Bargain with the Witch Prince is a steamy forbidden love fantasy romance novella, recommended for ages 18+ due to language and sexual content. It's a full-length standalone book with a happily ever after and a lead-in to the next couple's book.
This was a steamy friends to lovers fantasy romance, including magic, witches, demons, and lots of drama and sarcasm. The banter is top tier, I really loved Kell and Joula as characters, and their relationship was sweet and engaging. Great novella which kept me entertained from start to finish.

There are so many things about the previous books that I just can thought about it, so I recommend you to read the previous serie before this. In that way you could understand this or not, it's up to you 😚 but frankly, It was page-turning with a strong FMC and a hilarious MMC.
DNF at 50%. My exact quote to my friend about this book:
There is absolutely no world building so I can't tell if this is a fantasy castle or I'm in modern america and the characters sound like teenagers when they talk. They have absolutely no chemistry and I would just be hate reading it at this point.
This was a fun, quick read that I enjoyed. I liked how Kell and Joula met by chance late at night, yet still had instant chemistry. It started off as a wholesome connection that made me swoon and quickly turned steamy. This book felt a little rushed to me and maybe would have fared better if it were a full-length novel to flesh out the characters and the relationships between them more. I would have loved to read about the coronation and Kell losing his parents, and having those events strengthen his relationship with Joula. There were also quite a few spelling/grammar issues throughout this book that took away from some of my enjoyment. But overall if you’re looking for a fun, quick paranormal romance read, then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this novella it was full of humour and so much charm, I loved the characters, youve gor your strong and feisty leading female , a swoon worthy and charming prince, I adored the banter , the wit and chemistry between the both of them. It’s well written and definitely addictive, makes you want to jump into the main series so much, fab.

This novella is a beautiful preview to the world created by Alexa Ashe. Joula is a string willed woman (but not stubborn) who doesn't let rank or class affect the way she interacts with people. Kell is looking for escape and true friendship. Their relationship develops over the story. Such cute flirtation with spice. Great set for the next book.

This book was funny, charming, interesting and with a feisty heroin and a sexy prince to keep you entertained. The book was well written and I loved the banter and developing love between the characters.

3.5🌟 Ok it was cute. I’m starting to learn that books that are less than 200 pages are mostly sex, and I’m a little disappointed. There was nothing bad about this book except for the length. I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if we got more context on the world building, who Joula’s father is, more time growing Joula and Kell’s relationship, etc. I would’ve also liked more about the bargain that they made with her uncle. I’m hoping that the next one is about Poe and will give us more insight. I feel like this book could/should be considered a prequel to the next one. There’s not really a lot that goes on other than setting up for the series.

A prince with an overpowering weight on his shoulders of ruling a kingdom on the brink of losing its king. His father, on his deathbed, has just one wish: to see his son crowned before he dies. But in order for that to happen, Kell must marry, and therefore the charade begins. For charade, it is, where numerous princesses are paraded before him, all perfect in their own way but yet so far from being what Kell seeks. Until he meets Joula. Joula is anything but a princess, just not of his world anyway. Does he have the strength to marry Joula, and to deny his father his dying wish? What will happen when Joula's father, Elix the demon lord, discovers what they have planned?
Bargain with the Witch Prince by Alexa Ashe is a very striking fantasy story with well-developed characters. Despite the book not being very long, a standalone novella, I did not feel like anything was missing. The characters are expressive and have real feelings. They exhibit a wonderful relationship, filled with love, passion and humour, which is evident in their interactions with one another. I think the characterization of Kell and Joula is the most satisfying thing about this book. The storyline is intriguing and gripped me from the start. I tried to see if there was any downside to this book however I liked everything. The only thing I will say is that I would have liked to see more of what Joula is capable of but as this is a novella, an introduction, I am hoping that will follow.
The story ends with a happy ever after, dangling suspense for what is to follow and I cannot wait to delve into the next book. I am giving Bargain with the Witch Prince 5 out of 5 stars. It was worth every minute I spent reading it. I recommend this book to mature readers due to the language and adult content, who love fantasy stories.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Prince Kell has a dying wish he needs to fulfill. Kell's dying father, the King, wants to see him become King. One problem with that, Kell has to be married. The princesses that are brought in aren't really Kell's cup of tea. He goes out to drown his sorrows and runs into Joula. Joula is a witch with many abilities including the ability to heal. The two decided to become friends. One things leads to another and their attraction for each other finally comes to a head.
Kell realizes he would rather marry his friend than some princess that only cares about being a queen. Everything is going good until Joula has to tell Kell about her other side. They came up with a story to tell Kell's parents. Though believable, his father looked into Joula's background a little more and found out where she was from. Things get even worse when Joula's father finds out what is going on.
This is a fast moving book that will keep reader's attention. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. To see how these friends stood by one another is endearing. You will love some characters and hate some characters but it all comes together to create a beautiful love story. The epilogue even shows readers exactly what this happy couple is dealing with in the future. They still have a bargain that they have to complete. I hope we hear more about them as the series progresses.
Bargain With the Witch Prince, a novella by Alexa Ashe, is a fantasy romance. At the heart is the forbidden love between Prince Kell and Joula. Kell is encouraged by his dying father to marry and accept his coronation as king so that he may witness both before his death. Against his will, Kell agrees. He spends time with the chosen princesses from which he will choose. He is miserable and sneaks out of the castle to drink himself stupid and forget about his obligations for time. He succeeds in the former, resulting in an accident. Joula is half witch, half demon, the daughter of a demon prince with whom her mother made a bargain. No one knows of her demon blood other than her mother. When she finds Kell seriously injured as a result of his drunken escapades, she takes him to her private hideaway and heals him. It does not take him long to realize that the powers she possesses are not simply the powers of a witch. She is afraid that once he realizes she is half demon, he will want nothing to do with her. To her surprise, Kell doesn't seem to care. He is more interested in the fact that she can give him something he's never had, a friend. Joula has never known friendship either, so she agrees to be his. They begin to meet regularly and soon enough develop deeper feelings for each other. They must navigate Kell's promise to his father to marry soon and Joula's demon father, who seems determined to take her with him back to his home when the time is right. Will their love for each other be enough to overcome these obstacles, not to mention the fear of how Kell's father will react when he finds out the future queen is half demon? Kell and Joula are a forbidden couple, but fit together who prove love and ingenuity are enough.
This is the prequel to Rescued by the Fae Prince, and takes place around 20 years earlier, telling the story of how Ender's parents met. Like Rescued, it is a novella, so it doesn't have time to be slow burn, but it is at least not insta-love. At the beginning, the prince is just looking for a friend, and the FMC, who comes from a poor background, looks down on him because of the coddled life he has led, and it takes at least a few weeks before they get to the stage of kissing (and of course then they go beyond kissing, because this is, after all, erotica). Also like Rescued, it has a lot of humor, much of it provided by the lighthearted prince. It provides useful background to Rescued; after reading it I understood how Ender has the powers she does, and a little bit more about why the Fae conquered the kingdom. I strongly recommend that you read this one first, and then go on to Rescued. Had I realized they were ordered, I would have started with this one. This was a fun, quick read, and I'm still hoping that the author will move up to a full length book in her next installment, which will allow space to give me the slow burn I prefer.

