A pact with her best friends had Sarah Daley promising to make time for love after a long period of retreating from relationships. But before she embarked on finding her happily-ever-after, she wanted to do something she'd never done before—experience a short, hot fling. And the hunky Jeffrey Carmichael, grandson of the elderly lady who'd hired her as a private nurse, was the only guy who attracted her for that purpose.
Jeffrey Carmichael had long discovered that flings, not commitment, were what worked best for him. After being dumped by an ex-fiancée shortly after the most devastating period of his life, he'd decided that serious commitment wasn't all it was cracked up to be. So when he was presented with an opportunity to start a casual relationship with his grandmother's fun and pretty nurse, he simply couldn't resist.
When love entered uninvited, could they admit to wanting something more than temporary? And when Jeff couldn't avoid welcoming his ex-fiancée back into his life, could Sarah push aside her ghosts of the past and learn to trust again?
Miranda P. Charles writes swoonworthy, stirring, and steamy contemporary romance novels with oh-so-sweet heroes and strong heroines.
She prefers to spend her time in front of her laptop, putting into words the love stories that play in her head. Don't get her started with reading a great book, though, because she tends to not put it down until she gets to the last page even if she loses sleep.
She does have a life outside of books. Mostly, that consists of bonding with family and friends or going on romantic trips with her awesome husband.
She lives in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia.
This is cute and nice to see the Jeff and Sarah’s story. I love the Hunter Valley setting (a criminally under utilised romance setting). There are just some really cringy parts that I couldn’t get past. Also despite Jeff’s brother Zac only just having miscommunication problems Jeff walks right into that too. Buddy you should know better. Sarah seeing how miscommunication hurt her bestie recently also should have known better.
Wonderful, light romantic read! I am never dissapointed witha Miranda Charles book, she has become my go to wheni I Am looking for a light enjoyable contemporary read! In her book " Finally" you are taken back to the European cruise that Magda Carmichael has brought Rebecca and Sarah along on as her nurses from book one in the series "Forever" . Yes, this is book two , however you could read as a stand alone if you wanted but , to really enjoy I say read Forever first!
Magda, having her plans fufilled at putting her grandson , Zach together with Rebecca is hoping to get her other grandson Jeff squared away, but Jeff is a bit more of a challenge.
Sarah Daley , had promised her freinds all of them , they made a pact they would look for there forever relationships , no more casual relationships, so when she finds herself attracted to Jeffery Carmichael more then she should be it is a problem, Jeff Carmichael does not do serious ; he has been burned in the past by an x fiancé and he does not want to have hs heart broken again , so for him it is only short term ,no strings attached. The chemistry between these two puts them between the proverbial rock and the hard place; but Sarah caves to temptation and decides an onboard fling with Jeff will be fine she just will not let herself get attached,,easier said than done! The harder it gets for Sarah to stay emotionally detached , what she is unaware of is that Jeff is fighting the same feelings, though the cruise ends , the relationship doesn't ! Well until Sarah catches Jeff in a lie, his x fiancé is back working for the Carmichael's and hoping to get back with Jeff! Sarah has been burn too and this just comes too lose to the first time. Will Sarah let him explain ? Can Jeff even begin to,explain ? Where will this relationship go if they get past this ? Do you want to know ? Grab this book I was not dissapointed!
Arc provided by author for an honest review and honestly I have not read one book of Ms Charles that I did not love!
Let first say that I actually love that Time for Love series centers around five friends who made a pack at New Years Eve to not be alone. Honestly, I think that's a clever idea for a series. In Forever, we saw Rebecca and Zach reunite. Now it's Sarah's turn to find love in Finally. However, before she finds love she wants a fling and who better than to give her that than Zach's brother, Jeffrey. Plus, it's convenient. We all know by now that in romance stories, flings never workout the way the characters want.
Let me just say that I sort of predicted Jeffrey's ex would pop in the story, but I wasn't expecting how she would return. The way she reappear in his life made me not like her. For a little bit of the story I didn't like Jeff, and part of the my reasoning is how he handle his ex. He acted like an idiot and he was lucky that Sarah was willing to listen to him, but it took some coaxing. Sarah is a sweet girl in the story and is afraid to give her whole heart to a guy that's not worth the chance. Yes, it stems from a broken relationship. I completely understand why she got bent out of shape when the ex return.
I enjoyed the story and like how the story progresses from previous book. The story can be read as a stand alone, but would be better enjoyed as reading from the book one. I like how Miranda gives a hint at the end on whats going to happen in the next book. I have to say I can't wait for that story, because I have a feeling it will be a doozy.
Basically Finally is a light read that has two people who started out with a fling, but progress to something more. Of course, you can't have a story with no conflict, so we have a return of an ex. Can there be a happy-ever-after for Jeff and Sarah? So, if this sounds like your kind of read, you might want to give Finally a try.
