He’s a notorious mafia enforcer and the beast lurking in the shadows.
Bryan Quinn. Dublin Beast. Soulless criminal. Despised bastard. I protect my family, fight our battles, and uphold the Quinn legacy in Dublin’s brutal underworld. We have a code—the Quinn Laws—and while women are normally off-limits, Siobhan Daley betrayed us, acted on behalf of our enemy, and poisoned our father.
She will pay for taking the life of someone I love—not that it’s the first time. But this time I have someone to hunt down. Someone to punish.
Yasmine was my first love, my only love, and the day she died, I made a promise. Never again. No distractions. No complications. No loving anyone except my family. I’ve kept that vow for years. My fists speak for me, my vengeance fuels my purpose, and my world remains dark and simple—until her.
Harper doesn’t belong in my world. A Canadian tourist who laughs too loud, pushes too far, and sees too much. She’s trouble in ripped jeans, flowy peasant blouses, and an old beat-up backpack. She’s a distraction. She’s a complication. And she's up to something.
With vengeance within my grasp, she’s the last person I want to be around. I should stay away from her, for her sake and mine. I should…but I’m a selfish beast.
Dublin Beast is Book 4 in the Emerald Isle Mafia series. A Dark Mafia Romance full of heat, betrayal, and survival that will take your heart hostage and never let go. Each book is a standalone with a HEA. This is a spicy Dark Mafia, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance, which features scenes of a sexually explicit nature.
Hey everybody and welcome back to another audiobook review today. We are talking about Dublin Beast. This book is the fourth in the Emerald Isle mafia series. Is performed in duet by one of my favorite female narrators Angelina Rocca. I absolutely love her in everything she does ever since I first listen to her in green light she has completely been one of my top favorites. I absolutely love the way she does her narration. The way her voice sounds is amazing every single time. I don’t think there’s ever been an audiobook I’ve listened to that She’s in that I didn’t love. And then our male narrator is another first time for me with J. Tipstone. Them for being the first time I’ve heard this narrator do any audiobook. He absolutely knocked it out of the park as our Irish mafia enforcer Brian. Just kind of a quick preview onto these characters and their story kind of is Angelina Rocca voices our FMC, Harper. And she is a Canadian investigator reporter currently looking for two missing women, and obviously this is extremely dangerous for her to be doing and along the way she meets the Dublin beast Brian. And Brain is on a complete mission of his own. He is obviously this mafia enforcer, he is upholding his family legacy, and he is actually looking for someone who has betrayed his family and to punish them for the betrayal and again along the way he meets Harper. So if you love the following tropes, then this book’s gonna be for you mafia romance Enemies to lovers Forced proximity
Each one of these books is a standalone so you can start from book one or you can pick this one up. I wanna give a shout out to Blue Nose AUDIO for again allow me to have a copy of this early and thank you so much to our wonderful two authors Jenn and Caroline.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
Angelina Rocca is one of my favourite female narrators and I will literally listen to anything she narrates, I was so excited when I saw she would be narrating book 4 of this series. She played the part of Harper perfectly. J Tipstone is new to me and I enjoyed his narration as Bryan (not my favourite Irish accent) but it did grow on me as the book went on and Bryan was just an amazing character.
This book didn't disappoint at all and it's actually my favourite out of the series so far, they have all been great but this one hit me in the emotional feels way more than the other 3.
I'm so very glad Bryan got another chance at love after his first love passed away.
This book had me on edge right from the very start, it was suspenseful and so full of intrigue. I loved all the investigative work, the takeouts, kept me on edge and wanting to flip the page (I immersive read) so fast to see what was going to happen next.
I can't wait to get to book 5 which I have very nicely been offered an ALC, so that will be my weekend listen 💕
P.s...I know people say you can read these out of order but I really think they are best read starting with book 1, there is an interconnected story throughout the series you might miss out on if you skip books ❤️
Bryan Quinn, known as the Dublin Beast, lives by one rule: loyalty above all. Cold, ruthless, and deadly efficient, he’s the muscle that keeps the Quinn empire intact. Love has no place in his world until Harper crashes into it.
