It might be the fat that I've been zipping through this whole series for a couple of months, but this latest installment was a bit of a leto ff for me. Don't get me wrong; it's great! And the whole series is unreservedly fantastic. But this latest just feels a bit less appealing. I am of course now stuck waiting for the 7th book, ad you can be sure I will drop everything and devour it when it comes out.
This book is an incredible HP Fanfic so good that it works both as an original story and a fanfic. Read it you'll understand. But this is the sixth book go read the previous books in the series, first.
Something I didn't like in this book? Hela's arc confuses and muddies things up for me. The Larry Albo thing needed more development.
It's a great book otherwise. I agree that a lot of people die here but I think their deaths are written well. I wouldn't mind if the author wanted to write a series of short stories after the book ends like a collection of deleted but not really deleted scenes. I even have a name Alexandra Quick and Meanwhile...
I would have loved to have had more info about what's going on in the Indian territories. I think the proper terminology is Native American. The reason why I mention this is there's a similar extremely minor plot point about Muggle vs No Maj terminology . Anna and what she was doing . David and Dylan and their families etc. But I can do without it.
I can't wait for book seven. I guess we'll get Medea's background there. I already have some ideas.
After nearly one month of rereading the series, who got me through January, I'm so sad that I have to wait for the last book! I hope it won't be too long...
