Raised to be Queen, now I need to be engaged to get my crown. No one said I have to marry him, though.
I’ve always been able to take care of myself and my people, so I can’t believe I need to rely on a man because of some stupid law.
But I have a plan that should make this easy.
I sent a proposal to a prince I only vaguely remember. When I get my crown, I can just send him back home. He’s infuriating and able to get under my skin with just a word or a look.
And I didn’t expect his captivating copper eyes or the sculpted body I just want to run my hands over. A single touch threatens to overtake me with desire.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to have him in my life… and my bed…
But the secret that he’s hiding from me could leave us both dead and tear my kingdom apart.
Bound to the Rogue Prince is a steamy forbidden love fantasy romance novel, recommended for ages 18+ due to language and content. It's a full-length standalone book with a happily ever after and a lead-in to the next couple's book.
*Each book in the Forbidden Royal Mates series can be read as a standalone romance, but it is recommended to read them in order to enhance the reading experience.*
Delightful! A great continuation of the series that was fun to read! I enjoyed the back and forth between the main characters. Their relationship was full of secrets, power plays, entertaining banter, and so much tension! As their relationship grew and evolved the steam level went up! This story is best enjoyed read in order and does leave off in a bit of a cliff hanger.
Tropes:
- forbiddenish love - royalty - secrets - magic - enemies to lovers vibes - marriage of connivence vibes - spicy scenes
This was an excellent addition to a series that I never would have k own about without stumbling across the opportunity to have a review copy of this book. Alexa Ashe has created a world that I'd love to spend a little more time in.
It's hard to call this an Enemies to Lovers even though it seems that way a bit on the surface. The fact is. The heroine has spent the majority of the last decade needing to be in control because more than just her life depends on it, and the hero threatens that.

Part of this book was a 3 for me, part was an 4, and part was a 5. My problem with it is that Mair, the FMC, didn’t do anything for me. I didn’t dislike her, but I didn’t find her interesting or engaging. Partly I suppose that was because she was so capable, and didn’t have any real problems, either internal or external. She wanted to undo the harm her parents had caused, which is noble and worthy, but it really seemed like she would be able to do everything she needed to with little difficulty. So the first 12 chapters of the book were a bit boring, unlike the other two books I’ve read by this author, where the main characters immediately engaged. I also had a little trouble with her motivation. Her desire to right her parents’ wrongs had its basis in her parents’ neglect, but it seemed to me there should have been something more in her background to explain how she turned out so good with such rotten parents. I wanted more of a back story. That bothered me a little bit in the previous book, but much more in this one.
Thinks picked up when Leven entered the picture. He was interesting and engaging, and I loved the middle section of the book, where he and Mair were sparring, even though most of it was written from Mair’s perspective, with only an occasional chapter from Leven’s. His chapters sparkled, and hers were almost as good. That section was very Kathrine Hepburn/Spencer Tracy, with lively wit and vibrant humor. That section of the book was a 5.
The final section was a solid 4, as we get into the spicy parts, which are always fun, but the conflict between Mair and Leven gradually winds down, so there is less of the Hepburn/Tracy vibe.

Ok it wasn’t bad. I don’t feel like as much happened in this book. There was a lot of important info, but the way the story was written wasn’t as good as the other books. It wasn’t as exciting. I feel like this book could’ve been 4 pov’s, a hundred pages longer, and that would make it better. I would’ve liked to get more of Ender and Saile, and then have the important info come from Mair and Leven’s pov. I’m happy that Tari is alive, I knew she had to have gone somewhere. I liked Leven, but I don’t feel like his character was flushed out well. The two of them never really did anything together for me to feel like they were in love. They basically “hated” each other, and had sex and then called it love. I’m disappointed in this series, especially since each book is about a different person. It would be fine if the books were longer and we got more of each couple, but we don’t. And why is the fourth book set to not even be with the other characters? It’s set up for the fourth book to be about finding the witches, but I see no reason as to why the author chose to have the characters that she chose to be the main ones for the fourth book
OMG!!! This was another great book from Alexa it was a page turner and the suspense was like really!!! I was suck right in once again and I could not put it down or even stop reading it not even for a minute.I was glue to my seat. These characters were dynamies amazing it had so many twisted in this story like there were secrets, being to have hope, loss, love romance and even friendship and about find out about found new families member. It was like a battle field of war between both kingdoms again. These two main characters chemistry was so steamy hot like firework. I highly recommend that you love fantasy drama and action packed this book is for you. You will not be disappoint at all with this book. I know that I was not at all. I really enjoyed the politics of this story. The world building was much more detailed than in previous foundational books in this series. The characters were also deeper and more complex. I found the struggle to turn their country/culture around- to change the direction - so that they no longer allow a distinct portion of the population to be oppressed and/or killed on sight - a worthwhile crusade. The story centers around the characters staging a coupe, preparing for civil war, altering the country dynamics and developing steamy marital relationships which I found redundant after awhile…I did not like the ending at all!! Suddenly, the story just stopped….

Mair is a strong, likable character who wants to do what is right for her people but feels she is being held back by archaic laws and rules. She is ready to step into her official role as Queen. Her chosen Prince Leven, whom she vaguely remembers, is strong and confident. Her plan to become Queen, which demands she must be betrothed or married before she can rule (which she has already been doing effectively for the past decade), is to become betrothed to Leven, take the throne as Queen, and then send him back home so she can make pertinent changes she can see she needs in place. But Leven is not docile and obedient. She is attracted to him, and he may have other plans for their future. She had never seen love in his eyes before. Will she now?
Mairs is determined to set right what her parents tried to destroy. All she needs to do is marry, change some laws, get coronated and not die in the process. Enter Levin, an unknown prince from another land that has been cut off for over a decade along with others after a change in power went to Mair's parents. I enjoyed the uphill battle she went through to bring her people and country to a place accepting change. Although, the epilogue seems abrupt due to the existing turmoil set forth with all the changes that are life changing it sets up the next book. This world building is most interesting, and I enjoyed the banter between all the characters.