This royal, fantasy romance was pretty good!! I truly enjoyed the playful banter between the two main characters, Kell and Joula! I especially love how the first few chapters were written. They really drew me into the story.
However, I did find it hard to make out how old the main characters were, since their ages were never said. As well, the last few chapters before the epilogue seemed a bit rushed, especially the bargain part. That scene left me really confused with how fast it came and went. I feel as though there should be a bit more explanation as to why Joula felt that was the only way to go about the situation. I understand why a little, but there is still part of me that's confused. I'll have to re-read this again to see if i can make more sense of it!!
Despite how I feel though, I do 100% recommend this story to any reader interested in royal fantasy romances, with spice!! <3.

It was a decent beginning. I liked the premise, but this was an eye rollingly bad middle jump into bed, sort of Industrial Revolution mixed with a magic system that is neither explained or truly explored. I honestly skipped when I reached 60% to the end just to see what happened because if I want a weird sort of insta everything with the half daughter of a demon prince then it’s fine. Characters could be interesting if allowed to be more developed, and if the story had more time to breathe I would rate it higher. As it stands it’s not smexy enough to not need a story (ie erotica) and there’s not enough story for me to enjoy it as a romance. It also would help of the setting was explained a smidge more. I thought it was sort of fantasy regency, but then there’s coal plants billowing smoke, and a demon realm but not enough tech to be steam punk.
OMG!!! Fantastic this book was a page turner and the suspense was like WHAT!!! I was at the end of my seat and I could not stop reading it. I was suck right in this story it was amazing with action packed fighting . Kell need to take the crown but he need to be married Joula. Joula and Kell chemistry was like fireworks. And their attraction was smoking hot. Joula and Kell they were fighting demons .This was a war and they had to win. They were dealing with family drama and it was getting crazy for them.Their love was forbidden and they were trying to kingdom for be taking over from the enemies. This were a magical realm that they went into to fight the enemies . If you love forbidden fantasy romance this book is for you and you will not be disappoint at all. I know that I was not at all. I am voluntarily leaving a honest review. Trina Jones
If you read Rescued by the Fae Prince … this is the story of Ender/Poes parents meeting and how she came to be. You do NOT have to read that one first but you WILL want to read it next.
This is the love story of Joula and Kell. One is the Prince needing to marry for the crown and the other is a princess of another realm.
I say love story as even though they don’t realize it they fall in love in the beginning. Joula is someone who speaks her mind .. a refreshing and often irritating quality for Kell to deal with.
Once they cross from friends to lovers the pages are on fire. Kell knows how to use his sword and Joula learns to take what she wants.
There is family drama… deals with demons.. for shadowing….
Bargain with the Witch Prince takes you back in time to where the series began - with Kell and Joula. I loved reading how they met, and it definitely fills in some blanks regarding Ender’s family origins. The leads are enchanting and have great chemistry, and the supporting characters truly bring the story to life. I especially enjoyed Armin’s appearances!
Told from a dual perspective first person present tense, this book draws you in from the first paragraph to the last word, and it leaves you wanting to experience more.
This is a fantastic fantasy series, and I look forward to reading more. A must for those who enjoy witches, fae, demons, and romance!!!.