Harper, a Canadian tourist with more curiosity than caution, doesn’t belong in the blood-soaked streets of Dublin. But fate, or maybe chaos, throws them together. She’s light to his darkness, laughter to his fury, and the last woman he should want. What starts as suspicion turns into obsession, then something far more dangerous. Because when a man like Bryan Quinn starts to feel again, everyone pays the price.
What I Loved
✔️ Bryan Quinnmorally grey, dark, dangerous, and utterly irresistible ✔️ Harper’s stubborn sunshine energy that perfectly balances his storm ✔️ The electric chemistry and brutal emotional pull between them ✔️ The tension, the heat, and the constant push-pull that keeps you hooked ✔️ The gritty Dublin underworld and the code-driven family dynamics
🎧 Narration Performed in duet by Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone, this audiobook is pure perfection. His accent? Absolute sin. Her voice? Emotion, strength, and fire. Together, they bring every ounce of tension, heat, and vulnerability to life. The duet narration format amplifies every argument, every whispered threat, every stolen breath between Bryan and Harper. It’s immersive, addictive, and perfectly cast.
Tropes & Vibes ✔️ Dark Mafia Romance ✔️ Enemies to Lovers ✔️ Forced Proximity ✔️ Morally Grey Hero ✔️ Sunshine x Broody Dynamic ✔️ Interconnected Standalone ✔️ High Heat, High Stakes
Final Thoughts Dublin Beast is a dark, seductive dive into the Emerald Isle Mafia world packed with danger, heat, and raw emotion. Bryan Quinn might just redefine what it means to be an antihero; he’s broken, brutal, and somehow still heartbreakingly human. Harper lights up his darkness in a way that feels both impossible and inevitable.
My only hiccup was the pacing some chapter transitions felt a bit abrupt, as if pieces of the story were missing. But despite that, this audiobook gripped me from start to finish. If you crave morally grey men with Irish accents and heroines who refuse to back down, this one’s for you.
After reading the second and third books in this series, I looked forward to hearing Bryan "The Dublin Beast" Quinn's story, and Jenn and Carolina delivered! This book didn't have quite the same grip on me as the others, but I still found it enjoyable from beginning to end.
Bryan and Harper's story is dark, gritty, and full of intrigue. Bryan is the enforcer for the Quinn family, and he enjoys getting his hands dirty for the sake of family, loyalty, and protecting the innocent. When he gets tangled up with an investigative journalist named Harper, and finds out that they are after the same people, things quickly heat up both on the case and between them.
I have listened to many books featuring Angelina Rocca, and she excels in the realm of characters who are a bit broken or emotionally damaged. We initially see Harper as a strong, confident, and thick-skinned woman, but things change on a dime for her around the middle of the book. She portrays this wide range of circumstances and emotions very well and delivers an engaging performance.
Bryan is, obviously, a morally grey character, but he definitely has a soft spot for the vulnerable and believes steadfastly in his family's code. J. Tipstone was a new narrator to me, and I was pretty well blown away by his delivery of Bryan's character. His voice carries a husky tone that is pleasant to listen to, and his Irish accent is darn near flawless.
So, this might just be my top mafia romance book of all time. First thing, while these books are listed as standalones and technically can be read without the others, I wouldn't recommend it. There is an overarching story that is pretty important which makes reading out of order or without the others more difficult.
This review is for the audiobook.
What I genuinely loved is that this has elements of insta-lust but their journey to each other felt genuine and real. There was plot and not just spice interspersed with stuff happening.
What truly sold it for me is J. Tipstone's acting - that's what it is - acting not narration. When the scenes with Bryan's emotions are played, you truly feel it. Like, I was almost tearing up and that's NOT something that happens with me and audiobooks. He absolutely sold this character and made me fall in love with the guy.
