't before. He tells her that he started looking at her differently at Malik's birthday a few years before. She tells him that she doesn't trust him. Amir asked Sara for help again on what he should do to get her to give him a chance. Sara asked Soraya to her bachelorette party. At the party, Sara gets Soraya to talk about her feelings about Amir. After their talk, Soraya has to make a decision about Amir. She had told Sara that Amir thought that she was his and was always doing what he wanted. Sara told her that he liked her and he would come to what he needed to do soon. Sara tells Amir what Soraya had told her and gives him her advice on what he needed to do. Amir has not seen or talked to Soraya in a while she he goes to see her. She is upset that he was there. Before she can tell him to leave, her brother shows up and after seeing Amir there, he gets mad and hits Amir saying that he had slept with his sister. Soraya tells Malik that they had not slept together but even if they had, it was still none of his business. Malik said that she knew what he was like and that he would hurt her in the end. She tells him to trust her and if he couldn't do that, then he could leave. Will Soraya finally give Amir a chance with her? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is book two of the Botros Brothers series and this time it is the turn of Sheikh Amir Botros to fall in love with his best friend Malik’s sister Soraya, who he has known for all of his life. He has a reputation as a womaniser that is well earnt, but for the last few years he has suddenly seen her in a new light and he wants to get her to go out with him. But she doesn’t trust that this isn’t a trick, like many of the childhood tricks he and her brother played on her. She doesn’t believe he is serious, nor that he has truly changed. She is struggling to pay her own way through college, working part time in a restaurant to do so. When he saw her at her brother Malik’s twenty fifth birthday, he saw how free and joyous she looked and he started thinking of her in a different way. Now he wants Soraya to see him as someone she could be interested in, but all she sees is his arrogant and obnoxious behaviour, as he keeps turning up outside her college and at her place of work! She is looking worn out with trying to do everything herself and not rely on her family for anything whilst busy studying on top of work. He wants to make her smile and bring joy back to her life, but he keeps coming round uninvited and won’t leave her alone or take no for an answer!
Soraya had a crush on Amir as a teenager and thought that had gone by the wayside as she got older, but it seems her body still seems to be attracted to him when her head tries to tell her to stay away! He takes her away for an evening jaunt which she didn’t know about and another arranged trip to a fair, but while she enjoys those, she doesn’t like his turning up all the time, unannounced and uninvited! She keeps trying to tell him this is unwanted, but he is determined to have her, no matter what. It will take some people who are close to him, to point out what really needs to be done, since they can see how serious he is, but his way of going around it with Soraya is pushing her away. He has a lesson to learn and he will only figure it out is he has really been listening to what she has been telling him she wants from him. He has to remember all she has said to him recently and listen to her voice on the relationship between them and what she wants from life and her future. Having a dance at Tariq and Sara’s wedding will cause problems for Amir and cause a split that could have long term consequences at work and at home. No path to love is easy, but when one side ignores what the other truly wants, it will take some hard work to get it right. There is still a lot of Tariq and Sara’s storyline in here as well, with their wedding and all the families getting together, which is nice. Can’t wait to see who is next. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend is the second book in the Botros Brother's series by Leslie North. Although this book focuses on a new couple, there is plenty happening with the couple from book 1 (Sara and Tariq) to the point that saying it would be difficult to get into and understand is very likely an understatement.
I've been enjoying a lot of Leslie North books lately, they are fun and easy to read with some really likeable (if not relatable) characters. Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend is no exception. I will admit, I read books 2, 3 and 4 of this book one after the other and so for me part of my opinion is coloured by what I know happens. However, the reason I really wanted to mention that was that I noticed a shift in writing style by North between book 1 and the rest of the series. It isn't a bad thing, it's just interesting. The last three books seem to read like three parts of the same book as the series turns into an ongoing thing that looks at the POV of multiple characters, including the sheikh and his girlfriend, Amir and Soraya, and Tariq and Sara.
I really looked forward to this book. In book 1, Amir, who was Sara's boss instead of his brother, Tariq, really piqued my curiosity. He was a playboy, he was a billionaire, yet at the same time there was something sweet, passionate and light hearted about the man who set him in complete contrast with his older brother. I enjoyed the little easter eggs of hearing from Tariq and Sara's POV on occasion.
On the other hand, when we are introduced to Soraya, we discover that she is the sister to the Botros brothers, Malik, and already a minor character in the series. To be honest I found myself in Malik as well and wanted more of him, or his POV. As for Soraya, she is an interesting mix of sweet, serious, fun and innocent. She and Amir are essentially two sides of the same coin, so it was more than easy to get invested in their relationship.
I suppose I can best describe this as friends to lovers type story. The tone is vastly different than the first book, but good if you want an easy, sweet read. As already mentioned, I had dived straight into the next book after finishing this one, because why would I not?.

