That's the reason when Winter meets someone that makes her soul smile, she's hesitant to give in to her feelings because how would dating someone with less than her make her look?

Jaiseem Lowe has been home from prison for three months. He's on probation and walking a straight line. The job he has at a warehouse isn't his dream career, but it will do for the moment. Jaiseem is focused on getting his life back and never again seeing the inside of a jail cell. In an effort to remain free he has to accept the fact that slow money is better than no money. No matter how tempting the fast money is, he owes it to himself to make it the legal way. He's not trying to impress anyone or keep up with the Joneses. He has to live humbly and modest in order to achieve his goals. When he keeps crossing paths with the beautiful Winter he knows he can look but never touch because she's way out of his league.

Catch up with the treacherous crew in Winter's story.

The fact that it took me four days to finish this book should tell you everything you need to know. Winter Nights did not pass the vibe check. It wasn’t bad but, it wasn’t nearly as good as the other books in the series. Winter and Jaiseem’s chemistry (if you can even call it that) was lukewarm at best. They lacked romance and it didn’t help that they didn’t get together as a couple until the end of the book. IMO, I don’t think the author did a very good job of developing Winter and Jaiseem’s relationship. The dialogue was a repetitive loop of Jaiseem constantly complaining about how broke he was or how Winter was out of his league. Sir, we got it the first 100 times you said it. Between Jaiseem’s insecurities about his finances and Winter being materialistic AF, Winter Nights was a painstakingly slow burn with an subpar ending. Not even the drama with Denim’s mama could save it.

For right now I’m rating it 3.75ish… idk something is missing or maybe I need to just let the story marinate for me and come back and update once it does. Don’t get me wrong the story was good but I’m not sure if it was the back and forth or what but this one wasn’t my favorite although I was looking forward to it.

Okay

I always enjoy any update or story Natisha gives us because I am truly invested at this point, but I felt like Winter's story was just okay. And while the issue between her and Jaiseem was realistic, I felt like it went on far too long. I was more invested in what was going on with Denim, Justice, and his birth mother.

So, I am just going to say this... I'm confused on the ending of this book. Everything was going good and then it just ended. Then there was a teaser for a new book that's like a fairytale remaking. However, I have so many questions. Jaiseem, I loved his character. He was really doubting himself a lot. If you going to be that man, be that man. Then it seemed that everyone else's story was just bunched into theirs, but I don't think it needed to be included. The only story that story that mattered with theirs was Denim. There were still some entertaining parts.

Hmmm…

I so wanted to love this story, was actually looking forward to it and then…it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t delivered like the other stories either. Their chemistry was lukewarm and honestly the whole thing felt a bit inorganic if compared to the rest of the series. A lot of the story was him constantly repeating the money thing and how materialistic she appears and listen I get it can cause contention in relationships, but this author does so well with developing the relationships of her couples past their hang ups and personal issues and this didn’t give that to me. Even the updates of some of the other family members felt like an oh by the way moment, here’s what this one is up to. I didn’t hate it, but keep Trinity if it reads like this.

WINTER

I really enjoyed Winter's story. Although she was looked at as the spoiled rich kid, Winter knew her worth and how she wanted to be treated. Jaiseem was as humble and down to earth as he could be. He didn't allow his circumstance to hinder his ability to get out there on his grind for a better life. The attraction between Winter and Jaiseem was undeniable, but their budding friendship was a plus. I like that Winter didn't care about Jaiseem's past and was willing to help him build his clientele. Even though they had a minor setback, I was glad they were able to get past that, express their true feelings, and start over to build something beyond friendship.

I ended up giving this read a 3.75/5. Winter has been a supporting character that pops up several times throughout the series. She is one of Wise's daughters and has gotten the princess treatment her whole life. She gets it from her father, her brother, her uncle, and her cousins. There's nothing out of reach for Winter. She drives foreign cars, wears designer labels, and one piece of her jewelry collection costs more than the average salary. Her rapper boyfriend is introduced in a previous book and that relationship continues on into this book. Her boyfriend's career is taking off and his access to more and more women is increasing. Eventually, that relationship runs its course and Jaiseem enters the picture. Jaiseem is far from financially stable like the men in her family or the ones she's used to taking a romantic interest in her. In fact, Jaiseem lets it be known multiple times that he's not interested in Winter because he knows he can't afford to keep up the lifestyle she's used to.

