*sigh* I was looking for fluffy after a couple disappointing choices. I didn't make it last 10%. Even fluff needs a little substance, something to hook your attention.
Her Silver Fox Mountain Men is sexy, titillating, and Hot reverse harem.
More than one man. What a fantasy, but it is that fantasy that comes true. Men who do the right thing to protect others and especially those they love. They love with their whole beings. Good story and loveable characters.
*Her Silver Fox Mountain Men* is an intriguing take on the reverse harem trope, blending military themes with romance. While it wasn't the best I've read, it certainly had its moments.
The steam factor was decent, providing a satisfying amount of heat without overshadowing the story. I particularly enjoyed the characters and their interactions—Elise was well-developed, but I wish we had seen more depth with the men. Their backgrounds, especially the twins' mother, left me wanting more detail and clarity.
One area that could use improvement is the pacing; the story felt longer than necessary. There were a few inconsistencies that threw me off, such as the reference to Elise's pregnancy. They kept referring to it as one baby, yet both Elise and the doctor confirmed it was twins. Additionally, on page 222, they mention "all of us plus one more," despite the earlier confirmation of twins.
Another minor issue was a chapter labeled 'James' where the character should have been 'Roman,' causing some confusion. These inconsistencies distracted me from fully immersing in the story.
Overall, *Her Silver Fox Mountain Men* is a fun read with room for improvement. Fans of the genre might enjoy it, but be prepared for a few hiccups along the way.
I loved Her Silver Fox Mountain Men. Elise has found a home in Rustic, unfortunately her past may be catching up to her. Meeting James, Oliver, and Roman was fate. Not only are they former military but they all want her, together. It’s unconventional but it works for them and she’s willing to try. When things start happening that make her think the past has found her she knows she needs to leave. Throw in the guys ex who is giving her trouble and she’s at her wits end. She now has another secret and she’s overwhelmed. The guys found out the truth and now they will protect her. I loved the story and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

Really enjoyed this.....the suspense was good, there was plenty of spice and with Bratva family and ex army mountain men what more could you possibly want 🥵🔥🌶️
Sometimes, on a very rare occasion, you just gotta say “fuck it” and read a book that sounds absolutely insane(:
I love it when authors spins a story out of nothing, with characters with no background or personality, and no questions what so ever are answered throughout the book. Anyways, smut wasn’t even that decent
Too Stupid To Live Heroine is a major pet peeve of mine. I absolutely hate when the lone, untrained, vulnerable woman decides she knows best in a highly dangerous situation. Leaving three ex-military men who run a freaking security company to "keep them safe" was beyond idiotic. Add to that the way the mobster were written to just go along with everything suggested about one of their own, lol. Would never ever happen. All of that ruined the romance aspect for me. This book started out so well too, such a shame.
I tried to DNF this one but I am a glutton for punishment. Corny, at best. At least I’m a fast reader and didn’t waste too much time that I’ll never get back.
A thrilling tale of survival, love, and redemption set against the rugged beauty of Silver Ridge.
Elise, a fiercely independent woman with a mysterious and painful past, has moved to the mountains to escape her old life. One stormy night, her solitude is shattered when she finds herself cornered by prowling mountain lions, desperate to break into her remote cabin. In a moment of panic, she calls James, her enigmatic neighbor and one of three older, ruggedly handsome men who have become legends in the small town. What begins as a simple rescue transforms into a complex, heartwarming love story that intertwines danger, healing, and passion.
James arrives to save Elise. James, Oliver and Roman confront not only the mountain lions but also Elise's guarded heart and the darkness from her past that refuses to stay buried. As the story unfolds, we see each man offer a unique connection to Elise: Roman with his protective strength, Oliver with his quiet wisdom, and James with his unyielding devotion.
While the book is undeniably engaging, certain aspects could benefit from more depth. The characters’ backstories, especially Elise’s dark past, feel underexplored, leaving readers wanting more insight into what shaped her into the woman she is. Similarly, Roman, Oliver, and James could use further development to flesh out their personalities beyond their initial impressions.
Her Silver Fox Mountain Men is a delightful mix of romance, suspense, and emotional growth. Despite some missed opportunities for deeper character development, the story’s fast-paced action and heartfelt relationships make it a page-turner. Fans of romance with mature heroes and strong-willed heroines will savor every moment of this thrilling love story.

