ok so…

This felt like the shortest book I ever read. Honestly, I just read two chapters last night and I got to say I finish this when I woke up and I had a whole lot of breaks like hours in between the hours, so it didn’t take me that long to read this I will say maybe 2 1/2 hours if that but however, this book so far was good and I was really confused since it did say San Francisco billionaires book in the title when technically this what is mostly place in New York City, so honestly that’s where my confusion lies, and that one of the main reasons why I gave it four stars but other than that it was really good and I definitely do recommend it

I really enjoyed this read.

Penny and Parker had history, as he was her brother's best friend and her constant tormentor. Meeting again as adults, Parker realizes that he wants to show Penny he has changed and can be the man she needs.

Will history repeat itself, or will these two get a second chance at a HEA?

Great characters, lots of tension, good storyline. Really enjoyed reading this book!.

When Penny was young she had a crush on Parker. But with Parkers behaviour towards her it was more her enemy. After years without seeing each other they meet again at a fashion show where he is the boss. Old feelings and a fake pregnancy and fake engagement makes it a spicy, lovely and sometimes infuriating (mostly by his ex) story. It is a quick read, at least for me. Because when I started reading, I needed to finish it! I loved it.
I can't wait for the others in this lovely serie. It is a standalone, but the characters will come back in the following stories.

This book was super fantastic. The suspense that carried throughout the entire story was incredible. I loved how the character of Parker became so protective of Penny and how he was so slow to finally realize that he had actually fell in love. Then there was the character of Penny who was so insecure and was constantly jealous of Brittany and was so afraid for her fashions to be seen. Penny was also a little slow to realize her true love for Parker. I would love to recommend this novel to everyone as it has suspense, trials, steamy love, and a general feel good to the entire novel.

This is a well written book with a cast of strong characters centering on Penny and Parker. The author brings an enemies to lovers fake romance that had me hooked from start to finish. She brings drama, anxiety, a few twists and a ton of emotions. She moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers a terrific read.

I was just reading the sample on Kindle in a long line of samples, and ngl the opening chapter was very confusing and had me thinking this was a sapphic romance or at least with a bi FMC. Parker is such an androgynous name I thought that was the FMC, but no, that’s the MM. The POV voice is confusing. I’m just going to put this down.

Reason's I decided to DNF:
-It's not enemies to lovers [it's she's been in love with him since childhood even though he bullied her and now that they're adults there's an instant attraction]
-He's not her boss [just the event coordinator for a fashion show she happens to be showing her designs in]
-When they first reconnect he's dating another one of her high school bullies...
-When their spotted, by paparazzi, kissing at a restaurant and she's wearing a coat that makes her appear to have a small belly bump...and there's headlines that they're secretly dating and pregnant...instead of saying she's not pregnant but still using the PR to have a face relationship...they say she is pregnant and they've been secretly dating for a few months...
-the summary says she's left with an unexpected pregnancy...umm they never once discussed contraception before they had sex...and after they first had sex and he realized she'd never had sex before...again they NEVER discuss contraception...so I don't see how if/when she gets pregnant it's unexpected when both times I made it through there's was no discussion of contraception and he definitely finished inside her both times...

Anwho...just wasn't the book I thought it was going to be...honestly I was pissed when they were going with a fake pregnancy but I thought I'd give it a little more time...but I just can't.

This is the first book in the new San Francisco Billionaires Series and starts the series off on a high note. This book can be read as a standalone, but there will be interconnecting characters in the future books. The book has a variety of troupes that include brothers best friend, enemy to lovers, boss romance, unplanned pregnancy, losing her V card, fake fiancé and more. Penny and Parker will take you on one wild ride full of angst, drama and emotions. Once you start reading, you won't be able to put the book down. Well written with an engaging story line and interesting, well-developed characters. Some twists, a surprise or two and and a great read. Bullied to phoenix
This book is full of resilience and perseverance in both self & achieving dreams of FMC. I really liked this character, though she’s braver than I ever could be holding onto her teenage crush who also happens to be the main instigator of her bullied school torment. I appreciated the MMC’s character development and the self-awareness awakening. I expected some “usual drama” that I was dreading … it never happened, nicely refreshing plot line. Thank you for another good read 😊

This was a pretty quick read. I didn't feel like Parker and Penelope had a real love connection. I feel like there was a lot of lust, old dusty feelings, and just some negativity. Also, Parker let his ex-fling cause too many problems and linger for too long. If I were her, I wouldn't have tolerated that and would expect more from any man that really truly cared about me. But, that's just me. It was an alright book. I just feel like some things just didn't mesh with their growing relationship.

good but not to keep me page turning

This book is good but not enough for me to want to finish it in one day. It didnt kept my attention. I had to keep rereading. I just didnt like how she was obsessed with him basically and many yrs later still was. I didnt feel the passion between them i just felt like they were there because they had to be. Im pretty sure its a great book for someone else but not for me. Def not reading it again.

His plan is so stupid "Oh um, we've been dating a while and she's pregnant, don't worry about it." And then they have to fake a romanc for a little while and just deal with the fake pregnancy later meanwhile lets fuck without ever discussing contraception.

But hey, it's a fast read and cute.

Up and coming fashion designer, Penelope Gould, is making her debut at New York Fashion Week. This brings her face to face with her childhood nemesis, Parker Hamilton, the primary event organizer, for the weeks of prep before the event itself. Each went through their own pain and loss in their youth but Penny bore the brunt of Parker's venom back then. Only it turns out that both always had strong emotions toward the other, and that hasn't changed. Maturity has brought greater appreciation and perspective to each and this event will prove powerful in both their lives.

I did not expect to enjoy this book so very thoroughly. Great writing that sucks you in and pulls you through. Very easy to read in one or two sittings. Loved the story. Kudos to Emery Rowan!

I was expecting alot more drama from the title. It was more happy cute; her old bully falls in love and she falls right back. The exgirlfriend didn’t cause as much drama. You barely hear from her at all.

About what you would expect from a 30-chapter, 240-page book. Sometimes I think I hate myself because I knew I wouldn't really love this. There wasn't enough for me to connect with or care about the characters, and the writing and pacing were both lacking; let's leave it at that.