Angelina Rocca was great other than her accents. She isn't strong with her English and Irish accents which took me out a bit but, overall, she did a great job.
Harper is genuinely interesting and honestly struggles with her involvement with a mafia man. Bryan's grief over his lost love is so raw and the audience really feels it when our couple finally makes their relationship official.
This one isn't as spicy as the other books but the scenes were well written and impactful.
Seriously recommend starting with book one but if you only read one of these, this is the one I'd choose.
I absolutely love this series, and Dublin Beast was no exception! This time we follow Brian, one of the Quinn twins… lethal, guarded, and still mourning the woman he once loved. Then there’s Harper, an investigative reporter determined to uncover the truth behind her friend’s disappearance. When their paths collide under dangerous circumstances, sparks and tempers fly. A reluctant partnership forms as they agree to help each other with their respective missions his search for justice, her hunt for answers and along the way, their connection deepens into something real. But when Brian crosses a line that shakes Harper’s trust, she’s forced to face whether she can truly love a man with that much darkness in him. I loved how raw and realistic that felt; her hesitation made complete sense and added so much depth to their story.
The audiobook was phenomenal. Angelina Rocca was perfection as Harper… tough, sassy, and independent yet vulnerable when needed. This was my first time hearing J. Tipstone, and wow, he was fantastic. His Irish accent sounded incredible, and he captured Brian’s strength and emotional turmoil beautifully.
All in all, I’d give Dublin Beast 4.5 stars. This series continues to deliver everything I love about romantic suspense… intensity, emotion, and characters that stay with you. I can’t wait for the final book! 💚
This is Book 4 in the Emerald Isle Mafia series and I think it’s my favorite. I highly recommend reading the series in order because there is a continuity to the series that is best enjoyed in order. Book 4 is about Bryan and Harper. Oh, how I’ve missed my Quinn boys. Yes, I know I could have eyeball read Dublin Beast but each of the books in the series has been great in audio so I waited. And I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the audio production of this book done in duet style by the uber-talented Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone. This series is all the things I love about a mafia romance. Family loyalty, strong females, steam and a hard-earned HEA. This book has all of that and by now, you’ve fallen in love with all the brothers who make an appearance. This book is less insta-love than the others and J. Tipstone does a phenomenal job of voicing Bryan’s emotions. I mean, come on…he either calls her “Ponytail” or “Trouble”. Swoon. I want to also note that this book has one of the most tender handlings of a past love (death off page) I’ve ever read. Just like the other books in the series, Dublin Beast provides great mafia action with a strong heroine. I cannot wait for the last book for brother Finn. And yes, you can read Dublin Charmer now, but I’ll be waiting for the audio production! 5 stars for a great continuation of the story and 5 stars for great performances.
Brian Quinn....oh how your heart deserves to be loved.
As this series goes on I am loving this family. We have had glimpses of Brian in the first three books but nothing could have prepared me for his story. All of these Quinn brothers have hearts of gold but Brian has endured pain and loss of love which alters his way of living...until Harper crosses his path. From the moment his eyes landed on her his heart started beating again.
Harper is one brave soul. Her friends have gone missing and she is willing to use herself to find out where they were taken to. Her accidental meeting of Brian Quinn may just be her saving grace. Research on him tells her everything about him, or so she thought.
These two together are amazing. Harper has a loving heart and came into Brian's life right when he needed her. Learning of his past love and seeing him heal and open his heart up again. I love the dynamics between the brothers and how welcoming their ladies were to Harper.
********AUDIO REVIEW********
Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone were superb as Harper and Brian. Mr. Tipstone is new to me and I am ready to find more audios with him. I do not know if his accent was real or acting but it was music to my ears. Angelina Rocca is always a pleasure to listen to. Her voice is so fitting for characters like Harper...head strong and fierce!
