Great series
I started this series at book four, but when I read that and enjoyed it so much I went back and started from the beginning. Good story lines, great backstories to give depth to the characters. Really good reads - hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I absolutely love this series. I am so happy for Francesca to finally found a HEA. I knew there was something between her and Gio since the first book about Jacob and Becca. I enjoyed reading about how Gio knew about her past and how slow he allowed things to move in consideration of her feelings. He even let her take complete control of the relationship until she became comfortable with him. I can not believe the revelation in the book about him and Jacob. The story was a great story that kept me enthralled throughout the reading and was a wonderful slow burn read until the last 1/4 of the book. Then it became very steamy. I would definitely recommend this book and this whole series to anyone who loves mafia romances. I cannot wait until the next story about Becca's brother Jack and the beautiful woman he found. I received a review copy of this book from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

This is my favorite book in this series so far. I love a good "dark" romance, but these characters have been dancing around their feelings for a year now. Francesca has some major trauma to overcome and Gio doesn't feel as if he's good enough for her, but if they can overcome these obstacles they can be toegether. The thing I love most about this book is that throughout the entire thing they never wavered in their feelings for each other and they didn't allow these issues to draw them apart. I was totally emotional invested in these characters and cried at their HEA.

Francesca has suffered terribly at the hands of her family’s enemies and she still continues to live in her own world while she struggles from day to day. Gio has wanted nothing more than to be someone and he started by working his way up the family ladder, but at times he feels not good enough especially when it comes to his attraction to Francesca. Over the last year Gio has stood by as his attraction kept growing for her but he never felt like he deserved her, his home life was horrible and his mother was terrible so it was always in his head he was nothing. Both their mothers are horrible people out for themselves, cruel, and hurt their children in emotional ways. Gio’s mother brings about a secret during the worst possible time that changes so much. Can Gio balance a life in the family and being with a fragile Francesca and can Francesca find her inner strength to overcome her fears and pain? As she fights her demons that haunt her every single day Gio has to fight his own against those that seek to harm them and the family. I felt bad for Gio towards the end and the secrets that came to light. The guilty person leaking information definitely deserved a harsher sentence than what Gio asked for but that just shows how much he cares for Francesca and her feelings. These two were so perfect for each other and I am definitely curious to see what comes next from the Irish.

Giovanni has worked his way up in the Mafia he has feelings for Francesca his boss's cousin who's off limits.
Francesca has suffered some serious past trauma her family's enemies have taken everything from her she's determined to be whole again.
Giovanni & Francesca's journey to be with together wasn't an easy one but when the same enemies target him their relationship changes from friendship to so much more.
I definitely recommend to get this extremely well written book that grabs you from start to finish so well worth the read so much happens it won't disappoint L.K. Shaw did an amazing job writing this story I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Francesca and Giovanni have been secretly interested in each other for a year. When Giovanni suffered an accident protecting the syndicate leaders wife, Francesca spends a lot of time with him and their feelings grow deeper. The problem is Gio is just a chauffeur and Chess is the cousin of the syndicate leader.
We find out Gio’s secret lineage and it turns his world around. Will this secret affect his relationship with Chess? Will he be able to continue working for the syndicate?
This is a very slow burn romance. There is no spice until about 80% of the book. I would’ve liked the spice to happen a little earlier and maybe a little more of it 😉 But Gio is the sweetest and he is being cautious with intimacy considering Francesca’s past.
This was the conclusion of the Italian mafia and now I move on to the Irish mafia in Irish Devil!!

What can I say about an awesome book without spoiling it? Gio and Francesca have been dancing around each other for awhile while she works through issues from her past. But things have a way of coming to the surface that you never expected!!!! Will Gio and Francesca be able to be together after certain things are revealed? Ms. Shaw always keeps her readers hooked and on the edge of their seats while reading her stories. They draw you in and don't let go until the last page is finished. Out of the three books in this series, this one is my favorite so far. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series will bring us!

