You enjoyed rowing along with mum today. She borrowed this story from the library on your behalf. This story ran through one versus of the nursery rhyme, which was perfect for you at 10 Weeks old, but mum wanted to learn some new versus.

I don't suppose there's anything wrong with it, but the illustrations are too cutesy for me. Moreover, the entire book is aggressively pink. I hesitate to keep it in my classroom library, lest it encourage my students to divide themselves along gender lines even more than they do already. I don't need "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to acquire a gender.

Our protagonists--a dog and a cat, in a rowboat--might be on acid, judging by how they perceive and interact with their surroundings.

But yes, the song you remember. In just one verse. And they got the lyrics right, so there's that.
