Premise:The Dunwich Horror--- the wilderness, backward villagers, occult rituals, deadly family secrets, and horror from outer space, the usual Lovecraftian staff.
(1) I don't understand why there is a mother freaking plot spoiler on the book cover!? It is totally not cool!
(2) I like that the manga-ka is doing more to acknowledge the existence of women in this fictional world, so there are hints that there are female students at the University, yeah!
(3) the artwork is exquisite!
(4) I am glad to learn the mangaka had walked mountains and forest at night for his creation.
(5) I really like how the manga-ka drew and breathed some life into the members of the Whateley family and the villagers through his drawings.
(6) Last but not least, Gou Tanabe is the messiah for all the Lovecraft fans out there. XD
What can I say about these three volume beside that there just fantastic!! As always Tanaba Gou has given us another stunning and outstanding adaptation of Lovecraft's story.
The artwork is so well done, and each volume has a great cover, but I must say, for readers new to this story, the first volume's cover art gives away a huge spoiler to this story, with is kind of a shame. I personally loved the piece but I can see why it might rub some people the wrong way.
Overall I just loved these three manga and I'm so glad to have them in my collection.
