I can’t believe I forced myself to finish this.
Ugh.
This was truly the most poorly written story I’ve ever read.
It could have been an interesting plot.
Widowed woman moves to a new place to start over, meets a man… but also encounters conflict with another business.
Not a bad idea. (Probably overdone, but not bad)

The “sabotage” of her business was never ending. Really???
Why not write it in a way that made sense?
Carl’s character was ridiculous.
It made me CRAZY.
And the amount of issues she and Connor dealt with as soon as they met? They literally had NO foundation.
It wasn’t realistic at all.
And don’t even get me started on the “message in a bottle” they found! Wow. Why even bother to throw that in? Omg.
I was unable to make any emotional connection to that either. Like, hey we found a bottle! Woo! Tell a few people and boom! The first person to reach out is a family member? Really? This COULD HAVE been intriguing. Instead it was rushed and thrown in - for what? It did nothing for the story.

This book was literal chaos.
The writing. The editing.
Example: how is it Connor first says, (when asked by Emma about his relationships) he’s never found the right one and then later refers to being divorced. I was like, “What?????”
He would have SAID he was divorced.
So ridiculous. Terrible writing.
And the fact that the phrase, “I couldn’t do this without you” was SO OVERUSED that I legit KNEW it was coming before I even read it!

I’m so mad that I kept reading this.

No offense, but those of you who gave this 5 stars? Oof. There are SO MANY better books out there!
Read anything by Jenny Colgan and you’ll rethink your rating of this.

Woof.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was AWFUL.

Another amazing series! my only suggestion is to block some time each day because you won’t want to stop reading! Grace Meyers is an exceptional author!!

This series is amazing! Maybe someday she will write series to pick up where these left off!! You feel like you actually know these characters- how are the coffee shop and the bakery doing??? Grace is an amazing author and I hope she never stops writing. I highly recommend her books.

Awesome series

I give this series 5stars because it is truly a feel great story. In these turbulent days of hate and destruction this was a perfect 3 days out of time although I got absolutely no housework or yard work done but now I feel energized. Loved this series and this author!! Will be looking for more of her books.

Needs better editing

The storyline has great potential but it needs better editing and proofreading because several of the books were difficult to follow. Timelines and referencing people in the story didn’t always match up.

A book full of moving emotions

Emma and Conner from their meeting made this a riveting story that keeps you turning the pages. One thing after another makes their relationship. Enjoy!

rating the series

This is a beautiful story! Of falling in love, and a very happily ever after! However note to author: there was a lot of repeated words and sentences that made me skip over them!

Love and Happiness

The joy of seeing two people come together through tragedies and triumphs was wonderful. The love that blossomed and strengthened made this book come alive.