Honestly my only complaint about this book is it ended. I would love to read more about thier story and would have loved to have read so much more about them and how them becoming king and queen went. However, it was a wonderful book to read. I did not want to put it down and did not get bored at any point in the story. I shipped this couple from the start and loved how they were friends first. I also definitely loved the fmc's sassiness. There was not an excessive amount of spice and I think they were placed well and written well. Overall, I definitely recommend this book and cannot wait to read more in the series and by the author.

This is Joula and Kell's story and is a friends to lovers tale. Joula is half witch and half demon because of a bargain her mother made with a demon prince Elix years ago. Joula has extra powers because of this. Kell is a witch prince and very unhappy as his father is dying and wishes for him to take his place as king but in order for that to happen he must be married or at least engaged. Kell is bored with the princesses he meets and leaves the castle to drown his sorrows. He manages to injure himself badly and this is when Joula stumbles upon him. She heals him and from there a friendship develops. Can Joula and Kell get their HEA or will her heritage make that impossible? Only time will tell.

This is a great short story, if you are looking for something that you can read within a day or two that isn't overwhelming this is a great book to pick up. It's a romance story that follows a demon princess who grew up poor in the human world with her mother and a human Prince. The world is filled with magic, and they do not fall in love at first sight. The main characters Joula and Kell have great chemistry and growth in their relationship.
This story focuses mainly on their relationship and not the world around them. If you are looking for a high fantasy world this is not the book for you. If you just want a fun romance story with great characters and smut this is a great book to pick up.

I really liked this authors writing style. At first the language felt far too formal and a bit stiff but it soon made sense and felt natural after the world building was developed.
The pacing was good, although I wasn't keen on how quickly Joula and Kell fell in love but that's just my preference.
The chemistry between Joula and Kell was very well done and I liked their banter. They seemed to bounce off of one another in an easy way.
I wanted to see more of Joula's magical powers and maybe some POVs from her father and uncle as they're demons.
I liked the ending, it was sweet but I'm curious about the warning Armin gave Joula and Kell about the price they would pay.
The story began at a deliberate pace, which at first left me yearning for a quicker connection to the characters and their desires. However, as the world formed before my eyes, I realized that deliberate pacing was crucial for the foundation of this magical world. The author's attention to detail allowed me to grasp the unique dynamics of the realm, the diverse cultures that inhabited it, and the intricate systems of magic that wove everything together. Looking back, I can now appreciate how this initial investment in world-building set the stage for the ending. And by the end, I could not put this book down.
What can I say, such an emotional read. The way they both met and how it turned into love. How they both accepted who they were when the truth was known!
The steamy moments set the pages on fire, very erotic and explicit but all in context with the storyline.
Joula’s story of her life and who she is is wonderfully portrayed within the story and I can understand how Kell fell in love with her. Such a caring person with a beautiful soul!
Well worth a read with a HEA to complement the story.

Kell needs a wife to inherit the throne. He wants to do the right thing by his Dad and make him proud. Joula has always hid part of who she is to keep people happy. They accidentally meet but quickly find that they can truly be who they really are with each other. This is a great start to the series. Both characters bounce off each other with their dry wit and dark humour and make the book fun. I was sad to get to the end of the book as I wanted to read more. I can’t wait to read more in this series.
I loved how Kell and Joula met by chance and had instant chemistry. The connection was initially wholesome and quickly turned steamy. I wish this were a full-length novel to flesh out some of the storylines and give more background to the character's relationships. I also wish the magic system in this world was explained a bit more. This book has perfectly set up for the next book in the series. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

This was a relatively short story but was a fun read. Prince Kell's Father is dying and he will soon become King however before that happens he needs to marry. Enter a stream of eligible but boring princesses. Then Kell meets Joula by chance certainly not an ideal candidate but sparks fly between them. The book gets quite racy but not gratuitously so and ends with a HEA. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to seeing what comes next.

When paths cross there is are unimaginable events that go into play. Some events can be wonderful while others are damaging. Bargain with the Witch Prince is an amazing read where crossing paths with someone can change your entire world. Alexa Ashe did a great job writing the characters, their strengths and growth throughout the story are done in a great way, the world building and plot keep you connected and entertained.

This could have been something. I think it still could be it just needs more. More development. It was lacking. But the premise is fun. Also the MMC has something a reader would like. But it wasn’t enough. I think of this like when you write your first essay. You made sure you had your thesis, and your conventions to support but it lacked everything else to compel the reader to side with you. This is how the book read. My teacher would have been like “I like where your head is at but you’re missing depth”