Sheikh’s Defiant Girlfriend continues the Botros Brothers series with a fun, sexy, “who is the more stubborn of the two of us” styled romance as arrogant, entitlement meets the harsh reality of one stubborn woman determined to be seen for herself, as an independent person… not someone to be claimed by a man who has never hidden his playboy ways.
I adored Amir in his brother, Tariq’s romance with Sara. His devil-may-care ways and sense of humor often brought a chuckle in the most unexpected places. Yet, frankly, I can see where his “I want you, I claim you, I own you” attitude toward Soraya would result in exactly what he got… shut down every single time. Amir doesn’t know how to be anything but an entitled prince. Anything he’s ever wanted he simply goes after… even if that something is a person. Watching him try to win over Soraya’s attention and interest was at times, cringe-worthy in the sense of he just doesn’t get how he’s sounding to anyone else. I loved watching the power struggle between this couple and was completely behind Soraya’s determination to have Amir really see her as an independent woman who made the choice to be with him as opposed to the “claimed” woman of a sheikh.
It was pure delight to see Amir get that “aha” moment, when what Soraya had been telling him finally came together in his mind. It was so simple, yet so complex to Amir’s mindset.
The other part of this story that I enjoyed was the continuation in a way of Tariq and Sara’s romance. We get to go along as Sara navigates the wedding plans and comes to an understanding with the other important woman in Tariq’s life… his mother.
In all, I had a blast back in this world. Soraya is such a breath of fresh air in Amir’s life, and he’s only beginning to understand the implications of a woman in his life that is his partner in all things.

MY REVIEW: As much as I love Leslie North’s sheikhs, this missed the mark a bit.
Although this is book 2 in the series, it felt as if I was still reading about the couple from book one. The main characters in this book are supposed to be Soraya and Amir, yet they felt like supporting characters.
The ending is also pretty abrupt.
That said, I still enjoyed it and will read the entire series to the conclusion.
This is a quick read and can easily be finished in an hour. I do think you should read the first book before reading this one, as I do not think it can be read as a standalone.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout in return for my honest review.
I find Shiekh Amir to be extremely funny, most of the time. I loved him in the first book. In this book, it is all about him and the secret he was keeping in the first book. Soraya, a woman he has known since she was young, as she is Malik’s sister. It starts off with him picking her up from work and offering her a ride home. His antics trying to gain her attention are both hysterical and extremely romantic. He fell for her a while ago and is now trying to prove to her he won’t break her heart, like he did with the women he used to date. From horseback riding, to showing up at her work quite a bit, to just showing up where he knew she would be- well, he is a little pathetic with how much he feels for her, but it is cute too. I knew that when Malik finds out, he would be a problem. He is. lol as he has big brother syndrome.
He introduces Sara, his former assistant and now his elder brother, Tariq’s wife. They have little Leylah. She is adorable and we get to see Sara’s family. Sara’s brothers try to use big brother syndrome on Tariq. I laughed my bum off. The book is extremely enjoyable and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This author rarely disappoints. I love 99% of her work.
Soraya is working and still in school. She is amazing and doesn’t put up with any BS from Amir or her brother. A truly fun read. My stomach still hurts from laughing so hard and I keep hearing some of Amir’s antics and arguments between Soraya and Amir. Lol.

