Alright now Aja! Love me a quick, sexy novella and you served me that on a silver platter! Janelle and Malcolm went to Aspen for the weekend for a reset and recharge from their jobs and life, but ended up with so much more. Forced to stay in close quarters was the perfect backdrop for the chemistry that was crackling from the time they met in line at registration.

Once they had a conversation and learned that they both grew up in the same town, and had similar careers, it was all up from there. Both deciding a fling was okay for two consulting adults, turned into passion, adoration, caring, and ultimately love. I loved these two, and hope that we get to see them again in the future.

The Weekend, Baby!

If this is what a snowed in weekend looks like-then, I am in. Give me ten to go.
Janelle and Malcolm were double booked into the same lodge and same quarters. That doesn't sound too complicated, unless you and said man have chemistry hotter than the Serengeti in Summer. Then.... that weekend we spoke earlier about turns into a freaking dream for Janelle and Malcolm. I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know about how this writer, because, she tells a sensual story. You need to read this one. The Weekend, was steamy!

Magical

What a beautiful love story. This is the author's writing signature. She gives us magical and breathtaking romance that is very intimate and authentic. The coupling of Janelle and Malcolm in a snowstorm where they began as strangers but ended as lovers was magical. Their chemistry was explosive and by the end I wanted more. I love how they both struggled with the pace and fortunately got out of their heads and embraced their reality of love. This story felt so real and genuine. I applaud this author's writing style and her consistency pays off every time. 4.5 🌟

I absolutely loved Malcolm and Janelle's journey! Goes on the Read Again Pile!

Both Malcolm and Janelle were running away from their overwhelming jobs and responsibilities. So a week end get away was the perfect remedy.

Skiing and the other resort activities kept the story interesting!!! I loved how they took their time to really get to know one another before the "sweet loving" commenced!

Malcolm and Janelle!!

Both Malcolm and Janelle were searching for something when they booked their trip to Aspen. They ended up finding that something with each other. Being snowed in together brought out the chemistry that they were feeling and it boiled over. I loved the simple touches that Malcolm did for Janelle to make the best of their situation especially for her birthday. The fireplace and hot tub scenes were both spicy and romantic. I also loved how the author made it more authentic when both showed their human side with the doubts that they were going through about forming a relationship after the weekend. This was a very enjoyable book to read. It had all of the things that a romance book should have. Great job as usual Aja!!

💜🌼Aja Doing Her Aja Thing💜🌼
The Weekend is one of those perfect little books like I love to read... characters, like Janelle and Malcolm , with off the rails chemistry, who I can care about and root for...being brought together under fun, but less than normal circumstances ...they are in Aspen, snowed in together sharing one suite due to a reservation error...and falling in love...The book has the perfect amount of sexy and very little angst with a hea...all ingredients I love in my books...💜🌼
The icing on this cake is the writing by Aja...as a general rule ...if a book has Aja's name on it... I'm reading it...Obviously, I recommend this book.....💜🌼

'The Weekend' by Aja

My Insight:

'The Weekend' is another great romance from this author. I found it interesting how Asha Sinclair and Ezra Bishop met, especially since Asha thought she would be spending her birthday alone. But will she be alone? What will happen when Asha and Ezra cross paths? Their encounter leads to one steamy adventure.

Please pick up this captivating series to see if these two can make it work. You'll be eagerly awaiting the next installment!

The Weekend

This was an enjoyable close proximity romance. I liked Janelle and Malcolm together and loved their chemistry. I also liked that they both felt something and questioned if they could make it work in the “real” world. This showed that they were both on the same page and wanting to pursue something more with the other and were wanting to make it work. I also liked that it seemed Malcolm was able to get Janelle to embrace her adventurous side by the adventures they went on together.

What a Weekend!! YES…Malcolm and Janelle!! 🔥🔥🔥

Look, I thought Asha and Ezra were “It” in “The Arrangement” (make sure you grab your copy of this one, as well)! However, Aja brought us another couple (which actually came first) by the names of Janelle and Malcolm!! B.A.B.Y…their chemistry was also way off the charts and they definitely deserved what they discovered together!!

I’m going to let you read the story yourself, but be sure you’re ready to receive what this awesome author is giving you!! It’s fire, decadent and beautiful!! Kudos, Aja…Kudos!! 💜

I love this short read ….Yes Malcolm and I got married on the ski slopes…lol
Malcolm need time away to refresh himself, and he went all the way to Aspen
But he found a little bit more, and that is what counts when you take a vacation to relax your mind and your peace and your soul . Janelle got snowed in with a complete stranger but it was a wonderful snow in.

Fling…Zapped…Zinged‼️

Just what Dr. Ruth would have ordered: a fling…zapped…zinged 🤭love bug‼️ My mind & soul needed the rejuvenation & reprieve of “The Weekend: The Lovers Series. Nevertheless, nothing solidifies an extended MLK holiday weekend like reading about new love, romance & plenty of adult entertainment during their long fictional weekend🤷🏾‍♀️🤭‼️Great job Ms. Aja🤩

When You Know, You Know

Malcolm and Janelle made a weekend fling become forever. These two had what each other needed, and once the snow melted, so did their reservations. Great job Aja!

What a wonderful novella. Despite being a novella, the story and both characters were developed. The intensity of their weekend together was great, and I could not put the book down. Once that flame was lit, there was no turning back. Great job Aja!

Tropes: Strangers to lovers, Instant Attraction, Forced Proximity

This is a cute story. Fast paced. Quick Read. Writing was good, but I ended up skimming through a lot of it.

So cute...

Janelle decides to take her birthday trip alone, even with a snowstorm coming. When she arrives at her resort for the weekend, there is a mix-up with her room, and she has to share a room with a handsome stranger, Malcolm. They are both attracted to each other, and after being in close proximity, their attraction becomes so much more. I enjoyed this story of Janelle and Malcolm getting to know each other and seeing that it was so much more between them.