I enjoyed the read but Winter and Jaiseem's story. It was cute but I feel like nothing was actually resolved when it came to the issue of the difference in their finances. It was such a prominent issue that was brought up multiple times. Winter even asks her aunt at one point if she has ever dated a man with less money to get her opinion on the situation. To no surprise, the aunt advises that a man with less money will always feel less than in a relationship.

Several more times the finance difference was brought up. By the time the two MCs give into their attraction for one another, the finance thing is thrown out the window. It basically goes from being a major issue to "no one your age really has as much money as you, Winter. Give it time and he'll get there." I don't know, it's just a me thing but that seemed very unresolved. All the other relationships gave "I'm in this for the long haul. I'm talking marriage and babies kind of vibes." By the end of Winter's book I felt like it was a relationship for now and the money thing will be their downfall.

The story itself was still overall entertaining. I was just expecting a more solid HEA for Winter like the male characters before her received.

Winter little annoying rap boyfriend O everyone in the family dislikes. It’s funny how she brings him to dinner and her dad Wise, brother Justice and everyone drilling him with questions. O was so lame he wanted all the attention I was so relieved when Winter left him and got with Jaiseem. He might have had a hard life but he was a good guy willing to work hard to be successful in life. He was never looking for a handout from anyone just the opportunities to create a better life for himself. Jaiseem brother Freddy was another conflict and Yolanda Denim’s mom but I was glad everything worked out for everyone.

I enjoyed reading this story! Winter was there helping Jaiseem get back on his feet! The chemistry was there, and he was adamant about not receiving any handout! So she helped him build his own! I loved seeing Winter being the boss she was! Make sure y’all get into this book!

Okay Winter

This was a cute little read. I’m glad that her people don’t act out when she’s dating someone or when she introduces someone to them. She’s the first daughter but they are real laid back. Jaiseem was a good fit for her.

Well I put it off for three months but I finally read Winter's book. Eh. Jaiseem was good people, but I just found the story lacking. Maybe if it focused more on the two of them and less on the cameos, but I love the cameos though lol. I don't know. I just didn't love this one.

Have to re-do my rankings of the guys as I've now re-read all the books except Loyal's (because there is no way I'm subjecting myself to that twice.)

1) Truce - always and forever, undefeated
2) I'm moving Justice up to #2. He stands on business and his interaction with Denim *muah*
3) Chicago - he would have been #2 if he hadn't spun the block on Simone. *Shudders*
4) Wise
5) Kadaffi - Kadaffi and Wise kind of tie actually....
6) Loyal - still dead last

And then Jasieem...I don't really count him as one of the guys, but if I did he would come before Loyal.

Good story

I loved it , still got to see everyone’s growth and winters BUT it feels so unfinished I would’ve liked to see a bit more of things blossom it seemed like an abrupt ending

Yes, to everything!

Y'all, I've become so invested in this series it is insane. Winter is Wise's oldest daughter. Spoiled, but not a brat. She takes whatever daddy Wise blesses her with, but she's making her own money moves as well. She's the independent young woman that most women a decade older can't comprehend. Her boyfriend, O is starting to move funny, and his evidence becomes abundantly clear in an embarrassing and humbling manner. Winter was raised by a family that instilled a sense of pride in her that she exudes easily. This little setback is what propels her forward to do her own thing and creating her own lane outside of her family. Running into the recently realeased Jaiseem on multiple occasions has her intrigued. They go from associates, to friends in business, to friends with benefits. Jaiseem sees the life Winter lives and though intrigued himself, he know he can't provide the life she's accustomed to. She really doesn't care. The lines are blurred, feelings are caught, and this wouldn't be a Treacherous Twins book without some foolishness. Winter had a few moments of acting her age, but she is a very mature woman that in the end refuses to allow bank account commas dictate finding someone who actually wants her for more than who she is, but for the type of person she is. Let me just say, between the boys and Wise...the kids keep on coming. I really hope we see a Trinity book, and I always love seeing everyone building that generational wealth. I also want to see Winter and Jaiseem grow more.

