This second book in the series is a nail-biter! Lizzie, AKA Seagrove, is sent back to France to work with a Resistance group in Paris. The SOE used female agents in occupied France because healthy adult men would be conspicuous and they operated completely on their own. Living in Paris during the Nazi Occupation must have been terrifying, even more so when you're committing acts of sabotage and sending radio messages. (Seagrove & Raven's red-hot relationship made me nervous because love can make you stupid and stupid can get you killed.) I enjoyed getting to know Hannah in this book, although her fearlessness in confronting Nazis made my blood pressure soar. These women were so brave and I look forward to the next book.

Fabulous!

After reading the first book in this series I couldn't wait to read book two. And what an amazing sequel it is.
A story of two lovers, both working as secret agents for Britain, they must keep their relationship a secret from the powers that be.
But during their secret missions in occupied France, will they really have a future together? Staring death in the face at times, they are determined to make every minute count. Fantastic storytelling. Highest recommendations!

Harrowing

This series of the SOE agents and the role they played in liberating Paris in WWII is absolutely enthralling. The uncompromising bravery of Lizzie and Jack and Hannah was mirrored by hundreds of others who struggled against the Nazis behind the scenes. I doubt any of us could imagine assuming disguises and false identity papers and mixing with German soldiers every day. It's edge of your seat reading. I love the characters and I love this series. I can barely wait a month for book 3.

Excellent Story

This is a fast paced story about the women who fight in the resistance and all the situations they get into. These stories are based on real characters and what they went through. The research for the story is excellent. The writing of the story is incredible. This is well worth your time do dead it.