So... I'm generally pretty easy going when it comes to rating books. If it was decently written, entertained me, and was not annoying, it's going to get at least 4 stars.
Were these characters silver foxes? No. They were in their 40s with a few gray hairs. Were they mountain men? No. Sure, they lived on a mountain, but they were retired Army Rangers own a private security company. One of them did wear flannel though.
Was there any emotional connection between the four main characters? No. It was basically "we all want to do you at the same time" and she was like "I'm good with that." But then they're all in love? And no angst about the situation at all? From any of them? There's no depth to any of the characters.
Oh, and by the way, she's married to the son of the head of the Russian mob and he's looking for her. So let's call in all of our tactical friends - which the local police and feds have no issue with - to save the girl. Shoot up the town! Mob boss alert! Kidnapping! It's like this book tried to switch from smut to a shoot-em-up thriller, but neither was believable.
Plus don't get me started on the fact that she was pregnant with twins and everyone knew that, but then everyone (including the pregnant mom-to-be) kept referring to the baby. Singular. Multiple times. Example - one of the baby daddies says, "We need to make sure that you and the baby are okay." WTF??? BABIES. It should be "babies!" It's almost as if it was initially written with one baby but then the author went back and changed it to twins but then didn't change all of the other instances that referred to the baby/babies. Was this not proofread/edited???
Two stars instead of one because I'm nice and hey, good for the author for writing a book.

Elise asks her neighbour for help when she unexpected guests! It's decided for her that she needs to stay with him until her home is secure.
James shares his home with Oliver, Roman, and his twin daughters Ainsley and Tricia. The men run a private security firm.
Elise works at the local diner, she is fairly new to the area as she had to leave her old life behind. Hopefully, without leaving a trail of where she went once she learned what her husband was truly capable of.
A relationship starts between her and the men. She soon fits in with their lifestyle and family. But things start going awry when she thinks she has seen her husband in town. Can she tell the men the truth, especially when she finds out more news, or is it her cross to bear and she has to leave again before she is found?