Jenn & Carolina both of you did a spectacular job with this book. I absolutely love this book from start to finish. It truly was a whirlwind and I cannot wait to read more books that both of you have co-authored together. There is something about your writing that had me hooked from the very first paragraph.
I want to do a big shout to Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone for doing a spectacular job that truly put me in my feels, made me swoon, made me hot and bothered, made me laugh hysterically, bawled my eyes out, cried tears of joy, broke my heart and amended my heart. There was so many twist and turns that I didn’t know what was gonna happen next.
This beautiful book has officially taken a piece of my heart. This book is about Bryan & his trouble Harper. The chemistry between these two is so combustible that the first time Bryan sees Harper he knew he had to have her. This book has become my Roman Empire. If you absolutely love a mafia romance where there is so much suspense and an explosive chemistry that turns into something so much more, then this book is for you. Seriously people you need to get this book you won’t be disappointed.
Bryan Quinn, THE Dublin Beast himself, completely wrecked me in the best way. Y’all know I have a thing for morally grey men with accents, and Bryan? He’s the definition of dark, dangerous, and devastatingly irresistible.🍩
Harper is the perfect balance to all that brooding chaos—sunshine and stubbornness with a little mystery of her own. Their chemistry is explosive. Every look, every argument, every stolen breath between them had me hooked.
Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone absolutely nailed the narration. His accent is pure sin. Her delivery is spot-on emotion and strength. Together they brought every ounce of tension, heat, and heart to life.
🔥 Dark. Addictive. Emotional. Dublin Beast is everything I want in a dark mafia romance—vengeance, vulnerability, and a hero who shouldn’t make my heart race this much… but absolutely does.

I've been addicted to this series since the beginning, I enjoyed this story and the banter between the characters. I loved the strong FMC, and how she challenged our MMC. The story line kept me captivated and into the story.
Angelina Rocca is one of my top favorites and her performance was perfection! This was my first experience with J. Tipstone and his accent and performance was perfect. I loved the chemistry between these two. They brought this story to life in the best way.
Harper serves as the ideal counterbalance to the surrounding turmoil—radiant and headstrong with an intriguing air of enigma. The connection between them is electric. Each glance, every disagreement, and every shared moment of breath kept me completely captivated.
Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone executed the narration flawlessly. His voice is sheer temptation. Her performance is filled with genuine emotion and power. Together, they infused every bit of tension, passion, and emotion with vibrancy.
Dark. Gripping. Touching. Dublin Beast encompasses everything I desire in a dark mafia love story—revenge, fragility, and a protagonist who shouldn’t cause my heart to race this intensely… but undeniably does.
✩°。⋆⸜ 🔥🎧✮ Audiobook Review! ✩°。⋆⸜ 🔥🎧✮ This is the fourth book in the Emerald Isle Mafia series, a dark mafia romance — and another great addition to this amazing series. This is a series of interconnected standalones. Bryan and Harper’s enemies-to-lovers romance is spicy, intense, complex, and enthralling. Bryan is ruthless, dark, broody, and enigmatic, while Harper is beautiful, sunshine, smart, and strong. They’re opposites attract and complement each other well. The world-building is captivating, and I loved the tension, the push and pull, the intrigue, and the twists and turns. Angelina Rocca and J. Tipston did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I’ll definitely listen to this audiobook again. Highly recommend! #BlueNoseAudio

the audiobook was perfect! J.Tipstone always plays amazing irish characters, Angelina is one of my favorites .
My favourite book out of the series so far! As simple and short as this book is.. its eventful and full of life even better with the audio book the passion is really shown in this novel.
Bryan and harper really are a great team and perfectly matched for one another, 2 Adrenalin junkies against the world! Its nice seeing the 2 sides to this dublin brute hes one hell of a wild card and damn… that swing.. damn.. one punch one kill! And harper well she gives as good as she gets even from their first ecounter 🤣🤣 love her! Need a harper myself shes sexy as.. 😉😉😛
I'm am loving this series and these brothers. Bryan's story is no different, I'm excited that it still continues a little from the last books but also took a totally different path.