Rebecca and Zach had just gotten back together. Sarah had not had her fling on the cruise and time was getting short. Then she noticed how Zach's brother Jeff was noticing her. And she has ALWAYS noticed Jeff. Even though all 3 brothers looked alike, Jeff is the one that gave her the warm fuzzy feeling. Sarah hasn't had a real realtionship since her ex broke her heart and she feel like Jeff can fit the bill for the next few days while on the cruise. Jeff enjoys just a casual realtionship until they both decide to go their own way, with no one between them. So it works for the next few days. He was left by his ex shortly after his grandfather and parents died and hasn't given his heart to anyone since. He is shocked when Sarah said it must end at the end of the cruise. When Magde gets sick again and needs a nurse, Jeff contacts Sarah agency and naturally by name request her. She is booked, but with the money they have, it is easily fixed. When Jeff and the brothers find out an ad agency is bring Jeff's ex back to work on the project it is a big deal, but Jeff feels he can handle it, but he doesn't explain to Sarah, after he has gotten back to the "fling" stage with her. Can they fix this or will she feel betrayed again? It is a hot and passionate book worth the read. I can't wait to see what happens with Amanda and Conner. What about Ash and Bree? Will anything happen with Greg and Gemma? Wow!!
Sometimes you have to do casual to find out you’re not meant for casual.
For Jeff, brief affairs with women was the only way he engaged with them. He’d loved and proposed once. He wasn’t going to do it again. At least that’s what he told himself when he got involved with Sarah. Too bad his heart had other ideas.
Sarah wanted a one-night stand. She got more than that with Jeff. It was supposed to be brief without the cumbersome weight of emotions to lessen their time together. But it was too late. Her heart was already involved, and casual with Jeff wasn’t what she wanted anymore.
Misunderstandings, secrets, and refusals to talk things through clouded what could have been a picture-perfect relationship for Jeff and Sarah. Past hurt can do that though. It produces emotions and feelings that might not be there otherwise. It makes a person doubt themselves and react rashly. But if it’s meant to be, the love and affection they feel for one another will mend all that’s been broken and create something better than either of them had ever experienced.
Book 2 of the Time for Love series didn’t disappoint. The emotional highs and lows were there along with enlightening and heartfelt conversation that needed to happen. Glimpses into Jeff and Sarah’s pasts clarifies their present fears. Nudging from friends and family pushes them to realize it’s stupid to throw out what they have. And what they have is what they need: love.

I love to read the books of Miranda, the stories are great and easy to read, so when I’m in between books I sometimes re-read the stories. But now it’s time to read Finally Sarah and Jeffrey story.
So still on the cruise ship with her best friend Rebecca where they’re working as nurses for the lovely Magda who loves to play matchmaker for her grandsons, on done still 2 grandsons to go.
Now sitting on this cruise relaxed this is the best time to start working on her New Year’s Eve resolution to make time for love, but first it’s time to experience a short hot fling. And the only guy who has met her standards is hunky Jeffrey Carmichael.
Jeffrey the one who doesn’t open his heart to anyone again, is having troubles to keep his feelings in order when it comes to Sarah. Why does he want her more than just for a fling and can he give it to her without getting his heart broken?
So just when you think that all finally falls in place guess who disturbs the party? Right the ex from Jeffrey makes her entrance.
Will Jeffrey get to tell his side of the story or will Sarah give him Finally the change to capture her heart and soul?
Sarah is happy one of her best friends has found love, but she wants it too and Jeff has been showing her his interest so maybe for the last few days of the cruise a fling will her get her back into her grove. Jeff only does casual no commitment ever not since his fiance dumped him weeks after the most devistating event of his life. He wants Sarah but he has to know she knows the score. When it seems like their on the same page and enjoying themselves is it possible to enjoy each others company too much?
Sarah is nothing if not honest. She tells it like it is and is honest about her feelings espically when she knows the score and doesn't want to mess things up between her and Jeff.
Jeff is scared to let someone in again and get hurt, but he knows there's something special about Sarah. Now to decide if he can take the leap into commitment again.
The two of them are damaged each in their own ways and are afraid to say the wrong thing to each other, but I loved seeing how they tread the waters and were able to tell each other about their feelings. Seeing their feelings grow and their willingness to take a leap was so sweet. Great read!!!
This follows straight on from the events of Forever (Time For Love 1) but following the romance of Sarah Daley, the friend and fellow nurse of Rebecca from book 1 of the series. (There is a group of 5 female friends hence the 5 books)
I have loved all of Ms Charles’ books and my review for this book is in comparison of the others by this author. This story for me lacked something that the others had, if you were to ask me what exactly I would not be able to pinpoint what, for me anyway it was a great read but not as great as some of the others.
Zach Carmichael from book 1 has 2 other brothers, the male in this book is one of those brothers, Jeff Carmichael. Jeff and Sarah have both been stung in previous relationships which influences how he has relationships in the present, sorry flings, Jeff doesn’t do relationships. Well not until he starts a fling with Sarah and cannot get her out of his mind when he is not with her.