I really wanted to like this book. I really did. Sadly, it just wasn't that good.
All of the characters were one dimensional and I really didn't like or dislike any of them because I didn't feel like I knew any of them. Especially the main character, Elise.
The spice was minimal and the suspense was just eh.
I'm not picky about errors but this definitely had some. When talking about twins, it suddenly in the very next sentence was about one child. Then back to twins later in the story. Like the author couldn't figure out if she wanted it to be 1 or 2 babies. I found that to be very distracting.
Elise is on the run and living in a rundown cabin in a small town. She hears noises outside and realizes she's in danger and calls her neighbor who she's never talked to before. He runs over, picks her up in his arms and races her back to his house. Why? Turns out her house was being broken into by mountain lions.
Elise then meets the 3 men who live in the house with 2 adorable little girls. She, of course, ends up falling for all 3 but can't tell them her secret and ends up putting them all in danger.
This could have been such a great story. I wanted to know more about each person but, sadly, it just seemed to be a quick story with some sex and danger that feel flat.
I definitely don't recommend. I definitely don't recommend. Sadly
Holy wow! I did the preview on this book wondering if I would like it and I was hooked! There is never a dull moment in this story. I felt like I was right in the middle of the story most of the book.
The way these men helped a woman they didn’t know escape a situation she may not have walked away from, twice, was really magical. I thoroughly enjoyed watching these four fall in love. The little girls were absolutely adorable.
I appreciated that each guy had their own personality. Sometimes guys in why choose books have personalities way too similar and it’s hard to differentiate between them.
This story is so much more than just a story. It’s about taking a stand for what’s right even if the best plan is to run. It’s about letting people in once you’ve been hurt before. It’s about jumping with both feet not knowing if they’ll be there to catch you on the other side.
These men walked through literal hell and back for their women and we all need book boyfriends like this in our lives!
100% recommend to anyone who loves mountain men, silver foxes, single dads, and why choose!
I really enjoyed this book. I read a lot of her books and will continue to read them. The MFC who I’ll refer to as E was a good, strong, female character with a lot of backbone. She is chased out of her cabin by mountain lions and moves in with the MMHs referred to as J.O. &R. She falls for J first who is the father of twin girls. She goes on a date with O and meets their ex Shana who is a b!tch. After her date she learns about the guy’s preferences for sharing. They find out her ex is Russian Bratva and is looking for her. Here is where I deduct a star. E knows she is having twins but whenever they are mentioned it is a baby or a child never babies or children it’s very confusing if the author made a mistake and isn’t having twins but later she says twins again and it goes back and forth. You never really know till the epilogue that they are definitely twins. The story kept you engaged till the end and I will recommend. I will give accolades to the author for saying retired and former when mentioned the military service instead of ex military which is a huge insult to veterans.
This is a suspense filled reverse harem romance story.Elise is running from danger she is living in the mountains.one night she's lying in bed reading when she hears scratching noises and something big is trying to get in the cabin the doors are not string the windows even worse but the landlord hasn't fixed it.if she calls the sheriff shell be food by the time they get to her.She calls the number for the neighbor who has a car for sale. She says James I'm your neighbor and I think a big cat is trying to get in an the windows won't hold foe long in scared the line goes dead then she hears a shot then knocking at the door he says it's makes she opens the door an he scoops her up an says you can stay at my place til the cabin is fixed up. He is so hot and has so many muscles when they get to his house which is big she meets his friends who live there they aren't too.James says my twin daughters are asleep you can meet them tomorrow. She knows living there is gonna be dangerous because she's attracted to all threemen. I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talentedauthor.
“We’re neighbors, and neighbors help each other out. You’ve been around long enough for us to tell you’re a decent woman. You keep to yourself, stay out of trouble, keep up the cabin. And now you need help. Rustic is full of good folks. We are happy to do it; doesn’t cost us a thing.” 'I can’t help but let a heavy sigh roll from my chest, relief washing over me. I’ve been on edge for so long, constantly looking over my shoulder, always afraid to be found…'
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Elise and the three guys- James, Oliver, and Roman. The story starts off exciting from the very first page as Elise hears mountain lions scratching to get into the cabin she's renting. Not knowing what else to do, she calls her neighbor, who run over right away with a shotgun, picks her up, and carries her to his cabin with his friends and twin daughters. I love the way the relationship between them grows. Ainsley and Tricia are adorable. I love the feeling of family. There are some secrets, and Elise has run from her past...
I thought this would be full of smut but surprisingly, there is quite a bit of plot. I'm not complaining about the lack of smut but to be honest, I wish there was less plot and more romance. I felt very disconnected from Oliver and Roman. I couldn't feel the love and connection between Elise and all 3 of her men. It didn't feel like an equal relationship because we got more from James so it felt like she and James were the main dish, and Oliver and Roman are just appetisers on the side.
Also wished we had more bonding moments between Elise and the twins. I didn't feel the family bond between all of them forming at all.
Overall, there was more focus on the mafia plot than the romance and family aspects which made it hard to feel invested in the characters and their relationship. Lowkey wish the mafia part didn't exist because I came for a mountain romance not a mafia romance and the plot was so full of mafia that it took away from the romance.
The pace is off and the dialogue is awkward at times. I’d give the spice a 3 and that’s because it’s why choose - the actual scenes are severely lacking in depth.
It’s also literally called her Silver Foxes but the MMC descriptions don’t fit that.
The relationships go from 0-100 without any real build or context. Some background on the guys is mentioned but not explored and the time progression is just odd.
Overall it feels like a second draft that still needs major editing still. There are name inconsistencies that confuse conversations, typos and a twin pregnancy that’s sometimes twins sometimes singleton, like it was written as a singleton then the author changed her mind but didn’t change all references (several chapters).
Characters are great, setting is great, the concept is there it just needs MORE. More background, more building, more editing.
I picked up Her Silver Fox Mountain Men: A Military Reverse Harem Romance hoping for a quick, engaging read. While the premise had potential, the beginning felt a bit chaotic, and it took a while for the story to find its rhythm. Things became more interesting once the female lead moved into the neighboring cabin with three men and two children, but unfortunately, by around 20% in, I decided to DNF (Did Not Finish) the book.
The story lacked sufficient background, leaving too many gaps that the reader was expected to fill. The narrative felt disjointed, especially during conversations between the male POVs—dialogue often blurred together, making it hard to follow. What really let me down, though, was the sudden jump into sexual scenes without any real buildup. I would’ve preferred a slower burn—subtle touches, lingering glances, or those breath-catching moments as the characters adjusted to their new dynamic. Without that tension or emotional depth, the story just didn’t work for me.
This is another great read from Kai Lesy. I had a range of emotions that were from fear of mountain lions getting her to elation of being rescued, then scared again as her past catches up to her, then happiness then scared, thinking she was crazy and ending in happiness.
Elise is a waitress at the local diner and has been on the run from her husband for a year or more now. Elise is hiding from the Bratva with evidence that can bring down the oldest son. When mountain lions attack her cabin her next door neighbor James comes to the rescue after her call.
What happens to her cabin? Where will she stay? What does James's roommates and best friends have to say about the situation? How do they feel about Elise? How does she feel about them? How does James's twin girls react to Elise? So many questions that you have to read the book to find the answers to!
Elise has been hiding in a small mountain town hoping to not be found. One night she finds her cabin being broken into. But it's not who she would expect the offenders is a pack of mountain lions. She called her neighbor who had a car sale in hopes of help. James comes over immediately and saves her. He also let's her stay with him, his teins and bestfriends Oliver and Roman. The Guys are ex rangers who now run a security company. They noticed Elise around town but also realized she is hiding from something. They share everything including women sometimes. Now isn't any different all three want her and will protect Elise as well. Elise finds that her past is catching up with her. She is worried that she must leave before her problems get the guys, their family and friends hurt.