Amazing🔥🔥🔥

Truly enjoyed how Natisha took her time with this one giving us all plus some. I knew not even half way through that O was not for Winter, she was a hustler, and a boss chick with and with her family. Happy that what put the nail in the coffin for her to get rid of him was not something that would have a long lasting side effect. Coming into her own she developed a friendship with Jaiseem not throwing in his face about his past or the fact that he wasn't rich at first she was hesitant but that was after speaking with her aunt but as time went on she knew that the type of man she want/desired was Jaiseem.
Nauseam vowing not to ever return to the system was very humble and didn't mind legal hard work; his attraction to Winter was strong but due to society he felt he was not of her stature, but in the end they realized it wasn't that at all it was how they treated each other as well as helping the other to build and grow, they were what each other needed.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed the book, but Winter was very contradicting. Her main focus was always on dating a man who could afford her. She was born into wealth and was full of herself. It felt like she cared more about how it would look to others if she dated someone who wasn’t on her financial level. She even went as far as asking her dad for approval to date a man who didn’t have much, which was crazy because she saw Jaiseem grinding and coming up. He never wanted to take anything from her. It was her offering and pushing him to accept what she was giving. When she and Jaiseem finally talked about it, and he admitted he was hesitant to move forward with her because he couldn’t afford the lifestyle she’s used to, she sat there and lied, saying she didn’t care about material things and that she even enjoys shopping at cheaper places. Girl, no you don’t. You chased ballers the entire book and couldn’t stop talking about your wealthy lifestyle.

Wynter is a baddie😍

Usually we read books and then rave about the MMC. In this instance can we take a moment to reflect on how much of a boss Miss Wynter is.

In the previous stories about her infamous relatives which includes her; brothers, uncle, father and cousins, all men with individual star personalities, stood on business, and bosses in their own right. Winter showed us that she is no different and that the boss mentality ran rampant throughout her as well.

Winter is not only beautiful, a baddie, sweet but also smart. This girl is well rounded and knew how to make money. The perfect partner for Jaiseem who is just trying to get on his feet. Natisha wrote this story so good that I didn’t want it to end. I swear she could include another twenty more relatives and I’ll be here for it. Speaking about follow ups, Aunty Trinity seems interesting 🤔🤔🤔

Winter has been my favorite, I’m soooo glad she has a book!!

Winter may be a spoiled princess, but she also has a hugeeeee heart!! She never let the money & attention get to her head & make her a nasty person on the inside & I really love that!! I love that she fell in love with a regular man, because if you look at it honestly, her brother cousins were just regular men from jump!! I love how she loves on her family and friends. I love how she stands up for herself. I love how she doesn’t HAVE to work, she knows she can sit pretty somewhere off of her dad & brother cousins money or be the girlfriend/ wife of someone Rich & famous, but she’d rather make her own coin. I think she’s truly my favorite character & I love when she be reading those men for FILTH!! Cause don’t play with BIG Winter, not the lil one!!

Lil Winter all grown up!

I’m glad Winter got her own lil story because she was so sassy and cute in the other books of this series.

Young love is so adorable, especially when it’s healthy.

Winter is coming into her own, finding her way. She’s known on social media but she is growing out of influencing and wants to establish herself in a longterm lane.

Jasieem is fresh out of prison and is laser focused on getting his life in order and back on track. He meets Winter and immediately knows she’s out of his league but circumstances keep them running into each other. What was supposed to be a FWB turned into so much more.

Rising insecurities, bitter exes, new potentials and social media blogs. Can they even make it in a relationship if they tried?

Family Over Everything

Winter was such a gentle spirited person and she showed it in everything she did!!!…Although rich, she was humble!!!…
I loved her Jaiseen together and was happy that the family never made him feel less than because his pockets were not as deep as theirs!!!…
I was beyond irritated with Yolanda and her antics!!!…She could t do better for her son to come home, but wanted to wreck the stable home he was in!!!…
I’m glad they peeped it and was ready and waiting for her cousin to come in the house!!!…
Frederick learned a valuable lesson and Karma took care of Yolanda too!!!…
Even O was able to go out on a date with Karma!!!…Crazy how he had the woman and couldn’t act right, but wanted to act a fool because she moved on!!!…

This was by far my least favorite book in the series. The chemistry between Winter and Jaiseem just wasn’t there for me. We kept hearing about how broke Jaiseem was, and it became very repetitive. It felt like his entire personality revolved around not having money and believing that made him unworthy of Winter. One minute he’s saying she’s down-to-earth and doesn’t care about money, and the next he’s convinced she won’t want him because he doesn’t have any. Which is it?