Harper was a women that other women admire, I absolutely loved everything about her. Also her and Bryan's love story was passion and great connection. Absolutely another great story in this series.
I have been reading this entire series annd loving it. Throughout the series Bryan’s pain and darkneess have been mentioned. This book finally gave me his story and I loved every minute. Harper is an amazing strong woman. Her ferocity and independence were the perfect blend to heal Bryan’s pain. So much passion, love and danger in these pages! I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and watching these fierce people heal and find each other
This series just gets better with each book. As with the other brothers, Bryan meets his perfect partner in love and intrigue. And another Quinn bites the dust. Really don't want to think about the fact that there's only one more unattached brother left. Really don't want to see this series come to an end.
Dublin Beast by Jenn Madore & Carolina Mac have written book 4 in The Emerald Isle Series. This is an Irish Mafia book. Bryan, Brendan twin, has been on a self awareness journey. He lost his love to a life stealing disease. He's fighting for his soul. He will get his HEA, also!,,
I am totally enjoying this series. Thank you for writing such a wonderful series that is more about family than crime. The way the brothers are with each other is how it should always be with family and extended family. Again thank you for writing such an amazing series.
This was an ALC with this being the fourth book in the series and a lot of different characters and place being in London and Liverpool. And with Brian, being one of the twins going to these places, he thought he was doing one thing, but he ended up doing another or finding another
I thought my headphones were going to melt off . I’m not usually one for mafia but this one definitely help my attention . From start to finish the characters and plot had my attention.
What a self righteous little bitch. Honestly who does she thinks she is ? I swear the twins books were awful. And don’t get me started on the siobhan situation, 4 books and we got THIS ? Jesus take the wheel…
A Beast of Story by Jenn Madore & Carolina Mac that had my headphones running hot to the finish as Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone wickedly brought this audiobook to life !

Harper An Investigative Reporter, who is on the hunt for two missing persons. A Canadian in a world she doesn’t belong, a world ripe with danger at ever turn. To say that by looking for these two women isn’t dangerous would be an understatement, what she’s doing is beyond dangerous, as she was inadvertently saved by the big Irish whose entire vibes give off danger…but after showing him that she is far from being helpless she decided that she could use his help finding the missing women, and not that she’s inexplicably attracted to him despite his air of danger.

💭 While the authors were new to me.. they didn’t disappoint with their story about an Irish Mafia and the bada$$ Canadian journalist! This had plot suspense action and yummy spice with a HEA, this was a well written story with tropes to love, so yeah.. not going to be my last book by Jenn Madore & Carolina Mac!
Now I must backtrack to the others as I went in blind.. definitely worth listening and recommend if you love the vibes listed below 👇🏽

This is the fourth audiobook in the Emerald Isle Mafia series by Jenn Madore and Carolina Mac, and I am crushed that this is the first audiobook in the series that I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. However, not reading or listening to the first three books did not impede my enjoyment of this audiobook in the least. I absolutely adored it! Those first three audiobooks have shot to the top of my TBL list, though. This story centers on Bryan and Harper’s love story. Bryan is one of the Quinn brothers, all of whom are Irish mafia. They have a set of moral rules they live and work by, though. First and foremost, they do not harm women or children—unless, of course, you’re the woman who betrayed their family and murdered their father. Then, all bets are off. Harper, an investigative journalist, is in over her head trying to track down her friends who recently went missing. And when Bryan rescues her from a bad situation with some very dangerous people, he saves her life but ruins her undercover operation. So, they decide to pool their resources and help each other in their individual missions. Their chemistry is off the charts right from the start but past emotional pain and other factors make them believe a relationship is not in the cards. They do start up a very steamy friends-with-benefits situation, though, that quickly burns hotter and deeper than either of them expect. This story is chocked full of action, fantastic banter, adventure, heart-wrenching emotion, intrigue, romance, and the spiciest of spice!
