My dad passed away when I was a child, and I've been messed up ever since, going as far as treating my family horribly. They are the best, and I've alienated them all.
I'm a recluse of my own making. I thought I was fine in my solitude until I found her bloodied, bruised, and freezing to death on my property.
My life is being interrupted and I'm not dealing well, but her smile makes me think everything will be all right, even if the scowl her young son sends me reminds me it's not.
She's keeping secrets, and I want them all, including her heart.

nice start to a new series

This author has such a unique way of writing her stories. I loved the Healing series and this book, the first for the next generation, looks like it is the start of another great series. As always the author carries us through the angst and of figuring out the ups and downs of life and love. Drew is broken from memories of his childhood and Ashley is broken for other reasons but the minute the two come together sparks fly. So I don't give too much away, let's just say AShley's strength and sweet disposition is exactly what Drew needed to finally put his past behind him. Great read! Cant wait to see what comes next.

I am in love with this book. It caught my attention immediately and I didn't want to put it down. I was a real page turner. Drew is an awesome character with a heart of gold, he has had some obstacles in his life and means well. One night he finds Ashley and his life literally changes from that moment on.
Ashley has lots of secrets and deserves a good man in her life to adore her and take care of her. She runs into some trouble one night and then finds herself in an unusual predicament and needs help and finds the best kind there is.
This book is really great, and I love all the support from friends and family. I see this turning into a series and I am so looking forward to it.

Book 1 of The Healing Series, The Next Generation
Oh my gosh, I didn’t realize how much I missed the original series and now we have the next generation!! Kelly, thank you for giving us this!
We watched the struggles of the parents/families of these characters and now we get to see how they help heal their own.
Drew and Ashley, both a broken and they feel that there is no hope and they will never know the true meaning of happiness and finding love but in this book, they find the comfort and healing not only from their families but from each other.

Healing Series Next Gen
Kelly continues with the Healing Series but with the next generation of children all grown up now. This one is about Drew and you finally get to see what caused Drew's bad behavior as a growing child. He meets Ashley, who is as broken as he is but in a different way. As usual, Kelly takes us on a wild ride through all their ups and downs and thankfully gives us a happy ending. This was a very good read for me.

I loved this book. Kelly continued The Healing Series with Drew. He’s a grown man and is put in the same situation as Dylan was with him. This makes him take a better look at himself and Dylan. It was so good to see our favorite characters again and a resolution. Ashley has issues of her own she is dealing with. But together they find answers and peace.