I was captured from the 1st chapter and could not put the book down until I turned the last page! There are some authors that I can’t wait to get their next story and LK Shaw is one of them as she pulls in plot twists with magnetic characters that will stay with you long after you turn the last page. Giovanni’s mother reveals a long hidden secret that has ramifications for Gio’s boss Jacob that you never see coming. What follows is a patient Giovanni working through Francesca’s past while establishing himself alongside Jacob. I can’t wait for the next for the next installment in the Brooklyn Kings series!

The Beast as we find out is more like a gentle giant when it comes to Francesca. The two of them have been tap dancing around each other for a year. Giovanni has been patient waiting in the wings for Francesca but he can't wait any longer. He loves her and is at his wit's end.
Francesca has been through a horrendous experience and it warmed my heart that Giovanni never pushed her and gave her all the time and space she needed after professing how he felt about her. She is such a strong gutsy woman and he knew she would make the first move for them to go forward in their feelings for each other.
Their story has heartache, passion, hope and a HEA that will kick you in the feels.

Super sweet love story
I've been waiting on the hea for this couple! The H in this story is just the sweetest of sweet and swoony. The h has had so much growth within the series and its great to see her hea. I guess I'm a twisted chick, because this book was missing conflict within the couple. They had no drama, no angst... I liked the book but I guess I need more drama in my relationships. Lol.

Oh my heart! The author has taken a dark world and given it light through love. Francesca is a survivor of a traumatic sexual assault seven years earlier. Giovanni has loved Francesca from afar for the past year. He has been patient but a man can take only so much and now he makes his intentions known. Watching this big gruff guy taking his time to woo this incredibly strong woman was so touching. I loved this story.

The Beast I Can't Tame is book three in the Brooklyn Kings series and is Francesca and Giovanni's book. Francesca and Giovanni are my new favorite couple from this series. The way this book started off told me it was going to be a wild unpredictable ride and it truly was. This series gets better and better with each book and I can't wait to see what's next.

What an amazing book. This is Giovanni and Francesca’s story. They have both dealt with difficult things in their past. Will they be able to overcome their past and other issues that come up and get their happily ever after. This is another amazing book in the Brooklyn Kings series if you haven’t started it you need to today. You will not be disappointed!

This is a great romance that is the third book in a series and can be read as a standlone. I can not get enough of these books. in this one our heroine had a horrible thing happen to her and even though its been years will she be able to get past in and be with our hero who feels he's just not good enough for her. i can not wait for what's next

Another fantastic read in the Brooklyn Kings series. Francesca and Giovanni have been dancing around each other for about a year; both having feelings for the other, but due to a horrible incident in Francesca’s past they have both kept their distance. A shocking secret is revealed at an inopportune time causing disbelief, anger, and a demand for answers that puts Gio front and center under the microscope. He’s been hoping to move up the ranks to a position of importance and he finally may have the chance. Along with more responsibility comes more danger and Francesca will once again be in the line of fire. I loved the strength of these two characters and that regardless of situations or circumstances they did not waver in their feelings for each other and they did not allow anyone to pull them apart. They stayed true to themselves and each other and built the relationship they wanted. Secrets, intrigue, betrayal, suspense, heartbreak, emotional turmoil, with twists and HEA. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down until it ended. It’s a wonderful story and I’m looking forward to the next.

A great read! I always love a story with a tough hero that is strong and can protect their love, and on the inside the fall like a tall oak. The Bratva men are always the perfect fantasy man. I always want more when I reach the end.

Have to say I have been waiting for these two and boy at last we finally see them in a way that is well beautiful. Giovanni is exactly what Francesca needs to make her feel alive and so much more. We see Giovanni growing into his new role as well something he never saw coming, then we have Francesca. L.K. Shaw shows us two different sides of Francesca, the quiet, meek little girl she used to be and now we see a woman fighting to be strong each day. Not only do we see these two growing more with each other but we see Brenna, Emilio, Pierce and Mia just coming back into full circle. Cannot wait to see more of these series and what L.K. Shaw will do next.