This is the 2nd book in the Botros Brothers series featuring the enchanting best friends sister romance between Amir and Soraya. As we continue in this series the wedding preparations are underway for Tariq and Sara so we get to see more of them in this story. We also learn who Amir was interested in who he was chasing after in the first book it's Soraya who Amir has known all of her life since her brother Malik is his best friend. Soraya knows all about Amir and his playboy ways and she refuses to be treated like that she wants to be loved and respected so she's not even listening to anything that he has to say. As far as she's concerned he's a player but Amir keeps showing up where she is trying to talk to her and make her see he only wants her. Soraya is mad that he keeps showing up and she tells him to leave her alone. Will Soraya ever actually listen to Amir and give a relationship between them a chance? You really need to read this enchanting best friends sister romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

The Benefits Of Listening - Soraya used to have a crush on her brother’s best friend, Amir, but she soon got over it as she saw the number of women he was associated with in the newspaper. Unfortunately, Amir decided to turn his attention on her, which she found problematic, as she just wanted to concentrate on her education and working, instead of being one of his floozies.
Soraya tried everything she could think of to keep Amir at arms length, but his persistence only heightened to the extent of borderline obsession. Luckily, Amir’s brother whom everyone deemed cold and unromantic, was able to guide him on the right way to get Soraya to give him a chance. At long last, his attitude change gave Soraya the courage to give him a chance at embarking on a relationship.
I really enjoyed the Soraya and Amir’s love story, however, I felt this story was geared more towards Sara and Tariq, with bits of Soraya and Amir’s journey to finding happiness woven into the story. It is still a definite must read book and I am happy to recommend it.

Past actions don’t always stay in the past. THIS IS BOOK TWO! READ BOOK ONE FIRST! Awesome book. Amir’s past catches up with him when he finds the perfect woman. He does everything he can to prove to her that she’s the only one he wants. Unfortunately, she doesn’t believe him. Soraya refuses to be another notch on his post. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. It definitely won’t be her. She keeps telling Amir to leave her alone but, he is always showing up whenever she is. When they attend Tariq and Sara’s wedding he makes it clear that she is the only woman that he wants. She returns his feelings but, tells him that she doesn’t trust him not to get bored and move on as is his M.O. Then there’s her brother/his best friend to contend with when he finds out and goes after Amir. He is miserable after he is kicked out of her house when he goes just talk to Soraya. How does he convince her that he loves her when he can’t even admit it to himself? Defiant? No Soraya is just protecting her heart.

This is book 2 and I enjoyed this one just as much as I did the first and I loved the characters from book 1 showing up as well. Sheikh Amir Botros is a playboy at heart and has now set his eyes on Soraya who is a family friend because her brother Malik is his best friend but she refuses his advances at every turn. Soraya is has known Amir for a long time as her brother’s best friend and she has seen him date many women and now he is after her but she keeps pushing him away and doesn’t want to get involved even if he is as sexy as hell and when he kisses her she forgets everything but walks away. Amir sees Soraya and Sarah his brother fiancée who are getting married and he asks Sarah to invite Soraya to the wedding so he can be close to her and hopefully change her mind. When Malik storms in accusing them both of sleeping together he strikes out at Amir and Soraya tries to stop them but how does it all turn out and can she trust him not to break her heart.

I was curious to see what the author would do for Amir's love story. In some ways, she didn't disappoint.
First of all, why are we getting Tariq's and Sara's POV in Amir's book? It's not like the plot would have gone off the rails if we didn't get their perspectives. Sure, it was a nice touch, but the shifting from one character's perspective to the other's was a bit jarring. And because we didn't get to see Amir and Soraya as much, we didn't fully connect to Soraya. Amir, on the other hand, was adorable, but we didn't see him as a womanizing partier because there were absolutely NO scenes where he wasn't a huge simp for Soraya.
Second, I know the author's trying to keep things vague about where they are, but why would a Middle-Eastern Sheikh wear a cream sherwani to his wedding? And why on earth would they KISS in a mosque even though it's a multicultural wedding? That is just not done.
Second book in the "Botros Brothers" series with each one being stand alone, but the story continued seamlessly with Amir trying to steam roll the girl of his dreams into a relationship. Soraya had known Amir all her life with her brother, Malik being bestfriends with Amir and Tariq. Amir was used to getting everything instantly without asking, but Soraya was was a strong independent woman that had to work for what she wanted. She wanted to be treated with respect as a person not an object to be obtained. The story was interlaced with wedding preparation for Tariq and Sara's big day that everyone was looking forward too. The Botros brothers may be great at running a business, but they sure got lucky when Sara decided to relocate from England to help them with their problems with women and business. Greatly enjoyed this enchanting story.