Other characters are introduced which I believe will complete the 5 couples and I cannot wait to see how each of these relationships pan out.
Please note that I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A MUST READ SERIES - 5 friends and a New Year's Pack to find love in the coming year
Jeffrey thought affairs and/or one-night stands were what was his life after his fiancee called it quits. Once joining the cruise his grandmother has invited everyone on for her birthday, he meets Sarah one of his grandmother's nurses. Jeffrey would love a brief affair with Sarah, who thinks Jeffrey is a perfect fling before finding her true love. They decide their affair will last until the end of the cruise. After being back on land Jeffrey is looking for ways to see Sarah and continue the affair. Can Jeff and Sarah find love once his ex comes back into the picture? Will Sarah realize not all men are like her ex?
This series has a great group of family and friends that you want to become part of. Finally is the 2nd book and continues with the love story of Zach and Rebecca from book one along with the lives of Zach's brothers and Rebecca's friends.
I love picking up a Miranda Charles book, I know I will get amazing characters where I can relate to the challenges they face as they work to find love. Sarah is on a 4 week cruise to take care of Jeffrey's grandmother, while on the ship she decides to have a 1-night stand or a cruise only romance. She has always done long-term relationships so this is something new for her. Jeff is known for his short-term romances so he decides to take Sarah up on her offer. However, when the cruise ends, Jeff doesn't want to walk away from Sarah just yet. Jeff convinces Sarah to continue their relationship then an ex-fiance reappears … misunderstandings happen. Is Jeff ready to move from short-term to long-term? Can Sarah trust Jeff? Of course, I have to mention Jeff's Grandmother … she is funny, conniving and full of life at 80 years old … keeps her grandsons on their toes.
If you loved Forever you will definitely love Finally. Sarah is a nurse working on a cruise looking after her favourite patient Magda. The cruise was great her best friend Becca who was also Magdas nurse had found love with one of Magda's grandsons Zach. Sarah's was pleased but also wanted to find her Mr right. In walks Jeff Carmichael, he was Zachs hot brother. Jeff showed interest in Sarah, but Sarah was wary as she knew Jeff only did casual relationships and she was looking for more after not being in a relationship for a while. They both agree to give into their attraction and give a fling a go, but the fling grows into more than they ever expect. Pasts come back to haunt them, will it interfere with their relationship and feed their insecurities, can they be more than just a holiday fling. A great romantic and sexy read. Can't wait for book 3. : )
I really enjoyed this book. It's the second in the series.
Sarah made a pact with her friends that they would all find love, even go looking for it. Before Sarah settled down to find her love, she really wanted to have a one night stand. Call it a bucket list type thing....she just wanted the experience.
Enter Jeffrey, the grandson of her employer! Jeffrey has been burned in the past by his former fiancée, and is definitely not looking for a relationship, but is open to casual.
When he Sarah get together, it's fireworks! They both end up deciding they really want to be together, but are afraid to tell the other.
I am really enjoying the series, and am looking forward to book #3, it's called Again.
This was the perfect book to kick off summer. The story line was light and fun. The main characters, Sarah and Jeffrey, were relate able and likable. Both Sarah and Jeffrey have been hurt by love in the past and neither believe in love or commitment. When the decide to indulge on a short fling while they are on a cruise (Sarah takes care of Jeffrey's grandmother) they want to believe that what happens on the cruise stays on the cruise, but it is not the case. As Sarah and Jeffrey come to terms with their feelings for each other they also have to come to terms with letting their guard down and letting love in. Fun and great romance for summer reading!
I received it in exchange of an honest review and i loved it!!!! Finally is the second book of this series and we pick up exactly from where we left of in Forever (the first book)! But this time is through Sarah's eyes! And WOW!! As much as Rebecca and Zach's story was sweet, Sarah and Jeff's story turn up the heat factor more than a notch!!!! Well written, funny with a good story and characters to melt for, Miranda P. Charles never fails to deliver an amazing read!!!! I loved every minute of it and couldn't put it down! Two thumbs up!!!
This is the second book in this series. Loved the first book and wanted to continue reading about Sarah and Jeff. They both had bad relationships in the past and didn't want commitments. They just wanted a fling on the cruise. The ups and downs of what they go through on the cruise during their fling and continuing on after the cruise when her friend Rebecca and Zach have their engagement parity is emotional. Love the brothers and her friends. Can't wait to read about Amanda and Connor.
There is nothing like watching two people overcome their troubles-with-love past & learn to believe in love again, with each other!! :) I absolutely Loved this oh so sweet book!! Like Miranda's first book in this series, this one also went way too fast for me, lol! I was reading along, then boom! I had finished it.. I cannot wait to read more (& more) from Ms. Charles!
Loving this series. Have read the first two books in the series tonight and have bought number three for tomorrow. If you like a good love story you won't want to miss these books.