Ahh I am so happy Giovanni and Francesca got their happily ever after! I have loved Gio since the first book in this series. His tough past makes his loyalty and patience soo admirable. I love how he would truly do anything for Francesca.
Of course, I love Pierce and Francesca's sibling bond as well. I love how protective he is of her. This book truly has such a found family aspect in addition to biological family.
Mila, Pierce, Brenna, and Jacob of course all made appearances. I am definitely getting attached to these characters! I don't know how I am going to let them go...

Everyone was gathered for the funeral of Salvatore Ricco when a woman comes stumbling in drunk saying that Salvatore couldn't threaten her any longer and that her son needed to finally know who his father was.
Giovanni looked on in horror as his mother makes a scene in front of his boss and the rest of the attendants at the funeral of the previous leader of the Italian mob the Brooklyn Kings. A mother that he thought he had left behind years ago.
He joined the Brooklyn Kings to finally become part of a family as his mother had only been concerned about booze, drugs and whomever she could sleep with. He was still recovering from almost dying when the Russian's shot him while kidnapping Emilio's wife Brenna. He already feels negligent even though others tell him there was nothing he could have done and now he has to deal with his conniving mother.
I love this book! I love all the characters in this series, but Giovanni is special. Francesca had been kidnapped, tortured and raped for over a week by the Russian's and it takes a special man to overcome her fear of contact even after seven years.
As with each book in this series it is action-packed and smoking hot. I love how the further into the series we are still in full contact with the previous couples and get further entwined into this mafia family.
I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading more in this series!

The Beast I Can't Tame by LK Shaw is a forbidden lovers mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Eva Caine and Walker Williams. This is the third book in the Brooklyn Kings series.
This is the third book of LK's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Giovanni and Francesca. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Irish Devil to be released on audio so I can get Aurora and Jack's story.
Eva and Walker did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like forbidden romances, mafia romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

As the story of the Brooklyn Kings Italian mafia family continues, we find out Gio’s true identity and Francesca’s true feelings for him and his feelings for her. Both have such troubled paths. You’ll most certainly love Gio! This series may be violent at times (this book not so much) but these men love fiercely and their protective behavior over their women is actually heartwarming. Gio and Francesca’s story is toward the sweeter side than the romances in the previous books of this series. Gio is so patient and loving with Francesca. They support each other thru their dysfunctional mothers’ behavior and all that entails.
I’ve enjoyed each of these books. They are a pretty fast read and I now look forward to the next one where we finally learn more about the Irish family currently in contract with the Italian family. Bring on Jack’s story!

Having read both The Devil I Don't Know and The Enemy In My Bed i've been looking so forward to more of the Brooklyn Kings world! I had to dive into this third installment next and get back into this world. I enjoyed this third book!
I've been looking so forward to this couples story! Francesca and Giovanni's journey pulled me in from the get go! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen with these two which got me into their story even more. I so enjoyed getting into their minds and their chemistry!

There were times my heart broke for Francesca 💔 Giovanni and Francesca are in love, but they can’t be together, because of a horrible incident from her past. Giovanni also wants to rise within the ranks of the mafia. When an explosive secret is revealed at the wrong time, Giovanni may be moving up in ranks after all!! This story is about secrets, betrayal, suspense, revenge and total heartbreak!! Not to mention so many twists…..

The beast i can't tame (Brooklyn kings 3)
This is the third book in this series by this author and these books just keep getting better and better. This is the story of Giovanni and Francesca, wow these two characters just grab a hold of you from the start. This story is so gripping, you will be reading long into the night. This story has plot twists and characters you just can’t help falling in love with. This is another amazing addition to this incredible series. I can’t wait to read the next instalment of the Brooklyn kings.