His best laid plans maybe aren't really the best In Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend (Botros Brothers Book 2) by Leslie North, Sheikh Amir's attention of Soraya has shifted from his best friend's little sister to the love of his life. Unfortunately, his plans to woo her only push her away. Amir had me shaking my head. He's full steam ahead without consideration of Soraya's wants and needs. While Amir fumbles and despairs when grand plan after plan falls flat with Soraya. I really enjoyed this book as it includes POV from Sarah and Tariq. It's a refreshing peek at how well their HEA is coming along as well as helpful input for both Amir and Soraya. Overall, Amir finally listens and is more than willing to provide Soraya what she needs. In return, Soraya finally lets her heart open to Amir and this couple is well on their way to their very own HEA. Persistent Sheikh just spinning his wheels! Sheikh Amir Botros is not used to being snubbed especially when he sets his mind on someone. Amir has been spending time with his brother Tariq, his fiancée Sara and their new baby Leylah, and Amir likes it. He wants this peace, love, and his own child. This need is intensified by reconnecting with his friend Malik’s sister, Soraya. This is a cat-and-mouse scenario once Amir decides that Soraya “is the one”. Soraya “knows” what a spoiled arrogant player Amir is and though she has feeling for him she doesn’t want to end up hurt. Amir is a sweet, kind, and fun guy; he’s just used to charming his way through everything and always getting his way. After being rebuffed constantly by Soraya, Amir just asks for a date and surprise! Soraya accepts! This story is filled with the Botros family members, Sara and Tariq’s wedding, and a new baby. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and this is my opinion. Linda
The Botros brothers are back again for another sharing of a story with the younger brother, Amir. He is such a overall happy, and complex character. He always has that air of light and fun, but you get the impression he is a good man.
He has somehow fallen in love with Soraya, his best friends younger sister. Life is so different in the middle east, but Leslie makes it work so easily. She respects both cultures but allows them both to flourish. Amir has always been knowing as the playboy, but he wants nothing more than to be with Soraya. Soraya has seen Amir's years of going through women without so much as a commitment or girlfriend. She just can't understand why he would want her.
The story from book 1 of Sara and Tariq continues of their journey up to marriage and the welcome of their baby girl.
Leslie is an outstanding writer. You will find yourself seamlessly thumbing page to page until there aren't any left!!.
In the second book of the Botros Brothers series, Sheikh Amir Botros finds himself falling for Soraya, his best friend Malik's sister, whom he's known his whole life. Despite Amir's notorious playboy reputation, he's recently begun seeing Soraya differently, wanting her to reciprocate his feelings. However, Soraya, trying to be independent by working and studying, is wary of his intentions given past childhood pranks. She's exhausted from her endeavors and, while she once had feelings for Amir during her teens, she's irritated by his uninvited and frequent appearances. Amir's attempts to woo her, including surprise outings, further alienate her. Close friends recognize Amir's sincerity, but unless he truly listens to Soraya's desires and needs, their relationship is doomed. A significant event at Tariq and Sara’s wedding strains their budding relationship even further. While this story revolves around Amir and Soraya, readers also get glimpses into Tariq and Sara's continued narrative, adding a familial touch.
I loved Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend Book 2 of Botros Brothers. In book 2 we find out more of Tariq and Sara’s story. As well, we finally find out who Amir was pursuing in book 1. Soraya is Amir’s best friends sister and he’s know her almost her whole life but he’s always been a player and that’s keeping her from giving him her heart. Soraya wants to believe Amir but he doesn’t listen to her, just tries to be the bossy Sheikh he is. With the wedding between Tariq and Sara now over it’s time for Amir and Soraya to begin their story. I loved this story and how Amir is putting himself out there to show Soraya how much he cares. I can’t wait for book 3. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

He may want her but that does not mean he is going to get her
The Sheikh's Defiant Girlfriend is the second book in the Botros Brothers series. This book was previously released in 2014 but I do not know if anything has been changed, edited, or added, as I never read the original book. The story is about Soraya and Amir but also includes Sara and Tariq, from the first book, and their preparations and wedding. I enjoyed this easy and entertaining read. I really loved that Soraya would not give in to Amir even though he kept pursuing her, sometimes with unintended consequences. But he is a man who seems to be possessed by the beauty and will not give up no matter how many times she turns him away. Will he eventually wear her down enough for even one date so he can prove to her he is serious in the best way possible.
Sweet and charming read this second book focuses on younger brother Amir who after years of being in the tabloids with a variety of women now sees his best mate's little sister Soraya in a whole new light, deciding she is one woman for him. Soraya is not ready to fall at his feet because he has now decided she is the only one for him. She is independent and strong and a heroine I greatly admired throughout the storyline. Much of the book is about Amir's attempts to win Soraya over, however, there were some lovely moments scattered through the story following on from where Sara and Tariq left off in book 1 which was an added bonus.
Looking forward to the next story to be released in the series.