On top of that, the ending didn’t work for me at all. It felt abrupt, like the story just stopped instead of being properly wrapped up. It left things feeling unfinished. Overall, this one missed the mark for me, but on to the next book.

Absolutely Amazing Read

This crew was outstanding! Why is Wise still out here making babies and having grandbabies at the same time? He and Chicago need to get somewhere and sit down. Winter hasn't even settled down and started a family, yet he's still getting kids. Winter is a real go getter, despite all of the men in her life spoiling her. She loves working for her coins! She had to decide if she could love Jaiseem due to his financial status. He also had to figure out the same. They both learned to look at each other! Justice and Lauren had to deal with a lot from Denim's mom. This was a good read! Maybe Trinity will get a story.

Poorly Written 1.5 because I finished it

The writing seemed to take steps backwards. It was juvenile and repetitive. It had fewer editing mistakes than the other books, but there were still continuity issues. The story dragged and focused so much on financial differences that I didn’t care about the characters. The side story with Denim was ok, but overall no real character development from anyone. And the ending was trash! Winter and Jai finally have a conversation about their status, she opens her boutique and the book ends. Like he literally walked in the opening with flowers, and the book ends!?

Oddities

I enjoyed the books in the series so far. But there are number of problems common throughout the series. For instance, the word "yeap" feels very awkward as it is generally spelled, "yep." Odd.

Further, throughout the book the various characters "kissed" their teeth when frustrated or angry or being sarcastic. Generally, the term is "sucked their teeth;" and other odd phrases like "aht, aht" and "simper" were sprinkled throughout.
That having been said, I felt like this had two possibly three non-definitive climaxes and the story kind of ambled along then ended suddenly.

Winter Nights (Treacherous Twins Book 8)

I really like Jaiseem for Winter. Even though their tax brackets were miles apart, Jai really liked the person Winter was. She was "that girl" but was also humble, caring, and human. I was hoping we would get more indebt into their relationship but no. Hopefully, Trinity's book will be written and we get an update.

I love this family. They ride for each other no matter the situation. I'm like Jaiseem, it's good to see my people doing big things and living the dream,

Good read!

By all accounts, Winter should be considered a spoiled brat but age was actually a pretty down to earth individual. Jaseem was fresh home from a 3 year bid, but he came home with a hustler’s mindset. With people like Loyal and later Winter believing in him and helping him, he really got his act together. Despite the different tax brackets, I’m glad that Winter and Jaiseem decided to try things out. O, Yolanda and Freddy paid for their stupid mistakes and it didn’t affect Jaiseem.

Yasss Winter!!

Okay i LOVE Winter and Jaiseem too! Jaiseem was on a mission after getting outta jail and focused af! Loyal was definitely the GOAT for the opportunities he gave Jaiseem! Winters lil rapper nigga pissed me off so bad! But he got his karma. Lol and Denims mama and Jaiseems dumbass brother got what they deserved too! Lol i was kinda mad when this book ended. I’m not too pressed for a Trinity book but i do want more family updates! Especially with Wise and Justice having a baby due at the same time!🤣🤣🤣

Humble Winter! I couldn't wait to read this book to see just how humble my girl, Winter, was. I was pleasantly surprised at the maturity of this FMC. Jaiseem had the cards stacked against him, but I admired the fight in him. No book would be compete without the brother/cousins, though, and Wise and Chicago are still forces to be reckoned with. Loved this book, and I sure do hope Aunt Trinity and Fatima make their way into their own story! Great read!

This could actually be read as a stand-alone. We get updates on other family members in a way that doesn't bog down the story, which was a feat considering how much happened up to this point.
Though Winter is spoiled and rich, she is not haughty nor feels superior to others. We get a change of pace here in that it's the MMC who has less. He and Winter negotiate his insecurities, have a hiccup or two, then prevail.