Bound to the Rogue Prince is the third installment of this series, and it is awesome! Mair and Leven have a definite love-hate chemistry going on, and the author writes it beautifully! The supporting characters are fabulous, and I love how Alexa Ashe continues to grow the world as the love story unfolds and other supporting characters come to the fore.
With witches and fae and demons all mixing it up, there are some real “oh my!” moments. A great combo of action, adventure, drama, and fantasy; I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series!.

Mair is doing everything she can to make up for the bad things her parents did when they stole the throne. She has dedicated her life to this. If she is going to be Queen the she will have to marry. After trawling through her prospects she decides on Leven. Leven is not whom she things he is and makes himself a challenging and stimulating adversary. The chemistry been the leads sparkles on the page. This makes the book fly by as they keep you well entertained. I really enjoyed this book and wonder what direction Alexa will take the series next.
This one was probably the funniest and best in this series so far. Mair is great, sassy, and strong. Leven is confident and cunning. Their dynamic is witty and fueled with an anger that slowly turns into something much more.
I absolutely loved that the bigger picture was the focus here though, and that the reversal of damaging laws and viewpoints is the priority. Saving an entire people is a big job, but Mair has been doing it for a decade already. I can't wait to see what they can do together in the next one.
This third book in the series could stand alone but it is much better with the others. It was my least favorite but still so good. It has a more political feel than the others which has pros and cons. I also think it could be a parable of what is happening today in the American climate or even world at large. Well done!!!.

This is the third book in the Forbidden Royal mates series , it can be read as a stand alone but I’d recommend reading the previous two, just because I think you get a more enjoyable experience if you do, but again you won’t be lost if you only read this. It’s full of action, great characters, perfect chemistry and romance, if you love romantasy then you’ll love these books.

Book three of the Forbidden Royal Mates is finished and it was oh, so good. This one focuses on Mair and Leven. Mair is set to take the throne but she needs to be married either before or within a short time afterwards. She has her advisor to help her pick a suitable mate in name only. They meet and they don't exactly hit it off... of course, time can change things. I am excited to read the final book in this series and see how it all turns out!
This was another dynamic page turner. Character development was greatwas funny. It had lol moments, crying moments, happy moments, and maddening moments. It also had some really sweet moments. I have loved every single book in the series hope there are more. I would recommend the series to anyone and everyone.

Book 3 in the series picks up right where the last one ended. Saile's sister Mair is to become queen. But to do that she needs a King or at least a fiancé. Plenty of spice. Mair seemed a little childish in the book even though she is the older sister.

Bound to the Rogue Prince is another solid chapter in the Forbidden Royal Mates series (Book 3). Alexa Ashe once again presents well-crafted characters and expands the plot to include even more adventures. Wonderful world building. Steamy, romantic, magical, and engrossing. An amazing world to escape in.
I love this series and the characters. This book picks up wonderfully from book 2 and I Loved every thing about it. I recommend this a a good read and I truly hope there are more coming! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers!

This is an entertaining and engaging PNR storyline with strong, independent, and determined MCs. The writing gives good world-building and a decent pace. I enjoyed this book.

This was a great story. I really enjoyed the world building. The ‘love/hate’ relationship between the two main characters is both hilarious and wonderful to behold. The dynamics among all the character ms is very interesting. Some of the scenes are very intense. Great story.
This was the 3rd book of this group, and I thought it was done, but it left off in the middle of the story. It has a small amount of spice, but was plenty for me. It has witches, and fae. But it was a pretty good series so far.
A tale of a prince, princess and a found former princess. Lots of adventure, love, sex. The princess (who will be queen) looks for a consort she can control. It’s a fun book to read .
This was such a good book! I’ve read the other two in the series and so I was eagerly anticipating Mair’s story and what a story it is! This story can definitely be read as a standalone but I am glad I read the other two first. It is a bit forbidden love and a bit frenemies to lovers (they aren’t enemies really). Ashe delivered quite a bit of world building, there is much more described of Aligris and it’s people. Definitely a slower burn than the previous two but once things start heating up, they get really hot! It ends in a HEA as well as a set up for the next book. Mair’s parents did some incredibly nasty things (what an understatement but I’m trying to avoid spoilers here) and she is just trying to fix what she can, as fast as she can while running a country. Which is hard when it seems to literally be just her against the world. But she has some serious spunk and tackles everything head on. She also has a solid group of friends who back her 100% and each play their part in helping her succeed. Due to a ‘law’, she needs to get engaged before she can be crowned Queen but she definitely doesn’t plan on marrying anyone! Leven is so cocky and seems so unperturbed by anything, especially anything Mair says or does. I really wanted to know his motivations and plans. I loved the verbal sparring matches between Mair and Leven, they each gave as much as they got! Once Leven’s story and such was all unveiled (holy crap!) it made total sense why he is the way he is. And then of course, I couldn’t get enough of him and of them. With these two working together, there is nothing they won’t be able to get done, especially with their ‘ride or die’ friends beside them. Which is good because there is a lot to get done! I can’t wait for the next book to see what is in store for Mavey and Kal on their journey, as well as to learn more about them both. Especially Kal, he’s a newcomer to the storyline and I’m curious why Queen Sota chose him. I have no doubt that Ashe will answer all the questions and more when she gives us the next book in this exciting series!