The Botros Brother’s series is the second Leslie North series that I have read and I’m enjoying it so far. This book focuses on Amir the younger brother of Tariq who was an MMC for book one. Amir is known as a billionaire playboy who is very lighthearted and has a sweet side and a wicked sense of humor which puts him in contrast with his older brother. Soraya is the younger sister of Malik who is a childhood friend of the Botros brother’s and also a manager at their company. She is a mix of sweet and serious and determined to succeed on her own terms. The tone of this book is different than book one but I still enjoyed it.

Soraya is in college but soon to graduate. She is also working at a restaurant. Sheikh Amir is trying to get close to her, but she comes across as not wanting anything to do with him. She cares for him but knows he is a player. He is also best friends with her brother Milak and she knows her brother won’t be happy if they start seeing each other. Amir gets Sara, his soon to be sister-in-law, to help him figure out what he can do to show her he is serious and not just playing around. For one thing he shows up unannounced at her school and her work and she lets him know that isn’t acceptable. Will he ever be able to show her she is the one for him.

This is book 2 of the Botros Brothers. Amir is the known playboy and he now has shown a lot of interest in Soraya, his best friend Malik’s sister. Soraya, Malik and Amir grew up together but now he sees her as a woman and she is all he thinks about. The only problem being he thinks he can pop up in her life any time he wants without notice. She has asked him not to do that but he just doesn’t listen. He enables the help from Sara, his soon to be sister in law. Malik is not happy to discover Amir is pursuing his sister because he knows of his playboy days and doesn’t want his sister hurt. Cute storyline and interesting characters.

Soraya, a woman he has known since she was young, as she is Malik’s sister. It starts off with him picking her up from work and offering her a ride home. He has had feelings for her for a while and now wants her. He tries to get her to see him but she rejects him. She only knows him as the playboy. Amir tries to talk to her but again she rejects him and tells him to stop showing up and leave her alone. He gets his soon to be sister-in-law to help him but it doesn't go the way he planned. When Amir takes Sara to the restaurant Soraya works, she hits it off with Sara and ignores Amir. Amir gets Sara to invite Soraya to her and Tariq's wedding.

Amir Botros has a reputation as a playboy because he has been one. But when he sees his childhood friend Soraya all grown up he changes his outlook. He just has to have her. She is the one. But with his reputation Soraya wants nothing to do with Amir. Just because Amir grew up around Soraya does he really know her? That is Soraya's question to Amir, does he want her because he sees a challenge or does he want her for herself. I loved this novella, it's well written and thoughtful. Kinda left us with a cliffhanger but I'm hoping the next book resolves those issues. Wonderful sweet story.

Sheikh Amir lives a charmed life. He always gets what he wants. When he suddenly sees his friend’s little sister, Soraya, in a different light, it changes his life. Soraya is fiercely independent and determined to have a career. She works at a restaurant while studying in college. Amir comes to her school and the restaurant when she works. His intention is obvious. Soraya doesn’t trust Amir from his childhood pranks, and his current reputation as a womanizer doesn’t help either. Even though she thinks Amir is sexy, she demands his respect. She really teaches Amir a good lesson about how to treat a woman right. Until he does so, they can be a happy couple.
Soraya is the sister of Sheikh Amir Botros’s best friend. The two have known each other a long time and she has seen his “player” ways. So now that he is trying to aggressively make her his, she doesn’t believe he is serious. This is not how to attract a woman! He needs to convince her that his feelings for her are real and that he sincerely wants a forever relationship with her. But not communicating properly, not listening and interacting with her, he just comes off as an obnoxious, commanding, bossy bully. Is he willing to change his approach with her and show her the respect she deserves?
