Discipleship: The Road Less Taken

Rate this book
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD DISCIPLE?

Faces in a stained-glass church window? Twelve guys in robes and sandals who tramped around Judea with Jesus?

Here's the real question: Do you think of yourself? Are you a disciple of Jesus Christ? Do you know what it means to be one?

True discipleship means living the Christian life the way it was meant to be lived. Some people in our day might think it's "radical." The Bible, however, calls it normal. The first-century believers who followed Jesus wholeheartedly were men and women who turned their world upside down, living that life as they had personally learned it from Jesus Himself.

You can live that way, too! It doesn't have to be ancient history. You can be His disciple right here and now, in the twenty-first century. And here's a book that will help and encourage you on that exciting road.

This book was a very good review for me. I especially liked his chapters on the importance of reading the Bible and prayer. The author is very frank and real, which I appreciate.
