This is the first book I have read by this author and what a little gem I stumbled across. Pursed by my Grumpy Fiance will not be the last book that I read by Emery Rowan. She has written a very engaging story that brought me plenty of entertainment. I couldn't set the book down and read it one day. Emery put together a couple that was perfect for one another - her sweetness counters his grumpiness...they balance each other out like yin and yang. There were plenty of supporting characters that were a wonderful addition to the book helping to bring it all together.

Landon is a playboy billionaire who has no intention of giving up his bachelor life. While sitting in his limo waiting to escort his mother to a charity fundraiser they host a beautiful woman he has never met opens the door and sits next to him. What Hailey doesn't realize is that Landon is not the man who hired her for a date. Now he introduce Hailey as his girlfriend to his mother Elanor. The evening gets out of hand when Landon publicly announces Hailey as his fiance on stage in front of the entire crowd. Everything went down hill from there and Hailey wants absolutely nothing to do with Landon. But, he isn't done with Hailey yet and pursues her until she relents and becomes his fiance for hire. There is chemistry brewing between Landon and Hailey which eventually leads to them breaking the no sexual relations clause. Their fake relationship is one of adventure with plenty of missteps along the way. If Landon and Hailey want to make a go at forever then they better buckle up for the obstacles that try to put an to end to their happily ever after.

Date-for-hire Turns Fiancée
Hailey needs extra money for rent, tuition and paying her mothers medical bills. Therefore she becomes a date-for-hire with No Sex Allowed. One evening she finds herself in the wrong limo and meets Landon. Who is immediately attracted to her and will not let her go.
The story goes from there, attraction flairs from both sides and the No sex rule is abandoned. Before they can celebrate their HEA there are some nasty people who are trying to manipulate Landon, but their threats can be eliminated. Landon switches between a nice and not so nice person without a clear reason and Hailey’s POV concerning her No sex rule is easily thrown overboard. Money makes everything easier. Still an enjoyable read.

One wrong limo and in a few seconds you're engaged to a what? Billionaire? No I'm not a escort, but a date-for-hire! That's how the story begins of Hailey and Landon.
The first sight of Hailey stumbeling in his limo, Landon is immidiately mesmerized! He wants her and only her. So to get his mother of his back, he tells her that Hailey is his fiancé. Haily plays along, thinks it's only for one night. But no that was not his plan!
Ofcourse this whole faking thing and not get physical with her clients will become more and more difficult for Hailey.
Throw some drama in it and the story becomes even more excited and even dangerous. With this danger, their faith in each other, they become one front to conquer these enemies!

Yet again a lovely story from Emery! Loved it!.

A really neat story line. Hailey isn't the first college cord to work her way through college as an escort. Of course, her career takes a detour when she gets in the wrong limo one night and meets billionaire Landon Gould. From that point forward, the two bump heads, and eventually other body parts, until they discover their hearts have stop bumping and start beating for each other. Even when a pair of scoundrels try to derail their relationship, Hailey and Landon persevere and, in the end, their happily every after is assured. Does drag with a little too much detail in a few spots, but keep reading, because it is worth it to get to the end.

This was Landon and Hailey's book. She’s a “date-for-hire,” not an escort. Huge difference. Definitely so intriguing I just couldn’t put it down but I had to but I knew when I picked it up again I be finishing this tonight and I did it was definitely a recommendation on my end and why you say that is because this book literally captivated me throughout the whole book It gave you such a good amount of drama and a good amount of spiciness, so I definitely would recommend this due to that and due to the fact that it was just super cute especially the ending with the kids. Oh my God I just can’t.

Wow! What a great read; funny, sweet, hot, delightful, twists, and not too much heavy drama. Refreshing. MCs are likable and I enjoyed the references to past characters, though you certainly don’t need to have read their stories – it just invites you to explore them later. Nicely flowing writing with attention to detail in the settings, especially those ‘please forgive’ flowers (wink). An all-round solid and pleasant read. Thank you 😊

This is a re-release and is just as good as the first time I read it. Hailey is a law student with a mother in hospital fighting cancer, she works as a date-for-hire to pay the bills. One night she gets into a limo thinking it was her date for the night only to find Landon who introduces her to his mother as his girlfriend. Their HEA has blackmail, misunderstandings and a lot of witty banter in this must-read.

I loved the banter and sweet moments in the book. Hailey is a date-for-hire who gets in the wrong car and ends up fake engaged to Landon, the grumpy billionaire she meets. Their hijinks and the way they fall in love are interesting. I'm glad that no one found out about their fake engagement contract, and at one point, I thought that Ivan had figured it out. They had some obstacles to overcome, and I'm glad the miscommunication trope wasn't heavily used in the book.

A wonderful romantic read

Hailey is working as a "date for hire" when she gets in the wrong limo and finds herself being introduced by Landon as his girlfriend, to his mum. A great misunderstanding leading to plenty of fun, action, humor and steamy romance with a great twist and HEA.

Well, the bones are good. The plot line (overall) especially the intro is good. The execution falls short. Timing was off and the description was often ineffectual. Hailey and Landon. are decent characters, I just wish I had gotten more into their story than I did.

I absolutely loved this book. Great read and the banter between Landon and Hailey is fabulous. I couldn't put the book down as I wanted to get to the end and see their happily ever after. I highly recommend this book and all of Emery Rowan's books. They are fantastic reads and I cannot wait til her next one comes out.

Are you my date?

Getting into the wrong car for a date can be life changing. Hailey and Landon make a great couple once the mix-up leads to fake engagement, and the past comes back to haunt them. The story was full of excitement and very engaging. I loved the dynamic between characters and how they eventually overcome the obstacles set upon them.