This was a really exciting story, and I was engaged from the moment I started to the very last page. When Elise finds herself in danger of mountain lions breaking into her cabin in the mountains, she knows that her neighbours James, Oliver and Roman are her best bet to protect her. What Elise doesn’t realise is that these three men will become more important to her as time passes. My husband who she has run away from, is finally closing in on her and she needs her men to protect her. The story was full on and full of action and drama, as well as hot, steamy moments between these characters. There is a happy ending for all involved.

Her Silver Fox Mountain Men is part of the Lucky Lady Reverse Harems series. This is an RH romance between Elise, James, Oliver and Roman. She has moved to the mountains to a remote cabin. Late one night she hears scratching and discovers that there are mountain lions trying get into the cabin. She phones her nearest neighbor, James, and he comes to her rescue. He will not leave her at her cabin and instead takes her to his cabin. This is where she meets Oliver and Roman, his best friends. They take her in, not letting her go and instead bring her into their family and their beds. Elise may have been trying to get away from her old life and she definitely does that fully with these men and their children.
This book is exciting and full of heat and heart. When some mountain lions decide to overtake Elise cabin she didn’t expect her call to her neighbor James to change her whole life. James, Oliver, and Roman are best friends who live together raising James twin daughters. The three of them own a business together and share every part of their lives even women. When mountain lions bring their neighbor into their lives they get a chance to really get to know her. Will she be the woman that they have been looking for that can handle more with the three of them? What happens when the life that Elise is escaping from comes back? This book is packed with action and the twin girls add so much fun.
Elise is on the run and hiding from her abusive, Bratva husband in the Colorado mountains. When mountain lions try to get in her cabin, she calls her neighbor for help. James, Oliver and Roman are business partners and best friends that share more than their home. Raising twin girls together they invite Elise to stay with them and sparks begin to fly. This is a steamy RH romance that heats up the pages quickly, there is a good plot, plenty of action and a connection between the four of them that melts the heart. Another great RH read by Ms. Lesy.

I was so involved in this story I lost track of time till I finished it
What an author , she just makes the story fly. I enjoyed the characters You felt the fear, The surprise and the love... It's not a quick romcom story at all. This has intrigue, suspense And a whole lot of love. You felt for the main character as she struggles trying to make A quiet quick life for herself and boy does that get twisted around. As you as you go through this story with the author who has an excellent Writing skill without a doubt, Fill your right in the action as a story is happening and that's a unique talent to have.