And the duet-style narration from Angelina Rocca and J. Tipstone is next-level fantastic! They both turn in truly stellar performances! Angelina Rocca is always superb in anything she narrates, and this is certainly no exception. Her portrayal of Harper is absolutely brilliant, in my opinion, effortlessly and flawlessly capturing the character’s bright, sunshiny outlook (wrapped in sass) as well as her strength and dogged tenacity. And J. Tipstone as Bryan is just chef’s kiss perfection! His portrayal of this character showcases Bryan’s protective nature, his passion, his deep love and loyalty for his family, and some truly gut-wrenching emotion—all delivered in that dark and delicious Irish accent. Together, these two talented voice actors further elevate this masterfully-written dark, mafia romance to the level of an absolutely can’t-miss audio title!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Bryan Quinn wrecked me—in the best possible way.”
From the very first chapter, Dublin Beast grabbed me by the throat and refused to let go. Bryan is everything I crave in a dark romance hero—violent, broken, loyal, and absolutely obsessed once he falls. And Harper? She’s sunshine wrapped in steel. Their chemistry is raw, forbidden, and utterly addictive.
The writing is intense and cinematic, the emotional depth surprising for a mafia romance. You feel every ounce of Bryan’s rage, grief, and longing. When these two collide, it’s chaos and passion and heartbreak all at once.
By the end, I was a mess of tears and adrenaline. This book isn’t just spicy—it’s soul-shattering. One of the best dark romances I’ve read this year.
Angelina Rocca did an absolutely amazing job bringing Dublin Beast to life! I loved that she got to play a Canadian character this time—it made Harper feel so real and relatable. No matter what kind of story she narrates, Angelina always delivers. Her performances are full of emotion, depth, and personality, and she nails every character she voices.
She truly captured Harper’s strength, warmth, and stubbornness perfectly. Another flawless performance from one of my favorite narrators!
J. Tipstone was a new narrator for me, and I was really impressed! This was my first time listening to his work, and he did an incredible job bringing Bryan and the other male characters to life. His Irish accent was spot-on and added so much authenticity and depth to the story.
He captured Bryan’s intensity perfectly—gritty, emotional, and commanding. I’ll definitely be checking out more audiobooks narrated by him after this one!
Together, they made this audiobook a completely immersive experience. Their chemistry, pacing, and emotion kept me hooked from start to finish. I’ll definitely be looking for more audiobooks narrated by both of them!
Thank you to the authors of this book and to Blue Nose for allowing me to listen to this audiobook before it was released.
Dublin Beast was captivating, intense, and full of so much emotion from start to finish. I’ve always gravitated towards mafia romance, especially when it takes place in Ireland! I just love a ruthless Irish man with a thick accident that is deep and raspy! This story did not disappoint with the many emotions I experienced through out along with the intense s*xual attraction between Bryan and our FMC. Harper, our FMC, she is miss sunshine 24/7, but still manages to be a mystery at the same time. Don’t get me wrong this woman is determined and a force of nature that cannot be controlled. Which in turn, drives Bryan absolutely nuts, but at the same time he’s intrigued and can’t part ways with her. When these two finally team up it’s a h*ll of a ride! The narration performance of Angelina Rocca & J. Tipstone was simply fantastic. The chemistry and ease between these two narrators was incredible as if they have been working together for years! Then when you add in the Irish accident portrayed by J. Tipstone I was definitely hooked! Thank you Blue Nose Audio, Jenn Madore, & Carolina Mac for this amazing ALC opportunity! Chefs kiss!

🔥 Dark. Addictive. Emotional. Dublin Beast is everything I want in a dark mafia romance—vengeance, vulnerability, and a hero who shouldn’t make my heart race this much… but absolutely does.
